I have watched your channel for many years. I watch other garden channels too, but lose interest in them after a while. I never tire of your channel, though! I look forward to watching every day. I think it's because of the great variety, great people and the best inspiring beauty you provide. All of your projects, large or small are simply beautiful! ❤
I totally agree with you. I never grow tired of this family.
I agree! Always get great ideas and sometimes solutions to things happening in my garden.
Agree. Look forward to seeing their videos every morning❤ Have learned so much! Lovely family. Thankful❤❤❤
Same for me and most channels copy anyway 😃
This is the only garden channel I watch. 😊 have a great day.
Laura I just want to thank you for always talking about the current weather conditions in your area before talking about the garden projects. I can't speak for all the other gardeners that watch but, I do appreciate that. I like how you place the empty pot in the container and fill in soil around it before placing the plant. That's a great garden tip!
Me too on the weather, as I get a heads’ up on what may be coming my way~~
Agreed. I love how she thinks every type of weather is beautiful. Doesn't matter if it's gray, sunny, snowy. Except windy. She's not a fan of that.
I saw that tip on another channel and just used it to plant up some purple basil. It works great!
Samantha sounds like Aaron with the trees! “ Get it, Get it 😂❤
I love hearing Samatha say "get it!" She is a supportive plant shopper! I drove past Cloverdale Nursery on Tuesday and told my kids, "see I can drive right by without stopping" and my son said "no it's ok Mama, you can go!" 😂
Aww... Love that, sweet kid!
@@melodykaufer5696 🥰
That's so sweet!!! I love it.
@@jennhoff03 boys sure are good at loving their mama's 🥰
Samantha Grace “get it” … 😂 Oh that’s my kind of shopping partner. And am I the only one looking at Benjamin thinking, wow when did he grow up? He is growing into a little young man & his haircut makes him look so much older. 🥰 It's precious to get to watch your babies grow up in front of us. Thank you for sharing your garden, your home and your beautiful family with us.
“Get it” is something her grandmother would say! 😄
It was so cute to see Samantha at the garden center, pointing out the pink plant she wanted to buy. She is really getting into gardening! How fun that must be that your children appreciate what you do!
Yes I noticed she was only interested in pink flowers😂
Shopping with Samantha was adorable. Can’t wait until she joins you in the antique shopping trips.
Omg yes 😭😭😭
Do you think you're going to miss the window boxes? The way you planted them was always so beautiful! The fresh paint on the house looks amazing!♡
I know I’ll miss her planting them. The planters were one of my favorite things she planted. 😔😔😔
@@DebbieRoycroft-gj9hg especially last year with the beautiful mix of foliage. I plan to pot up the containers at the mall where I work using that plant combo as my inspiration! Mostly shade loving plants ♡
I agree that window boxes could be removed. Would make house neater.
@@pamelawoodall5891 they did get removed when the house was painted.
I love this spot...it's so inviting! Perhaps add a tall piece of white lattice behind the new Japanese Maple (between the post and the wall of the house)? It would hide the grill but still provide light and airflow to that corner section outside your back door. It would also continue the lattice designs you have on your wall trellis supports, your iron table/chairs and the lattice on the bottom of your back porch. 🙂
Nice idea 💡
Good morning! To be able to run down to such a great garden center with so many trees and plants and pick up what you need to plant. I just don’t have something like that near me. Andrews always has such gorgeous plants, flowers & trees.
It is just as lovely in person as it seems on video. ❤
That clematis you planted is one of the prettiest I have seen.
That is a really nice grouping with the Japanese Maple, hosta and boxwood. And boy, that "Wheee!" hosta really is a looker. Samantha did a great job helping you!
Benjamin planted a viola because there was too much space, too cute! He is watching you and learning. Good job mama! ❤
That second Japanese maple really tied that space together. Great choice Laura.
Love seeing Samantha shadowing you as Benjamin once did. Such sweet seasons of life. 🤍
Samantha Grace is such a good helper. She Will follow her mothers steps. Love your Chanel.
