The man gets by on raw charisma and audacity. He’s brilliant, that and his eccentricity helps, but he carries himself in a way that just makes him an unstoppable force.

@@coltonwilliams4153verick is one of the most dangerous characters imaginable when it comes to imagining his D&D stats. Cuz I say it's ALL 20s in intelligence, charisma, and wisdom. The reason that his wisdom is so high is because he knows to intentionally be crazy and kooky, we see times where he fully drops that and I feel that's the real varic coming through sometimes and he just knows implicitly to keep up that facade so that no one realizes how much of a threat he can actually be
You can tell Korra’s fighting reflects her father’s style. They both are just head on and all offense
They face things head on like Earthbenders. That is why Korra had trouble with Airbending.

Yeah poor Mako was in the WORST position with Asami and Korra both forcing themselves on him. And he’s not a bad boyfriend to either! Emotionally stupid, but had he been in a relationship with either in his 20’s he would’ve been a keeper. Because fundamentally a relationship with Asami or Korra did work. He anchored the headstrong girls. (Not that I disagree with where it turns out)

@@PxndaCakes yeah hormonal teenagers in a cult war, on top of the 2 most powerful girls forcing themselves on him doesn’t normally yield good results. But he’s as guilty as the other 2 for similar reasons. Korra had even less hormonal control, and Asami chose the WORST time to be jealous even though it was obvious. She had other methods available to her in that predicament.
Bolin got knocked the heck out as a result. At least he kept a strong relationship with a definite keeper later.
yeah Mako was in a lose-lose. In the end going along with Korra was the best option. Its clear the girl had been through a lot and went to him for comfort. Even though I feel for Asami but I can't blame Mako this time.
If he told Korra what happened after she left (as she's getting attacked he went and got back with his ex) I have little doubt that she would have beat his ass into the ground. Everyone would have gave him props for telling the truth though.

The Wan episodes get all the attention, but Bolin fighting along side his movie character is such an underrated animation scene in general.
I can understand Asami not wanting to see Mako in prison. Her dad, the only person she really trusted with her life, betrayed her and winded up in jail.

@@theawesomeman9821 I'm not denying that Mako's relationships are, for the most part, failures, but in that situation it was extremely embarrassing.
Everyone knows that these two had an argument and broke up, and she just said that her memories are a bit messy after getting attacked by a dark spirit. If Mako had said that they'd discuss it later, when everyone else wasn't being so nosy, then it would've been one thing.
I mean, in my mind anyway, Asami was pretty much there as a backup.
Mako and Asami are in a relationship.
Mako and Korra kiss.
Mako and Korra confess to each other, which ended his relationship with Asami.
Book 2 comes around, Mako and Korra are *still* in a relationship 6(?) months later (how long was the time skip again?).
Mako and Korra have an argument and break up.
Mako helps Asami and Asami kisses him.
Korra regains memories (some of them) and doesn't realize they broke up.
Korra was Mako's main girl, even when he was in a relationship with Asami. Mako said he loved her when she was at one of the lowest points of her life, and it was leading up to it.
Asami needed some type of companionship after her company was robbed. Unfortunately she chose the one guy that *just* got out of a relationship with Korra for who knows how long.
Honestly, the entire situation isn't *just* Mako's fault.
Korra was wanting to put Mako's job on the line. While understandable, it was unfair of her.
Mako shouldn't have continued his relationship with Asami. Whether it was out of pity or because he really liked her, it was too soon after his break up with Korra if I'm remembering time skip lengths correctly.
Asami shouldn't have pursued Mako the way she did. Kissing him out of desperation when she found out she was robbed was a pretty poor decision, especially when you know that he was in a relationship with another girl, your friend, not too long ago.
So yeah, the whole situation is pretty garbage, but Mako isn't the only one to blame for the mess that it's in, at least in my opinion.

What I love about Korra, is that it shows just how brutal the other elements can be. Water especially early on. Earth towards the end, and a special one in the center 😉

Varrick funded the construction of the police headquarters in Republic City; he had lavish prison cell specially built, feeling that he would end up in prison at some point during his life.
If you looked up the words “charisma” and “audacity” in the dictionary, you’d find pictures of Varric under both.

Y'all tripping on Bolin, I actually really love his character. He's very good, he's a good person. Sometimes he makes mistakes but he catches on eventually and he's a very skilled earth bender and he's super sweet. They are all very strong characters.
At this point in the show we were all really frustrated with Bolin. They haven't finished the show at this point yet so of course they don't know the man that he truly is. Bolin was a real ass hat in this episode.

I mean his whole arc was basically just filler. Nothing involving Republic city did a damn thing against Unalaq or Vaatu or anything. You could’ve literally cut this whole and Mako’s subplot out of the plot and nothing changes once Korra comes back.

@Elliepopcorn Trust....I know.....I was watching Korra when it first dropped...and I remember being so disgusted with the animation of Perrot I had to see when Mir would return...still remembering the order...Episodes 1-6 was Perrot Mir came back for beginnings 7-8 Perrot's 7th and final episode was 9 and Mir was back for good with Episodes 10-14 and Books 3-4... I appreciate Perrot for stepping up though because. Nickelodeon was playing effing games by having them wait to see if they would do a Book 2 and Mir got tied up doing something else...

Instead of focusing on long series which they aren't sure whether or not a network will fully back them in the long run, they could just do animated movies for different avatars in different periods of time. They can choose familiar ones like Kyoshi, or completely unknown ones. They'll get more creative flexibility that way, without having to touch the plot of ATLA or LOK, and probably make enough profit going off the series' popularity alone.

I’m glad you mentioned Zuko, he basically did a lot of stuff Korra does (based on their personalities) and he does not get near close the bad treatment for doing them as she gets. 😵

Rather than trying to conceal the ship, it was intended to make it confusing to determine its class, speed, and direction of travel in the optical rangefinders used at the time.

In the The Adventures of Nuktuk: Hero of the South finale, Evil Unalaq's plans to rule the world after creating a new ice Earth. Unalaq's real plan, as revealed in "Harmonic Convergence", is to lead the world into a new era where spirits and humans are not separated and to become one with Vaatu.
Asami is smart enough to not blame Korra in any of these situations. She knows makos being a snake rn

It's crazy to think that waterbenders have the benefit of having "earthbending" without even needing earth. If you can turn water in milliseconds to rock hard ice, then you basically have the benefits of earthbending without needing to be near earth. That alone already makes it deadly enough on it's own, but then you have the added factor of potentially drowning your opponent by just waterlogging them in heavy blasts over and over again.
