Every blow dryer brush company should definitely have you as their spokesperson along with this video. It was so thoroughly informative as you took your time explaining to us the correct way to use the brush. I always wondered what I was doing wrong, I was drying my hair too much with the blow dryer, not rotating the brush enough. and not using smaller sections. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Thank you so much for this Gabi! My hair looks like yours when I dry it naturally only I have fine hair and a lot of it. It used to be a lot curlier but now that I have gray on the top, the top does something totally different now than what’s underneath I’m gonna give this a try and see if I can’t nail it.

This is THE BEST tutorial for drying hair and getting volume I’ve ever seen. You explained everything at a tempo that was methodical, easy to follow, and showed us how to do it on our own heads. Most TH-cam stylists demo on a manikin or a model which does not help the person who actually has to style the hair on her own head. So thank you!

Thank you so much for such a helpful tutorial. I think this will change the way I dry my hair every day.

Everyone says section your hair but no one tells you what to do and how to angle your brush after. Thank you!! I enjoyed this thoroughly.

Thank you so very much.

I have this tool and have not had much success with it. However since viewing this video I am going to give it another try. You have been so helpful to help me understand how to use it plus waiting first to blow dry my hair until at least 50% dry. I was going in straight in from towel drying and had a mess. Had to grab my blow drying and finish with a regular round brush. Thanks for the help.

Ok, I was skeptical at first. But I followed your tips, and I FINALLY am able to reproduce what my stylist does! Usually I look great for the first 3 days and then back to my unglossy, unlisted “normal”. The root lifter, the application of volumizer to the mid and ends, and the Mohawk (genius) took it next level. I can’t thank you enough!

Hi Gabi, This popped up when I was looking for best ways to use a round brush. Thank you ever so much for explaining everything so carefully. The one thing I took away from your post is I was not holding the brush long enough until the hair was completely dry. I was taking the brush away too quickly and was left with the frizz. Thanks again from Jenn Vancouver, Canada.

Finally pulled it out a couple of days ago following your tips including the Mohawk styling with rollers and my gosh I’ve never had my hair look so good! I was flipping my hair to the left and right and the volume lasted 3 days!! 💕

omg gabi! you have changed my life!!! i am 80 and have a kind of aline bob (pure white) that i've never been able to manage very well between salon visits with only two hands. this blow dryer round brush combination (that i didn;t know existed) is brilliant and makes my two hands enough. and i have always used smootherizing products but this volumizing idea (with the brush that still straightens) is the winner and i never would have thought of it. i have exactly your texture hair and fineness and about the same length and even on this first try i look like i just walked out of the salon (if i do say so myself). a million thanks for such a detailed (but exactly the right amount) video. you are ny hair hero!!!!

I love these brushes. I got so tired of holding a separate brush with a blowdryer, killed my hands. And as you have pointed out in other videos they are not all created equal. I got one on Amazon and it worked fine, but then I got another one with interchangeable round and flat brushes, and the round brush on that one most definitely gets my hair smoother than the old model. I waited so many years for a tool like this, similar to how in the we didn't have flat irons until 1995/96 (I was so sick of having to do roller sets). The brushes we had before the 2010 were small and less effective 🙂

Best, most informative video I've ever seen on hair styling. Exactly addressed all my drying issues. Tried a blow out brush & couldn't believe how fast it dried & styled my hair but am so glad for this video as I dried hair while still wet & could easily destroy my already damaged hair. In my 70s totally gone gun metal grey over covid plus become very fine, must look to my diet. Question please, Revlon has just released a volumizer with the standard plus a small 64cm barrel. My hair is about your length & style, am thinking the slightly smaller barrel would be even better as they say it can be used close to the roots of the hair. Plus it now has an added Cool setting. Thoughts please?

Excellent tutorial. I have the same texture as yours, Gabi. And I bought the TYMO. When I take the time to section my hair, I get amazing results. But, I am impatient and just blow with my regular dryer with my head upside down and let it do its thing, accepting whatever happens, then tame it with a curling iron. It’s “fine” but need to realize great results are an investment in time and practice.

    • @GlamGirlGabi
      @GlamGirlGabi  ปีที่แล้ว

Hey!! Yes you’re right. Great results require time unfortunately. But the benefit to doing it slowly and properly is that you don’t have to do it as often because it will last a couple of days!

This is the first video I've watched on your channel and I'm very glad I found you. I live in SC, which is extremely humid, and your video has helped me tremendously! I am 65 y/o and just had my waist-length silver hair cut into a lightly layered bob and definitely needed guidance with the best way to use my dryer brush. I also want to say thank you for being "real." Your make-up is beautifully done and not over-the-top and you talk to us like you're in the room with us. So, again I say thank you and I'm going to go watch your "how to wave a bob" video!

I have wavy (not quite curly) frizzy hair. I found the blowout brush a while ago and fell in love with it. I recently tossed my old one as it was getting way too hot. I ordered a Lange one, and am not sure how much I love it yet. This video is so helpful! Seems doable though I have thick, textured, long hair (2-3 inches past shoulder) that I have never been able blow dry. I have thick curly hair so I let it almost dry, and dry it Mohawk method, spraying each piece with Colorwow Dreamcoat. I put the Tymo Hot Air Brush on high for about 30 seconds and turn down to low, rolling the brush and pulling it taught to finish drying and smoothing and roll each piece on a brush roller and keep drying my whole head. This tool and Gaby has changed my life.

Thank you for this tutorial! I especially like that you didn't cut away while sectioning your hair. I have thin, fine, loosely wavy hair and I never learned to section it. I've gone in with so many things like alligator clips, these giant plastic clips, claw clips, elastics, bobby pins, etc., and I just couldn't seem to get enough hair inside whatever it was to get it to stay. But doing it the way you did in the center I think is a lot better than what I was trying to do from the side.
I've only used my blow dry brush like 2 or 3 times since I got it a few months ago because it just hadn't been working for me. I'm excited to try again now though :)! Question: if my hair is already dry, can I use a mister with water in it to get a little bit of moisture to use the blow dry brush? Or is it better to just wait until the next time after I wash my hair?

Hey Kathy! Thanks for your message! It all depends on the look you want to achieve and also how fine your hair actually is. If you go shoulder length and have strong baseline, a few layers can be really pretty. I had my hair like that recently with some long layers and I loved it. Hi Gabi! I really enjoy all of your videos, but I just wanted to say that those of us with thin, fine hair don't need to rough dry because our hair is already almost dry by the time we begin. I have to keep a spray water bottle handy just to keep some moisture in my hair as i blow dry. I don't know whether this is a blessing or a curse, but i believe the latter. Thanks!
