Some *comments* for you: 1. Modern perfumery is based in French perfume culture. As a result, you pronounce « _eau de ..._ » as "oh duh...". So « _eau de toilette_ », for instance, becomes "oh duh twah-let", and « _parfum_ » is pronounced "par-faihn" (the n isn't pronounced; I recommend typing it into google translate to hear how these words are pronounced). 2. A lot of brands have multiple concentrations of a single perfume, and all of them smell different. For instance, Versace's Eros has an eau de toilette (edt), eau de parfum (edp), and a parfum (aka extrait de parfum). Of course, all 3 are going for the same "vibe", but the parfum smells completely different to my nose and MUCH denser than the other two lower concentrations. As a result, even if you like a certain perfume at a certain concentration, *it's not safe to buy a different concentration of the same perfume* because it is really an ENITRELY DIFFERENT perfume which should be tried _before_ buying a full bottle. 3. An edt isn't always weaker than an edp or parfum/extrait. In many cases, an edt from one brand can be stronger than pure parfum from another. For instance, Armaf's Club de Nuit Intense Man EDT, a clone of Creed's Aventus (EDP), is actually stronger than Aventus despite having a lower concentration (I don't know how, but it's true). 4. Buying clones of perfumes can be a viable option to expand one's collection and save $$$. Many clones have a tendency to actually perform better the perfumes that they were inspired by (project farther distances, last longer on skin, linger in the air longer). The aforementioned Club de Nuit Intense Man, for instance, can be had for ~$40 on Amazon, which is much cheaper than the ~$500 MSRP for 100ml of Creed Aventus. 5. Buy your fragrances at discounters! For example, instead of paying ~$500 MSRP for 100ml of Creed Aventus, you can pay like $330 for 100ml at fragrancebuy. Reddit is also a good resource to find good deals on perfumes and to buy small samples of brands you might not be able to find at Macy's/Nordstrom/Saks/Neiman Marcus. Check out r/fragranceswap and r/fragdecants for buying and r/fragrance for the general community.
The stronger performance can be attributed to the ingredients - the synthetic content in Club de Nuit is significantly higher, resulting in durability. Another rule of thumb: EdC/EdT = higher alcohol content, resulting in faster evaporation, which leads to better sillage and tends to have a shorter lasting effect. Extrait dP/Parfum = less evaporation due more perfume oil, thus lower sillage but better durability throughout the day. EdP is kind of the middle ground and for many people the sweet spot.
Dolce&Gabbana's Light Blue Intense is my daily go-to fragrance since i was 17, it has a citrusy and fresh smell to it combined with a little bit of salt water, and i really enjoy it. I had this one time that a friend of mine came back from a trip to the beach and she said "I was drinking a mojito on the sand watching the waves on a late afternoon and it reminded me of your fragrance". Loved this
tom ford black orchid, amazing dark insence and vanilla with hints of masculine dark chocolate, patchouli and feminine florals and fruits, masterpiece, unique, balanced unisex and really matches how you look in this video.
Hi, I'm a fragrance nerd who just wants to help out. With your recommendation on going for the parfum over the eau de toilette because it lasts longer. Just keep in mind, the projection (the thing that makes the fragrance jump off your skin) comes from the alcohol content. So generally whilst fragrances with higher oil concentrations do last longer, they will not project like an EDT and will sit close to your skin (us frag nerds call this a 'skin scent'). Cheers
also don’t forget to add, all the concentrations just have there qualities , eau de toilettes do project more they usually won’t last long, EDP’s have a mix of parfum and edt, projects while last decently, also good to note that it just depends on the housing and brand, who’s the perfumer, how much quality the brand cares abt
I absolutely love my brothers and what they've shown me, but they're pretty big nerds - like me. This video felt like them teaching me, just in a topic they're clueless about. Thanks man :)
Longevity does not come down to concentration only. It also depends on the fragrance composition and notes. Citrusy and fresh fragrances usually last less, sweet fragrances last longer.
Yo, as a person who has never cared about fashion or anything in this whole world or level of self-care, I gotta say, thank you for these pointers man. It's super daunting looking at all this stuff from the outside.
