Has anyone considered the theory that Barry is just acting. Because with the speed he precieves things, he should be able to see everything. So him not doing things is just that he is a sadist that enjoys other peoples suffering.
that explains why whenever Nora is involved he gets serious in season 5, almost ended the entire show by cuffing/ killing cicada(after cicada paralysed Nora), but then sees Nora alright and is like oh nvm , shes ok . And runns through a tornado and stuff aswell lol
Having the villain lose the same way the hero has been losing, gross incompetence, because he is technically _the same person_ as the hero is accidentally genius. If only the writers had done any of that on purpose.

And never forget: Mulan 2020 was made with ‚F-k Consistency and all Basic Rules’ in mind, while the Original was not. That’s it for the generic message i had to share.
Honestly. If they applied physics to non-speedsters and had them get ripped in half from sudden acceleration, then there would be so many plot holes filled in
They actually did this with Barry in the Snyder Cut of Justice League, where he couldn't actually move anyone. He only could only sorta influence their movement, like the scene with Iris in the car. So honestly it's honestly a really effective method of translating The Flash's speed from comics to screen
i just realized that they can just use the hologram thing and turn iris into a random civilian without telling barry... and thats it, savitar wont find her ever, she can just chill in a random apartment and if they want to be extra sure they can just lie to barry and tell him that she is in another earth
I like that in this version of the show, there would have been a justification for Savitar to run around the city killing random people once Barry found out, which is a great set-up for a season finale, yet the writers went with some stupid ”The paradox catching up with him“
"Stop talking and punch them" applies to basically every episode of this show. I forgot how hilariously badly written these CW shows were, which is why it's endlessly entertaining to watch these lengthy breakdown videos.
The thing that breaks me in this show is the lightning blades, the idea with throwing lightning is he moves really fast so that he can catch up to his own lightning and throw it, the lightning blade is him just STANDING THERE.
The villains don't teleport away from Barry, they stand very still, to the point where they become invisible. I bet Drax or someone taught them this ability or some shit.
I'm a forensic scientist, and I can tell you that yes a criminal can walk free if a key witness doesn't testify, especially someone involved in evidence handling and continuity. The Defence will say they needed to cross examine that person and essentially it will be considered unfair not to give them that opportunity. With all that said, the scene was still dumb - if a forensic scientist is unable to testify for good reason they can get an adjournment and move the trial to another date. Everyone will be pissed off about it, but it does happen, especially if people get sick.
That whole thing was only done so they'd have to fuck up their own plan to erase Savitar's memory by erasing Barry's and waiting until Savitar was erased.
The worst part of season 3 was how adamant Barry was about unaliving Savatar to save Iris' life, up until the point HR did EXACTLY that by heroically sacrficing himself and redeeming his completely understandable mistake from earlier. After Iris was safe, Barry is all about forgiveness and redeeming his alternate self for Savatar's evil deeds... including killing HR. Dirt hadn't even settled on his grave and HR was already forgotten like the pen I walked into the room to get before something distracted me. But Iris is safe, so who cares?

Barry - "There's nowhere to run." Criminal runs and Barry is standing there. 😂 In the old movies, Villains captured heros and then instead of killing them then and their, went on to tell their elaborate plans. And we considered that a dumb move. Wait, Flash is a bigger idiot than them because he starts talking even before catching them.
@TrueHexproof Yes I 100% agree with that! this is very enjoyable with the edits and as a Flash fan, I enjoy this point of view and need more when ever they might show up.

No disrespect and no offense but why "unironically"? That word isn't necessary in this sentence and it doesn't make much sense. Is this the new "literally"?
The reason I don't hate it too much when Barry stops to talk is because, in theory, he should be more than capable enough to make up the time. He just never does...
One particular scene I love from Young Justice is when him and Bart are talking in superspeed. I wonder why he doesn't do that with the others speedsters in this show or with the whole team (and they just make a translator/slow down inator). They'd be so effecient.

When Caitlin said she wants to get rid of her powers my immediate thought was that Cisco made the power dampening cuffs, so he should be able to make a device that permanently removes someone's powers. But then i remembered that this is the CW, everyone of their shows has to be a soap opera so of course we gotta have this needless drama of Caitlin going "woe is me i don't want superpowers so instead of asking my super smart friend to help me get rid of them i'm going to be evil boo hoo woe is me".
In the later seasons Cisco makes a cure for meta humans, but since the CW needed the most worthless plot point ever they made Caitlyn grow attached to killer frost even though she wanted to get rid of her so badly previously.
Dynasty is one of the few shows that makes sense for the CW, to me, because it is a revamped old show that was initially run as a SOAP OPERA competing with Dallas in the 70s and 80s. Every other show is meh, or WHY IN THE LOVE OF EVERYTHING HOLY, IS THIS SHOW A THING (like the Arrow-verse or the Archie-verse)?
Wait I totally forgot that savitar is just a metahuman. They couldve used H.R.s transmogrifier and changed wally into iris and then made a room with metahuman dampeners without barry knowing. This could easily trick savitar and capture which would then prevent him from killing iris
Or, considering the fact that savitar was created by future Barry making a bunch of time remnants of himself, Barry could literally just go into the future and tell his future self not to do that, but I guess Barry doesn't want to ruin the timeline, but savitar never should have existed in the first place because future Barry is still Barry, and he knows how Savitar was created, so why doesn't he just not create him?