You have given me a newfound love of trees. Your tutoring is invaluable.
Laura, those cream & green clematis are so quietly elegant and I look forward to seeing that garden border develop. Some shade at the feet of the clematis vines will complete the picture beautifully! Have a wonderful day. ✨🪴✨
Laura, you have the most beautiful children, and you can tell, they are so loved, well behaved🥰 good job Mom!
Sweetest little outfit Samantha had on! Enjoy the Mom and Dad closeness while it lasts!💞
Love the plants and those purple violas are gorgeous! The purple clematis will be perfect with the obelisk in the flower bed! I hope the cream/white clematis will do beautifully in that spot! Great video! Blessings to you all 🙏🏻💕
Hello
This is first video I’ve watched since last September. My husband and I would watch your videos each week. Last September my husband fell ill and passed away this January and I could not bring myself to watch your channel as the memories were too painful remembering how we enjoyed your gardens. I thoroughly enjoyed your video and it was helpful during these days. Thank you
💙
Love the way the little kitchen patio turned out with the two trees and the big hostas! Little trick for the clematis if you do not want to plant anything to shade the roots right away is to place a flat stone over their root run to keep their feet cool.
Laura, I hope you didn’t completely throw away the macrophylla hydrangea. I have two or three that were given to me by my granddaughter and they are the very last ones to come out in the springtime maybe even late May zone 5. It always worries me that they’ve died off because they come out so late, I just wanted to add that thought that maybe they’re really not dead but just late in starting out in the spring. I love your channel. It’s the first thing I watch every day before I get up. Thank you so much for your sharing your lives with us and I’ve learned so much over the years.
Oh dear. I hope she didn’t toss them too soon.
As long as they have any leaves at all by May- I never throw them out. I’ve had way too many that came back beautifully. I’ve had to cut them way back and didn’t have flowers that year but the following year they were beautiful.
Here in the South, we typically don’t prune them until we see leaves. Pruning them too hard can really damage them. I think Grumpy Gardener in Southern Living has a recommendation guide for all types. He’s a big fan of all types of hydrangea.
Your children are just so sweet and animated! I love that they are out with you learning all the things about plants and just spending time in nature. Bless you.
I wish Ontario, Canada was as warm as Ontario, Oregon!
I second that! Lol
I did a bit of research and where Laura lives is just a couple of kilos north(!) of where I live in Durham region. Her house is about the same latitude as Orono. So strange.
@@Ibis333 you’re correct it does seem like southern Ontario Canada seems on the same latitude. But it doesn’t seem to matter lol 🥶
The love that pours out of your family touches my heart. The warm and loving reception that your Mom and Dad had for Samantha literally brought tears to my eyes. Thank you for sharing your beautiful life with us!!!❤❤❤
Samantha is becoming the best (and sweetest) little garden helper ever! I couldn't help but giggle as she helped with the replanting project.
Samantha is an enabler like your mom saying “let’s get it!” ❤❤❤ also side note: Jenny and Jerry’s new video today (Gardening with Creekside of course) she shows a Japanese Maple in her garden called Fireglow and you’re showing it here that is a sign for you Laura…I’d love to see the comparison how it does from your area to their area…you could do a follow up later in the season with them that’d be 👏🏻 …please 🙏 tell us you bought it 🙏
Your containers look beautiful! I love the Japanese maple. It really fills in that space. Samantha looks so adorable in pigtails and she is such a great little helper. Benjamin is getting so big and has such a great personality.
So precious watching Samatha helping mom. She is such a sweet on. Benjamin has been helping more now and then also. He is amazing too. Everything looks so good.
The sweetest gardening video - made more awesome by Samantha Grace visiting with Grandma, Grandpa & Monica at the garden center.
Love how Sanantha is so delicate with the Clematis blooms. So adorable.
Thank you so much Laura for sharing. Blessings and love. Sherry 🥰 🙏 💞
Always enjoy seeing everyone at the Garden Center. The clematis are beautiful and love Japanese Maples.
