Worst thing the show did was having Dr. Psycho leave the team, his personality balances out the team.

The one thing that made the show was the group and now it's gonna be impossible to bring that back even in season 4 because of season 3 they are all separated now, they should have either ended it at season 2, taken more time to figure out what they wanted to do or not gotten rid of the original writer. I just Wana pretend season 3 never even happened

@@youshouldbeconcerned blame the show runners for putting the focus on Ivy Quinn relationship which took away from the group and the overall quality of the show. It should have been saved for the last season or something. Tbh it should have just lasted half a season considering Quinn too toxic to be in a relationship with anyone lol

I agree. He brought a lot to the group dynamic being the straight guy/ jerk/ occasional punching bag. Clay face has gotten more annoying while king shark just feels like a third wheel to everything going on around him. Even his own story felt like a sub tier b plot.

I LOVED the first two seasons but afterwards it was painfully obvious that if a male character exists, it has to be an idiot.
I love strong female leads. But when the show / movie makes it its sole mission to make every male character an idiot, it's distracting.
I stopped watching after I saw them butcher Nightwing's character, on top of that, the fact that Nightwing and Batgirl instantaneously were treated like sidekicks to the clown was was the final straw for me.

He loved the control he had over Harley. Since they met when she was in control and he wasn’t (as doctor and patient), it felt so good to have someone put themselves at your feet. Especially molding that someone to your liking. Most abusers can never really let go of the power trip controlling people gives them, and never see their victims as equals. When he “fell inlove” for a second time, it didn’t have anything to do with his ego or narcissism.

But by the end, having Harley and Ivy blow up several buildings in a mass terrorist attack and probably killing at least a few people… Just to have Superman say Harley is a hero just disgusted me. I disagree. If anything, she's only a bad guy to begin with because of her abusive relationship with Joker. Without him, she isn't really intimidating or a bad person. Except maybe the Arkham games where she keeps grieving after he dies. Overall, she should be allowed to move on from him since it's a key part of her development.
Does this mean I agree with how the show portrays her? Not really. For some reason they replace her bubbly personality with a more agressive and ironically rational by the show's standards behavior that I just can't get behind. It's like they want her to be Deadpool but for DC and I just can't see why. You have a good character on your hands, use her. I'm sure there are ways to make it work.

It felt like there was no character development. It's like the writers got every character to where they wanted them by the end of S2 that they just had no idea where to take the characters from here.

And now coming to Harley part, I don't understand how they established her as a hero at the end. Apart from the Bruce Wayne part and the zombie part she was an all out villain to me. And apart from Harley, Ivy and some "STRONG FEMALE" characters they made every other characters dumb and cringy. I liked Season 1 and halfway upto season 2 and from there onwards it was pure garbage. I don't think I'm gonna watch season 4 at all.

So much potential wasted. The idea of Bruce having a reverse repressed memory was very good, but thing is, this isn't Bruce. They destroyed batman, and made him the total opposite of what he really is and represents. Also, how is it that he trusts Barbara more than a very capable guy that he literally raised (nightwing) to represent batman? That makes no sense at all.
They were spewing the nonsense political talking points every now and then, but the 3rd season was worse. Not a single masculine figure that could do something right, besides the joker, ironically one of the best characters in the show.