As someone who’s a beginner in the fashion realm I gotta say my confidence has went up because of it. I would recommend starting off small but to try nonetheless
I remember growing up liking fragrances cause my dad would kiss me on the head before work and I'd smell his Dolce & Gabbana. As of late, I've realized that a fragrance can honestly spice up a fit similar to how jewelry and bags and stuff do. Valentino Uomo line is really good. Slightly sweet but they're all amazing even according to my friends that don't care for fragrances. Moschino Toy Boy is slightly floral but lasts for like 13 hours and is super appealing. Dolce & Gabbana's 'The One' eau de parfum is probably my favorite as of late as it makes me feel like Bruce Wayne tbh idk why but if you smell it you'll probably see what I'm saying. Good luck everybody
The problem is “The one” is date night or winter time and honestly i won’t be on dates a lot lol, i’ve heard toyboy is a bad blind but i’ve heard it’s very very rosey
as a guy who plays rock and wears black, my perfect signature fragrance is Z&V This is him. Pepper, incense, vanilla and sandalwood. So simple, yet so elegant and mature. Can't recommend enough, this is a unique cheapie.
I tried light blue and it made me smell like hotel soap lmaoo. Doesn’t mean it’s bad though I just couldn’t get it out my head when I noticed the similarity
I have gypsy water by Byredo, atelier Cologne, Leather shoot and still life in Rio by olfactive studio, divin part by noème. I associate my fragrances with certain outfits and seasons of the year. I find it really cool how much they add to yourself and that you can start a conversation about them
I might get murdered for this, but my signature fragrance is a lemon and ginger fancy artisanal air freshener i got gifted once that i just started using as perfume. I've just always loved the smell of cutting a lemon, and this one doesnt smell like that super sweet artificial lemon from like candies either, but like the real thing, and makes me feel all summer-y and bright even in the cold months :D
This year I completely fell in love with CDG 2. I remember initially smelling it in a shop and absolutely hating it, but I couldn’t stop thinking about the smell for weeks. Eventually I got a sample and never went back. Managed to get a 100ml bottle on eBay recently, really glad I found a smell that I feel represents me
something that you need to know if you're in te process of finding your signature scent is that ALL perfumes are unisex i'm a man and i prefer scents that are more femenine or ''for women'' (specially gourmand and sweet fragances) sooo feel free to use anything you like :)
nothing wrong with generic/popular fragrances and theyre popular for a reason but to anyone who wants to find their own "personal" scent thats unique to them, i suggest asking your significant other, friends, family, or yourself what you'd smell like (woody, fresh, warm spicy, gourmand, smoky, dark, etc) i personally like to use Fragrantica for info and comments and 'the perfume guy' to discover brands or certain scent profiles im interested in. It's all really personal. I like warm spicy (cinammon, peppers, amber) and my gf loves wearing incense or herbal scents. good luck find yours!
I'm 30 and just ordered my first fragrance sampler. I have no idea where to start, so getting my hands on a handful of scents should give me an idea. All I know is that I like fresh smells, like being fresh out of the shower or opening the window for the first time in the spring. When I think perfume or cologne, I just think of chemical irritants, because that's what I've been exposed to. I'm choosing to try out natural and ethical fragrances first. I wish to find something very pleasing and soothing. 😌
My personal favorite fragrance is a winter one called Golden Dallah by Xerjoff. Very complex fragrance with a lot of rose and coffee notes and the development of the notes over time is insane
Freshly back from my local department store, where I was bombarded relentlessly with scented tester strips by eager sales staff, and succumbed to olfactory fatigue. I found that a lot of what’s on display right now just doesn’t dethrone the wonderful scents I already own in my wardrobe. The more on-hands exposure one has with scents via visiting department stores and purchasing decants, the less mystifying they become, and their acquisition syndrome begins to decline. My two favorite mainstream fragrance brands overall are Guerlain and Bvlgari. As for boutique, I love Amouage. Given your affinity for black clothing and woody scents, I would recommend Lalique Encre Noire, either the original, or Encre Noire A L’Extême.
