Love seeing some familiar faces!
Hi
I loved seeing Iroh when this episode came out. Happy New year! 🥺
Happy new year 🎊
I love your reacts
Nice video happy new years Eve
"It's a Pheonix"
"Naw it's a Dragon"
Me: "Haven't you learned anything from this show? It's BOTH!!!"
Exactly what I thot 🤣.
Thanks for addressing the elephant-rhino in the room
I'm pretty sure the only two non-hybrid animals in the entire franchise are Bosco and Miyuki. 😆

The only reason Iroh was able to just leave his body like that is because he was like jinora and had a strong connection to the spiritual world its not something just anyone can do
Yea there were tons of instances where iroh was able to see spiritual stuff. Like aang riding rokus dragon, him trying to save the moon spirit, lying to protect the last dragons

The first Avatar's name has a couple of meanings. Aside from Wan sounding like One, Wan is also Mandarin Chinese for 10,000 - as in, the 10,000 years between the first Avatar and Korra. That can also be heard in the name of the owl/knowledge spirit, Wan Shi Tong (which means "He who knows ten thousand things").
Now I'll pass my avatar 101 finals xD Nerd
So, is the avatar worlds history literally 10,000 years old? Cause i kinda feel like if its literal it should be longer, considering how many potential avatars there might be. Askin cause 10,000 is a common ancient expression to mean a long time
@@PaintedHoundie Most fans seem to believe it's literally 10,000 years old, but I disagree myself. For one, it's not at all clear that the 10,000 number for harmonic convergence is literal or figurative; it seems very likely to me to be figurative, as you suggest. But even if the period for harmonic convergence does happen to line up with the nice round 10,000 number, it's still entirely possible that there have been multiple harmonic convergences between Wan's time and Korra's, all of them passing without incident. It could well have been 20,000 or 30,000 years since Wan's time.
@@colinhamilton3033 probably. It is also how they decide how a year is in the Avatar world and does it the same as in the Spirit world. Time is a human construct depend on the thing measured against. Eg: Gregorian calender is based on rotation of Earth around the Sun!(Solar year) while others use the moon (Lunar year).
The Mandarin Wan can also be used as a phrase meaning “a lot” or “an infinite amount”

I feel that the big reason why Korra´s emotions shape the spirit world so drastically is the fact that Raava is within her. I don´t think just anyone feeling angry in there would actually turn the spirits around her.
Unalaq physically entered the spirit world, which is why he was able to bend. Korra mediated into the spirit world, so she was only a projection and couldn't bend. Seeing as how Jinora is her granddaughter in a weird kind of way, I don't blame her for choosing to save Jinora and opening the spirit portal. Vaatu can't escape until harmonic convergence anyway.
That some knowledge and id like when people hate korra but i understand it
Also even if there are deaths in LOK, nick wouldn’t have let a kid die, so it’s kinda stupid to blame Korra for saving a kid.
i mean she could be related to a bunch of people by that logic
@@sirmel11 Well smartass, besides that reason, why the hell would she have let a little girl die if she could prevent it? Then you would've been dragging her for that.

"If you wanna get clapped by Tenzin, that's your business"
"But my degrees!"
Mans PURE comedy.
Choosing between the fate of the world and effectively family is not something any person should have to do, you can't blame her for saving Jinora. Also, the world isn't dead just yet.
And besides jinora is amazing and a kind hearted sweet girl, daughter of someone she cares about a lot, not only as a mentor, but practically family, I don't blame her. She didn't really have any other option, that or get attacked over and over cause she wouldn't be able to do much other than dodge and run out the portal, but then jinora dies
And come on let's face it I don't even avatar kyoshi would sacrifice a child she personally knows to keep the world safe
See, Wan Shi Tong, that's what happens when you get your information from Fox News.

