Back at the end of August, I traded in my 2022 Mazda CX-5 to start a lease on the PHEV CX-70, only put 1100 miles on it so far, but, hands down an amazing vehicle, especially because of the amazing incentives and MSRP discount Mazda was offering…I love this vehicle
@@mikeparodi I know! When I tell people I leased it from Mazda FS (with the intention to buy it at the end of the term), they can hardly believe that I got $14,850 off the suggested retail price ($56K->$41K) in total incentives and Mazda rebates!
I am coming up on lease end on a 22 cx5 preferred. Only put 16k miles on it. I would love to get the cx 70! Sounds like an awesome vehicle. How did you get the cx70 discount? Is it a standard incentive or something you negotiated?
@DeeEllEff WOW.....Great Deal. Where are you located? I have an expired lease (now on a 6 month extension until Feb 2025) on a 22 MDX Advance with a $35,400 Buyout by Feb. Only 22.5K miles on the clock by that time. I'm wrestling with either buying it or leasing a new 25 MDX (A-Spec Advance or a Type S) or delving into the new 25 CX-70 Premium Plus Turbo S model. I have been "trolling" the Mazda forums for more info. There seems to be some considerable "teething" issues that are posted primarily with the PHEV model, which gives me some hesitancy. The other consideration I have is that the new 25 MDX has introduced a new InfoT. Touch screen system. IMO, that will be a very well received and will cut the value of my eralier model with the awful TTIP. ???? FWIW< my 22 MDX has beeen trouble free for over 3 years.

Of the more than a dozen YT reviews of my new vehicle, the CX-70, yours is the best, man. You didn’t criticize the display interface for ONLY supporting a touchscreen when in Android Auto/Apple CarPlay (conscious safety decision Mazda made). You didn’t question marketing a mildly modified (2-row) version of a CX-90 as an all-new model, the CX-70. If anybody’s actually paying attention to your content they’ll get that as good as some aspects of the Lexus RX lineup are, as well as updates to Acura MDX, the real vehicle value shocker here is Mazda’s latest creation. Get over obsession with particular brand names and see things for what they truly are, and not just the way teams of marketers would have you *believe* that they are!
@@DeeEllEff, you are correct, the premium Mazda offers the best quality/price ratio (value for money) the conscious financial freedom seekers are looking for. I agree wholeheartedly. I have the CX70 PHEV so, of course, I'm being notified of everything CX70 related. This review is by far the best. After watching it, I know I made the right choice for my pockets and for what I wanted: a sporty luxury SUV with more features for less money. I don't notice the extra bumps as much that I feel because the ride is still nice and I get the sporty car I wanted. I'm definitely resharing this comparison.
@@codincoman9019 Maybe so, maybe so. But I can’t abide the eCVT & eAWD technology (shortcuts, I’d say). $67K is a lot to pay for a 1-speed transmission and a cheap all-wheel drive system. I’ll go with 8 speeds and rear-biased AWD for $13K-$15K less. But that’s just me.
@@EatTheCake33x For a vehicle with heavy Lithium EV batteries, the giant 21” alloy wheels and 275/45 A/S tires help control body roll amazingly well. You may be able to tell: I used to review cars in print myself, back in the day. And of course, I applaud your choice!
RE: In terms of expectations, you place the Lexus first, Acura a close second and Mazda third in reliability and longevity. But the problem with that is that the expected reliability of Toyota & Lexus, along with Honda/Acura, have decreased since 2022, but expected durability/reliability of the Mazda brand has increased over that same time. Look it up.
We bought a Subaru Accent at the end of 2023. 8000 thousand miles later it was totaled by a driver on their cell phone. Other than the terrible gas mileage, we liked the Subaru and was ready to buy another. While looking for a new car we ran across the Mazda CX-70. WOW what a difference. This car runs great and has loads of power. At 300 miles it is already getting 21 MPG and climbing. A very well designed and thought out car not to mention its looks beautiful.
