Thank you Shaun, learning a lot from you. Had a tough day on the lakes here near Salisbury this week, but had a fun time!

Hi again Robin, We are all finding things difficult. Its only for the best of a week when stock goes in that its a bit easier. After that it's tuff going. But hearing the reason that we are on the water, like having fun and chilling. Good on you. So easy to get caught up with numbers. Nice to hear from you. Take care. Shaun.

Thanks Shaun, good video again and lots to consider on what to do when the go-to killer lure stops working. All the best Dermot.

You will find a good few waters will have a variety of fish. We have Rainbows, Browns and Blues. The browns and Blues being more difficult to catch for most. But you do have to target them differently. Thanks for the time sending your comment, I really appreciate it. Take care. Shaun.

Hi Mate, hope your keeping well. I am nearing the end of the shit. And will soon find out what and where I may be. Not so much time on the water. May be one day. Catch up soon.

If you only you had uploaded this video earlier Shaun! I had the most unsuccessful day today, along with the other anglers! 😂

Had a very similar situation a few weeks ago at Garnffrwd. About eleven on the water. Conditions difficult. Watched all the methods being fished. Then done something different. Fished as normal to start. Small nymph fast and high. A few follows and one on and off. ended up getting four fish out with our small cling film fly, fished slow and almost static just about on the surface. Very slow fishing. but by the end of the day ended up top rod. We seem to be scaling down more and more once those fish have been in for a week or more. Good luck with your next trip. But remember you can learn more on those difficult days. Chill and enjoy. Take care, and thanks for which I think is your first comment here. Shaun.

Great video butty, a lot of thought gone into that, some lovely fish caught.

Thanks Mike. Ye I spend a lot of time thinking how to word things. Its all there, but its how you put it across. I am aware how things can be taken the wrong way. And there is always what if. How fast things change. Years ago stock would go in and it was fun for weeks. Now the changes are so fast. We are seeing fish go off over the week. By week three we are slowing to almost static and very small on top, or near top. Take care mate. Thanks again. Shaun.

Ellerdine last Monday, 10 fish on a real mix of flies and techniques. If I had to pick one set up that appeals to both stockiest and resdent fish I think a cast with an olive apps and a red or pink one work well at this time of year. If no fish come to the pink, put a smallish name on instead.

Sounds like Ellerdine fishing well. Will be up next month. Our red weighted apps is the best we have ever fished. We do have other colours, but don't seem to do as well. Mind have not fished them in quite a while. Catch up soon mate. Shaun.

Informative and entertaining, as always. You’ll need to control Steve in that wind 😂😂Really wish I had C&R locally in Somerset as I can’t always find someone to take my catch. Keep posting Shaun and all the best for the rest of the year 👍😍

I held that tarp for a while. Its amazing how strong that wind was. Would have been funny if it had blow him in. To be honest we would not have c/r if it was not for so many people traveling from so far to fish hear. 2 + hours is average. C/r could be burning out. There are disadvantages to having it, which I can not go into. But will be interesting to see where it is in the next five years. No worries working on the next already. Thanks for your support. Shaun.

You mean you like the idea of a challenge. Good on you. As this is what its all about. Not impossible, Just a bit of a challenge. Due to you not having much in the way of c/r waters restricts us going all that way for. Take care mate. Thanks for the comment. Shaun.

I’ve just found out where Hays Castle is. I was in St. David’s for a week last month, painting in Abereiddy . Should have put a rod in the boot!

What a bummer. Mind you may never have finished the job. Unless you fancy a challenge, let me know when you may be given it a go. I will give you updates on stocking and how its fishing. But as you know, there are no guarantees.

How about "Green Gage" as in the type of plum? It being a play on the phrase Plum choice is an informal term that means something is very desirable or superior, especially when given in return for a favour. For example, you might describe a job as a "plum job".

Nice one John, Seems like your the only one that caught that bit. Or may be like me they struggled. But that sounds great. Love the bit Desirable and Superior. So we could have a Green Gage. Will have to send you some for coming up with that. Thanks John. Catch up soon. Shaun.

Hello my friend, the chem sky's are what's killing the aquatic life .all life fir that. It's called geo engineering and as a old woodsman I too see changes

Another point yes. The more I have studied this the more it hurts. The changes over the last four years is massive. Prior to that it was slow. Have we reached the other side of the hill. But what ever happens we will see changes. and sadly, not for the better. Take care Jon. Shaun.
