Nice video, would like to say if you used your crimp tool correctly, the wire would not pull out, you needed to turn the wire 90º when you made the second crimp to curl the terminal joints around on themselves
Truly excellent video, in fact the best of this kind that I've seen. I've always been a bit apprehensive about fitting a stereo but this made everything clear. If I could like this twice I would :)
Good advice. I would argue about useing the wrong tool to crimp, try a ratcheted model that crimps two points at the same time against a third, if you find you must buy tools dont, just use the butt connectors with solder in them and heat with a disposable lighter or even a hair dryer, this also eliminates the need for any added tape as the outer silicone shrinks and is far better, not to mention it is very easy to use even for someone who has never solderd.

This will be the 1st time i ever installed a headunit and an Amp with a Subwoofer! I appreciate your response and your instructions as i want to make sure i install my equip correctly! Thanks alot QualityMobile!!!
When the directions say to connect black wire of ASWC_1 and wire from Pin 6 of vehicle's wire harness to Chassis Ground does that mean I completely cut off the wire from Pin 6 of vehicle's wire harness and ground it straight to the vehicle along with the black wire from ASWC_1?
Don’t cut it off, just connect it to ground on your harness.
Good information, explained well. Thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
Bought the 7018b radio. Where does the orange & black wire get connected to? and I also have a brown wire?
😊😊awesome clear instructions! Please make more videos.
Very nice video 👍 .. Quick question my truck has both orange wires Dimmer wire and illumination wire ..should i connect both to the harness?
Great video, simple and straight with complicated terms or such. Only real complaint is why run the annoying background music during video, people like me with hearing problems sometimes cant hear the voices well because of the background music. Apart that one annoyance, a good simple straight forward video
Sorry about the audio! Glad it helped. 💪
Thank you for your time. This was very informative
Am not planning on pulling that hard on my head Unit 😂😂😂
Thanks. I understood everything up till 3:50. However I now understand completely what I have to do: pay someone to do this 🤣
lol, re-watch, it really isn't that difficult.
This did not solve my problem... but it allowed me to understand what i was facing which allowed me to figure it out. Thanks.
Happy it helped and you were able learn form the video!
I installed pioneer stereo aftermarket and have no sound should I connect the blue wire to the antenna to get sound ? Great video very helpful
How do you ground the black cable?? (I only have one coming out of aftermarket stereo)
What's your make/model/year? All you do is line up the matching colors and solder or crimp