Another informative video brilliantly put together. I really want to see more of these comparisons focusing luxury brands with reliability. I wonder how CX70 made it on list of luxury cars. But looking at the features, it does qualify for a luxury vehicle. And with the price range of a mainstream vehicle, good job Mazda 👏🏼. I am waiting for the Cx5 hybrid review. Keep up the good work Shari.
@@bilalbasit While I agree that the premium Mazda offers the best quality/price ratio (value for money) for the financial freedom seekers, it is not at all a luxury brand (luxury goes beyond features and materials) - and Mazda doesn't intend to go there, as they are in the sweet spot between the upper mass-market Toyota and the entry luxury Lexus, being close to Lexus regarding the materials and the refinement and yet with an excellent pricing strategy (close to Toyota pricing, usually less the additional markups some stealerships are taking over the MSRP). Marketing does make sense when it is done very well, like in Mazda's case 😉
@@essaro1653 I agree with you: for all those seeking/maintaining their financial freedom, the premium Mazda offers an excellent quality/price ratio (value for money) and it is clearly their best choice (as it was my Miata ND2 - the best choice for me in the cabrio/convertibles segment). Still, Lexus offers the entry luxury some are looking for, interwined with their famous hybrid reliability and low TCO (Total Cost of Ownership), making it easily the best choice for an entry luxury brand.
I owned an Acura for years that I put 212,000 miles on and in that time other than having 2 transmissions fail on me it was reliable. Wife owned a Lexus for 5 years during which the drivers seat cushion collapsed, rear view mirror auto dimming failed, water pump failed, and drove like a Toyota nothing made us feel like we were driving a luxury car. Next bought a Mazda CX-9 because the MDX was too small and was significantly more $, owned that for 10 years not one thing wrong with, drove amazing but mpg was 17. I recently bought a Q7 when I looked at MDX, MDX was more money, smaller interior space and I hated the center console layout. Have owned it for 2 years so far an amazing vehicle.
Lexus (entry, discreet luxury) clearly wins for those seeking the luxurious side of the top Japanese (especially hybrid) reliability. But the premium Mazda is very, very good too (no surprise for its fans), its quality/price ratio (value for money) attracting financial freedom seekers too. Acura is a shadow of what it used to be, but still good, benefitting from Honda tech, with premium to entry luxury materials. More attention from Honda is required on the luxury quality, otherwise Acura may take Infiniti path. Still, I would choose Acura instead of the corresponding Honda.
The Mazda is pretty but the newer engine concerns me as it isn’t battle tested. Additionally, not a fan of the track wheel (is that what it’s called?) Would prefer a touch screen which isn’t dependent on Apple car play. Bummed because I do like the price but for me, these just might deal breakers. Leaning towards the Acura MDX S type. Love the air suspension and performance. Thanks for this informative video!
Great battle of the Topguns 👍 I hate to say it folks, but the Mazda CX-70 hybrid beats the former Topgun the Lexus RX and easily destroys the old, dated Acura MDX. This is the first time I’ve awarded a Mazda over a Toyota or Honda product. #1 - Mazda CX-70 9/10 #2 - Lexus RX. 8.5/10 #3 - Acura MDX 6.5/10 We have a new champion, congratulations Mazda! #1 A side note- Most of these luxury SUVs are bought by empty nester baby boomers who don’t need massive storage and seating for 7. Better choices are: 1) Lexus NX 350H 2) Honda CRV Hybrid Touring
@@Mathguy363 Yes that is the least desirable of all the NX350 series. The NX350H is much quieter and smoother along with considerably better fuel efficiency. It’s also the model choice Shari and I both recommend.