For a Flash show to work, the villains need to have at least one of the traits listed below: 1 - Speedster 2 - Too big or too heavy 3 - Able to react to Speedsters in any way 5 - Genius-level intelect and strategy 6 - Political connections and resources. This way, Barry can't just grab and relocate the villain. Speedsters can do the shit he does; enemies that are to big or heavy can't be just taken and relocated; enemies that can react to Speedsters in any way can prepare countermeasures; geniuses can hatch plans that will work to keep the Speedster away; and enemies with strong political connections can be freed with the power of said connections. THis way, the Flash needs to think of other ways to nullify the threat that can't be taken care of in three seconds. In the case of an enemy with political connections that is a regular human, then they can be relocated, but freed, and thus they become an enemy that the Flash can't beat with the OP-ness of super speed alone. And for those who tell "oh, that will put too much speedsters in the show"... Are you complaining about Speedsters... In something starring FLASH?!
The flash can be replaced Probably by his daughter Nora what else have they done with the flash have they not done before reverse flash is finally defeated there is just no point to continue his story more likely the next generation
Or just any enemy that's very durable, intangible, or requires something other than brute force to beat. Like for example the gas guy, metal guy, and lava/tar guy from the previous seasons(Cannot remember a single one of their names). If the show was filled with more enemies like this then most plot holes in this video wouldn't even happen. Another thing they could've done is just make Flash a bit slower and have him get faster as the show goes on. Like maybe in ep 1 he's about as fast as a car but then eventually gets faster and faster with each ep. That way all of his enemies are a bit more of a threat, there are less plot holes, and Flash can still eventually reach his comic accurate speed that he's known for.
I add another one, I add another one, make them untouchable, literally, if you touch them you might get infected, or they are intangible, that physical contact will result in a problem. And not to make most of the villains in this series useless, just make them at the speed of thought, if Barry has to think to go fast (at least before his flash-time) the villains too, example Top or Magenta work if they are metahumans with "area range" instead of 1v1 powers, covering an area of 2-3 meters around them, in the moment they hear those speedster sounds pum, they use their powers, just like that
@@lilsavage9946 the thing is, Barry is slowed down. Absurdly, in fact, relative to the comic version. Issue is the writers don't act like it. He started out with Mach 2, double the sound barrier, as around his peak speed. Issue is, A: the writers don't know how to make that work properly, and B: they made that speed be able to do time travel, even though both in comics logic and the only calculated way anyone can theorize would work in the real world, time travel is post lightspeed.
To be fair, Savitar failing to kill Barry, Jay, and Wally actually makes sense with how Barry is consistently portrayed. Since Savitar is a time remnant clone of Barry, of course Savitar would rather talk and wait around instead of finishing the job immediately.
I will say that for most first encounters, it actually makes sense that Barry sits and chats, since he’s canonically so strong and most of his rouge gallery are either normal people or their powers are nullified by his speed…of course, that quippy flash we’re used to only works if he’s canonically stronger than everyone..which this Barry isn’t for some reason
You can actually have Barry talking to the villains and taunt them, even. Why? Because the Flash should be so insanely fast that nothing should be out of his control, so he can actually mess around quite a bit with minor repercussions. JUST DON'T LET THE VILLAINS GET AWAY PLEASE FOR GOD SAKE.
A better version of the flash would have been standalone and had him younger and way more OP. Then he could have just ran around one shotting enemies and having fun
And when they threaten a civilian and he speeds in and makes some witty response, despite the fact he was miles away when they said that. He got super hearing now too?
A stupid excuse I've seen the show's fans use to defend Barry not waiting until he's locked them up to talk to them is "They'll say anything to get him to let them out." Oh yeah because treating dangerous criminals like children who'll stop when told what they're doing is bad is so much better "sarcasm."
Wait wait wait. Savitar is basically just Barry, and the goal is to protect Iris for a set amount of time? Just make Iris walk away slowly and cut to a different scene. He'll *NEVER* find her in time!!
Travel her through time with kid flash to like a day after shes supposed to die. It’d be instantaneous for her and barry wouldn’t know about it so it should be a foul proof plan