  • @Random_Fanatic
    @Random_Fanatic 2 ปีที่แล้ว +21

Honestly, after the Catwoman rant at the "award show" I was basically done. I was able to look over a few other things. Like the lack of good humor. The lack of structure, but then they try to be woke with all the characters and I'm done. The man bun on Swamp Thing actually made me gag a little. Or the way it seems like they're trying a Rick and Morty thing of being "unpredictable" by not doing exactly what we think they should do they think that's "good writing" and it's not. I didn't like the Swamp Thing character introduction and how he seems like a kid and rages when Nora doesn't want a relationship. It was ridiculous. No emotional connection yet Ivy and him apparently bonded at the end of the episode.
I was literally so disappointed with everything even Clayface didn't need the scene where he's pretending to be some actor cause he accidentally killed him. It felt out of place. Nothing seems consistent or planned out.
    What I think should've happened:
Joshua joining Two Face in revenge against Harley cause she killed his dad, or even Amanda Waller. Just anything to make it seem like there's actual suspense and risks for the gang or city. Also maybe the citizens should have enough, and rise up to put an end to the shit storm their city has been due to the power tripping assholes that have tried to "rule the city". Oh how about this new villains come out of the wood work and start causes problems cause a lot of the larger villians got killed off, and they even referenced this during the award ceremony. Then why aren't other villians getting the spotlight?
Instead we get a whole break up song between Bruce and Selena... I did like the song, but I wasn't thrilled about when it was done. It seemed out of place and I honestly didn't care. I thought they made Bruce too much of a gutless soft boi, and I rather him either be less like Gordon or less time spent as just Bruce. Cause they're ruining him like the did everything else. Batman and Bruce are typically cool and here he's clingy, emotionally dependent, has ptsd and doesn't realize it (named the cats after his parents and Selena had to point it out to him and rejected the cats, and then him yet again), and I found all their interactions unwatchable and not funny at all.
    Less sappy shit too.
They keep trying to make the relationship everything as like a blanket to cover the utter disaster that is _season 3._ Just throwing gay moments here and there does not make up for the crappy writing and plot holes. I hate that they're trying so hard to do that. A lot of the problems the characters face are because they created it themselves or because their partner did. And that just seems too over done. A lot of that happened in the previous seasons too. Like how they ended up in the pit with Bane and Harley didn't make her bed according to the rules and was banned from open mic. It just seems silly and stupid. It was funny before, but now the "random-ness" has over stayed its welcome. Or how cause Harley wanted to avoid her feelings for Ivy she earned an army of para-demons and then decided that wasn't what she wanted so the city was overrun with them. So many things happened only cause the characters made it happen and that isn't really entertaining to me cause it's a cheap thing to do. Like how in season 1 she was out with the Joker and the crew found out about it. That was predictable and it irks me because even though Harley keeps saying she's changed and even Ivy says at the end of season 2 that "She's trying." That seems disingenuous, lazy, and downright patronizing to the audience and to the characters themselves cause their words _never_ match their actions.
Harley is violent, manipulative, and none of the seasons for her saw real growth until she tried letting Ivy escape the Pit (while it was on fire) without her. That was one of the only selfless things she had done. Oh and saving Robin when King Shark lost his shit. Usually it's all about her and what she wants to do.
And I say that as a fan of Harley x Ivy, I also bought season 1 dvds, and they just don't know how to write for the characters even though there's several comics to get references or ideas from. And I know, I know there's people who'll go,"But this is a different universe. That's why things are the way they are." Yeah well the show still sucks in any universe. Let people enjoy it if they want, but personally I didn't enjoy it and that's why I watched this video and left my thoughts here too.
I hate sesson 3 and I couldn't keep watching it after the Swamp Thing episode. Highly *disappointed* and I wish they could've done better on season 2 too. I hoped that because it got renewed the show would get better and it obviously didn't.

    • @Random_Fanatic
      @Random_Fanatic 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

Oh P.S.: They should've used _Bane_ *better* instead he's still the butt of all the jokes and no one is taking him seriously. It frustrates me because they could do so much with him, yet they use him as comic relief. I would love it if Bane joined Ivy and Harley's group and they tried taking down Two Face or whoever/Waller by teaming up.
Poor Bane I felt sorry for him in the first season and the second one. In the the third one it's extremely over done and just kinda boring since we already know how the writers like using Bane. Bane had some funny moments when they let him be himself. Like stomping on Aquaman's fish friends or threatening to blow stuff up. I wanna see him actually blow stuff up. Also wasn't he mad a Harley and them? Yet something happen (can't remember) and he ended up not doing anything about it??
Again I totally think Joshua should try getting revenge on Harley for killing his dad (unless that happened and I just didn't watch season 3 to the end). Like Harley should have some consequences for her actions besides the threat of jail time. A lot of season 1 and even some of season 2 was spent in or around jail and breaking out of jail. It no longer holds an interest to me because of how easy it is for them to get out. But in episode one Ivy had to get a plant with the help of the Riddler. Yet later they just go in and out as they please by blowing walls up or whatever.