I ruled out the RX because IMO, like Toyotas, Lexus cars and SUVs are boring. I ruled out the MDX because the gas mileage is terrible. I drove a BMW X5 and liked it a lot. But, at $68k, the X5 doesn't have real leather seats or a head-up display, and has an MSRP that's about $14k more than the MSRP of a Turbo S Premium CX-70 which has just about every imaginable feature and a 340 horsepower, turbo in-line 6, mild hybrid engine which gets surprisingly good gas mileage. Also, the CX-70 is fun to drive. So, I decided to take a chance on the all new (too new?) CX-70. Three months and 3,000 miles later, I'm still glad that I did.
@@JaketheSnake-lz1pq Grey might have been the wiser choice, especially since it's a great grey. This is my first black car. MDX type S: Great handling and suspension. Wonderful sound system. Massage seats are now something I want. Engine and transmission are disappointing unless really pressing on the acceleration. Only 21mpg on the highway.
LEXUS has poor rating in crash tests. Rx has always fallen short in safety ratings. Considering number 1 cause of death is car crashes people should pay attention to safety ratings, but they don't.
I’ve been shopping for a new car and have spent time is the Mazda, the Acura, then looking at used Lexus GX460s. The Mazda interior is mostly high quality and looks great. But disagree the Acura is the “least luxurious feeling”. Yes there is a lot of piano black plastic but it feels solid and thick when tapped. The door and center console trim that looks like wood on the Mazda feels cheap and brittle when you tap you fingers on it. Also, so much flex in the headliner when closing the sunglasses holder. Not deal breakers but it was built to a budget. The MdX feels like a tank inside. The Mazda exterior panel fit was definitely the winner between the two. Acura is really good but the Mazda exterior is really assembled well. Almost GX460 well
My choice would be the Lexus, because I've always wanted a Lexus 😂. I just bought a new to me 2021 highlander hybrid AWD Limited, with just 30k miles on it. So it'll be a while before I get my Lexus, if ever.
I trust the Acura more than the others at the moment. That bulletproof V6 is great. The other two cars have relatively new turbo engines that I don't see lasting longer than the V6.
I was very interested in the cx 70 but after watching a thorough mechanical reciew by the car care nut reviews, I saw how rigged the transmission setup with the engine that I did not like. Way over - complicated manual transmission with a manual clutch converted into an automatic transmission which can actually disengage while at highway speeds. This is experimental trouble waiting to happen. I try to keep my vehicles in top condition and for as long as I can. I anticipate major problems with the Mazda's transmission and the Lexus 4 cylinder junk. Drive a 2022 rx with the v6 and you won't settle for less. I'm not happy with the fuel mileage of the mdx, but I buy a car to use it, for hauling people and many things to airports, football tailgates, school events, going to dinner and a show with family and friends, you name it, and after having nearly every major brand throughout our family including bmw and benz, ford, g.m. and chrysler, our most confidence came from hondas and toyotas. It is also very important to think about resale value if you buy it. The German vehicles fall off the charts after 5 years.
I will say Mazda it’s an underdog and very less chances of being stolen as compared to to Lexus and Acura where Lexus RX is highly stolen vehicle across North America and second insurance + Rate of interest is better for Mazda.
The MDX uses Variable Cylinder Management (VCM) to deactivate back 3 cylinders, timing belt and GDI only,. Mazda also uses GDI only. Lexus has both port and GDI.
The Lexus has a 2.4liter 4 cyl turbo ( not the reliable 2.5 liter) and the troublesome 8speed transmission. Probably any of those cars you don't want to own after the warranty is up.

I own two 9 year old n55 engined BMWs and literally no issues not a leak on sight. Don’t buy a bmw if you’re going to defer maintenance, or if it’s had deferred maintenance. That’s the key. 🔑
Define “luxury” bro.. because while we have a blurry market in the U.S., that doesn’t change Mazda’s heritage and portfolio. They modestly prefer to be called premium sports vehicles as it is, not “luxury” because luxury is nuanced. Your BMW in Europe is not always perceived as “luxury” because luxury really means ultra luxury vehicles over there like RR and Bentley. I’ve always known Mazda to be a premium brand because I focus on their entire history, not their hardships in the U.S. with Ford
I said Mazda as a whole has a good reputation for reliability. As for the powertrain specifically, I only addressed the reliability of the PHEV because Mazda has been using the 2.5L 4-cylinder for over 10 years.