Honestly Savitar being an actual ancient speed god is a lot more interesting than Savitar being lonely evil Emo Barry. Should’ve made his character actually be an ancient evil speed god trying to punish Barry for some reason. Maybe it wouldn’t have had gross character assassination then.
Heck, have him be an ancient speed god that realized Barry Allen is the source of all time related and speed force violations issues. He is indirectly or directly responsible for most of the fucked up shit happening in the series with speedsters, and consistently the greatest violator of causality. Make savitar an actual authority on speed force matters coming to punish Barry for all the shit he did. Perhaps let the flashpoint incident be the last straw that forces savitar to pursue him himself, and let Barry realize that the things he's done so far have consequences.
I truly love the idea that the only reason why they could beat Savatar is just because he's a clone of Barry, not because that means anything but because the same writing devices they use to make Barry suck, also trap Savatar. Peak consistency.
Whoch also lead to the biggest problem of the season, whoch Madvocate didn’t directly point out. They know Savitar is a clone of Barry and shares his momeries, they mindwiped him for that reasons. Yet those cretins kept Barry involved in all of there plans to protect Iris from futur Barry who will know everything in advance and prepare counter measures as such, making there plan pointless in the begining.
53:23 is proof the writers don't even know their villans either. Killer Frost can absorb heat, that's one of her main abilities. She was made as an antagonist to FIREstorm but a puff of fire in her direction has the same effect as spraying a cat with water
“He storms in telling Snow she doesn’t wanna hurt the victim, and then proceeds to knock out the victim” dude the way you phrased that had me rolling 🤣
The only single thing I hate about this is that there isn't a video for s4...s9. they are even worse than the first 3 seasons and this can only mean that the next few videos on them would be even greater! Great job and thank you for the effort dude. great content. Please keep them coming, we need more videos of this series!
It would have been great if in Season 1 Barry wasn’t super-duper fast, but just like fast enough to outrun cars and stuff but not fast enough to dodge bullets. Then each season he can actually get faster and faster in a more noticeable fashion so like he’s not OP until the final season. Then these speed-inconsistencies wouldn’t be too much of an issue.
@@kissadev. I agree with that, you would be surprised of how brain dead some writers can be. Now that i think about it i shouldn't even call these clowns writers if even me that only writes for fun can make histories with less inconcistencies by taking lessons from youtube and doing little bit of research.
I get the idea, but a "slow Flash" probably wouldn't be very popular among fans in Season 1. I think they should aproach it like Smallvile did, having smart conflits that can't be solved by just punching really fast and save the big action for Flash v Reverse Flash.
That and deciding that Barry isn't supposed to be some hyper-intelligent genius but actually have him be very overconfident and prone to mistakes would have excused a lot of the necessary inefficiencies in how he captures and deals with his villains. The problem is that eventually the writers were always going to hit the point that Barry would be TOO experienced and TOO OP to justify having normal weekly villains to fight, but that's when you just kill or write off the character and have a follow on series with Wally or something. CW of course doesn't have the balls or the actual vision to pull that off.
Like it makes me appreciate OPM even more as it shows how powerful a little speed can be... In a show that has nothing to do with speed powers as the MAIN PREMISE lol 😆
@@rickross9829 The trick to having an OP protagonist is to make the story about sth else besise power. For example, if you were to give some character ridiculous levels of power, but his goal was to get some chick to like him and she's not impressed by his power, then that can still be a good story because his power doesn't make the conflict in question redundant.
The fact that this show is almost a decade old and they still haven’t gotten their shit together is really astounding. Must be the magic of The CW I guess 🤷♀️
the thing is that they have the means to fix the battle issues SO EASILY, just by writing smart: •killer frost & captain cold can easily make him slip up or aim at the general vicinity of his feet so he can’t follow; •have mirror master always at an advantage - close to or even holding a reflective surface at all times (even his damn phone screen can work if you’re lazy); •have top’s vertigo ability be area of effect, not just when she chooses & that way we can still have jesse loose to her over & over, without it feeling redundant as that would be the nature of her power; •always have king shark’s battles near a source of water, since barry can run on water but can’t breathe under & viola, the perfect escape for king shark (could even be used as a fun set piece with the shark reaching out to catch him as he runs over); •the turtle naturally counters the speed force through the still force •magenta can literally fly - at least show her flying away so she doesn’t keep teleporting around the place; •establish that the mist can focus his usual form in just a certain body part, so he can still attack without being completely impervious; •weather wizard can create storms & lightnings to trip up the speedster; •i’m not even going to mention what they did to golden glider as that is just a hate crime; •the pied piper can HYPNOTISE people through SOUND, meaning you don’t even have to see him to be under his thrall; •dr alchemy can literally transform pretty much anything into pretty much anything, just imagine the “escape” solutions (softening the ground so barry can’t follow, icing up the floor even etc.) what i’m saying is that these characters were MEANT to counter barry’s speed, stop making it so that pure chance and luck get them out of these inescapable situations. were all my points too hard to grasp or too difficult to come up with? i think not.
You speak literal facts, although if I remember correctly in the comics Top had a frictionless suit that made it so nothing could get a grip on him along with the suit giving him the ability to spin incredibly fast which also allowed him to fly away if he needed to. Most important of all, the Rogues always use diversion and strength in numbers when taking on the Flash. Plus they follow rules that makes them not be perceived by Flash as large threats(they don't kill, don't use drugs and focus solely on the job. They know for a fact that making things personal against the Flash would be a death sentence, if the Joker tried to pull a Jason Todd on the Flash, he would literally have his entire body broken to dust while being relocated to a small island in the middle of nowhere for no one to find, or he would be literally be sent to next week in a vegetative state. You don't want to make the Flash snap unless you're literally Reverse Flash)
If these were the "good" seasons, what on Earth do the "bad" ones look like? Poor man sounds like he's dead inside at the thought of having to continue this.... But I'd 100% tune in out of pure morbid curiosity
Think about it this way: Flash has a lightning lightsaber that he uses to fight another speedster with a lightning lightsaber (at normal speeds of course)
@@twinodoom My counter to this sentence is to just have some Camo Dude with a gun shoot the 'villains' because they're practically the same thing, "a concealed person that can kill a target with one shot of their weapon"
You forgot to point out that one moment in the season finale where Savitar, instead of running away, just turns around and starts walking in normal speed, allowing Barry to phase into his armour and push him out. Like, why tf did you not run away? My grandma walks faster than he did
This show gives me nostalgia. When my friends and I went outside to role play with sticks, nerf guns, etc. and none of it made sense and we kept giving ourselves plot armor when the other stopped to talk about how their powers made them the winner and we’d argue we survived their power with something random we pulled out of our ass.
Lmao used to do that with my friends as kids but with imaginary Pokemon Always had that one friend who would pull some BS out of his ass just so he could win like "oH mY pOKeMon EvOLvEd miD-BaTtLe" Like B O I

