FT ECU, Woolich Racing, HSBK, no one was still able to unlock the ECU on the R1 2020. I hope this man can do it. Because the new R1 has a similar problem that CBR had. BrenTuning, I hope you can ECU flash the R1. I don't want to put the stock exhaust back on.
fzr1000 mid range power matters on the street??? For what commuting ?? Mid range power matters on the track a bit more where u use rev range more. On the street if ur racing... you bang out of whatever gear you start in and stay high in the Rpms through the highway turns and straights..... On the track you slow down to 1-2 gear tight turns and build back up.
fzr1000 we have no sponsorships so how we choose to ride our bikes is our own business but.... Slower speeds benefit from more midrange or higher tq figures. As for mountain roads there are a lot of mountains around nyc area so yes I do mountain roads. But racing happens only 3 ways on the street. Drag racing.. roll racing... full on racing point a to point b on map. No form of racing is dumb. Each is hard in their own way

Used MCU Innovations to flash and un-nerf my US bike back to 200hp from home. Don't forget to remove all the intake/airbox foam... Amazing bike. Glad to see Honda competitive again.

Akin, that higher rpm is of benefit for over rev when we gp race on downshifts etc. That extra 1,000 rpm of the honda is not its peak figure. For smack down type stuff it will be really of no use amd shifted prior. The quicker rev nature of motor due to light material components will help. But quite frankly comparing this cbr to a zx10r is apples to oranges. Apples apples need compare zx10rr to this bike per price and component sets.

I'm not saying he is dumb, I'm just saying he spends alot of time DYNO his bikes and alot of mods but doesn't do them himself. Remember, 650 is primarily a Ducati and BMW fan and so is Brendan. Nice to see them on board with a true Honda that highlights its speed, innovations, and cornering, while also exposing this beautiful bike to others within their communities. Man, that is one heck of a tune! the stock settings are terrible, so anyone that gets a new CBR has to get it tuned to make it the bike it's supposed to be. The torque curves are so bad at stock, well hopefully I win this CBR cause I really don't want to have to buy one and send it straight to Brendan! haha.
Don’t forget, the bmw has forged wheels, the CBR has heavy cast wheels and 2hp difference. If you put forged wheels on the CBR, you should gain an extra 1-2hp, which then both bikes would be putting out the exact same power.
@@kadrell37 yes it does work that way, the lighter the wheel, the more rotational mass, the more hp. If that wasn’t true, riders wouldn’t put ceramic bearings, or 520 conversion chain/sprocket, or lightweight brake rotor or change their wheels to forged or carbon.
They are the first ones that are able to flash the ECU on CBR 1000 RR R. I hope they will be able to unlock the ECU on R1 2020/2021. My bike runs very lean at the moment. After contacting Bren Tuning I realized that they are cool company. They said they are known to unlock ECU's that no one was previously able to do. Let's hope that they can do it, because ECU flash on the new R1 is not recommended, it is required if you have decatted exhaust. Many new R1's have blown up because of this issue. EURO 5 bikes are very lean out of the box with stock exhaust, adding a full system makes them very very lean.
They weren't the first to flash a CBR1000RR-R. That was thanks to tools developed MCU Innovations and there have been 200whp CBRs since December. Not knocking his tune, just giving credit for cracking the ECU to who actually accomplished it.
I think all those power and speed limiters are there for a reason, so you don't blow up your engine head gasket when doing them SMACK DOWNS! I would just leave it stock but to each their own! Good luck with the tunes!

They should supply a proper ecu to fit yourself after you receive it new, that way it meets all regs coming in and you simply fit it at the dealer, hey presto proper bike, that factory map was horrible

From what learned the darn "mystery" ecu on r1 and zx10r appear to come from same source. Hoping if does one it will apply to the other.

Idk if this matters but the power mode is set to 4 which is second lowest, they go from 1 at the max and 5 most restriction

173hp, my 2004 gsxr1000 makes 165hp. These new restrictions are really killing these bikes.
