In advance, dorry for any typos.. I remember experiencing ASMR as a child or even young adult because I loved whispering. About 10 years ago I was working on a project in Connecticut and I became friendly with one of the front desk people at the hotel. We stayed in touch and she sent me a request to like her TH-cam channel. ( she no longer has it). I remember that ASMR was part of the channel name and I thought that was something pertaining to her business name or her initials etc. The odd thing is that she was whispering which I thought was kinda weird, but I really liked it. I thought she "invented" these whispering videos. Hah! One video explained what ASMR was and I began exploring. Over the years, I listened to hundreds of ASMR content creators and I always know first video if I want to subscribe.
Going back to you @ASMR psychologist ... I ran across your channel last summer in a very, very rock bottom time both professionally and personally. As a marketer who does not miss a thing, I loved all the thought behind all the touches to the videos. As someone who was in angst, seeing a therapist, I appreciated the psychology behind the content. I LOVED the survey, it really gave so much credibility to your channel. I dont want to relinquish my mind to just anyone on the internet since I know the power of the subliminal. ( my first foray into hypnosis was Glenn Miller, and later I took a very expensive course and actually became a hypnotist, although I only used the tools for my own mind.). But I digress, everything at @ASMRpsychologist is presented with purpose and confidence by a mental health professional, which to me at that tumultuous time ( and still) is so precious.
To me, your videos are like 'elected' psychology sessions in my life ( I say elected because they are not intended to replace therapy, but for relaxation and 'entertainment' purposes). Still haven't received ( not in stock) my new laptop, as soon as I do ( this week) I am going to invest in myself and spend $10 a month and join your Patreon. It is like having 2 coffees or a breakfast out ... and I am working on my mind, my habits, myself, my future with this investment every day! We are blessed to be a part of this community. You should have a TV show! Cheers, Gloria

When I was little I used to feel tingles when someone whispered or brushed my hair. I didn't discover it was a thing until a few years ago. Discovered your channel just before lockdown. It has been a great source of support and safety during uncertain times. It's also been extremely helpful in how I approach my own therapy . Thank you as always for everything you do 🙂

It was Maria folding towels that made me aware I experienced ASMR. I still do like roleplays and such, but lately I prefer videos that offer personal growth tools along with the tingles.

"Vanquish negative self-talk" How fortunate are we that Emmawould offer such a life changing video to her community? A huge thank you and much gratitude on Canadian Thanksgiving! I have yet to make my way to your Patreon, because my laptop died and that took all my time. As soon as I do, I will report here! Cheers! As soon as I join, maybe someone will allow me to "tag" them as next, so we could help Emma to keep creating the world-class content she does! We all get a lot out of it, otherwise we would not be here. Let's give a little bit back despite the rough times, because she and her beautiful content deserve it! Any thoughts on this? Perhaps an "upthumb" at the very least.
P.s. In Canada and the US ( I lived in SF for three years) I only hear thumbs up! Love the 'up thumb' ..

I didn’t really think about the way I treat myself until somewhat recently. I just sort of figured I was hardening myself against deep disappointment by keeping my thoughts “real.” You know, things like “Don’t even think about it, that’s for other people, not people like me.” But I can see it’s an issue and want it to be gone, or as gone as I can get it to be anyway.

Just a quick, light hearted and positive comment. I had the joy of watching this upload almost immediately after finishing The Hobbit movies and it's an odd thing to think that a movie can be a primer for a 'therapy' session, but in my mind I was projecting some 'elven' qualities onto you/the creator, which seems absurd a day later but looking back I can see similarities with the hair, the ears, the eyes, the aura, and the serene ethereal feel that is intrinsic in much of your content. I also invested in an HD tablet deliberately for immersing myself in content from ASMRtists and the clarity and vividness really helped to engage my attention. Apologies for not commenting on the always positive affirmation content of the upload this time, I'm just amused at how unintentionally easy it was for my mind to carry the other-worldly vibe of the movies over into a bit of self-help, and use it to it's advantage! Brains, huh... Thank you!

I've been gone to bed with this one a couple of times now, and I found it's correlated with a very unexpected effect: I recall having a lot more dreams! I don't know if there's a causation here, but it's certainly interesting, as I almost never remember dreams.

When I get anxious I keep talking and then i noticed that what I was saying didn't make sense and he just stared at me. That put my mood down because I felt dumb and embarrassed and I don't want him to think I didn't do the reading when I actually did, I just didn't feel like talking. So now my head keeps replaying that awkward moment 🙃

    Dear Dr.
I very much appreciate, enjoy and use your videos to fall asleep. But I am having a significant issue with the Sleep...Sleep...sleeP emphasis on the P section.
    Time and time again now.
This section wakes me up. I was Sleeping so hard last night I have a playlist auto playing all night, when this part played it might as well have been a alarm clock.
I have no way to skip this section I have tried and tried no luck it wakes me up.
I can’t fall asleep to the videos anymore, I am looking back through the sleep hypnosis videos seeing if I can’t find one that doesn’t include this sound.
is that part included for a specific reason? can it be replaced with something else, left out silent in that part, or the bubbles sound, nature sounds all are wonderful
I am just a bit bummed. It looks like this section is included and extended in the most recent sleep hypnosis videos .
If this isn’t a fan have part and it wouldn’t be a big deal To not have that.
It would really help me. I wonder if anyone else has a reaction to this?