Yes I remember trying to kill someone then they had a forcefield, so I super punched to break it, then they were invincible, then I throw the sun on them, then they were they were God and shrinked the sun, then I became a God and I made a giant black hole that defies reality to eat them, then they make another black hole that eats that black hole and is about to eat me, then I turn into super space alien God killer 2.0 and consume the black hole and eat him, then he rips my stomach open into shreds to get out, then I super fast heal myself and spit 10 billion universe sized meteors on him, then he eats them like cookies and sprays trillions of acidic ocean on me, and I take nice bath in it
For Kara getting shot, I think it's actually pretty fair for her to run in without worrying that she'll be shot, she's supergirl she's normally bullet proof
42:01 worst part is that wasn’t a Time Wraith. That was the Black Flash, the zombified version of Zoom that likely has near unlimited speed due to it’s existence as an extension of the speedforce. For reference, Black Flash had Eobard Thawne of all people 💩ing his pants for the entirety of season 2 of Legends of Tomorrow. So the fact that Barry was able to do this to it in its own domain is laughable.
Fr tho. Luckily tho he can never die because a version of black flash will always exist in a time so they can just send him out whenever wherever even if one dies they can send another version of him from a previous time in the speed force
Super Speed is an interesting power, but it's also a difficult power to write with. It's so easy for the character to become over-powered with a single feat. Since they show Barry being able to carry people without harming them, he should be able to do that with every villain he encounters. If he can show off by disassembling a motorcycle while it's being ridden down the road, he should be able to do that with any criminal on a motorcycle. If they gave him some weaknesses that he gradually overcomes instead of giving him the speed to time travel in Season 1, then it would make more sense. Maybe; - Make him unable to run at super speed for a long duration of time (stamina he has to build up). - Make him have to build up his speed gradually as he runs. The longe he runs, the faster he can go. The drawback would be he needs to gradually slow himself down instead of coming to a sudden stop. This would justify him stopping to talk because he would need to assess the situation before handling it (talking would buy him time to think of a plan). Over the course of the seasons, he would be able to go faster sooner, slow down at faster, and react faster so he doesn't need to stop and talk. - Make him unable to carry people at super speed. That way he can't just carry anyone out of the building without killing them. He will gradually learn how to move people without killing them, but at the start, he should have those limitations. The best he can do is move debris/bullets, but not people. - Don't have him be able to talk to people in real-time as he runs at super speeds. This would also justify him slowing down to properly communicate with his team for any information they could give him (names, addresses, a newly discovered weakness, etc) - Don't make magic handcuffs that shuts down any meta's powers instantly. - Have Barry deal with the physical stress running at super-speeds could do to his body to keep a lid on his speed. Not just having a fast metabolism, but the strain on his bones, his muscles, etc. Stuff that he could build a resistance/durability to over time. They keep talking about whether his body could handle the speeds he needs to go to do something, so actually make that an issue. Make that a limit he doesn't immediately exceed, and instead a hurdle he gradually overcomes.
Another thing you can do is have the series be about the start of the speedster, while he is learning his power. That way, it could make more sense as he is just learning the ropes.
@@edumalafaia11 What I was aiming for was to make things difficult at the start for Barry to work around. Coming up with unique ways to counter villains that isn’t just “run fast”. The two biggest issues are being able to carry people at super speed without causing any injuries, and the meta-human cuffs. When he has two easy ways to handle pretty much 95% of the people he goes up against, it makes him look like an idiot for never doing it for the sake of having an episode. They could even have incorporated him stopping to talk be a rookie mistake he does. Where he’s so overconfident that instead of handling things immediately, he wants to show off. Resulting in him getting his ass kicked and the villain getting away. Then have him actually be regretful about his mistake, maybe get a lecture (that isn’t a positive motivational speech), and have him learn from it and never do it again unless he’s trying to reason with someone or he needs to keep the villain distracted in a situation where super speed can’t solve everything immediately. These drawbacks would basically be stepping stones to him getting faster and stronger as the Flash. The more the show goes on, the more he overcomes these drawbacks and is able to fight bigger and badder villains. Demonstrating his growth as a hero instead of immediately making him capable of ending a fight in seconds, but not doing that for the sake of plot. The show started off big by having the first seasons main villain be Reverse Flash. It’s tough to have Barry go up against that, able to hold out for a few minutes, and get still struggle against non-speedsters for the sake of plot
Ya see, that’s great and all but half those ideas don’t work literally just because he’s called the flash. Has to be called something else for that to happen, sorry.
One thing I like about worm is that speedters aren't broken, either they don't get improved reaction speed, so they can say, fly in straight line very fast, or they do, but they also have their ability to interact with the environment crippled, keeping them balanced.