I had to mute the TV every time Robin spoke, because his voice was torturous to listen to. And not only did Clayface have a terrible voice as well, but it was so annoying how he always went on about acting, and he was way too cheerful for a guy who had gone through as much suffering as he did in the past. And lots of things that other characters, like Gordon and Batman, said or did on the show just weren't like them at all.

Imo it had it’s moments but it had more bad jokes than usual, and they exaggerated Harley’s worst traits while also watering her character down at the same time. And I didn’t appreciate them watering down Batman either for the sake of corny jokes based on Twitter discourse.
Also building up Harlivy so much only to have them constantly at odds was a let down.

I really enjoyed Season 1-2, but Season 3 was just...incredibly weak as a whole. Poison Ivy's plan (the original one, not the zombies) was good. Otherwise...where is Bane? Dr. Psycho is out for good reason, in 1 episode, but then others are also not around that much? People say the show portrays Bruce as an "incel" but his "girlfriend" is also a total bitch, she's not funny at all this season, not even close to the "took poison ivy's jacket right in front of Harley" at all. Joker is the mayor but it basically means nothing past his own episode (easily the best, helped by nods to many including the joaquin pheonix dance/outfit). Jim Gordon does next to nothing, and any new villains pretty much are either used for filler or...aren't really there. The season is only 10 episodes and yet 1/2 is pretty much filler and the two finale episodes well other than Poison Ivy's awesome new design and Lex Luthor's cameo it was kinda boring.
I know this show has elements of parody and satire and that's a selling point here, but this season felt cheap and lazily written. Even if many didn't find it bad, they need to step up the game for Season 4 or else it is going to basically be "Thor 4" when everyone is tired and looks back "shocked" (for some reason) at how there series has majorly declined. Given S4 has been given a go, I hope it is much more like Season 1-2. If not, I'm going to have a hard time bothering to finish it without just giving up and saying "S1-2 is all that happened."
I feel the "new writers" whom apparently were brought into "write harley and ivy better" (they were written just fine, including foreshadowing and a no-brainer they would get together at some point) for the "representation" had no idea how to write anything else besides the relationship and that's why so much of it doesn't land like Season 1-2 did.

Bruce is a total incel and Selina is a bitch. That part is canon. Anyone interested can go read Batman by Tom King or the Batman/Catwoman comics. The show stayed true to their character and relationship as portrayed in the comics. Joker became Mayor in episode 5 and in episode 10 we see him busting Bruce for Tax evasion. What do you mean we don't see more of joker as Mayor after the episode focused on him? You are confused or did yuou just forget what actually happened?

One thing they forgot is that Harley loves no matter what. That's unhealthy itself. She shouldn't love, because in the comics her character has always been unyieldingly forgiving. The very reason she was Ivy's friend is because she never quit trying to be her friend just like her affection with Joker. Ivy had no friends that weren't plants, and ended up caring about Harley as the only one who befriended her. Of course hollywood thinks friendship means gay but that's not the focus.
She cannot love, platonic or romantic in a healthy way. Her relationship with Ivy is no better than Jokers, no matter where its presented.

I'm not a fan of this season, I love Harlivy and wouldn't mind the whole premise is just them having to resolve their relationship problems in this season. But it was handled in a way I cringed at times. This season wasn't bad, but it wasn't good.
I really, really wanted this season to have the side characters shine more. Heck, I wouldn't mind that they killed off my favorite character in this show for comedic relief!
I totally agree on what you said about Nora. Really thought they'd empathize on her grief more this season. I don't mind the drug addict, sex crazed version of her they could've built onto more. I think they were going with having her miss victor so much that she's willing to purposely distract herself from grief, and then have her heal on and off screen. But it could've been handle much better.
Another nitpick of mine... They did batman so wrong, and I don't get why they went with "Pathetic man = Comedy" as I said, there are so many other ways to poke fun at a character without leaning out of the main source. They did this with Gordon, and they're doing it to Bruce and Dick. It was funny when it was Gordon, but now it's kind of repetitive.
Plus, I wanted more bane... Overall I think this season is not bad, but it's not good either. There are things I like about it, like the introduction of golden glider, kiteman, Clayface's acting gig and even though you might not like it, I actually do like shark kings side plot, he's a character I actually want more information of since his concept is very interesting. Loved how the show wrote Catwoman and I love that they're building up Batcat. Love that we got Gay rep (even though I enjoyed Riddler on his own more) and I see how much love was put on this season. I would rate this season a solid 5, and that's all I gotta say. Anyone is free to disagree with me.

