    Wiring harness that goes between car and after market head unit harness has two blue wires, one solid and one with white stripe (amp turn on and antenna wires), while the head unit (after market stereo)harness only has one solid blue wire that the book labels for amp turn on. My question is: can I just connect all three blues, the solid on the head to both the solid and striped on the harness? Or just cap one off? Don’t have an amp and don’t think it’s a power antenna but not 100% sure.

      Do you have an Android radio or a 2DIN radio? You may need to buy special harness or canbus for an Android radioto work. For a 2DIN radio, you need to take the speaker feeds from the RCA ports of the radio. Which means you must have an harness thar can support that.

      Hi, I encourage you to determine what the color wires of your radio harness means. 12 ACC and 12 V constant are needed for the radio to power up. However, the 12 ACC which is usually the red wire prevents the radio being powered up without the key ignition turned on. From your description, it seems the 12 ACC and 12 V constant have been mismatched. Try swapping the wires and check.

      The purple +12v reserve cam is the trigger for the radio to go into reverse camera mode. The purple should be connected to the positive wire your reverse light in your trunk.

    Hello, I have a strange problem, so to speak, when I turn on the ignition on the red wire which I assume is from the ignition switch I have 12V, as is normal, but when I turn on the ignition I have 8V, can someone help me???

    • @eazidiy
      @eazidiy  26 วันที่ผ่านมา

      The issue can be cause by battery, the ACC wire or fuse. Use a multimeter to check the voltage at the battery, at the fuse box, and at the ACC wire itself to identify where the voltage drop is occurring.

    I have a question I just hooked up an aftermarket radio on a 2009 Chevy HHR I connected all the wires yellow to yellow but on my harness it comes with a separate red wire I connected that to the ignition switch fuse but it's draining my battery What could be the issue??

    • @eazidiy
      @eazidiy  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Red wire should be for 12V ACC. Only Yellow wire to 12V battery. If you connect the red wire to your battery directly, it mean your radio will be on at all time.

      Red wire is 12V ACC. Prevents your radio constantly turned on and drain your battery. Please check your radio wiring diagram to determine which wire is for the 12 V ACC.

      So on some older cars the radio is t designed with a memory circuit. Mine wasn't so I had to run a wire in to allow it to have a trickle of power to save presets while the car is off. A way to figure out which wire is your accessory wire and your battery wire is to take a multimeter to the wire and to your ground. if it shows 12 volts until you turn the car off it's your accessory. If it keeps showing 12 volts after the car is off it's your battery wire.