Something that bothered me was the fact that when they hid iris on earth 2 they literally could have put her anywhere on that earth yet stayed right in front of the portal. That’s like going into a room to hide from a killer and standing right next to the door
Also, when HR said that Iris was in Earth 2 to Savitar (Thinking it was Barry), It didnt matter if that eas truly Barry, if he was the moment HR said that Savitar instantly knows it
To be fair, Savatar is still Barry, and Barry is frequently unable to find people just because they leave the room or turn a corner. Wouldn't be surprised if most of those villains that "escape" are just literally hiding behind the door of the next room they walk into :-p
Eh, if it's a small room, then you have a higher chance hiding behind the door. But, yeah Iris could've hidden anywhere away from the portal, and Wally could've protected Iris ( I dont remember if he did).
The biggest problem with this show is they took a decent enough looking plague doctor villain and named him "Alchemy" instead of "Alchemist." One of those sounds blatantly better. Also, correct me if I'm wrong, he never even throws one potion which is that entire archetype's deal.
Savitar really is a good example of what not to do with a villian, he's simply way too strong for Barry, and should kill him easily in every encounter since he has the blades and is faster. Since the writers made him so powerful, they then struggle with giving a reason why he doesn't/can't kill Barry.
@@ccscrew7728 also he was really callous when Barry threatened to kill himself, fully insisting “that’s the thing about time travel Barry! The more you do it the less the rules apply to you.” and it’s not written off as him being insane.
I need one for Supergirl too cause it's also very inconsistent. She can move really fast, see through objects and zoom her vision, heat vision and can freeze things plus her super strength yet we get these inconsistencies too. But it's better than this shit some times
The "stopping to talk" thing can be attributed to Barry being so sure of his overpowered self that he simply doesn't consider the villains an immediate threat - very much like the supervillain syndrome of catching someone and then proceeding to tout before him about their genius plan and how much they've got him, instead of just killing him outright. However, as he constantly fails to learn his lesson, it just goes to further prove how dumb he is. On another note, the "there's nowhere to run" with Smash music running joke never gets old xD
Yeah, overconfidence is not an excuse. Barry gets his ass handed to him once every 1.5 episodes because of stopping to talk. After THIS many occurrences of that, you'll learn the lesson even if you're mentally disabled in 17 different ways, 5 of which are learning disabilities. My theory about Captain Cold is that he has a superpower. It's self-awareness. He is aware of the garbage writing (to a degree) and points it out. This is how he can be so confident that Flash will not catch him even when all logic dictates that he should and Captain Cold KNOWS THIS yet remains unfazed by the possibility. Unfortunately, he does not have enough power to escape the gravitational pull of the writing and is ultimately forced to do what the writers tell him. But he can be snarky about it as he does so, so he finally hurt their little feelings SO MUCH that they wrote him to his death and he could do nothing to stop them even though he knew his own death was unnecessary and had pointed out alternatives (and even enacted them) on other occasions. He didn't actually die fairly any more than he had previously escaped fairly. The writers did it to him because he was making them uncomfortably aware of their own bad writing and they didn't like it, so they conspired to murder him.
Honestly I don’t mind the banter with criminals but the problem with it in this show is that Barry is incompetent. When Spider-Man does banter he still beats the bad guy because he uses his powers. Barry just loses making the banter worthless.
Spidey banters while pummeling the bad guy into submission, Barry just stands there and talk when 99% of the time there is no information he tries to gather, it's just chit chat, his objective is to capture, incapacitate the bad guy 99% of the time and hes just like "Hey, sup, im the flash, here doing flash things, I like to talk, who are you? Are you doing okay? Hey what nice weather we are having" *Gets hit by fucking lightning because hes talking to the fucking weather wizard*
@@randomaccountwithmusic4206 and even then useless chit chat wouldn't be all that bad if he sill *USED HIS FUCKING POWERS*. Making Barry cocky is singlehandedly the best way to nerf him imo, after all when you can run at flashtime ofc you'd get over your head. The problem is that Barry isn't cocky, he's fucking dumb. An excellent example of how a cocky flash banters with his foes is the kill the justice league trailer, he's still doing useless chit chat, but not standing in one fucking place and forgetting he's a speedster.
It might not be that bad if he beat them (he doesn’t) but super speed and NOT talking presents a huge advantage compare to other heroes talking, because he doesn’t even need to announce his presence at all or give them the chance to form a single thought before they’re in star labs or cuffed

