  • Today we are back at Motorcycle Mall for the dyno tuning and ECU Flash of Rich's 2021 Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP to see what this thing really can put down. In this video the bike was on U4.4 for all the runs. Tell me in the comments if you think this bike will be able to compete with the other 1k's now in drag racing and roll racing.

    Envied I have to ask you a question, being you have 1st hand knowledge. I've been told that the 21 Zx10r is a dud, and not worth the money. Understanbly everyone has there opinions, and the person I'm speaking of is very knowledgeable with kawasaki's. My question if someone was bike shopping, and there choices are 21 zx10r, 20 zx10r or Suzuki GSXR 1k which woukd you recommend? This person is looking to dig race, roll race, on both track and street. Thanks for any input

    • @EnviedKing
      @EnviedKing  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The 2021 is not a Dud. People are down talking the bike because a flash isn't available but us that have race ecus know what the bike can do. Is it a big jump from last gen, I don't think so but it is a step up. As for which bike right now I would have to say a 20 zx10r just because of the flash. Unless you're okay with spending 2600 for the krt ecu for the 21zx10. That's just my opnion

    • @tokyorick79
      @tokyorick79 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@EnviedKing respect, appreciate your input. I see you really went in on yours and it appears to have some dope results. Yes you are correct in the flash not being available is the 1st thing mentioned. For me the complete revamp is very appealing, especially with the new TFT and intergrated winglets. So far everyone that had one and posted about it has no complaints. Last question, Moto Mac installed a PC5 on his, and looking at your recent Fireblade video, you highly recommend a piggy back system if your looking to tune. I know I have to ask Mac, but do you feel the PC5 gives the 21zx10r somewhat of an edge over stock? I'm hearing you the PC5 gives access to ignition timing as well, again thanks bro. Really appreciate your feedback.

    • @EnviedKing
      @EnviedKing  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@tokyorick79 honestly I think every bike outside of maybe the S1000 can benefit from some type of piggy back. They aren't necessary but make it easier to dial in fueling and most pickup hp and better throttle response over just a flash with fuel adjustments

      @@tokyorick79 so the gen6 have better performance than gen5 and hp figures above 205 are reached with more ease.
      Now on the question with pcv its very simple yes you can fully tune a bike from ecu but the resolution of oem ecus sometimes isn't the greatest, adding a pcv can compensate for all of that. Yes Dynojet provides ignition modules but that you can do on the ecu with no problem.

    @12:36 He can probably get you that 1 or 2 extra HP but its going to start affecting your power down low making the bike ride rough! It sounds clean safe and happy around that 216 mark and IMO isn't worth the risk leaning it out more and starving the motor! This motor is really impressive and I just can't believe Honda waited so long to get back in the fight! Now we need to get Yamaha R1 to step it up because they are now sitting where Honda set for years! The new gsxr's better not sit back either because they are barely in front of Yamaha!

      @KCadbyRacing 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      What??? No offense M1000RR, just letting you know the top end tune has nothing to do with how it will run down low.
      The Fuel Table is TPS% vs RPM = tuning the 100% throttle/10,000rpm cell has zero effect on the 100% throttle/5,000rpm cell. So if each/every cell in the fuel table is tuned properly the bike will run perfect everywhere...

    the gear the bike is in shouldn't matter, the drum measures force and co-relates it with engine RPM, gear ratio and tire circumference to determine power. higher gear=lower force but more wheel rotation. Lower gear=More force but fewer rotations, it should all even out to the same power. The engine makes always the same power regardless of gear ratio, power reading at the wheel shouldn't change based on gear because power is proportional to torque and rpm. something doesn't add up with that. Also, the ZX-10 has a longer stroke, it will always make more power lower at the rev range for the same amount of fuel burnt. Honda has a bigger total displacement yes, 1.9cc more but that's less than 1% while the ZX-10R has like a 13% longer stroke, it will make considerably more torque for the same amount of Air-Fuel mixture burned at any given RPM, but it doesn't rev as high, it has smaller throttle bodies and valves, it sucks in less air and when the Honda starts to rev and actually suck in proper air, the zx is out of it. Considering how much bigger Honda's valves and throttle bodies are, it's impressive how the Ninja can stay on top for so far up the rev range. this CBR has so much potential. EDIT: I don't know the story behind that ZX-10 so i assumed it had a stock motor. I watched the video again in some parts and that bike has a name? is it some project build? does it have a stock motor or has there been work done to it?

    • @EnviedKing
      @EnviedKing  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The gear you dyno in does matter. From 4th gear to 5th gear the bike picks up 3-5hp. The bike doesn't make the same power in every gear. If you haven't had a bike on a dyno and tested this as we have then you wouldn't understand.

What in the hell are you talking about tune in through a piggyback add-on is never better than through the actual computer clearly this guy does not know what he’s talking about 🤦🏻‍♂️ it’s easier to do fuel tuning through a power commander add-on yes because it has an auto tune function and it just auto populates but no way in hell is the resolution better and you can only do fueling not the other 10 million things that you can do in the EC you this is complete garbage baloney nonsense ignorance

    • @EnviedKing
      @EnviedKing  2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      You clearly are lost my friend. The resolution insire the PCV is much better for tuning than doing it through the ECU. By resolution I mean the amount of different RPM points of adjustments. Any competent tuner will tell you the same thing and not to mention its easier to tune fueling with the PCV than the ECU because there's no flashing involved and changes can be made while the bike is still running on the dyno. Superstock allows a power commander but is a PCV more accurate than the HRC part? it's definitely cheaper.