Isn’t Mazda the one with the clunky transmission? Once they improve on that you can certainly make the comparison but overall I think Genesis GV80 is a better comparison to Lexus. Acura MDX Type S is definitely a better comparison to the GV 80. Lexus is not competing as a Performance vehicle
CX-70 takes the cake unless you want maximum luxury, then the MDX win. The Lexus win at nothing. The Lexus looks like a Toyota. The MDX is the best looking one on the outside, the Mazda is the best looking one on the inside. Quite honestly, the Mazda CX-70 PHEV is the best deal. I own an MDX, I love it, but the Mazda CX-70 is a close second choice, only thing I didn't like about the hybrid is it shifts gears in electric mode....weird.
Before getting any of those, just go and test drive and compare the space and all the features with Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy and you’ll be surprised how much better it is than any of these three.
Obviously, you have no idea what the current automotive market is like. Mazda has begun transitioning into a luxury brand starting with the cx90. You can tell it from its exteriors, interiors and prices.
Have you been living under a rock for the past 20 years? Mazda is better at being a luxury brands than both of them.. its heritage is NOT synonymous with being economically driven. Mazda’s entire history was about premium sports vehicles of every type. Look into it.. you’re a non-car guy who’s focused on Mazda’s hardships in the U.S. with Ford where they spent some time selling cheaper city cars. How much does the guy know about cars or mechanics? How a hybrid system more reliable than non hybrid? It shuts off the engine on and off. The stress to the engine is not great. V6 is better than turbo 4 on reliability. Just because it is Lexus doesn't mean it will be reliable
I wouldn’t buy either but if I had to, I definitely would buy a Mazda CX-70, the Acura RDX known as a Rubbish Acura with break system failure and infotainment failure and especially with V6 Cylinder deactivation system failure and transmission issues, and Lexus Are Very reliable that will breakdown frequently and ultra money pit than my Cadillac 😂, turbocharged fault and overheating engine, transmission issues, too small and too slow vehicle, and the quality interior is crap, but with a Mazda I can this I way more reliable than Toyota itself, with a Straight 6 cylinder it’s fantastic engine and fun to drive
I went from a 2017 regular V6 to a 2023 hybrid and even though the V6 feels better when driving hands down, I haven't had any issue with th hybrid, mind you I've only had it for a year but Toyota has been doing hybrids for 20+ years and it shouldn't have an issue.
Another none informative video without facts and in-depth objective comparison. We are fighting for good over all none good. Even word bad is lost it’s actuality over this vanity but at the same time Lexus which is smooth and most reliable has issue with its engine and zillion of recalls include v6. It’s true that Lexus can offer ventilated seats on the second row but only Acura has air suspension… it’s very very surface based..