Some faves of mine: Mojave Ghost by Byredo Sundazed by Byredo Oud in Bourbon by Scents of Wood Studied by Liis Peau by Arquisite Sydney Rock Pool by Arquisite Unknown Pleasure by Kersosene (Lemon cake vibe) Follow by Kerosene (coffee vibe) One thing I do is use lighter fragrances for the day and then heavier ones at night if I'm going out, especially if I'm wearing my leather jacket. Natural leather smell + oud is an enthralling combo

my favorites are Versace - the dreamer maison margiela - by the fireplace Thierry Mugler - pure malt Lacoste - L12.12 blanc eau de parfum Nikos - sculpture homme eau de toilette
I have a few masculine perfumes and feminine perfumes. For feminine perfumes, I always get compliments on Ari and Sweet Like Candy by Ariana grande, and Sauvage Elixir for masculine perfumes. Sauvage Elixir and Sweet Like Candy are by far the most complimented as they both embody different parts of my personality based on how masculine or feminine I wanna present on the day
I bought my brother Armani stronger with you and it the most beautiful “male” fragrance out there I steal it and wear it myself all the time I might even buy a bottle in the future. I think it’s truly a unisex scent that just smells like power and elegance but also somewhat alternative. Idk how to describe it it reminds me of brutalist architecture and my post communist country. My signature is Narciso Rodriguez for her (black bottle) I often get told I smell and look intimidating and people are shocked when they find out I’m actually really shy.
Molecules 04 is my absolute go-to. It's non-linear, low-key, and so damn gorgeous. Love it on myself as well as on others. Close seconds are Byredo's Black Saffron and Jo Malone's Oak and Hazelnut. Both of these are chef's kiss!
Some of my favs (in no particular order): 1) MFK Gentle Fluidity Silver 2) Xerjoff Naxos 3) Armani Acqua di Gio Parfum 4) YSL Myslf Edp 5) placeholder for a good Oud scent (I like Oud)…narrowing it down, getting closer.
For people new to the fragrance community you can go watch the top 10 best fragrance videos And then the ones that seem the most interesting to you look up the best clones of that fragrance Then you can buy the same fragrance for like 20$ instead the average 150-200 that you pay for the average fragrance some of the best clone fragrance brands are armaf, lataffa, and afnan. And remember not very many people wear fragrances and will not be able to tell the difference so there is absolutely no reason to buy the real thing!
The Eau de Toilette and Eau de Parfum part is basically wrong. There are many EdT that last up to 10-12 hours and also EdP that last only a few hours. Some EdT even last as long as their EdP counterpart but just differ in scent. I think EdP can be an indicator of better quality ingredients, but in my opinion, this rarely translated to better quality smelling scent ( especially when there are so many synthetic notes that work well)
Yeah exactly, in general EdP are longer lasting than EdT, but there are some cases where an EdT can be longer than an EdP, especially in the case of citrusy EdP that tend to evaporate faster
I wear Santal 33, but I didn't discover it through tiktok videos or internet forums. I first heard of and smelled it at work, and I loved it so much I asked this random guy what fragrance it was. A week later and it was at my door, and I've been wearing it ever since.
some fragrances i recommend you: Encre Noire (it smells like cypress and it feels like lying down in a dark wood at night) 1979 New Wave (it smells like mint and sandalwood, but then it becomes sweeter, it's like staying in a smoky post punk concert)
Really love how Etat Libre d'Orange was mentioned in this video, Hermann A Mes Cotes Me Paraissait Une Ombre is my favorite so far and it works well on guys with long hair like us. Smells like forest after rain, calming, stoic and effortless. Just gives a relaxed vibe to anyone around you as an introvert.
I'm guilty of putting on a sizable amount of extra perfume when I go out, but I've also made myself sick doing that with some scents lol My most lugubrious days were like, keeping a fragrance in my bag when I go to the bathhouse, and repeatedly going to my locker and re-upping the scent then washing it off.
Le Jardin de Monsieur Li… if you know nothing of this scent or what’s in it, I can’t describe it better than being in a lackadaisical dreamland in which there blows a golden wind that smells like sunlight and clarity. I KNOW IT SOUNDS SO DUMB but that’s all I could really feel when I smelled it for so long, because I could never put my finger on the kumquat note. Such a light and bright citrus that I couldn’t name gave an air of something beautiful and unknowable, heavenly, some sparkling (but not fizzy) effervescence. It really takes me somewhere divine, fantastical and euphoric. Jean-Claude Ellena is a master at creating fantastical scenes with naturalistic elements, balancing florals and citruses on a tight rope. My personal favorite of the Jardin series.
