Also, i will day this guy is an absolute savage. These transmission with the 4 wheel drive are hinestly EXTREMELY heavy, very long, and is a very tight fit when separating and mating to the block great job mN u are a great mechanic!

That boly for the steering stabilizer is actually a 15mm!!! Just for those who might get annoyed lol. Great video brother. I am a 25 yar old Transmission apprentice at a Ford Dealer and i know these transmissions and trucks like the back of my hand. Ive done about 7 rear planetary recalls for these units and it is so fun. I am blessed to be in the shop i am!

Great job and you did an excellent job explaining everything. Don't think I'm criticizing in anyway. I would only recommending putting back on the tire after starter removal just in case you ever have a jack stand failure. THANKS FOR THE VIDEO.

This helped me with a 2019 f700. I'm in the middle of a upper oil pan oil leak. There was a few secrets you left out, but it helped a lot.
Thank you for making this video.

@M G I can't remember now. I remember it was a pain, and we had to buy $150 metal wipes from Ford.
If you have any specific questions, maybe I will be able to remember.

@Elmer Adams nice, but of you have to do the upper oil pan and you need to remove the transmission it's better to take off the transfer case

No need to remove the oil filter and housing for this job. The new guy at the shop has the habit of removing more parts than needed and this housing turns this into a messy job. I used to remove this part as well, until I figured out a few years ago, that you can flawlessly remove this starter without touching this filter and housing. You might have to flip the starter around a bit to bring it down to the floor but it shouldn't be much of a problem. Worst case scenario, you can leave it resting safely on top of the chassis if gives you hell. Just be careful not to force it and break any of the oil filter housing sensors on your way out. I spin the flywheel with a 8 inch pry bar through the converter access window, with one hand. Just find proper leverage and careful with your wrists. Pry the teeth 21 to 24 times to bring each stud and nut to the access window. I use a medium 3/8" hand ratchet adapted to a 1/2" 15 deep socket and loosen them all by hand.

I put my 2021 F350 in the Ford shop this week torque converter seal is leaking so this video will give me a better idea how much labor it takes to get the transmission out the pickup has less than 22,000 miles and I'm glad it's still under warranty just wondering go to the trouble of taking the transmission out is it a good idea to go ahead and change the oil upper oil pan gasket for thanks for your great video

I know it's been a while since you made this video, but I have a dumb question. I went to replace the crankshaft position sensor in my F350 and it fell down in the bellhousing. Is there an easy way to get that out of there? I tried fishing it out with no luck from both sides through the starter access and the sensor access. I have concluded that I have to pull the tranny back a few inches to get it out. With that being said, do I still need to remove the torque converter bolts?

Did you leave the torque converter in the transmission when installing it or did you mount it on the fly wheel and then stab the transmission??

I am about to do the rear.main seal on my 2011 f350, one of the things that keeps.me thinking is the transmission removal, specifically the torque converter, so when I remove the transmission, do I just leave the torque converter there and when installing it back in just the same as removal??

Good job. I’m gonna have to tackle mine also. Which way did you have to spin the motor? Clockwise or counter clockwise? Also does it matter if the flywheel and torque converter have to be in the original places like before or it can be righted to a different spots?