Rewatching this right now in preparation for the season 4 review! I really liked the first two seasons, but I think the show became way too self aware to the point that every joke is tiresome or predictable. The balance of good storytelling, character development, and funny humor that were present in seasons 1-2 are just completely gone now. The show was always in-your-face but now it’s so overbearing that the series feels pretentious, as if the writers think they’re more clever and smart for doing so. There are still some solid episodes here and there, but the overall quality feels subpar in comparison to the older episodes. Disagree on the comedy I don’t think comedy needs to be intelligent to be funny
But I do agree on the writing structure being bad
there’s so many things you could do with these characters that can play into the plot but instead I felt like characters where taking up space. For example Bane could have been a part of Harley being a therapist plot and tbh I thought that was being foreshadowed with the depression jokes being made about him. (Since I saw spoilers about Harley no longer being a villain)
I may be biased but I like the relationship harlivy has unfortunately I think the writers are just messing it up I wish they could have explored why Harley’s being so clingy (trauma with joker/family) and feeling the need to go with whatever her partner does so they love her but they kinda skipped over that part and I know it’s the Harley show but we have not gotten an ivy backstory so I have a hard time understanding why she does the things she does I felt like they dumbed her down this season with her not even realizing Bruce was batman

Honestly, the large lack of Bane actually made me concerned for the Season early on, especially considering with Dr. Psycho gone (mostly), and the way he's been treated by the gotham villains, he'd be perfect for the harley team. I have to easily say the Joker episode was the best, because it was well-written and handled. Yet it meant nothing really the next episode or the rest of the season. There's a huge lack of villains aside from the one mad-hatter episode and Jim Gordon basically does nothing either. The show also went full stupid with bruce and catwoman, making both look like total pieces of garbage, without bothering to even try to make it funny or meaningful. Ivy and Harley make a lot of sense and felt built-up/earned but now the show feels like a total downgrade when they seem to have hired new writers who "got that" but ignore like 1/2 of why else this show had a solid Season 1-2.

I don't get your Green example how is a plothole. Ivy was always using the Green, that's how her power work. She only needed to deepen her conection to it.
The subplots porblem I agree with you on King Shark, it wasn't good. I really liked the Joker and I don't even consider Nora as having one. Nora is more of a plot device to justifie how Swamp Thing acts. The Nightwing one is for Season four build up. Clayface was okay.

Harley as a the main character is awful... it's the worst character in the series...just stupid and annoying. The other characters balanced her out...Ivy, King Shark, Clayface, Dr. Psycho...even Bane...they are so wacky and charming...they made the series entertaining. The problem with season 3 is that the focus is on Harley and her bratty antics...I think the writers don't understand her...I think that the crazy chaotic Harley is not her true self... it's the character the Joker forced her to play as his goon. The real Harleen is a brilliant Dr...I know that they refuted that in a few comics... implying that she cheated to get her degree...but as a a show that pretends to be feminist or to empower women... isn't that an aspect of Harley that they should correct instead of reinforce? I mean...we have no problems thinking that Batman or the Joker are brilliant overqualified men...Why women can't get that treatment? Why these so called feminist writers keep dumbing down Harley? Because smart people are boring? I like Ivy because she helped Harley to become herself after she left the Joker...The real Harley is a brilliant caring woman...Ivy can see that... that's why their relationship could work...but if the writers keep her as crazy dumb OP blonde just for laughs... nobody will buy into her relationship with Ivy.

