    Hi Carson! 👋
    I just found you and I must say your skin looks amazing! I've been getting into skin care for about 1 year now but I'm still quite confused with the steps for a routine.
    Would you mind making an AM and PM routine from this products you've mentioned?🙏

      Hi Dora! I'm so glad you're here and thank you for your suggestions, those are great ideas for videos.
      What I can tell you right now is that there are some fantastic and reliable channels that go in-depth on AM versus PM routines. I recommend @hyram @mixedmakeup @labmuffinbeautyscience and @liahyoo as a start!
      My go-to steps are:
      AM
      Rinse with water
      essence
      hydrating serum/brightening serum
      moisturizer
      SPF
      PM
      oil cleanser
      water/gel cleanser
      essence
      serum
      moisturizer
      In general, it's best to go from thinnest to thickest in terms of a formula's consistency (an essence is thin like water, a serum is a bit thicker, and a moisturizer is the thickest, etc). I also have a Korean skincare routine video on my channel which shows you my steps!
      I hope this is helpful

    Hi there! I am new to your channel but already loving it! I have recently discovered products that helped me clear out and help with barrier after some breakout/irritation period that I had. It is the Pure Heals Centella 90 Ampoule followed by Centella 90 cream - both fantastic! I still need to try and use the mask but I will do that on the weekend

      Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here. Great recs. The pyunkang yul is honestly beautiful. An even lighter moisturizer I really like is the iunik beta glucan moisturizer, linked here: amzn.to/3kqzuxQ
      I hope you enjoy it! Thanks again ✨

    Ooh, the Typology cleanser looks intriguing. Love that it doesn’t have any essential oils. Does it emulsify with water and remove makeup/sunscreen thoroughly?

    • @commedecarson
      @commedecarson  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It'll emulsify and help break everything down, but just like any other cleansing oil, nothing will fully be removed until you wash with a second cleanser! I am SUPER clean when I use this or any cleansing oils I mentioned!

    Wonderful recs! Another option for an unscented body butter with no dimethicone or fragrance is Organic Bath co’s Drenched Body Butter in naked. It’s made only of shea butter and oils.
    I love Kari Grann-she has a new tinted spf I want to try, too.
    Your skin looks fantastic! ❤️❤️❤️

      @commedecarson  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you Joanna! I'll have to check that out. Always looking for a great body lotion. They sent me over the SPF and it's nice it just separates A LOT and you have to shake it vigorously. I also wish it were a higher SPF.

    • @jojobeth
      @jojobeth 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’m glad to have discovered them-Organic Bath Co is a black-owned small business with lots of great products. Good to know about KG! I’ll likely skip it. You’re right-the spf is too low and there are so many amazing ones now.

      Ps. that Allafia lotion is good for the hair too, I use it on 2nd and 3rd day hair to moisturise and tame the flyaways.

    Hey Carson, I am wondering if you have any new skin care products (a cleanser and glowy moisturizer) that you would recommend or if any of these are still holy grails? Would really appreciate the help

    Okie last Q lol: do you have a link for a hair care video??

    • @commedecarson
      @commedecarson  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I actually don't have one, but I'm working on it. What I'm using right now is the new Briogeo frag-free shampoo, which I like a lot (bit.ly/2YFh0AR) and shea moisture's castor oil conditioner, it smells amazing and is ultra nourishing (bit.ly/34FOwuo). I have 2b/2c wavy hair, normal scalp. But my scalp can get oily or clogged up with product if I use the wrong stuff. I've been able to wash everyday with these products, or even wash ever 2-3 days no problem! I hope this helps ✨

      Carson Stern thank you ! Looking forward to that video 🙏 I’m also really interested in sustainable packaging for things like this, as discussion or suggestions if that helps for a video idea at some point lol

      Handsome Voila I’ve been deeply researching sustainability in packaging and the beauty industry. It’s a lot to cover and I’m definitely no expert but I’d love to do a CBN special report 👀✨

    Why no Dimethicone? I have been suspicious that this is breaking me out but everthing says its ok???

    • @commedecarson
      @commedecarson  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Everyone is so different with how their face reacts to everything! Here is an article I read about dimethicone that led me to just decide to stay clear of it and be safe rather than sorry. I don’t mind it in my makeup or sunscreen, but I keep it out of my skincare. theskincareedit.com/tag/dimethicone

      Carson Stern same goes to me. My face can’t tolerate silicones even the water silicon such as bis-PEG-18 Methyl Ether Dimethyl Silane. So i stay away from silicone products