Best way to sample fragrances is going to the Macy’s men fragrance department or malls usually have a store dedicated to fragrances. Also, Ross, TJ maxx, and marshals are great places to buy fragrances if you’re in a budget.
PEGASUS EAU DE PARFUM by Parfums de Marly. I went hard into fragrances quickly building a nice collection, but when I found Pegasus, I found home... I have gone through 4 or 5 bottles, and while it is the one I love very much, I don't know if I can keep paying $350 a bottle. But still, everyone should check it out. Pegasus longevity and silage are outstanding. Main accords: almond, vanilla, powdery, nutty, sweet, lavender, fruity, floral, woody, fresh spicy. Top notes: bergamot, heliotrope and cumin. Heart: jasmine, bitter almond, and lavender. Base: amber, vanilla, and sandalwood.
So I purchased Encre Noir bc Im a beginner collector. I was fully expecting to have a tough time with it as so many reviews describe it as "the smell of gloom and doom." I was REALLY surprised at how beautiful I find it to be, and it must play really well off my skin bc EVERY TIME I wear it , I get compliments (middle of summer). I know it'd make a weird signature, plus im generally a cheerful person, but Im seriously considering it. Great video! 😊
I'm that one friend/brother that wears clean fresh musky and warm fragrances. all the fragrances that I wear and people that know me know my scent already. whenever my family members or friends smell my scent somewhere else they think of me
Eau de toilettes actually have more projection than higher concentrations. Meaning the “radius” is bigger. They typically don’t last as long but every cologne is different. Sauvage edt lasts 6+ hours

my favorite fragrance Encre Noire Lalique I have been using it for more than a year. this is a suite and it smells of dark autumn. I advise you to get to know him)))
You should try smelling Loewe 001, I personally like the edt one the most, but all of them are great. It’s a super underrated scent as I don’t see many people talking/using it.
My favourite is CDG's Blackpepper, which is also my signature. It smells smokey, fresh and sensual, but most importantly it smells really really "black", I don't know how else to describe it, but if you asked me "what does the colour black smell like" I would point to it. A second favourite would be Burberry London, especially the 2006 pre-reformulation version.
For me right now Dior Homme (2020) and Sport (2021) as well as YSL Lhomme are the ones I use in warmer weather, and Parfums de Marly Layton in the winter, super nice fragrances
I know I’m late to the party here but if on the off chance you do see this, Mancera Sand Aoud seems like something youd enjoy, its a spicy rose oud scent thats not offensive and actually quite lovely with great longevity and good projection not insane but good. top notes are mainly spices, the middle notes are incense, saffron and rose, and the base it oud, vanilla, patchouli. its lovely
6:10 Is not always true, as it can be with expensive fragrances like Creed (ahem, Aventus) or Freshies from PDM, or even most Jo Malones, Diptyque, and Byredo (no hate), etc. They last at most 3-4 hrs and become very close skin scents, and fade off as they don't work well with my skin chemistry. I do have fairly oily skin, so that isn't a problem that I need to "moisturize" or have "clean skin out of the shower b.s." Edit: And no, I did not become nose bind; I do ask around-relatives, friends, etc.
You look like you're a floral, spicy frag type of guy. My signature scent's Bleu de Chanel EDT. BUT, I also rotate among Y EDP, Dior Homme Sport (2012 version), and Lacoste Blanc. A fragrance usually becomes a signature for me mainly because of nostalgia factor, or when it has accompanied me for a long time. BdC EDT seems to be the most versatile and most fragrant for my nose. I have added recently Acqua di Gio Profumo, Allure Homme Sport Eau Extreme to my collection. I think those mentioned will be my lifetime scents, I feel like I won't expand anymore. Maybe a little bit, if they tend to have new flankers in the future.
Mercedes benz club black is my signature scent. I love vanilla cologne alot so i gravitate towards that one. A close second is Dolce&Gabbana Pour Homme
The Entire Guerlain Lhomme Ideal line is what I consider my signature. Love every one of them and hope the Platine Prive becomes available in my country.