I finished season 3 and I enjoyed it...The first episode is the worst of the entire season...but it setup the Edin Arc. I can see how the most conservative audience can get upset as they double down on the sexuality of the characters... A large part of the cast is gay including The Riddler, Clayface and even Bane is hinted as Bisexual in the Valentine's Day Special. The best part of the season is the Bruce Wayne arc when the writers finally explore Harley as a competent and emphatic therapist instead of a murderous Looney Toon. I think this would be a great final season...if they do a 4th probably they will undo all the good things they did in the second half of this season.

Exactly the same thought i had as you did. Stock Family guy comedy. And the drama as was too quick for me to even feel anything. Some stuff that should be heart wrenching and its quickly cut.
Yes! The animation dipped heavily. But i think they could've made up for it with good story telling. And if the voice acting was done better. Cause....OH BOY The voice acting sucked here. It felt very AI generated. Where the tone was the same thru out. I really hated Ivy in this season. Where it was constant bitchy sounding. And most of the characters were one note. While Harley is just screaming all the time.
This is truly where the series jumped off a cliff.
3 ways to have fixed this season was to begin with Harley and Ivy together. And by the end they realise they're not right for each other. The only reason they got together in the first place was to escape their own misery. But, by the end Harley realises she's destined to be a better person when she falls for Bat girl. And Ivy goes back to being a villain when she falls for Lex Luthor(who is manipulating her to turn on her friends). And season 4 would be Harley vs Ivy with Ivy dying at the end trying to save Harley. Then they can do a spin off where Ivy is resurrected by Thalia thru the lazarus pit. But being away from Gotham. While Harley continues to find herself as a Superhero trying to take down Luthor.

My biggest criticism of the show so far is you can tell the writers don't want to admit when a female character has wronged a male character.
You're point about Ivy and Swamp Thing is a great example. Ivy dose exactly what Swamp Thing was accusing her of but somehow she's in the right just because. Swamp Thing was also right to be mad with Nora ( although he shouldn't reacted with violence, that is never okay, but he still was fully justified to be upset with her). She made him a rebound guy and believe it or not some of us guys don't like that. She messed with his emotions and body in order to make herself feel good at the moment instead of dealing with her issue like a mature adult. She was treating him as comfort food. If the genders had been reversed the writers would've been calling her out for being a creep. Instead Swamp Thing has to just take it and somehow they become couple after "he" admits to being wrong.
But for me the worst one is Kiteman. I really like his new girlfriend and happy to see him move on, but what bothers me is that the writers of season 3 make it sound like Ivy left him. No, Kiteman rightfully left her. The most satisfying moment of season 2 was seeing Kiteman stand up for himself after putting up with two seasons of someone who didn't appreciate him. If the writers were smart, they could've had Ivy connect what Sawmp Thing called her out on with how she treated Kiteman and then realize this behavior from herself could come back to hurt her relationship with Harely. Or have Harely relfect a little and realize Kiteman was like her Simeone in a unhealthy relationship with someone who didn't really care about them. Start to feel regret about her role in him getting hurt and secound guess her romance with Ivy. Maybe get her to realize she could become like joker: a toxic person to date. Realistically no relationship born from adultery is going to be healthy.
Instead.....now Ivy "left" Kiteman, she and Harely are just perfect for each other, Kiteman is cool with both of them and there are no negative consequences for their actions.
Don't even get me started on Batman and Catwoman.