@@Mathguy363 while I respect your opinion and sharing your view of the brand, you did ask one question in the end that I want to respectfully answer. While Mazda has made plenty of city cars that come close to the economically driven brands you mentioned, look at the Integra, CT200h, and all the entry models we have from Europe, like the 1 series, A1 line, and the A class. The prices in which Mazda displayed previous city models in America were merely displayed as cheaper alternatives to the brand itself, not to fully go after the Toyota and Hondas. I understand this has blurred the lines and Mazda has had a confusing and inconsistent track, but their intentions have always been there. You don’t compare a Mazda 3 to a Toyota Corolla because it’s a different experience all around. Not only are the prices generally supposed to be higher, at Mazda, you won’t have dealer sharks trying to “get you a good deal,” you won’t have much advertising to get you there, you’ll be driven around on a golf cart at the lot, they will throw in free accessories for pride, and you’ll be served a freakin cappuccino or Mazda branded Voss water while you wait lol. These aren’t necessarily gimmicks or a try-hard mentality, it just speaks to Mazda’s nature. You go in to your first service and the basics are titled “Mazda recommend packages,” likely a $175-189 transaction. In contrast, a Corolla is serviced at a Jiffy lube for $50 because it’s such a popular and easy to work on car. You fill your car up with gas in a 3 and you get stares and compliments. You drive spiritedly, seamlessly with the road. You maintain high autobahn speeds and stay planted. You are prompted with Mazda heritage, design and engineering precision, and motor sports pedigree achievements/promotions online by reviewers and the fan base. You have people see the logo on your car and say “ohh, those are those little cars with nice interiors and great performance..” Sorry for the long reply, but I’m passionate about automotive prowess and underdog brands. People still have views towards Volvo in my experience as analogy, because they remember the more economically driven models they had a while back. Hardships imo don’t erase a brand’s history or market position, it just makes them more unique and attractive.
@@christianbryant5617 Holy that was an essay! I agree with you Mazda is a great brand, you get a great car for a super cheap price. To address the point of comparing it to the ct200h, integra, a-class, 1 series, and the a1, those were all cars made to compete with economical brands ( and generally don’t sell many of them). All of those cars listed are already a lot more expensive than a Mazda3, and they weren’t successful because it’s an entirely different target demographic. It’s great to hear Mazda gives great service, I own a Lexus and it’s pretty much on par with all of the perks they throw in as well. I know a lot of people with Mazdas, and my friends dad had a dealership growing up (when they weren’t great 20+ years ago). It’s just to me the driving experience is nowhere near the premium brands. The handling is good but doesn’t compare to a BMW for example and are missing on the road feel while the suspension doesn’t compare to a Lexus and is nothing special performance wise. You can’t really get to autobahn speed in a Mazda 3, I’ve seen people go well over 300km/h, you can’t do that with a Mazda. I’m surprised you mentioned their history because Mercedes created the first car, BMW and Porsche has got an extensive racing history, and Audi has got the rally history. Mazda doesn’t even have a high performance model… they make good cars but like a Toyota Corolla or Honda civic, they don’t make you feel anything when seeing one or driving one, they just feel bland. In the end, people have different considerations when buying a car, but you don’t buy a Mazda because of the performance or luxury features, you get it because it’s the best bang for your buck
Then we can say Audis, Bentelys, Bugattis, Lambos, Porsche are all expensive Volkswagens smh. Honda and Toyota are the KINGS of reliability and build GREAT luxury cars/SUVS . Mazda is a MAINSTREAM brans MASQUERADING as a premium luxury nameplate. I will NEVER see MAZDA as a premium nor luxury.

A laughable digital gauge cluster that is now better in 2025, stupid touchpad on steering on high trims where you have to look at your hud for cruise control setup and overall generally low tech. The 450h+ and 500h are over 90k in canada…. Nope. The acura’s engine still use a timing belt and although part of me likes the design the other part thinks its dated. Mazda looks ok if you don’t care about luxury car but not for me. I encourage people to consider a BMW X5 if they love tech and need towing capacity, but consider slightly used as you save on steep depreciation, but what a machine. The X5 is rated no 1 on CR.

@@mikeparodi I know! When I tell people I leased it from Mazda FS (with the intention to buy it at the end of the term), they can hardly believe that I got $14,850 off the suggested retail price ($56K->$41K) in total incentives and Mazda rebates!
14 months and 18 thousand miles later still enjoying my CX90 PHEV as well. Yes, there were some teething issues, but most were software tweaks.

I tried many SUVs and ended up purchasing the Acura MDX since it was the best driving experience (IMO), incredibly fun to drive!
Great video. I'm tempted to go for the CX-70
I can recommend it highly! Plus, the in-house financing provided me with rebates and incentives totaling $14,350 off of MSRP.
