    Man! I really appreciate this video. I have a JDM car and when I got it the speakers didn't work. I pulled the head unit out and if you could see the rat's nest of wires, you would probably throw up. I pulled the wiring diagrams for the head unit and the car. The head unit had a blue/white wire that was connected to a blue/white wire on the harness adapter. There was a solid blue wire that was on the harness adapter that looked like it was just cut. Looking at the wiring diagram for the headunit, there SHOULD be a solid blue wire in the harness that just wasn't there. Pinned a new wire in there and connected them together and BAM...I got music.

    I've been browsing your channel for a while now hoping to find a solution to an issue I am having with a new Alpine ilx-w650. I have got everything wired up with a kta-450 and for some odd reason when I was testing out the unit today, I went to increase the volume to 20 it started popping almost like a CD was skipping. I've done a few systems in the past and I have never encountered this issue. If you have any solution I'd greatly appreciate it. Keep up the great content. New sub here.

    Very well explained . Question: My kenwood harness only has the blue/white and the metro harness has a solid blue. problems is that I am needing the blue/white for remote amp turn on. Do I need to make a 3-way connection? The antenna does not go up and down, but I don’t not know if the radio(am/fm) signal is somehow amplified and needs the 12v turn on still. Vehicle is a 97 Chevrolet 1500 no Bose

      Same here lol I was just thinking of running the amp wire turn on wire from my amp straight to my fuse box accessory panel to one of the acc fuse connection with a fuse in line that way it turns on and off whenever the car is shut off.

    • @mardan1974
      @mardan1974 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Forever_abis I ended up running the amp wire to the back of the stereo using a three way connector from walmart to connect it to the blue/blue-white wire and it worked just fine.

    • @Vid_Master
      @Vid_Master 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@mardan1974 you can splice into the blue turn on wire for your headunit. And by splice, I mean use wire strippers to make a cut jn the insulation in the wire (dont cut all the way through the wire, just pull the blue vinyl sheathing back) then wrap the new wire around it, and run that wire back to your woofer (or speaker) amplifier. The blue / white wire has a low voltage running through it whenever the car's key is in accessory or if the car is fully turned on, and amplifiers / headunits use that as a signal to turn themselves on. You can daisy chain it. Test this first before doing all the cable management in case it doesnt work

      @devenpapineau6261 So following @jptheinstallguy *general* rule of thumb guidance on the situation.. I joined ALL blues + white and blues , together. My amps turn on remotely as they should, no adverse affects anywhere in the the system. The solid blue's provide a signal boost to a radio antenna you might or might not have, regardless u can join all blue+white&blues together no problem.

    Can you just connect the blue wire from the factory side to the red wire for a more stable connection? As well goes for those antenna adapters like the 40-HD10 w| the blue wire, can it also just be connected to the red acc wire since it cuts off anyways w| the key and just leave the remote turn on wire to do it’s dedicated function to turn on amps IF needed. My scenario is like one you mentioned where i have the blue/white wire from the aftermarket radio harness but only a solid blue wire from the factory side.

    You can connect your aftermarket amp remote wire to any accessory in your car that turns on and off when you turn the car on and off. Just splice into the positive wire of the accessory you want to use. Then connect your remote wire to your amp. I’m running all my amps remote wires to my lighter socket in the back seat console. I don’t use remote wire on my HU for my amps. I do use it for powering on other things from time to time tho.

    I appreciate the video bro it explained alot about the FM radio wires I couldn't figure out no video out there so this provided so much details
    A question I bought screen for my 2015 Jetta it came with the blue wire in the harness say antena but don't find anything to hook to
    Will it be in original Jetta harness ? Maybe I did buy adapter for antena but sometimes reception is garbage when driving going up down hills and my stereo shows america when choosing a country but I live in Canada
    So what should I look for in 2015 Jetta in original harness if it has one I'm not sure if has a wire in original harness for FM
    I already booked up the antena cable in my screen with adapter but original car antenna cable didn't have blue wire
    So the blue wire is in the harness if the car has it ?
    Also does 2015 Jetta come with anything like amplifier to hook up the blue wire?
    The after market harness has blue wire says antena I just don't know what's for or where to attach it
    Sorry for confusion I tried my best to explain it

    Great instructional video.... I have a question...when wiring in a relay, are you using the Remote turn on/Amp BL/WH wire to directly energize the relay, and then powering the remote switch over the contact, or energizing the coil and the amp switch with the same wire.... I ask as I intend to control a relay for a few appliances a coupe LED's, and Dashcam... entire draw will be about 400MA... I guess the question is, will the BL/WH pick the relay and trigger the amp switch without over stressing the output?... I know you said you've triggered two amps with the one output, but I have no idea want the amp switch draws verses the coil of the relay... probably triggering a transistor in the amp?? The Amp output should be on anytime the headhunt is on correct? Thanks my man... much appreciated!!

    So I connect the remote turn on to blue from stereo but the stereo will stays on why?.

    I'm not getting 12 volts with the remote turn on wire with an aftermarket deck. Wire harness has both remote turn on and power antenna. Should I connect to the antenna wire instead?

    Hi JP
    New subscriber, great content.
    I have a question.
    I have a Mustang GT 2006 with the shaker 500 system.
    My Shaker was draining my battery ( known problem) , so I decided to upgrade to a plug and play head unit from Amazon( Chinese head unit).
    I know it’s cheap but this is an old car and I just wanted to solve the issue and get Apple CarPlay.
    So I plugged everything in and it worked great except my amplifiers in the doors aren’t working. The company has been nice, but no help. They told me to connect the AMP wire to the ACC red wire, the problem is that 12v from the new radio, the Shaker amps runs on 5v. I purchased a 20$ step down adapter from Redwolf. I have the Mustang wiring diagram. The wire that powers the amp is green/ purple that plug connects the their plug , an antenna (blue) wire. Their plug has two blue antenna wire( one above the other) I cut the blue antenna wire (that connects to the green/ purple)and connected the yellow wire from the adapter. Ground to ground and the adapter blue to the ACC red. Amp still doesn’t work. I did not install their blue Amp wire from their head unit, should I? I thought that blue wire was for an aftermarket amp.
    Just so you know I didn’t cut the second blue antenna wire and I will tape off the other end I cut.
    Hope this makes sense, this stuff is new to me.
    Any input would be appreciated!
    Thanks

    Thanks for running these scenarios. I have an aftermarket JVC head unit with blue white wire that is already connected to a blue wire. I am installing an amp for my sub. How do i connect the remote wire that is coming from the amp to the already connected blue/white wire and blue wire. Am I supposed to do like a 3 way connection? Thanks in advance!