I have to disagree about the jokes, for me the jokes can be a hit or miss but what makes it feel special is that this show is exactly who harley is, fucking insane.
It isn't a show that makes a whole lot of sense and makes fun of a lot of stuff especially dc, I mean if they brought in famous dc memes into the show then of course they are going to have wacky shit.
The humor for me is more of a harley type of thing, she loves doing things that are so random but as I said it could be a hit or miss.
Also with the comedy and 'filler' episodes, I am only considering these episodes not filler is because they help the character progression and obviously advances the harlivy plot, and bruce is the one who kidnapped frank and with the whole court of owls it was a one off joke but around season 1 forgot which character said so but they said that the court of owls turned into a sex cult or something and they expanded that here.
Also with character arcs, we see that Mr freeze death severally effected nora, like damaged her greatly and her missing however many decades of her life made her want to live it out how she wanted it, not that she wanted to be a prostitute, but she was lost and had a huge gabing hole in her heart which could suggest her numbing the pain through pleasure, although her jumping on zues then swamp thing is fucked up I'll admit. But as it says she is still lost, grieving and feels like she missed a lot of her whole life, not onlt that but the firsy thing she sees when she thought her husband found a cure and they were going to live happily ever after was the love of her life sacrifice himself for her right after she Finally regained conisness and seeing him in that position then dying clearly broke her, leading her to a life of confusion and her pretty doing whatever the fuck she wants but by the end of ep5, she states that she learned what she wants now in life and how she is going to get it, it shows her finally finding a path of something she truly wants. And harlivy, now personally I feel like this ship could've been handled better last season, it was handled well, but my main problem last season is how it kinda did kiteman dirty and it felt kinda forced, however I do give the benefit of the doubt that in season 1 there were hints of harly and ivy being together, same with season 2 where they do end up getting together, here I feel like as you said the edin plot should've been focused on more show ivy's want to terririform earth and remake edin, to me her turning evil in episode 9 was sudden but I do see what the writers where doing but definitely needed more built up for ivy turn, it's also been confirmed thay ivy has a strong tendency to hide things from her partners and try to make things not as bad as they seem, like on season 2 where she was with kiteman however she hid her affair with harley from him and then lead to them breaking up, ivy did this again in episode 4 where she tries to subtly tell harley to stop instead of being upfront and honest about it. That's ivy main problem she even address that she would rather make a dumb excuse or act like it didn't happen rather than confronting the problem head on. Also in episode 3 It shows thay harley still wants some of that freedom now from here it's my own speculation but from whay iv gathered ivy wants to make harley happy, while harley is obsessed with finally doing things her way, which ivy's actions connects to her tendency to avoid her problems as much as possible, ivy then having one of my personal favorite moments in the episode/season a talk with golden glider, she gains the motivation she needs to finally just have a fun time and generally enjoy being with harley. Thats all of what I had to say, I do respect your opinion but I wanted to give my two sense.

The whole random XD humour could be handled and written a lot better than just Harley is crazy so the writing is too. And while I don’t like the humour, I would have minded it less if it didn’t halt the plot. Like I said, the comedy has to work with the plot, otherwise it feels like one will be trying to fight for the spotlight, which will make for an extremely jarring experience. Also, I wouldn’t say the filler episodes really progress characters. They do progress the side characters, but I don’t really think I wanted to see a one off character like Nora Fries come back, and get an entire episode devoted to her. The Harlivy like I said is pretty illogical, since they are 2 weeks into their honeymoon. And the fact that both of them couldn’t communicate to one another properly, is pretty stupid. Since they have both had no qualms about telling each other about how they feel before. So the whole thing feels like padding.
Bruce is the one who kidnapped Frank, yet I still don’t know why the Court badge was sitting there. Surely Bruce broke in as Batman, since the plant has sentience and could snitch. And even if he didn’t, I don’t think Bruce would be so clumsy as to leave something like a Court badge lying around. It just feels like a contrived plot device to destruct from the main plot. And with the Court being mentioned to have been a place for orgies back in season 1 is something I’ll have to rewatch to see if that is true. I can definitely see them making a one off joke like that back in season 1, so I wouldn’t put it past them.
As for Nora’s arc, I understand that she’s grieving, and I understand why she does what she does. But she comes in at the most inconvenient time in the plot, and it feels like a waste of time seeing her party, and f*cling other guys when we saw that in the previous season. I understand what they were trying to do, but again, it’s never really developed properly since she’s a one off character. Especially at the end with Swamp Thing, she still gets with him in the end, even though he threw a big temper tantrum. But for some reason she is now at peace with him? It felt like that relationship needed to be explored a bit more, as it comes across as half baked and rushed.
As for the Harlivy stuff, I agree with pretty much everything you say. Even though they do have feelings for each other in season 1 and 2. I still think it was pretty messed up for Ivy to ditch Kiteman like that especially since she had already committed so far as to getting married. And the fact that she dumped him on their wedding day is the most messed up shit in this show. Especially since the writers act like what they are doing is “okay”.
Everything you said about the EDIN plot, and Ivy turning evil is stuff that I won’t say much about since I agree with you on that.
I will say something about this Ivy thing, yes, Ivy in the past has been like that. But to Kiteman, she doesn’t have the same connection she does with Harley. In the first season, we see Ivy telling Harley about what she needs to do, she tells her to break up with Joker. She was never afraid to voice her opinion on what Harley was doing wrong. The first season was her pointing out their mistakes, and Harley learning from them. Even though it could get a bit repetitive at times… I would also like to point out that the affair thing was a much bigger deal, and Ivy was definitely under a lot of pressure at the time. I believe she also told Kiteman eventually about what happened. But with Harley it’s on a much smaller scale, and since she has had no problem in the past talking to her about this stuff, it seemed kinda out of character for me. I agree with the talk with Golden Glider being the best part of the show, I agree, it is definitely one of my favourite Harlivy episodes.
Thank you for giving me your perspective on the season, I do enjoy seeing other people’s perspectives on media, so I enjoyed seeing your side! I too respect your opinion, and I appreciate you for voicing your thoughts!

