I’m about to plant 10 Butterfly bushes on my property and I’m so excited! And may I say Samantha Grace’s take on life is everything…always dress in style, take time to stop and smell the flowers and kiss the statues…and sing your way through the day! ❤

Oh my goodness. Samantha was the hit of the video today. ♥️♥️♥️. I was drinking my morning coffee, watching your video and the mailman delivered my kneeling pad. It is amazing. I immediately kneeled down on it with my 70 year old knees and it is amazing. I can’t wait to get out in my garden with it. Thank you so much.

At 66 years old, my energy has dissipated to the point that a lot of gardening doesn’t get done anymore. I am at the point where I am resting on my laurels of gardening wins. Yes, i do mostly container gardening at age 65. My next challenge is my grass. Its filled with violets, which some find pretty, but i love lush grass. I did have an above ground pool in the back yard that is now gone as is the wonderful deck that was built around it. My sons worked and worked and got it out but under the pool was a large (15x30) layer of sand that needs some soil on top to grow nice grass. Im just taking it in stages. This year while planting my pots, i noticed a large number of carpenter bees but haven't found a nest. In previous years they put a hole in my picnic bench. I dont want them attacking my deck. In the next few weeks i have a new shed, a new fence, and a retaining wall going in so right now theres alot on my plate. I planted plants around my shed last year without thinking that would make the rotting worse so maybe next year ill build boxes. Anyway, thats my simple gardening. Im 4 blocks from the water in Maryland. It used to be a lovely yard but years of no time from working, raising 4 kids, spending weekends at sporting events or dance events let the yard get out of hand. Im trying to get it back. Last year I planted mini skirt hostas, lilys of the valley, and peonies. They all came back this year along with 3 other plants I didnt keep the labels for. I have one gardenia bush and another hydrangea to put in the ground but this weekend and next i really hope to assemble my greenstalk and plant strawberries, mint, and jalapeños. My son is growing tomatoes but not in. The greenstalk. i also Have bee balm seeds, wild flower seeds, and cleome seeds. And finally, i nipped trumpet flower pods from the lady I care fors neighbor and im going to see if i can grow them. Thats it from Annapolis Maryland⚘️🏵🌸

My goodness. The whole area with the Heebee statue is soooo beautiful. That Russian Hawthorn is gorgeous. All the creeping Veronica is amazing. I remember in videos 3yrs ago I remember you saying Laura, your planting on Mars. Again looking at the whole area is just breath taking. The kiddos are sooo cuuuute. I only started gardening during Lock Down and searched for videos to learn and found You. Been watching ever since. It’s still a life lesson of patience for me. I have a vision in my mind but plants take time to grow and fill out and bloom. 😏 I have killed many plants over the years but I am determined to get green thumbs. 👍🏽💚 Thank you for sharing your knowledge
Same here! I found gardening videos, and then the gardening itself, to be a calming element during the stress of lockdowns/early COVID time. I have NO patience though haha! But it’s a fun process 😊

Love how Benjamin and Samatha love helping you in garden. They learn so much about your garden and retain all the knowledge you are teaching them. I remember babysitting my twin grandsons and every summer as soon as I’d start digging in the garden they’d have their little noses in the holes I was digging looking for worms or the rolly roly polys. They called worms squirmy wormies
and announced each find they made. It kept them busy for hours, and we all had lots of fun. 😍 😍

We had a weeping willow when I was a child, and I remember putting my doll furniture under it and pretending it was my house.
Oh my gosh, same! I had a “fort” under our willow & would spend hours there. The rest of my family would be enjoying our swimming pool and doing other activities, but I preferred to be under the willow tree by myself. 😊
That grass drop behind as you say,'the cooling green gives you something to rest your eyes on' is so lush and so green. I love this time of year when the green color pigment in all plants looks so vibrant and peaceful. Or as you mentioned,'cool and at rest.' ❤

I cant believe how the prices in our nursery here went up this year!! Shrubs that were 35.00 and 40.00 last year are 50. and 60.00.this year! I am SO glad I filled my beds several years ago !!😮
😐 Seen a landscape designer use a raised bed area to develop a source for shrub plantings....so u assume she let them get to a certain height, pull to where want them and replant the nursery bed. 🌱🌲 Wonder if wildfires affected any companies
Kid's play area is going to look amazing. How about decorating the play house with flower boxes? Maybe add a small covered picnic area, cute benches for the kids and their own little gardening area where they can grow their own plants? Lots of peonies and hydrangeas and canopy trees and flower planters. And of course a sandbox with a lid so that the cats can't into them. A path around the play area so they can bicycle and have fun. Love what you do for your kids. ps. don't forget the hopscotch 🤩

Both myself and my daughter grew up hiding under the willow trees. Reading, resting, fantasizing. They are a great hideaway for kids.

I love my MM Penstemon! It is definitely a favorite in my perennial garden! I love seeing the sweet little souls in your babies! What a blessing to grow up surrounded by so much love and beauty!
Immediately sold on the Penstemon. So much so that I picked some up from a local nursery yesterday.

I feel for you Laura! It is hard to see your precious plants be damaged! ❤ I have the same problem in the south of Sweden. Days are warm and then suddenly you have frost or a real freeze during the night/early hours in the morning. Horrible for all your plants! One year it looked like someone had a big Bunsen burner and burned the whole garden, everything was brown. So all buds were destroied! Everything came back nothing died but the wisteria and everything else early flowering did not flower that year 😢
just watched video from north Finland Saana Varna, talk about old man's bearded moss that grow from trees and wanting spring to arrive. I do like when sun brightens up snow covered landscape, so beautiful. Hard about blossums lost from freezes and fruit plants 🏂🎸🎶