Lmao ghost stories!
Even he's dead, iroh is still giving wisdow to all who need it
he's dead but can't pass on his daily portions of tea
I liked the way how the dragon swatted away Korra's uncle like a freaking mosquito 🤣🤣😂😂
Fun fact: the dragon bird didn't turn evil because it was based on Chinese lore; in which dragons are incorruptible
I like to think Iroh just walked into the spirit world and never left; like he was meditating or closing up the tea shop or something and something drew him into the spirit world; like the voice of his son or something. Like how at the end of Klaus, Klaus is all like super-old and he follows the voice of his wife on the winter winds and disappears into the snow. Also, something that was always interesting with Iroh here was that he's dressed in Earth Kingdom garb and he's at his tea shop in Ba Sing Se; like that was where he felt most at home and at peace after everything he went through.
Seeing uncle iroh just gives me a warm feeling yk
“Bro thats the highest hue of red that’s how you know it’s evil.”
Iroh is a very spiritual person. Thats y he was able to pass on like a Jedi. The archeologists in the library wasnt a spiritual person at all but he died doing what he loved.
"It's time to put her in a facility" lmao
15:47 Korra drinking her own 10,000 year old sweat.
I can't believe it, I literally just said this RIGHT before scrolling to see this comment.
iroh's advice to Korra about finding the light within herself parallels a similar piece of advice he gave Aang in "The Crossroads of Destiny", about finding the light at the end of a dark tunnel.
Jinora coming across Professor Zei's skeleton is similar to Aang finding Gyatso's in "The Southern Air Temple".
The circular design in the book Jinora looks through before asking a Knowledge Seeker for help is the same one used in the Book Two: Spirits trailer from the 2013 San Diego Comic Con.
This episode bears many similarities to "The Library", which was also the tenth episode of the second book of the first series. Both feature Wan Shi Tong and his library, as well as the abduction of a close companion of the Avatar that leaves them in tears.
Everything accurate, though I don't agree with the second point.
Aang saw the skeleton of someone he loved, Jinora saw the skeleton of some guy she read about.
@@scientia.veritas I was just pointing out we have a young airbender finding the remains of an older individual
I could physically feel Tenzin punching the air when he learned Jinora is the spiritual one of the family.
The great thing is this was kinda foreshadowed with Iroh being able to see Roku and Aang fly by on a dragon. We knew all the way back in ATLA that Iroh had a connection to the spirit world as he could see spirits like Jinora.
"If you look for the light, you will often find it. But if you look for the dark, that is all you will ever see."
Iroh still spittin straight facts
The strange thing is if Korra and Jinora did nothing then Vatu never would've escaped.
I feel like the recurring theme of Legend of Korra is that the world doesn't actually need an Avatar. Korra takes way more loses than wins and her villains have a greater affect on the world than she does.
But they didn't know that, jinora only knew that unalaq needed the 2 portals open after they got into the spirit world, and then she got caught and korra had to open the second one, if they knew that u need the 2 portals to release vaatu i'm sure they wouldn't even enter the spirit world
Aldridge517 You could argue that it’s a theme for many avatars. Kyoshi didn’t need to create the Dai Li and it created more problems than it solved. Aang didn’t need to be a pacifist, it created more problems than it solved. So many avatars in trying to do their avatar duty create more problems. Like Yang Chen bringing peace to the world but fucking up the spirit world. Or Kuruk balancing the spirit world but fucking up the material world.
@@crystalwang1532 I wouldn't say the world doesn't need the avatars, more like the avatar does not need to be at the forefront of every problem. Their are definitely times in all the avatars lives where they were needed.
Korra: _Tells in detail every event that had happened in season 2 up to that point_
Tenzin: (caressing his goatee) "Just as I suspected"
Well Aang and Katara and Sokka did betray Wan Shi Tong's trust so I'm with the owl on this
@ULTIMATE TROLL they have lied to the owl that they weren't gonna use the knowledge to defeat the fire nation I'm sticking up for the owl if they would of told him the truth he wouldn't have tried to attack the gang
Wan Shi Tong is right to distrust humans. Zhao burned down a significant part of his library and the Gaang betrayed his trust. They had good intentions but they used knowledge to fight a war. Even if they were the "good guys". But in war the only true victor is death.
yeah the owl actually is being pretty nice still. he still allowed humans to read his stuff bc having knowledge is like the most important thing to him but once they lied to him he obviously is going to be suspicious. he was still very nice.
BUT WAIT, MY DEGREES!!!!!! 😂😂😂😂😂 I’m cracking up
Look your daughter died... BUT I SAVED THE WORLD “¯\_(ツ)_/¯“
Also IROH! Everyone NEEDS an Iroh in their life
Iroh would have been so mad if she did that
RIP to Iroh's VA, they had another guy voice him in Korra, and in a way, it still went alright, I guess you could call him a "spiritual" successor?