@@introvertedrobot in terms of the humor, I do feel as if it's randomness fits harley in general, of course like you said it doesn't have to be but I'm mostly talking about how crazy the humor can be. And with ivy and kiteman, now technically kiteman was the one to end it with ivy not the other way around, ones kiteman realized what happened he ended things which was great character development for him and made him as he says this season more mature and taking more responsibility. Ivy and her insecurities are pretty that her and harley where freinds when they spoke, ivy was up front then from there they stayed freinds, but ivy explains that she doesn't like getting too close too people in fear of hurting them or herself, kiteman and harley are great examples of ivy not being honest and avoiding key things in a relationship. And yes your right, nora didn't need to be in this season, but she never really got much development from psdt season and here we really see nora development as we see her trauma, and her expressing how she deals with the pain she felt after seeing her husband's death. The joker episode was one of my favorites and if this season was 13 episodes long like the last seasons ( don't know why they made this season only 10 episodes) then maybe they could've had a bit more breathing room with episodes to mainly develop and flesh out side and main characters. Also when I'm referring to filler episodes progressing the characters I'm mainly talking about as other shows like star wars the clone wars (if you haven't seen it, I promise you it'd amazing) have used that type of strategy to use the filler episodes to their fullest. Either way, this is some things I have to say in regards to this video, I like the video no matter if we have different views, Stay Blessed and hope your have a good day 🙏

As an lgbtq woman and a Harlivy shipper, the fact that Ivy and Harley's romantic relationship started out with cheating and pretty much being 90% physical turned me off.
It just seemed to come out of nowhere.
The argument that ' They're villains and that makes it okay' doesn't sit right with me, considering that they are two gay traumatized women, and considering that lesbian physical action has been fetishized for years.
Also the fact that as soon as the relationship started all of a sudden all the characters became a joke? I loved the idea that in season 1 Harley made all these friends and made a team, but they were all thrown aside as soon as Harley and ivy kissed for the first time because they weren't the main characters.

I understand they wanted focus on their relationship but it was cringy at times. I like seeing Kite man again with his girlfriend. King shark had more backstory to work with. Joker character is literally best part in the show.
What I didn't like was Batman character I didn't like whole simping for catwoman that was jarring to watch I hated how weak and out of character that was as well she treated him horrible batman I know wouldn't be so weak for those remarks its toxic. The season finale just felt very short and rushed. King Shark and Clayface were mostly sideline because of Harley and Ivy which sucked not much development either.