I personally like THE MATCHA 26 and REPLICAS MATCHA MEDITATION together as my signiture scent. I also switch around with J SCENT ROASTED GREEN TEA. These are more fresh i guess but they are very calming for me. and during colder months if i need more of a kick i go for JSCENT CAFE and REPLICAS COFFEE BREAK :)
Can defined underline this. People tell me they can recognise me by my smell without seeing me. Oftentimes they smell something similar in public and think of me. My scent lingers in their heads.
Personally I don't think longevity or projection should be the first thing one should consider when buying a fragrance. How it smells should be the priority. If I have to choose between a fleeting scent that I love and something "beast mode" but smells lesser, I'd choose the first one and and re-apply it throughout the day if needed.
Davidoff Cool Water: (Aromatic and Aquatic/Marine) If you are looking for a fragrance for the summer that is NOT the Nautica Voyage and is below 30 dollars with decent silage and longevity, then go for this one. Paco Rabanne Invictus (Original): (Citrusy, Marine, Aromatic) This is a fragrance I would pick over the Paco Rabanne's 1 million just because of its less synthetic smell and it is not as strong and sharp to people's noses. It has enough silage to be smelled from 2 to 3 feet away with the longevity with good silage in a 3 to 4 hour range. It is perfect for date nights and day time/summer which the 1 million fails to do so and is mostly good for colder environments.
Versace red jeans is one I love, it's so much cheaper than other Versace perfumes but it has a light sweet smell that feels comforting. C'est "pour femme" but I actually don't believe that scents should be gendered. if a big burly man wants to smell like roses and vanilla [not how red jeans smells, it's more like the musk sticks candy vibe] than he should without judgement.
whispers in the library goes so hard on my skin, that's my usual cold weather scent vs scifi by ellis for warmer weather. Both hit with similar notes but one is "sweeter" while the other is "fresher" and a bit stronger which helps with the summer stank
My favorite fragrance rn is Hawaii Volcano by alexandria. PERFECT summer fragrance because it smells like fresh lime and coconut. It is also inspired by creeds virgin island water. But yeah its a fun and fresh extrait de parfum that is more than worth the price. also loving spicebomb night vision EDP even though most would call it a winter scent
there is this lil home goods brand called skeem that sell matches and candles but also have these nice roller ball fragrances. the one i like is called coastal drift wood and it smells mossy and aquatic. it smells like still water in a forest. but it also smells like what i imagin sexy surfers smell like.
I like a lot of clone houses, mostly because of the twist of the smell compared to the original, and how they play around with it, ik clones get quite some hate but clones are just cheaper, and depending on the fragrance, better longevity than the original
Good longevity and projection in a fragrance isn't necessarily a good or bad thing. It's just a feature. It's like saying a piece of clothing keeps you warm. Say you're in a small room, during a hot day. You probably don't want a fragrance that is very concentrated or heavy. You'll want something lighter that sticks to you a little more. Also, some eau de toilette have better performance than some eau de parfum. You should always give your fragrances a full wearing before buying.

thank you for the more in depth info appreciate it bae ;)
While this is generally true this is also subjective. Most extrait de Parfums or elixirs (25%+ oil concentration) are room fillers
also don’t forget to add, all the concentrations just have there qualities , eau de toilettes do project more they usually won’t last long, EDP’s have a mix of parfum and edt, projects while last decently, also good to note that it just depends on the housing and brand, who’s the perfumer, how much quality the brand cares abt
new york npc is convinced that everyone wears santal 33 😂
I absolutely love my brothers and what they've shown me, but they're pretty big nerds - like me. This video felt like them teaching me, just in a topic they're clueless about. Thanks man :)
id like to inform you that i dont, but thats okay.

@@TsKTyrese not esoteric enough. Bad list.
@@TsKTyresemid (i know almost nothing about fragrances)
Longevity does not come down to concentration only. It also depends on the fragrance composition and notes. Citrusy and fresh fragrances usually last less, sweet fragrances last longer.
You're right, sometimes you'll find an edt that will throw HEAVY scent and make a huge scent bubble.
Most people can't dress now you see
I remember growing up liking fragrances cause my dad would kiss me on the head before work and I'd smell his Dolce & Gabbana.