something that definitely annoys me about most shows is the willingness and guiltfree status of killing certain ppl, usually henchmen, but it being a big deal some other times
>Hero kills dozens of faceless henchmen >Nobody says anything >Hero is about to finish off a named villain >"Noooooo! If you kill him, you'll be just like him!"
Yeah I really don’t understand why Savitar killed Rival at the beginning of the season instead just breaking him out of prison and manipulate Rival into freeing him from the speedforce in order to defeat Flash but Savitar, does the villain kills henchmen cliche, kills him while being carefree in order to add shock value

Small correction savitar can’t kill Barry, savitar knows that cuz he needs Barry to ensure he is created and he also seeks complete emotional revenge for what happened to him so in episode seven he intentionally didn’t kill the flash, but he wanted to make the flash think he was gonna do it so thus he pushed out his blade

It's funny because Sarvitar's plight could've easily been corrected and made more believable. Instead of the gang outright rejecting him because he was a time variant Barry, have them just slightly uncomfortable. They *want* to accept him for the new Barry, but it's this awkward disconnect because he isn't and never will be *their* Barry. As much as Sarvitar wants to connect with them like old times, he can't and never will close that distance. A rejection over time, a slow and painful realization that Sarvitar and the gang come to that this is a bridge that they just can't cross.
Instead they all the characters come off as a complete assholes, and while that is true in regards to their sheer stupidity and the fact they make the same mistakes over and over again, the bit with Savitar has them all come off as nothing more then douchbags.
Exactly. He could have been a sympathetic villain who turned against the team for never fully accepting him. Instead he was portrayed as pure evil for the "terrible crime" of wanting to kill the show's worst character Iris.
Back when season 3 was caming out, we would discuss the newest episodes every week on the SuperHeroHype forum (anyone else was there? it was a great place to discuss anything Arrowverse & Gotham related back then) there was a popular theory that we would learn stuff from Savitar's own POV in the couple last episodes: and we would see stuff like, probably Iris wouldn't fuck time remnant Barry because he wasn't "real Barry"? So he would feel like a cuck and become paranoid which would explain why he needed to "impale" Iris so bad in front of the real Barry. Good times.
I still don't understand why he would never be "the true Barry Allen" though. A time remnant is just a version of Barry like one second from the past or one second into the future, they're both effectively the exact same person-

