I just bought a 2024 CX-90 (looks just like a CX-70) and I could not be happier. This vehicle is 100% made in Japan and you truly get a lot more for your money. If feels and handles way better than my wife’s Lexus. I strongly recommend this vehicle to other buyers.
Me and my father looked at this and the cx90 in person last Thursday and I just showed my mom the 70 on the computer. We really like the way both look inside and out considering we enjoy the look and feel of the palisade too. At the moment me and my father like the 90 and 70 better than the palisade. You guys came in clutch
Mazda’s reliability is top notch. I had a 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid. Lots of glitches. Lovely interior and good MPG but unreliable and the dealer will NOT help you at all. Please don’t buy the Hyundai. 🙏You’ll regret it.
Love that color combo which is what I want for my next car. My brother & sister in law may eventually buy a CX-90 to replace her 2013 CX-5 as we checked one out a while back as well as a Highlander & as nice as the Highlander is, we for sure like the Mazda much better.

The Mazda CX70 makes the Lexus RX and Mercedes GLE look like a joke, I still think a BMW X5 is worth the extra money for some crowds, but the CX70 is the superior choice for other crowds
I'd take this over the lexus and probably any non-amg mercedes, not a fan of their handling for regular models. Would take the x5 in a heartbeat though if money wasn't an object. This is as close as you can get without going to real luxury vehicle and is a great first attempt at the rwd layout with inline six, but you just can't beat the b58 with the zf. I think if mazda had gone with the zf as well, it would be a much closer contest.
Toyota fans will still get the Lexus. Mazda is for those who don't really care about brand prestige or badges but rather the value of 'car per dollar' and proven reliability. And in that sense, Mazda takes the cake.
In heavy traffic city like Bangkok, Jakarta or Manila, the fuel consumption will be lower than 25mpg. CX-5, CX-8 & CX-9 with Skyactiv-G 2.5lt engine technology even hardly achieve 25mpg.
Good review guys, but you are remiss for not comparing this mazda to a 25 Acura MDX Advance (even better a Type S Model to match the HP and Torque numbers). The MSRP on the Acura MDX Advance is $65-66K (The A-Spec Advance which is really Eye Catching goes to $67K). The MDX Advance Non Type S is less Powerfu and has much less Torque but has other "features" like Massaging Seats, a New Google Based Touch Screen, Interior Lighting Themes, probably the best SH-AWD system in the business and they chnaged their stereo system to a new B&O from the terrific ELS system (?). My 22 MDX Advance lease was just extended for 6 Months allowing me more time to evaluate / decide in the near future: Keep what I have and Buy it out in February 2025 for $35,400 (only has 21K miles on it), or get a New 25 MDX (lease) or consider this Mazda. I will test drive this Mazda in the immediate future pending doing more "Homework". I like to check Car Forums to read about issues and problems ......the Mazda CX-70 has some, especially with the PHEV model !! Having said, this color Combo is eye catching. Mazda's Red is outstanding !
@@Chiroman527 I’d say either keep the MDX you have or replace it with a CX70/CX90, the 2025 MDX isn’t much different from your car, additionally your MDX should be very reliable for many years to come, check out the BMW X3 M50 and BMW X5 40i M Sport too if you really want to try something different, buying out your leased MDX would def be the most economically beneficial choice, but the CX70, CX90, X3, and X5 are all worth a look if you really want something new, no point in replacing your MDX with another one imo, you’d be paying more for the SAME car
I just wish they had really chiseled that rear quarter a bit more to really give it a more sporty and less mom and kid mover rig. Honestly it's the window and a slight squaring and it'd be a home run
I would just get a CX-90 and fold the 3rd row seats down and tada it’s a CX-70. The fact that they didn’t even remove the rear cup holders is pure laziness.
Cx70 has a better looking front nicer wheels, black out trim, Alexa, poly Grey, melting cooper, zircon sand, and best of all the red interior is the best looking Interior that any mazda vehicle has.i got a poly Grey with red interior and i think it looks nicer than any 90 combination by far
It's amazing that people actually complain about this, lol. Who cares if the cup holders are still there? If you're tailgating or someone is sitting in the back, camping or whatever... they'll have cup holders. Otherwise it would just be an open, meaningless space.🤷🏾♂️
The Acura MDX is an equal (arguably better) contender that wasn’t mentioned in this video. I think if you’re considering the CX-90 you have to include the MDX in the shortlist, too. It ticks the same boxes.
MDX button shifter for transmission is poor ergonomics, as well as their center stack is messy at best. Fuel economy trails CX-90’s. MDX is older model but the price / discounts may not reflect that.

