A 48 will be hard shifting because whoever went through the vb went to the max on all the predsure building drill spots instead of making it a smooth shift
I just found this video and i'm truly sad that Morgan is no longer with us. Guys like him make this industry better, working together and sharing our success and failures so we all benefit. He was a leader in the ford world and really advanced 6r140 progression. RIP Morgan.

Ford tries again; Diesel program has failed so let's try transmissions. "even a completely failed transmission still works unlike its GM and Dodge counterparts" ?? the only way a "completely failed transmission" can still work is if all the internals have failed and welded together giving a straight-thru drive. GM uses the HD Allison transmission developed in WW2 for tanks and upgraded and improved since and with a REAL track record for over 75 years.

My 6r140 shifts hard when cold 2015 f250, it's fine when it warms up, no slipping....what could be the problem?

The 6r140 and 6r80 are lepelletier transmissions. These are based on the ZF6hp.
man this guy legit died the next day in a car accident. RIP. he left behind his 2 sons and wife.
I own a 2017 F350 dually with a Stryker unit. Transmission was junk out the gate. I had it rebuilt and all is much better.

the ford 6r140 is more tough i see 600 hp on stock tranny.....alison add 100 hp and blow up.......