The guy spends atleast 45 minutes in Flash Time while the bomb is in the process of blowing up. Overpowered isn't even the word one can use. Barry is a god at this point. If you can assume the speed of detonation of the nuke to be similar to that a uranium nuke, it would take 10 nanoseconds since detonation for the explosion to begin and even assuming that he can defuse the bomb with lightning upto the point of no return being 0.8 microseconds, the guy spent atleast 45 minutes worth of time in 0.8 microseconds. To put that into perspective, if even moved a meter in that time, his speed would be = 1 / (8 x 10^-7) = 0.125 x 10^7 = 1.25 x 10^6 m/s which is already Mach 3642 or 0.4% the speed of light. And he didn't just move a meter, a moved to and from Star Labs multiple times to pick up Caitlyn and Cisco, even Harry while also getting Jesse into Flash Time. He also went into a different universe, picked up Jay Garrick and got him to help out, had time to get Cisco and Caitlyn and Harry into Flash Time, then he had time to cry and bring Iris into Flash TIme. He even spent time going into the Speed Force Prison to get the DNA ball and throw it at the bomb but atleast the Speed Force Prison itself has time working differently there. The guy not only got 4 non-speedsters into Flash Time, he went to and fro from Star Labs to the bomb, went to AN ENTIRELY DIFFERENT UNIVERSE AND CAME BACK WITH A SPEEDSTER, has everyone try out their solutions and still had time to talk to Iris and only then he gets tired. Devoe shouldn't be able to do ANYTHING TO HIM at any point. You know what? Even if we're being generous with the speed of the explosion, let's say it will actually explode in 1 millisecond which is like literally over a thousand times slower, its still unbelievably overpowered. Because even if lets say he only travelled 1km in this time (which he didn't because he did a lot more), he's still at Mach 2915.

The biggest plot hole in the Flash season three is that Savitar shouldn't be trapped in the speedforce because Savitar would have been the version of Barry that just went back in time to create the God of Speed myth. Savitar already being trapped in the speedforce destroys the theory that Savitar is a fixed loop.
Another thing about the transmogrifier. When HR flashed them all with the light that allows them to see him as himself, Barry was there. Which mean Savitar should also be able to see through the disguise and see it’s not really Iris.
@@viktorcreed4938 Madvocate did literally the same thing that Jay Exci did with Doctor Who, but about The Flash. And you literally in both cases dont even need to be a Fan of the Show to have Fun with the video, as people literally point out under both videos.
I just did a little bit of math, using some the results from other people's calculations, to put how ridiculous this show is into perspective. By the end of the episode in Season 2 where he builds a tachyon enhancement device, it is stated that he goes 4 times faster than he ever had been before. We can use the numbers up until this point that the show gave us to calculate that he can now run at roughly mach 13 (4459 metres per second, 9974mph or 16052kmh). We can use his running speed compared to the average speed to get a sense of how much time dilation he's experiencing. Assuming that he would run 30kmh with no super speed, he is moving and perceiving things roughly 533 times faster than a regular human. This would mean that for every second we experience, Barry Allen perceives it as nearly 9 minutes. 9 fucking minutes, during which he can move while everybody else is basically standing still.
Flash stopping to talk is like someone pausing the video at 0:10 in and replying to it like they've already seen the whole thing, so of course their comment would be entirely wrong.
in the animated series i remember flash advising AGAINST smashing mirrors when dealing with the mirror master since each shard is a reflective surface too. Here he just pretends to ignore it.

Honestly even if Barry did always relocate them there are many ways to still create conflict Often times Barry goes after a villain immediately after learning they exist and rarely has any knowledge of who they are and what they can do during their first encounter So if he were to relocate them, it’d be easy to explain them escaping by saying that, since they didn’t know about their powers, the cell they’re in isn’t specially built to handle that specific power and thus use said power to escape For example, let’s say that Magenta was immediately relocated. Star Labs hasn’t had a Force wielding Meta Human before and thus she could break out of her cell by using the Force to make the glass explode or force the door off its hinges or something Or, since Star Lab cells are made of glass, and all glass is at least SOMEWHAT reflective, Mirror Man could’ve warped into his cell door on one side and warped out on the other to escape
1.That would still fall apart immediately after the first time since they'd be aware regular cells can't hold them 2. The star labs cell can hold any Meta. I wouldn't be surprised if magenta couldn't manipulate anything outside, And the mirror master could use the reflective surface to move around the inside but couldn't ever get out. Kinda like that girl who could teleport but couldn't teleport outside the cell
Villains who could actually counter barry and make the show good: A Yoshikage-Kira type guy who never is at the scene of the crime, detonating things remotely and making the flash use LOGIC and his FORENSIC SCIENCE knowledge to locate and capture him. Someone durable enough to not get KO'd. Maybe a really heavy guy or something that the flash can't move and needs to think outside the box to harm. A guy who makes traps. The flash needs to detect them and use geography to avoid the maze of BS the villain makes. Another challenge for him. Another speedster, which has been shown already. Someone who messes with friction: if the ground is like an ice rink, the flash can't go too fast or risk dying by sliding around. Again, think outside the box. A mastermind guy who uses snipers, poison, and other plans to catch the flash off-guard. Someone who has an area-of-effect type thing that saps an object's energy the faster it goes , meaning the flash needs to figure out how to capture him without going close to him and can't just throw a brick to KO him. Someone who is intangible. The flash needs to suprise him to beat him, and it's difficult because the guy is paranoid. A game of cat-and-mouse where both parties need to keep guard and be careful. Anyone with an aura that makes them unapproachable via normal means. AND MANY MORE. ANY WRITER WITH HALF A BRAIN COULD MAKE THIS WORK.
Also a person who can manipulate time (technically time and speed are two sides of the same coin), which levels the playing field, although not technically a speedster
One thing that really sucks with this show, is how bad it makes Grant look. He is an amazing actor, and there was ONE scene (don’t remember what season/episode) where he was mad and he pulled it off so well. It made me realise how much the terrible script/directions he is receiving is holding him back. I wish we could see him being Barry with a different director/writer. Edit: season 5 episode 19 where, SPOILERS, Barry and Iris argue over Nora
38:45 Y’know a thought just struck me. How funny would it have been if this remained the plan, Wally was indeed fast enough and Savitar for whatever reason refused to speed react to him. Was Wally just gonna try and, shoulder bash, Savitar? The ginormous hunk of metal?