Laura and Aaron, I’m going on 3 yrs watching your channel thank you for keeping it real and interesting. You and your family have a gift to inspire a gardener at any level. Thank you GA Family
One of my most favorite videos. Really enjoyed watching you and Samantha Grace have a mother-daughter day. Have a good day. Be blessed.
Isn’t it wonderful to have a daughter to go plant shopping with 🥰 Samantha Grace is so sweet 😍 May I suggest some large egg rocks or large river rocks along the edge of your house to eliminate the splash back of the soil. I so enjoy watching your videos everyday. You are so inspiring ❤
Laura, you have a very good eye for scale and proportion. I love what you did to your kitchen patio area. It must be that little slice of heaven each morning❤
Get ‘em gardening while they are young. I love that your kid does help you.
I love the area with the new tree. Those hostas are beautiful! That Japanese maple really fills in the area nicely.
Clematis OF COURSE! I was wondering why you wanted that arbor there for walking through when you ALSO have the beautiful gate...but I forgot that you could put climbing flowerrs on it!! How silly of me! Thanks so much, Laura...
What a great move those three are stunning together
I can't believe how big your kids are getting already. You're just a perfect family. Wouldn't it be great if all the kids of the world got love and attention like yours do. Keep up the good work. And I enjoy watching your videos very much.
That purple clematis at your parents place is absolutely gorgeous!💜 wouldn’t that be wonderful to see where you find a place to pop it in your garden? And, of course, Samantha and Benjamin absolutely made this video❣️
I love your mom. Not negating dad but mum is such a sweet, positive person. Love her to bits.
Clematis, trees (especially redbud) and hosta are my deep love.
What a joyous time of year!
Samantha telling you to "get it, get it" sounds just like your mom whenever you guys go antiquing! 🤣
I love the hostas! They are so refreshing!
So besonders schön...Gute Arbeit liebe Laura ❤❤L.G.Anja from Germany
Love the potting arrangements on the patio. The Japanese maple was the perfect addition to the grouping. The tulips on the table was the “bow” on top. 😊🪴💚
I know you’re all about the garden , which I love but…when you share Samantha with us my heart is so glad to see her. I appreciate you guarding your privacy so thank you so much for these glimpses, you’re truly blessed ❤
Your channel is absolute perfection.
You jump right into the topic. You're informative and interesting. I appreciate your high quality content immensely.
Looked like a perfect day, refreshing beautiful containers with new life, visiting your parents at their amazing garden center, and the best part of all: Samantha Grace, assisting from start to finish. ♥️
Benjamin has learned well from his mom. House looks very nice with the new paint job.
Laura, i 've been following your channel years ago in Indiana. Now i'm in Florida and still enjoy watching your positivity, good heart and hard work. And your children, raised so well by wonderful parents and it shows!
Thank you!
Such a sweet, mama daughter planting day. Samantha is really liking planting more and more, Benjamin has been planting for about 3 years now. Samantha Grace saying "get it" made the trip to the garden center even more memorable. Beautiful setting of the pots and the plants. Did yall pick up a couple more of the white clematis? Everything looks so very beautiful. Great video.❤
Would you ever consider having a raised flower bed created between where you park your trucks and the garden? It would make it more defined. Love the maple trees in pots!
Laura and Aaron, you newly painted house just looks gorgeous. So happy for you all and all the projects you have going. Sending love from Kentucky!!❤
So nice seeing Samantha interacting with you in planting and shopping for new plants. Love the new red maple and the hostas which make that area look wonderful. Although you have no place to move your grill, it does seem hidden somewhat and doesn't deflect from the plants.
Samantha looks so sweet with her braids, swinging her legs and coloring. What a beautiful little one.
