- After going up in smoke recently it's time to upgrade the esc and adjust things. Had the stock motor in so was awesome to see it hold up to those speeds.

Awesome run! 86mph is my PB on the Kraton too, same tires, single 6s 65c 5000mah Turnigy Graphene, XLX, and a 2000kv Cordova motor. Looks like those stock 185BLX 2050kv motors ain’t no joke! You pushed that bad boy up there!

What did you do to make it handle I put 8s mamba x 1650 kv on my 6s exb having handling and ballooning issues
You can touch up the wheel nuts wit a good sharpie not perfect but ,it works for me ...cool truck bro👍🏻

Yeah Src are great but only to a point for speed runs. A bit pricey but they don’t balloon as they are belted tyres. Cheers 👍🏿

Wiggan RC yea i got one now.. lol found a Typhon V2 on Craigslist for $300 well he got $180 lol.. 2 Fresh one being new 6s Lipo. Well I liked it that much I bought a Kraton V3 and now have a Outcast V3 on the way lol.. crazy that was a month ago. Now I’m getting every one they have almost. I have a go pro 3+ coming in the morning so imma get my TH-cam game back. Any suggestions?

Hey, I’m looking to get a Kraton soon, I’ve had some experience with 45 kph cars, but I’m not sure what to expect from a 100 kph one. Any advice, pointers, and know where to get one for a good price? Fellow Melbournian btw :)
Cool. Got mine from Hearns hobbies. See Rob and mention Wigganrc and he’ll look after you. V3 is out now so not sure of the price. Just get used to it on 4S with the stock setup then throw in the 17t pinion on 6s and have some fun. I spent a lot on turning it into a speed run car with new Tp motor, Xlx Esc, plaig bearing, tyres, diff oils etc etc. plenty of build videos on the channel for both Kraton and Typhon. Have fun

can i change only the integy spur gear ? on my original arrma kraton center diff ?
That’s one of the only few that fits straight on the diff. You can always get a center spool and then use pinion gears as spur gears to get a wider range. Check out the spool video here: th-cam.com/video/jKeTyIbTJU8/w-d-xo.html

What pinion where u running bro do u think it was geared up to much I’m running 6s stock with a 18T pinion in my kraton but iv just ordered a 22T pinion hope it’s ok lol

Hi wiggin, doing great stuff on your channel, so i sent you a few messages a gokd few months ago, and you have got back to me with alot of help setting my RC cars, i did get the new arrma tailon v3, i have modified it a little, for speed runs, got i nice set of 1/8 grps on it and a friend has made me a splitter for the front, now i have order the castle mamba monster 2 esc for it , but for now, what can you do to the stock esc, i no theres limits to the esc, but what program to put it to to make it go faster, thanks

How does Arrma quality compare to traxxas...in general?
+BOOSTEDLASER in Australia Arrma parts seemed to be more available but I’ve never owned a Traxxas vehicle. The general opinion from others is that Arrma is a little more durable. That said a wall will beat the best of them 😜
traxxas is worse in my opinion arrma always has 6s and they are cheap and durable
Everything else is better than Traxxas. Traxxas= expensive plastic.
I feel that Armma has Traxxas beat hands down. I live here in Dallas Texas about 25 miles from Traxxas HQ each time I go up there for support thy hit me up for exspensive plastic and there batteries suck.
First off owning over 20 rc half Traxxas half arrma arrma starting to take over my closet lol Awsome cars both one of my favorites is the Traxxas slash 4x4 I set up for speed runs

Wiggan RC I also have a arrma fazon with a Tp power 4050 2300kv with a mamba monster x esc 22t pin and stock spur how should I change that to get 100mph?
Try get the spur down to 34-38t and pinion between 29-34. Get some good batteries 65C or higher. Watch to temps and watch the setup videos on my channel of Kraton part 3. Put some good sealed or ceramic bearings in the car and test, repeat, tune, crash and repeat 😆

Hey whats a good diff oil combo for high speed runs Front diff, Center diff, and rear diff?
You really have to try a few depending on your setup and choose a brand like team associated or TLR. 5-7000 cst is a starting point.

EVERYONE raves how Arrma is so strong ( and better then Traxxas).
EVERY video ( literally 1000s) is a broken new Arrma. ALWAYS needs servos all new diffs, and other parts.
500$ new and it needs 500-1000$ of parts when brand new to be decent.
I dont get how Arrma is so good and so tough.
BOOSTEDLASER think it’s just personal preference at the end of the day. If you crash any brand they break. For the speed run guys part of the fun are the upgrades and getting the speed. For bashing I think some cars are better than others. For me it’s all about what parts can I get easily from my hobby stores. I like most brands and will try a few others when I can 👍🏿

Tamiya Grasshopper my first when I was a kid and wouldn’t mind to try the xmaxx one day if they improve the Esc, better and stronger drive train and rear hub pins plus a tougher body.

when you have drag all that does is slow it down, it makes a larger effect on the speed than you would think, i am looking at buying an outcast and cam across your video good vid by the way, but back to the point. I have a associated t5m and swapped for a 24t pinion and for me personally taking the wing off has added 4-5 mph to my speed
also the wing is for downforce so when you accelerate it pushes the car down by redirecting air with drag