Enjoying my Mazda!
Great comparison, love your channel and love how you bring facts to the video keep up the good work.
I’d probably take the Mazda simply because of the price and it looks great
Thank you!
I am not going back to the church until the pastor has a word
Still, for those looking for the entry luxury intertwined with the hybrid reliability and a surprisingly low (TCO Total Cost of Ownership), Lexus is the best choice for an entry luxury brand.
Thank you! And very well said!
Thank you! The Mazda CX-50 Hybrid review should be out in early November.
Mazda's the winner as per host And our host always done his homework well
@@essaro1653 I agree with you: for all those seeking/maintaining their financial freedom, the premium Mazda offers an excellent quality/price ratio (value for money) and it is clearly their best choice (as it was my Miata ND2 - the best choice for me in the cabrio/convertibles segment).
Still, Lexus offers the entry luxury some are looking for, interwined with their famous hybrid reliability and low TCO (Total Cost of Ownership), making it easily the best choice for an entry luxury brand.
Mazda all the way ❤❤❤❤❤
We've been considering a BMW X5. Watching reviews on the Mazda CX70, and it seems promising. Have to drive them for ourselves first.
CX70 PHEV wins for me (if I ever needed such a big SUV).
@@msk3905 I hope your Q7 will last - good luck!
Lexus service centers have way better than any other luxury or non-luxury car manufacturer experience
Oh yeah? What's shop rate at lex and mazda??😂😂😂😂
I have 2024 rx350 f sport handling awd and its super comfortable. I owned 2020 bmw 540i xdrive before this and i prefer rx over 540
The Mazda is pretty but the newer engine concerns me as it isn’t battle tested.
Great battle of the Topguns 👍
I hate to say it folks, but the Mazda CX-70 hybrid beats the former Topgun the Lexus RX and easily destroys the old, dated Acura MDX. This is the first time I’ve awarded a Mazda over a Toyota or Honda product.
#1 - Mazda CX-70 9/10
#2 - Lexus RX. 8.5/10
#3 - Acura MDX 6.5/10
We have a new champion, congratulations Mazda! #1
A side note- Most of these luxury SUVs are bought by empty nester baby boomers who don’t need massive storage and seating for 7. Better choices are:
1) Lexus NX 350H
2) Honda CRV Hybrid Touring
@@Mathguy363
350h?
Stop/Stop is annoying on all vehicles and can be deactivated.
@@Mathguy363
Yes that is the least desirable of all the NX350 series.
The cx70 is underrated. I got one 4 month ago and couldn't be happier what color did you get
@JaketheSnake-lz1pq Mine is black with red interior. Everyone who see it comments on the interior color.

I recently learned about the step under the rear seat for stepping up and getting access to something on the roof. And I've learned that the rear door opening is so wide and rear doors open so wide that I can put a pet ramp on the back seat.
@@GaryMcGuirk-q8q your right black looks nice when clean I live in Pennsylvania and In the winter months they put down so much salt that you can't keep a dark color clean i like the red and no one seem to have a cooper but I wanted red interior and I think the black and gray look the best with that
MDX type S: Great handling and suspension.
Mazda for sure! 👍 Save that $20K 😅and there’s a 5 years warranty anyway.
Almost GX460 well
Any of the three will be good. I guess it will be the exterior look that is really a subjective matter.
Lexus is Toyota's high end, Accura is Honda's but Mazda is just Mazda. As a self driver person, mazda truly is a great choice in all series they have
You never mentioned the mild hybrid system in the Mazda six cylinder.
My choice would be the Lexus, because I've always wanted a Lexus 😂. I just bought a new to me 2021 highlander hybrid AWD Limited, with just 30k miles on it. So it'll be a while before I get my Lexus, if ever.
Acura mdx wins
personally found the CX70 seats very uncomfortable, and had a horrible dealership experience.
