    Good informative video that will apply to most all 1911’s. Well done. !
    You could improve your presentation by studying the actual names of the parts.
    Keep up the good work

    I actually really like the take down on this gun. Its a full length guide rod but you can disassemble without tools. I want a girsan so bad lol

    This is a good video for those who are not familiar with the 1911 takedown and reassembly. However, it would be nice if you learned the correct nomenclature of the parts. It's also unnecessary to use the wooden block to brace the slide if you leave the hammer down when depressing the recoil spring plug. Once the plug has been removed, cock the hammer and retract the slide to remove the slide stop.

    I got the MC 1911 SC Untouchable today and none of the videos I can find have the same style teardown. I can get the slide off and back on but can't figure out how to break it down Amy farther to clean it

    Hey could you do a full disassembly and reassembly on a Girsan SC1911MC Officer? I can't find any videos on how to clean this gun. I'm a Newby to guns. Much appreciated. Thank You

      It disassembles the same as this one does. Just follow this video and you’ll be good.

    I don't like to criticize videos but in this case because we all have to start somewhere...
    Terminology is everything in making good videos.
    It is a "Barrel Bushing" not a barrel nut...
    The "Grooves" are the "slide stop notch" and the smaller one is the "take down notch" or "disassembly notch", depending on who you ask 😉.
    From the title I thought it was going to be a full disassembly or breakdown of the whole pistol...what you did is a "Field Stip" or cleaning takedown...just saying 😉👍.

      And no I'm not perfect either...I've done it myself and got roasted for it...just trying to help you do better..you have good potential.

    Looking from disassembling Girsan MC1911 Elite Match which does not have barrel nut! Has bull barrel! Can’t get the spring to release!

    • @DefenseTrainingSC
      @DefenseTrainingSC  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You should be able to take the slide off and push the guide rod and spring all the way forward and then push the bushing back and it should release. You may have to use something to help push the bushing back.

    This is the only reason why I don’t like a 1911 style. It’s so complicated to disassemble! So….I opted for a Glock!😜😅🤪😄