Just purchased my first fregrance. It is Dior Eau Sauvage De Eau Toilette. I love it. It has these nice summer flower and citrus smells.
i feel like fragrances are best depending on the seasons and u should always consider which works best in the necessary season
Same. I recently got into fragrances and while I love the idea of a signature, most scents work best in certain weather/seasons imo.
I love changing my scent based on the season! Give some something to look forward to
as a guy who plays rock and wears black, my perfect signature fragrance is Z&V This is him. Pepper, incense, vanilla and sandalwood. So simple, yet so elegant and mature. Can't recommend enough, this is a unique cheapie.
Favourite Fragrances - Nishane Hacivat (Cold Weather) | D&G Light Blue Intense (Warm Weather)
I was just gonna comment light blue
Ill have to check into those! Reading the notes of them they seem to fit something id like
I tried light blue and it made me smell like hotel soap lmaoo.
I find it really cool how much they add to yourself and that you can start a conversation about them
u don't like fragrances that last lol ...just kidding have had all of them in the past extremely pleasant scent profiles
@@djnkg4703 yes, only leather shoot lasts long… I agree scents and notes are very rich
Managed to get a 100ml bottle on eBay recently, really glad I found a smell that I feel represents me
something that you need to know if you're in te process of finding your signature scent is that ALL perfumes are unisex
i'm a man and i prefer scents that are more femenine or ''for women'' (specially gourmand and sweet fragances) sooo feel free to use anything you like :)
Dude your hair is amazing.
nothing wrong with generic/popular fragrances and theyre popular for a reason but to anyone who wants to find their own "personal" scent thats unique to them, i suggest asking your significant other, friends, family, or yourself what you'd smell like (woody, fresh, warm spicy, gourmand, smoky, dark, etc)
i personally like to use Fragrantica for info and comments and 'the perfume guy' to discover brands or certain scent profiles im interested in.
18min video for a sponsorship deal, now that's commitment
Some faves of mine:
Mojave Ghost by Byredo
Sundazed by Byredo
Oud in Bourbon by Scents of Wood
Studied by Liis
Peau by Arquisite
Sydney Rock Pool by Arquisite
Unknown Pleasure by Kersosene (Lemon cake vibe)
Follow by Kerosene (coffee vibe)
One thing I do is use lighter fragrances for the day and then heavier ones at night if I'm going out, especially if I'm wearing my leather jacket. Natural leather smell + oud is an enthralling combo
Studied is so good
I’m literally DYING to try Unknown pleasure by Kerosene, how do you find it?
@@MannyG03_og I live in San Francisco and nearby my apartment there’s the shop Ministry of Scent. They have a lot of great stuff and an online store too
@@pedrogarzon12 I live in London and the only store that sells it ran out and won’t restock for a couple of months. But what do you think of the fragrance? 😂How’s the smell and longevity?
@@MannyG03_og I think it's fun! I think it lasts a decent amount, but not all day into the night. I like putting Unkown Pleasure on one wrist and then Following on the other to get the feeling of eating a delicious cake with coffee
I'm so sorry but Scentbird is such a scam. they literally would not let me cancel my subscription. I had to email the support team 6 times with no reply. it took 4 months and an Instagram comment for them to finally unsub me. extremely poor customer service
Nothing better then applying cologne after a shower. Helps w my “Aura” ngl when I step out
Oooooh I like that. I know I need a bottle in my bathroom for this purpose now.
my favorites are
Versace - the dreamer
maison margiela - by the fireplace
Thierry Mugler - pure malt
Lacoste - L12.12 blanc eau de parfum
Nikos - sculpture homme eau de toilette
I only need Jeremy for picking fragrances.
King.

Molecules 04 is my absolute go-to. It's non-linear, low-key, and so damn gorgeous. Love it on myself as well as on others. Close seconds are Byredo's Black Saffron and Jo Malone's Oak and Hazelnut. Both of these are chef's kiss!
Some of my favs (in no particular order):
1) MFK Gentle Fluidity Silver
2) Xerjoff Naxos
3) Armani Acqua di Gio Parfum
4) YSL Myslf Edp
5) placeholder for a good Oud scent (I like Oud)…narrowing it down, getting closer.