Stiff and uncomfortable
Same! And more cabin noise than the Lexus
The PHEV gives you better performance actually, just heavier so not as good handling.
Lexus is the clear winner here for sure
I trust the Acura more than the others at the moment. That bulletproof V6 is great. The other two cars have relatively new turbo engines that I don't see lasting longer than the V6.
Belt timing chain!!!
Their 6 speed wasn't very different, also a unique design that has proven itself, I'd trust mazda over the likes of VW, GM, or Hyundai any day.
Lexus hands down. No questions. I keep my car for a long time. There is no doubt about Lexus is my choice
Mazda all the way, reliable & powerful
Test drive CX90 and RX 350H and the RX had way less cabin noise and much more comfortable seats.
I will say Mazda it’s an underdog and very less chances of being stolen as compared to to Lexus and Acura where Lexus RX is highly stolen vehicle across North America and second insurance + Rate of interest is better for Mazda.
Lexus for win rx 500h more power 🐎 💪 more torque 💪 and better fuel efficiency.
Lexus, clear winner
The MDX uses Variable Cylinder Management (VCM) to deactivate back 3 cylinders, timing belt and GDI only,. Mazda also uses GDI only. Lexus has both port and GDI.
The Lexus has a 2.4liter 4 cyl turbo ( not the reliable 2.5 liter) and the troublesome 8speed transmission.

Mazda is premium at best, not luxury.
Also, as much as I love Lexus. They are just boring. Omg like sooooo boring. 😴
I’ll take my chances with my BMWs love em and the reliability has gotten amazing over the past 8 years.
I’ve always known Mazda to be a premium brand because I focus on their entire history, not their hardships in the U.S. with Ford
The updated RX failed the moderate front overlap crash test
How can you even say a cx-70 is reliable. Its powertrain is only 2 years old
I said Mazda as a whole has a good reputation for reliability.

If that is the priority just by a Kia Carnival
Not if you want a fun to drive vehicle. Also, dealers mark up Palisades (and Tellurides) horribly.
My 2014 MDX still drives like new.
Mazda = Luxury ? Mazda in comparison with Acura & Lexus. How come. Lexus and Acura are different league.
Mazda has been around since the 1900’s and Acura and Lexus? What? The late 80’s in attempt to rival the Germans and Americans? At least Mazda is more of a real deal
You have people see the logo on your car and say “ohh, those are those little cars with nice interiors and great performance..”
Sorry for the long reply, but I’m passionate about automotive prowess and underdog brands.
Mazda wins by a mile! Lexus are just over priced Toyotas and Acuras are over priced Hondas!
That why both brands are Great . That why you are on the sideline because of your DNA 🧬
….and the CX70 would have been an Amati if Mazda didn’t pull the plug on the prospective brand some 30 years.

I encourage people to consider a BMW X5 if they love tech and need towing capacity, but consider slightly used as you save on steep depreciation, but what a machine. The X5 is rated no 1 on CR.
Great SUV for sure, especially if you get a lightly used CPO at a steep discount.
@@carhelpcorner exactly what i got saved quite a bundle.
No body wants a x5 … it’s just a bmw😮 stick to the topic
@@jessiewright1975 perhaps you won’t. Were talking suv isn’t that the topic
Mdx is the clear winner that funking lexus is ugly man
But it’s based from a freaking Honda.. The Mazda is sculpted with clay from the ground up in Hiroshima and has the most sophisticated engine and handling. The Acura really only focuses on luxurious touches
You're right, that Lexus is ugly!
@@christianbryant5617 Honda/Acura are far more reputable over the MAINSTREAM "luxury" wanna be MAZDA brand. Mazda is in the Ford tier NOT luxury smh.