I test drove a CX-90 with the same engine, I wasn't impressed. We were trading in a 2022 CX-9 turbo carbon edition. We ultimately chose a 2024 CX-5 turbo premium edition in machine gray metallic.
Anyone with an X3 or X5 prior to 2018 didn't have a touchscreen either & could only use the iDrive controller to control the screen. So the fact that is still a partial touchscreen for wireless Apple CarPlay & wireless Android Auto is a big deal since your phone will automatically connect when you get in so it will default to being a touchscreen once you enable the "Touchscreen while in motion" setting from the Infotainment system's Settings
I feel like Mazda needs to remodel all vehicles they are kinda starting to look like minivans...to me at least. Maybe start to shift towards the Boxy, curvy, look.
The 70 looks equivalent to the 90 mid cycle refresh in the way of a visual upgrade. None of the chrome or silver does it for me. I would prefer the 70 style with a third row
A SUV $50k plus and still not a full touchscreen is ridiculous. It's a 2025 vehicle and Mazda still not putting in full touchscreen capability is a mystery to me.
It's quite good for a vehicle of this size and power level. The AWD Hyundai Palisade gets 19/21/24 for comparison and makes *significantly* less power and torque.
Mazda new mission is to build luxury cars at an affordable price you don't have to buy one but you get more bang for the buck than Acura Infiniti, Lexus at 10k less and just as good maybe better no other Japanese manufacturer makes a cuv with a inline 6 red bias with awd. Mazda is the best luxury brand coming out of Japan.
I just bought a 2025 Cx-70 S-turbo premium. The version of premium plus you show has a beautiful color interior BUT that dashboard MADE WITH CASHMERE TYPE MATERIAL, is horrible. Mazda should have kept it the same as the seats or door material.
Do all the Germans just lie about their hp/tq numbers? This is still a 6.2 second 0-60 vehicle (not that it really matters) but any german luxury SUV with over 330 hp/tq is in the mid 5s or less, and most weight even more than this.
@ so then why is something like a 2025 Honda Passport (another large 2 row SUV) with only 280 hp and 260 tq equally as fast as this too? Something with this Mazda just doesnt add up.
Exactly . Is350 awd and es350 owner here . All the other company’s cars look fancier in and out but it’s the build quality n reliability along with the mark Levi systems that never fail .
Because a retired Lexus engineer was so impressed with the panel gaps and overall build quality on the Mazda that he bought one and made a video about it.
Why they disable the touchscreen function makes no sense. I have a 2025 X5 and love the option of using both the screen or dial. Had a 2024 CX90 for a rental a few months back and hated the dial. Thought for 2025 that would be updated to use both ways as we were considering this for a replacement of my wife's current lease, but when I told her it only worked when in Carplay she said no way.

The CX70 is slightly cheaper than a comparable CX90, the CX90 has a lower buy-in price compared to the CX70 as the base CX90 has less features than the base CX70, the CX90 has 6 trim levels while the CX70 has 5 for a reason, they’re both fantastic but I prefer the exterior of the CX70
This is superior to the RX The RX has ostensibly been discontinued. Why would anyone buy a gussied up Camry on stilts when the cx70 is the real deal? The RX is not a luxury car. It no longer exists

I have my CX70 PHEV GT for 2 months and it has been a very good car, i found it is as comfortable and quiet as a Lexus RX.
I love this Mazda SUV & I consider buy this.

Only issue is that you can't get a second row bench on the higher trims of the CX-90, which is why I'll be buying the CX-70 in a month or so.

If you get the plug in version it is not turbo but the non plug ins are both turbo and mild hybrids.

I currently drive a cx-5 and I love that interior but man 25 MPG is a deal breaker.

They updated the CX 90 to the hilt then removed the 3rd row then won't offer the CX 90 the same updates. Pass

It's Alcantara, which is a synthetic suede and is on both the seats and on the door panels.

Once you get used to the dial it's easy to adjust and it's much more reliable than a BMW.