For people new to the fragrance community you can go watch the top 10 best fragrance videos
And then the ones that seem the most interesting to you look up the best clones of that fragrance
Then you can buy the same fragrance for like 20$ instead the average 150-200 that you pay for the average fragrance some of the best clone fragrance brands are armaf, lataffa, and afnan. And remember not very many people wear fragrances and will not be able to tell the difference so there is absolutely no reason to buy the real thing!
Azzaro Wanted is a great fall/winter fragrance that I would recommend with a woody citrus smell with hints of spiciness.
The Eau de Toilette and Eau de Parfum part is basically wrong. There are many EdT that last up to 10-12 hours and also EdP that last only a few hours. Some EdT even last as long as their EdP counterpart but just differ in scent.
I think EdP can be an indicator of better quality ingredients, but in my opinion, this rarely translated to better quality smelling scent ( especially when there are so many synthetic notes that work well)
i was thinking the same thing. this was a key part that made me recognize that they are quite entry level in their understanding of fragrance
@@xathomir yes, exactly what I was thinking in many parts of the video
Yeah exactly, in general EdP are longer lasting than EdT, but there are some cases where an EdT can be longer than an EdP, especially in the case of citrusy EdP that tend to evaporate faster
bubble bath from replica collection as an everyday fragrance is sooo good 😮💨
I wear Santal 33, but I didn't discover it through tiktok videos or internet forums. I first heard of and smelled it at work, and I loved it so much I asked this random guy what fragrance it was. A week later and it was at my door, and I've been wearing it ever since.
some fragrances i recommend you:
Encre Noire (it smells like cypress and it feels like lying down in a dark wood at night)
1979 New Wave (it smells like mint and sandalwood, but then it becomes sweeter, it's like staying in a smoky post punk concert)
I'm guilty of putting on a sizable amount of extra perfume when I go out, but I've also made myself sick doing that with some scents lol
My most lugubrious days were like, keeping a fragrance in my bag when I go to the bathhouse, and repeatedly going to my locker and re-upping the scent then washing it off.
This video really resonates with me, my grandpa used to always say how important it is to have one signature fragrance. Thanks for the video!
PDM is great. I think my favorite so far is Herod but I actually Havnt smelled Pegasus yet I don’t think
Thanks for the advices. You are literally the Fashion Elitist friend i would like to have.
And you definitely don’t want to spray on your wrists and rub it. Don’t be scared to spray 5 sprays
fragrances are one of those things that ive wanted to get sorta into for a while but seemed kinda daunting and confusing but this was very informative and concise so thank you. your videos are cool mr elitist, keep it up 😎
Random/obscure scents to try:
1: Prada Luna Rosa Sport
2: Chanel Allure Homme Sport Eau Extreme
3: John Vartatos Vintage or XX Artisan
4: Versace Pour Homme
5: Terre de Hermes
6: Ulrich Lang Lethe
7: Lacoste L.12.12 White
8: Gucci Guilty Pour Homme
9: Monte Blanc Individuel
10: Aventus Green Irish Tweed
Prada l'homme. By far the best perfume I ever smelt
A Old Fragrance But Still Amazing & Very Unique Is Perry Ellis 360 1995, The Opening Is Like A Punch In The Nose, Very Strong & Powerful. Heavy Notes Of Lavender & Citrus. Longevity Is Pretty Good Lasting 4-5 Hours. I Catch Myself Throughout The Day Getting Wafts Of Stent & Its Incredible. I Highly Recommend This Cologne & The Other 360 Clones.
15:08 costco, walmart, amazon (online), and other well-known Discounters are your best friends
The hair is Luxurious✨
My favorite fragrances are PdM Layton, Nishane Ani, and Dior Homme Intense.
Expensive taste
damn bro wtf..are u me?
my favorite fragrance Encre Noire Lalique I have been using it for more than a year. this is a suite and it smells of dark autumn.