Awwwww. Little Samantha hanging with momma. Grandma n grandpa are the best. For a moment there I imagined you Laura, running in as a little girl to. I love the Japanese maple trees. That little patio area is peaceful. I love the idea for the flower bed. That will be amazing. Be blessed. See ya'all in the next one!!💜💜🌿🌿🪴🪴🌳🌳🌳
I had the same thought imagining little Laura. And she’s teaching Samantha the same things she learned along the way. Passing down the knowledge and gift of flower care. Love it!❤
Another fun day with Laura ❤
I’ve been looking forward to your videos everyday I watch them first thing in the morning before getting up to see what your latest project is. I love how your children are showing interest of what’s going on in the garden and try to help. You should give them each a pot to plant with something they like and let them plant it
It was so fun watching Samantha and Benjamin playing. They’re so cute. Love the pots and it makes me want to plant up more of my pots. We have freezing temps here in north Iowa for a few days so planting will have to wait for a while yet. It’s hard to believe your just as north as we are and your planting stuff out already. Have a great day.
Everything looks so fresh for Spring. I’m so happy that you’re enjoying simpler groupings. There’s a sense of peace that emanates from less crowding. Your outdoor space looks just like a nice cafe I’d want to visit. Great job!!!
Laura, maybe put up a tall piece of white lattice between the post and your house and grow something up it to block the grill area. It would look nice with your freshly painted house.
Thank you for all the inspiration ❤
Good morning all have a safe and blessed day ❤️
Beautiful children. Beautiful garden.
Beautiful videos.
Thank you.
❤❤❤❤
Great choice of plants for those pots, love everything about your videos, never get tired of watching,I also enjoyed watching when the children get involved and help with your projects, they are so adorable.
Thank you
Samantha Grace is such a cutie.❣️....she's so sweet drawing beside you and we can see she loves helping... a touch of nostalgia for my own grown-up cutie this morning... :)))..👵🏻Lovely plantings Laura
You and your family are so real! It is such a joy watching all of you and I have learned so much from your vast knowledge! Thank you so much for sharing your passion and your wonderful family with all of us!
I STILL can see a 4bay garage ..where the raised garden. Is ….for parking …it all looks SO COZY ..great job ..great look …LAURA , YOUR GENIUS 🥰
I love those planters! They could stand alone in the garden and make a beautiful statement , but the choices you made brings them to life. Im going to try and find the hosta w the curly leaves...a must have ❤i totally enjoyed everything with you and Samantha on your outings to the garden shop...gdma and gdpa are such treasures 😍you all are so blessed to have each other 🙏🏻 thank you for sharing with us 😊
O Laura, what a wonderful video with mother daughter time! Purple clematis for sure would be beautiful.
Enjoyable seeing the children with mom! That corner is so pretty! The plants are just so lovely!❤
The clematis is absolutely beautiful!! The clematis at Andrew's are beautiful also.😊
Yes they were! I’d have such a hard time deciding which ones to get…😅
I just loved it too! The simple projects around the house give me joy watching you do them just as much as the big projects do. It brought back memories of you doing little projects here and there around the house and the original property when you guys first moved there. What a nice day you had with Samantha.. she’s getting so big, the time just flows right on by… ♥️🥹
How can you resist Samantha's, "Get it! Get it!"❤ When my girl was her age, her saying was. "I need that!"😂
I love seeing the kids be interested in planting! Also Benjamin sneaking up on you was hilarious and the editing made me laugh :)
Just such a fresh start. The beautiful greenery with a splash of color is so refreshing after what we call here in upstate NY as the brown season. It’s alway uplifting when all the trees and bushes start greening out. That makes for a beautiful area to enjoy a nice sit down.
Beautiful time with your beautiful daughter and perfect trees 💕 love the containers flowers beautiful choice 💞❣️
Samantha with her little hair braids…so dang cute!!!
We watch Garden Answer every evening. I appreciate that Laura shows her successes in the garden as well as those not so successful. It makes us feel better when not all our plants turn out perfectly and what we might do better next time.
