Here's my quick install of the GKA chassis and servo upgrades for my ARRMA Kraton. The servo mount is the same on all 4 1/8 scale cars, but there are 2 different chassis brace sizes - Kraton/Talion and Senton/Typhon.

I have these parts too. And they are a awesome grade!!! Makes it feel like a different car. The steering is drastically improved with the servo mount. And the chassis braces stops the marshmallow effect the car has with the stock braces. Can't wait to see the drive video. Keep up the great work. The RC world is a better place with you!!!

Hey vas, been watching your channel for quite awhile, I also have these parts for my Kraton and they are absolutely excellent, I live in alberta as well about an hour away from strathmore and met up with guy who sells these upgrades, he's a great guy, quality wise, these are some of the best parts that I have seen anywhere, servo mount helps to not strip out servos anymore, just make sure to set end points and dual rates, like you should with any servo! Thanx
Awesome Vasco! The GKA stuff is awesome from what I hear! I've been meaning to order a set, and try them out to fix the one issue the arrma 1/8th scales seem to have= chassis flex. And thanks to the guy from the arrma forum that made them!

Hey Vas. Thanks so much for this video. I just installed both of these upgrades (and an RPM front bumper and skid plate). The install was very easy, especially with your tip about the steering servo. Can't wait to try it out tomorrow to see the difference!

I doubled the chassis plate on my Talion and it has NO more problems with egging out the body holes plus it handles much better with a slightly heavier lower center of gravity. $14.95 fix vs $65.00. You just need to get slightly longer screws for the front, center and rear diff mounts.
Steve Roehl $14.95? Where did you score a chassis that cheap? They're $60+ on Tower Hobbies, plus, you'll need all new longer screws to keep it all together. And you'll have a heavier car which can't be good for the shocks and electrics long term. I know some people used to do that to the MT4 trucks, but it just makes the cars too heavy, I think. Personally, I'll stick to the factory looking parts. But, each to their own... If it works for you and you're happy, that's all that matters. 👍🏼

Hi AussieRC, have you already been testing the braces in the field with your famous jumps? How did it work out with the chassis plate itself?
Off topic a little bit, but I I noticed that the gears are exposed on both this truck and the V4 video. They don't get jammed up with mud, rocks, or dirt and damage the gears?
Aussie would you put these parts on your outcast? I'm getting mine tomorrow so wanted to eliminate as much breakage as possible. I like to jump big with my rustler, and I'm sure I will jump high with the outcast. So your opinion would be appreciated. Thanks Dave
I wonder if you put on stiffer springs, if the chassis braces would be necessary. Since the truck wouldnt bottom out causing the chassis to flex.?
i keep breaking the suspension mount frint upper will the durango 1/8th buggy one fit looks the same
hi vas, nice video, on the instructions maual the part no AR320196 chassis braces shows the same for all the 1/8 cars, is this not the case, is the typhon and senton different to the kraton and talion. especially the rear brace thanks Nicolas
is the kraton esc a hobbywing, essentailly? can you use hobbywing program card on esc?

i bought the servo mount for my typhon and the front drive shaft feels like its to close to the servo mount, did you feel the same.
How do you get it that clean?
Great upgrade vid 👍 nice parts too. Def looking into doing something like this to my v1 kraton. The alloy parts are always way better and my upgraded savox servo needs it.
Vas can i ask....have you had issues ever with the plastic centre diff mount failing.... i chewed one up (mind you was over 6 months old) but replaced with one i made up from piece of 6061 5mm flat bar as couldn't find upgrade available. No sweat as works a treat 👍

What batteries are you using. Mine just won't stay in the car. I have big problems.
I'm having a really hard time figuring this site out I don't have Facebook so does that mean I can't order parts that sucks... I have the same problem with my Kraton an I want to order those braces right away I guess I'll figure it out though thanks for the heads up on some more great parts Vas!👍🏻

How durable is the Kraton without the Aluminium braces upgrade ??
For A$700 bucks I kind of expected a very durable truggy.
I"m really interested in getting one, but once I saw in person how thin the chassis was, I kind of changed my mind a little.
In comparison (specifically talking about the Chassis), The HPI Trophy Truggy has a 3MM (vs 2.5MM in the Kraton) chassis and its laterals are also curved to further reinforce it.
Is the Kraton Chassis curved on its laterals ??

Hi everyone. Is this car handle 3s 65c lipo?
Or should I buy lower C rate?
35c is the minimum (lowest) on a lipo for the Kraton. So yes the 65c is better. Always go higher than the minimum C rate on your esc.
You can run it with 500C lipo, if you find one. The ESC is not drawing more power than it needs from the battery.
How is this truck for the price I'm looking into picking one up soon for a christmas present to myself.

lol 6061 aliuminum is not even close to as strong as 7075 there buddy better check ur mis leading info !!
I have "buddy" and I'm right 6061-T6 billet air craft aluminium is much stronger than 7075. better yet ask Dave Bowman at TR and Mark at IRC they'll happily confirm my information is correct.