Lol they said "Happy New Years" and dropped 2 episodes from Korra, Haikyu and Re:Zero, thank youuuu
The reason Unalaq could spirit "bend" Jinora is because that was her projection in the spirit world, he physical body was left back on Earth
Episode 10 is the episode I was waiting for y'all to watch and so was episode 9. I screamed when I saw it pop up in my recommendations LOL!
That’s a piece of carbage, funniest fucking quote
"That's like the highest hue of red" 22:51
Unalaq is channeling Ozai. "You failed to capture the Avatar" He's trying to reach Vatu so he can become the Anti-avatar.
Jinora realizes that the wooden carving she was drawn to in "The Southern Lights" is a depiction of Wan and Raava.
Double ep Korra upload? Happy New Year 🎊
Also nice, Lupa called the Dark Avatar
a reason why korras emotions effected the spirit world and spirits so much is because you have to remember that ravva is in her and shes literally partly the embodiment of all things good
I think this is the best reaction channel out there lol. The editing is subtle but hilarious
Sheera&Lupa: Let Jinora die so the portal stays closed!
How would Aang have decided? Imagine, guy was literally to kind to kill fire Hitler who was trying to kill him. :/
Dude was probably reading 'Eat, Pray, Love' cause he was getting none of that mate...
Iroh decided to leave his mortal body behind in order to live among the spirits in the Spirit World.
Unalaq uses spiritbending to convert the positive energy within a spirit into negative energy, corrupting them in the process
i just wondered about if korra (as she likes visiting the spirit world) that she'd do the same as iroh when getting old but i think then raava would also be there instead in the human world where she'd had to be with the new avatar.
Iroh has been the connection this whole time! HIS TEA POT!!!!!!!!!!!! ITS THE MUFUCKIN TEA POT!,,,
Roshi’s attitude towards Tenzin this whole episode: shut up -.-
@ULTIMATE TROLL nah roshi is right, Tenzin needed to suck up his pride and let his daughter do what she needs to.
Nah, he was right. Tenzin’s entire character arc in this show is learning to overcome his pride as “The Successor of Aang” and learn to just be himself.
But I also get where Tenzin is coming from, it was very dangerous, and he ended up being right she got fucked up
3:02 lmao love the hilarious edits you guys do😂
OKKKK Lupa I see you snatching Sheera’s wig with the accurate predicts 2:02
Remember Iroh's speech about finding the light in the dark. It foreshadows what happens in the finale.
23:20 - 23:37
This moment sums them up so well.
The whale spirit seen flying when Korra and Jinora enter the Spirit World was among the spirits fleeing from Raava and Vaatu's fight in "Beginnings, Part 1" and was later among the spirits led by the aye-aye spirit against Jaya and other humans in "Beginnings, Part 2".
Iroh uses a teapot that once belonged to Avatar Wan, which the latter used to carry Raava's weakened form prior to the second Harmonic Convergence in "Beginnings, Part 2".
Professor Zei's skeletal remains are seen in Wan Shi Tong's Library, where he decided to stay despite the structure's submergence in "The Library".
Wan Shi Tong declares that the Avatar is not a friend to the spirits, a result of Aang's betrayal of his trust during their previous encounter.
That's second and third point was mentioned, and they knew right?
They were more shocked seeing that researcher than Iroh
Been watching alot of reaction videos of Avatar & Legend but your channel is like watching these 2 series i love with my boys - speculating & clowning certain scenes - wait till you see the last 2 books!

No lie, I thought the bird was being more chill after aang and the gang beat him down last time 🤣
I like how, almost from jump, Sheera was over the fact that almost everyone in the show took turns holding the idiot ball in Book 2. 😆
Iroh being in the spirit realm is no surprise. He could also see them while still alive in the show. AND they even hint at the idea that one of the reasons he changed his ways is because he went on a spirit journey during the war.

Wan means 10000 in Chinese. He was the avatar 10000 years ago
Aang could've at least made sure Tenzin knew how to go in and out of the spirit world through meditation. like, what would they have done if Jinora wasn't naturally gifted?