Samantha is just THE CUTEST!!! I always enjoy seeing her hanging out with Laura🥰❤️ Too bad about those Blue Cascade hydrangeas, I wonder if they would have been ok if they had been stored in the greenhouse over winter? I have bad luck with mop head hydrangeas, I think I’m going to only plant Annabelle types and panicle hydrangeas from now on.
I planted a bare root Guernsey Cream Clematis in my zone 7b/8a in South Carolina. This was its second year and it was gorgeous! I wish I could send you a picture. The spent flower heads are a beautiful shiny golden silver. I plan to deadhead after it finishes blooming so I get another bloom in the late summer, early fall. I have followed you for years and have learned so much from your channel. Thank you for sharing!!
The clematis is such a beautiful plant. The blossoms are amazing! I have always liked Japanese Maples. They are also a beautiful tree. Samantha is growing up so quickly and so is Benjamin. Your children are so cute and seem to love helping you and Aaron with your projects. Enjoy your weather today. It is only 45 degrees here in central Massachusetts right now at 8:45AM. The high is only going to be 49 degrees.
I LOVE the independent gardening decisions that Benjamin makes-adding the flowers to the boxwood pot b/c “there was too much space”, 😂, and love that you allow him the freedom to do that, and give him the credit due for his work! Looks like Samantha “claimed” the pretty viola/pansy of Benjamin’s for herself, during your repotting though, I see! 😉
Your hostas are so pretty! I think I'll put hostas in my front porch planters this year. I just moved to an area near Seattle where they thrive. Samantha is precious. I loved seeing her grandparents joy when she walked into the room. Thanks for your garden inspiration. God Bless!
Laura you are De Queen of container.. You also are my first You tuber gardening channels!! So many years ago still my favorite!
Yes!! Love ur idea of the tree and mirroring the other side. Love love it!!
Love your channel ❤ I look forward to "hi guys! How's it going?" 😊 Your children are a delight, and you have a magical life! That's because you and Aaron are so positive! ❤❤❤ thank you for my morning energy blast 🎉❤
The new paint on the house is great. The new Japanese Maple is beautiful and all the containers in that area look so nice. Such a fun video and love the bonus of getting a glimpse of all the beautiful plants at Andrews Seed. Have a blessed day everyone.
Love the garden and the family, great channel.
Well done Samantha! ❤
What a lot of beautiful plants and tree you got today at your parents garden centre. Just love a maple tree. I have a big maple in my garden and it's just a beautiful tree. Just love going to your parents garden centre as you have such a beautiful family so glad you take us along with you. And so lovely you been with Samantha grace today. Love the area near your kitchen with the fresh new planted pots just beautiful. I have the same clematis you have planted today. I have had mine for 3 years now and mine just loves the sun. Lovely big flowers l get. So be lovely to see how your does.
Love the color of the creeping jenny as an understory plant with the Bloodgood maple! Nice black and white tableau on the patio with the chairs and table. Nice work!
All inspiring, you are such a great gardener! Thanks for all the tips on panting, there is nothing better then being surrounded by beautiful plants and creating a place where family and friends can gather. Hugs!
Good Morning! 🌷 All those plants are going to be so happy in their new homes!! I love your excitement when you are at Garden Center! Everything looks so refreshed & beautiful! 😃🥰🌷🌳🪴🌿
This is a perfect setting for my north shady corner with your Bloodgood Japanese Maple in a pot 🥰. Your videos are so helpful !!!! This has been a problem spot for us for years , and YOU solved it !!!!! Thank you ❤️
Samantha is getting so big!! Yay spring is here!!
Samantha is turning out to be a very cute little gardener. Love the hostas, mine are just breaking ground. A fun tip for clematis, plant 2 colors together so as they grow the 2 colors intermix, I've done this for several years and it is so pretty. I think Benjamin and Samantha would would love it.
I am waiting every day for your videos, you are wonderful to do these for us!! Thank you for doing all these videos! I love them all and learning all the teach me!
Gosh, Samantha is sooo big now, time really does fly😊