I agree with you 💯, this season has a lot of plot holes, it's full of filler and they don't even build up to most of the arcs, they force it down are throats, and the biggest problem for me with this show is "Batman", they made Batman an incel and he's just useless, it's like he just let's people die and just let's the criminals run lose, he dosen't even try to over throw joker after he gets elected Mayor, it was understandable for the first 9 episodes of season 2 but before and after his coma and recovery he was just useless. Harley Quinn is still an enjoyable show, but its not fully ironed out.

Honestly, this show should have ended in season 2. Now it's like the writers have no idea what they are doing anymore, and they're screwing with Batman, and his characters, of all people in this show. I think the higher positions in Warner Brothers should pull the plug and work on different projects that don't screw with superheroes, like what they're doing right now just like Disney is the perfect example of destroying a superhero franchise. At this point, anyone interested in making their own story should try to make their franchise and do a much better job than the people destroying well-known franchises. Honestly, anyone else could come up with something better than this show. For example, I came up with the idea of having Batman as a Japanese superhero in a dark anime tokusatsu series. The story is similar to the animated series for being dark and mysterious, Batman of Shanghai and The Batman for the action, and Batman Beyond for having stronger villains and the Dark Knight possessing technology that's decades ahead. So, in this world, not only does he fights stronger versions of his villains, but he also fights monsters in his city that are causing chaos and eating humans, and battling kaiju that can handle the Justice League's strongest heroes, using transforming mechs that can fight gods. I don't think Warner Brothers and DC Comics will ever consider green light this story, but it's something better than what most people are doing with a well know superheroes franchise in this era.

  • @Stubbormly

It’s a play on the hero’s personalities, kinda like how there’s so many movies where Batman is this super strong guy who wins every fight, they show more vulnerability in the character VS “dark past, fight bad guy”
And I’m pretty sure the fourth season is gunna be more focused on the bat-family and the hero’s side vs the villains/vigilante’s
    I liked the series :)
Some jokes were really predictable, but there were some pretty cute.
And I feel like the random jokes and “loud = funny” gets old quick.

This show loss me last season (3), I was on board loved season 1 so much, season 2 started great but slowly decline but still was satisfying to watch.................then season 3 happen and yeah.....what I liked before and season 1 was the best handling this was that there was a PLOT and was simple to follow and tie everything great so the small characters moment counted, and always was in service of the characters....it have a goal, a great antagonist, and great characters you want to follow......season 2 start like this, following the events of s1 perfectly escalating things...but all sudden, they DROP THE PLOT and make it all about Harley falling in love with Ivy, yeah something we all who ship these 2 wanted for years but not to the expense of dropping the entire premise of Harley wanted to take over Gotham and took down the other villains......still despite all I enjoy the rest of the season..........................and then this season happen and I will be honest........I already forgot what happen in this season, other than the amazing Bruce episode, I can recall specifics even watching the clips I totally forgot some of those scenes. If the writers didn't have any more material to do this show, they need it to stop at S2 instead of making the show worst....now the show (and the comics BTW that are godawful SJW bs to square) are becoming a dumping wasteland of awful DC ideas no one care about......I saw today some clips of a Valentine episode that seems came out just recently and I really not want to see it, that's how bad those clips where.

Yeah, they literally just forgot about Harley and Ivy taking over Gotham. I thought season 1 was pretty good for the most part, I do like how they subtly hinted at Harley liking Ivy, since I thought that maybe S2 would tie in the romance with the plot as well. Instead, they drop one thing that was barely finished, to develop another. Something I didn't like in S1 was how formulaic it could be at times, where Harley would want to do something, Ivy says it's a bad idea, Harley does the thing and turns out it is a bad idea, Harley apologizes to Ivy saying that she should listen to her more often, rinse and repeat. But yeah, not looking forward to S4...

For example, while I agree a plot centred on Nora was unnecessary and her characterisation is awful, she wasn’t always “a piece of shit” from the start. It’s signposted very clearly that she genuinely loved Victor and was devastated by his death. Her alcohol, drug and sex escapades were all a direct response to avoiding confronting her genuine grief.