Macklemore also wears CDG BlackPepper. He mentions it in his GQ “10 things he can’t live without” video on TH-cam. Lol
What is "GDG"
For me right now Dior Homme (2020) and Sport (2021) as well as YSL Lhomme are the ones I use in warmer weather, and Parfums de Marly Layton in the winter, super nice fragrances
Dior homme sport IS GOATED in the summertime
"Hugo Boss- The Scent" is my day to day at the moment, its calm and nice :)
I know I’m late to the party here but if on the off chance you do see this, Mancera Sand Aoud seems like something youd enjoy, its a spicy rose oud scent thats not offensive and actually quite lovely with great longevity and good projection not insane but good. top notes are mainly spices, the middle notes are incense, saffron and rose, and the base it oud, vanilla, patchouli. its lovely
I wear Polo Black by Ralph Lauren. My ex fiance wore it when we were international students in Japan.
I do have fairly oily skin, so that isn't a problem that I need to "moisturize" or have "clean skin out of the shower b.s."
Edit: And no, I did not become nose bind; I do ask around-relatives, friends, etc.
Big Pony 1: Polo Ralph Lauren is my favorite
Citrusy, light, lasts a decent amount of time, greattttt summer scent
With your style I feel like Frédéric Malle Portrait of a Lady completes it.
Well I just looked up a review of a cologne I ordered cause I found the name of it to be intriguing but here I am you popped up on my recommended
Mercedes benz club black is my signature scent. I love vanilla cologne alot so i gravitate towards that one.
A close second is Dolce&Gabbana Pour Homme
Coffee Break by Maison Margiela and Beau De Jour from Tom Ford are what Ive been rocking lately.
The Entire Guerlain Lhomme Ideal line is what I consider my signature. Love every one of them and hope the Platine Prive becomes available in my country.
My signature scent is Bleu De Chanel EDP, but right now I am wearing Xerjoff Naxos, Rasasi Hawas, & Versace Eros Flame.
Coffee Break is so good
jscent is so good and decent on price
These are not hard fast rules. A lot of EDTs perform pretty well. Also if longevity is a concern just decant it and reapply.
If I have to choose between a fleeting scent that I love and something "beast mode" but smells lesser, I'd choose the first one and and re-apply it throughout the day if needed.
i wear tom ford noir extreme in the winter and Perfumes de Marley sedley for the summer
I have a bunch of fragrances (all affordable dupes except for 2) and I wear different ones with each of my fits or depending on the weather or so on
Davidoff Cool Water: (Aromatic and Aquatic/Marine) If you are looking for a fragrance for the summer that is NOT the Nautica Voyage and is below 30 dollars with decent silage and longevity, then go for this one.
It is perfect for date nights and day time/summer which the 1 million fails to do so and is mostly good for colder environments.
a video sponsored by scent bird is going to teach me about choosing a fragrance shure
Versace red jeans is one I love, it's so much cheaper than other Versace perfumes but it has a light sweet smell that feels comforting. C'est "pour femme" but I actually don't believe that scents should be gendered. if a big burly man wants to smell like roses and vanilla [not how red jeans smells, it's more like the musk sticks candy vibe] than he should without judgement.
lol
Versace is cheaper in genral
Summer outfit guide vid? Love your way of putting stuff together but also would be interested seeing it applied to stuff for hotter temps
been thru so many fragrances but dior homme sport is so citrusy & woody & fresh its all the smells i love in one cologne
whispers in the library goes so hard on my skin, that's my usual cold weather scent vs scifi by ellis for warmer weather.
Youre the first person ive seen reference shroom cola in the slightest....i love it lol
Actually I dont suck at picking fragrances since I know more about it than you and have better taste, so thought I should let you know
PDM Carlisle and Layton are both winter beasts
Dior Sauvage elixir is one of my favorites cause it's sweet and warm that gives off a structured and mature sort of feel. Would definitely recommend.
It’s a good one. Definitely more mature and dark then the other sauvages. I like EDP the best
I appreciated that you said perfumes are cool and all but also luxuries you don't have to buy
i stated that exact thing at the end
i have worn yves saint laurant l'homme edt for a very long time. very gentle smell, do keep in mind that the projection isnt the greatest.
there is this lil home goods brand called skeem that sell matches and candles but also have these nice roller ball fragrances. the one i like is called coastal drift wood and it smells mossy and aquatic. it smells like still water in a forest. but it also smells like what i imagin sexy surfers smell like.
You should always give your fragrances a full wearing before buying.
my favorite fragrance is under the lemon trees by margiela because it is just very pleasant to the nose and has such a distinguished sent
