      OEM parts are the only way to go in my opinion. If I can help you save money on the labor, then hopefully it offsets the price of the parts which are much better quality in the end. Thanks for the kind words about the smalled details in the video. Subscribe and check out my other videos.

    Do you happen to know if the process is the same for a new model 300s 2016. I followed your steps but the sides of the bumper near the 10MM bolts after the bolts are removed there seems to still be a plastic clip holding the side of the bumper on. Do i just pull hard to remove this? I was nervous I was going to break something. Thanks, great videos!

    Great video, extremely helpful. I have one question: Are the chrome parts under the lights snap in like the chrome in the fog lights or are they also glued in?

    • @MotorCityMechanic
      @MotorCityMechanic  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Morning Bruce....the service info doesnt say anything about the install on those items. I looked up the part number and it looks to have fingers on the rear so I would say the strip below the headlamp snaps on. Hope this helps and thanks for the question. Make sure to subscribe!

    I got into a front end accident and now there is a noise when I steer. Is it the condenser, power steering pump, power steering tweaked. Accident was less then 10 mph the tow hitch did the most damage. It pushed the metal at 6:54 that goes across the frame into the condenser and now I don’t get cold air and the noise is always there.

    To gain access to replace the radiator, does the front bumper need to come off as well?

    • @MotorCityMechanic
      @MotorCityMechanic  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      You dont have to but it can help. The radiator comes out the engine compartment side but you still have to reach down infront of it to unbolt the a/c condenser. If the space is too tight then you can remove the bumper cover and then things would be alot easier. You have choices and I have videos for both of them which makes me wonder....have you seen my video on the radiator replacement? The video is for a different year model but the steps will be fairly close and give you a better understanding possibly. Make sure to subscribe! th-cam.com/video/AcEOVLdYUxQ/w-d-xo.html

    Is there a way you can move the Cruise control sensor ? Or just delete it?

    • @MotorCityMechanic
      @MotorCityMechanic  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Michael Flores The adaptive cruise control sensor/module is calibrated where it's located. Moving it will cause it to not function properly. In the end it's up to you......not sure what warning messages you would get on the cluster if you removed it.

    I own the 2013 300S 3.6L w/every option save the panoramic moonroof. I got her w/inoperative A/C& overheating engine. I fixed the A/C, unable2 condemn the coolant temp sensor or single fan as both passed my tests& there r no leaks. I decided 2flush the cooling system &found the drain valve plugged. The thermostat is new& main hoses r clear. I believe that some1 mixed coolants &the resulting gelatin clogged the radiator because the temp falls when I activate the heater. @234K miles she is powerful &solid w/a steady &high manifold vacuum @idle &no typical signs of head gasket damages. My questions:
    1. Is the front bumper cover removal required 4radiator r&r?
    2. Hv u ever heard of such incessant Pentastar overheating?
    3. Does my diagnosis sopund good 2u?
    BTW I'm removing the flush &flow testing the radiator w/air 2dy. I probably will remove the fan if she fails &both front door panels to replace a driver's armrest cover &a passenger front's window regulator. I subscribed 2dy& look 4ward 2your answers.

    will the 2017 Chrysler 300 front bumper cover fit in a 2014?

    • @MotorCityMechanic
      @MotorCityMechanic  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I am not 100% sure it will. On line it seems that they list it as 2011-2014 so there may be some differences.....might only be cosmetic and not cause any issues when mounting or something may be different as far as how it attaches in placed.

      🤣 I noticed that as well, pretty slick how he pushed the broken slot back up and concealed it with his fingers. If you start in the middle and bow up the piece it pulls the slotted end away from the outer clip.

    The thing NOT told by these videos is that "snapping the top" of the bumper off BREAKS the skip brackets completely off as you pull them
    There's no safe way to remove the bumper of these cars without chipping paint by sliding a bracket between the bumper and fender to push the clip back so it doesn't rip the bumper piece off.
    You c an even see the part he Rios off and breaks as it's removed.
    The top of the bumper cover will never sit properly again