@@PsychicMedium4747 LOLLL.. if anyone is a wannabe luxury brand, it’s the luxury *divisions that are based from mainstream brands, not a standalone premium product like Mazda. While I like Lexus, Acura, and INFINITI, it’s certain that Mazda has the advantage in terms of precision heritage and respect. And Ford? You realize that your last point is irrelevant simply because Ford is above Honda as it is, right? How could you compare? Honda makes mainstream, economical vehicles for a different market. Ford makes much pricier and specialized vehicles, 4WD trucks, performance rockets, city cars, and mid to full size premium SUVs.
@@christianbryant5617 lmfao having a separate luxury division is not reductive . Mazda is an ersatz premium brand. They try so hard to be something they are NOT. Lexus and Acura have solid reputation for years as reliable luxury name plates with superior resale value . Mazda competes with reductive brands such as ford, Chevy etc stay in your lane. Your Lilliputian opinion has no clout over the masses of people that buy Acura and Lexus. Also, the countless consumer reports that use Lexus and Acura as paragon brands. Unreliable German brands and cheap ford, Chevy, brands have no business breathing the same air as Lexus and Acura . No, if you don’t mind .. take your little reductive Mazda brand to Chucky Cheese because I am busy lmfao 🤣.
Chevy Traverse or Buick Enclave
MAZDA IS NOT LUXURY
It is not, but its PREMIUM positioning is closest to entry luxury. So Mazda is pretty good to compare with Lexus (entry luxury) and especially with Acura (entry luxury too, but below Lexus, with lower quality materials, far closer to the premium materials of Mazda).
Stop spreading misinformation, do some research about car brands and their history, and then mommy’s phone back in her purse for the day you slow one. If you think Acura and Lexus can even touch Mazda’s portfolio, heritage, performance and design philosophies, then you must not even know what a car is.
@@star9732 don’t forget the unique heritage and rich history that makes a luxury or premium brand, luxurious or premium. You have to work and earn that brand perception and title often for generations and generations in order to get any kind of respect in this market category. Mazda has certainly inserted itself as such after generations of innovation, contributions to the automotive industry, pedigrees, unique portfolio, and original precision technology, engineering and design philosophies. That is how I define luxury
Mazda doesn’t belong to these group of cars!…
You obviously know nothing about cars or the heritage of any car brand.. you’re probably 12 years old too
Please....do not place Mazda in the same tier as Lexus and Acura...it is insulting. Mazda is equivalent to a Ford. It has NO business being compared to a beautiful Acura or Lexus...stay in your reductive lane where you belong!
For your information Mazda is better than both of them. It made on a better platform with Inline 6 engine rwd bias nearly 50 50 weight balance. Plus it has a higher top speed
@@JaketheSnake-lz1pq lol who cares about higher top speed unless you are criminal fleeing the cops abs a reckless driver. Mazda is a died competitor NOT Acura.
@@JaketheSnake-lz1pq you have no subscribers … go figure lol 😂
@@JaketheSnake-lz1pq LOL...top speed? It is called reckless driving UNLESS you plan on breaking the law. Secondly, you have no subscribers and your handle speaks volumes. @@PsychicMedium4747the higher the top speed on a car the better the vehicle is designed and built you no nothing about vehicles that is why German vehicles try to get the highest speed they can to make better cars
Your video seems biased for Mazda intentionally.
Reliablity should not be a luxury thats the sad truth. Japanese need to up their game. They can't compete with the germans sadly.
Wrong.
Mazda actually isn’t even a “reliable alternative” as it is. That’s not their focus. They focus mostly on engineering and craftsmanship. Lexus and Acura on the other hand were created not too long ago for the sole purpose of being the reliable alternatives that are cheap to own
Lexus/Toyota all day
Mazda is premium at best, not luxury.
Also, as much as I love Lexus. They are just boring. Omg like sooooo boring. 😴
I’ll take my chances with my BMWs love em and the reliability has gotten amazing over the past 8 years. I own two 9 year old n55 engined BMWs and literally no issues not a leak on sight.
Don’t buy a bmw if you’re going to defer maintenance, or if it’s had deferred maintenance. That’s the key. 🔑