One punch man started as a webcomic famous for its low quality art. The thing that carried the story, and turned it into an international phenomenon, was the writing. The creator of the series started it as a small project, but it turned into the icon that it is because he put so much effort into the writing.
Yes, but that’s after he’s done being Kid Flash and becomes the new Flash, and in this time period, he’s still newly experienced Kid Flash so he’s not the fastest speedster yet
If the Flash uses his powers consistently, you can't have a threat in your show? Simple sollutions: use better villains, better villainous plots, and dangers that can't be fixed by just "running faster". Better villains: villains who have abilities that can't just be dodged or outrun. Like blasts or waves or psychic dreams/visions originating not visibly from the body, so the villain can just be part of the crows watching without giving away their identity. A person using multiple puppets/patsies/hostages to perform actions at the same time so at least some will likely succeed, contacting the individuals though revolutionary sci-fi technology: cell phones and the internet, say having multiple robberies at the same time (hoping one or two don't trigger an alarm that notifies the Flash straight away), have the culprits pass the loot a block away to another person before cutting them loose, do the same once or twice more, and the Flash can't use his speed to track it all down. And that's just lowl level enemies getting just a bit creative. Better villainous plots: How about instead of planning a way to be just a bit faster than the Flash or slowing him down and then robbing something, you have your villains do something less noticable. Influence politics through superpowers. Fake being heroes to get close to people of importance, create a unique drug using superpowers that isn't technically illegal or even harmful but it is addictive, just not immediately noticable. Rather than Shoot&Loot in costume so you face off against somebody moving at the speed of light. Dangers that can't be fixed by just "running faster": a bit difficult considering the Flash is shown to be able to quiet a tsunami by running fast enough, when it suits the plot at least, but ok. What I mean is that super speed will oftentimes HELP with the sollution, but the actual sollution still requires studying the problem, thinking and experimenting, etc. But in the actual series, often times it's just figuring out who the villain is after getting beaten/losing the culprit the first time, going out only for Barry to get his ass kicked, figuring out some macguffin that allows Barry to beat to guy, then him going out and doing just that. But Barry SHOULD be able to deal with most villains (bot street crooks and super villains) with ease. What should happen is that as the series goes on, this filters most enemies who are reduced to very brief cameos as they get beaten quickly so that only some of the people in the "Better Villains" category remain as a decent threat, planning Better villainous plots that lead to Dangers that can't be fixed by just "running faster". You know, those that grow and learn, or those that come from outside of the show after studying and thinking up a plan that they believe can defeat/outwit the Flash.
Ex: A supervillain that projects an image of himself while being invisible. The flash punches him in this face but his fist goes right through and doesn't hurt him. Huh? Why is he okay? is he a gaseous enemy? Superspeed wind attack! nope. Hmmm. Wait, he doesn't have a shadow! He must not really be here. But where is he really? Throw in a hostage and you got a sticky situation. The flash isn't really in danger but other people are.
@@RJM1410 Bro remember when the flash came up to punch The Thinker at super speed, and Devou just caught it! And, Barry after punching him is just like "Oh crap he caught my punch out of possibly pure luck....guess I shouldn't swing again....".
Another thing: Use Barry's super speed against him. He's going super fast. So he's breathing super fast. Use some kind of knock out gas. Yeah I know, Barry could run from it before the gas spreads but like, make it colorless or whatever, deploy it stealthily. Now his speed is hurting him, because going fast means he's inhaling the stuff faster, gets knocked out. Bam. Or have someone offer him a drink or food after saving them, except the danger they were in was staged, they're the bad guy, and the food is poisoned. Or they just put a tracking device on him to find out where he lives and where the lab is, and then start on some plots to take down the organization that supports Barry. Oh, oh, or what if the villain is sympathetic? Not necessarily a huge threat, so like it makes sense Barry would try to talk them down and get them help instead of just knocking them out and dragging them to the lab. Like that one time in Justice League Unlimited. _Fuck_ that was a good show! Wait no I got another! What if the villain used _a freaking tripwire_ and just send Barry flying into a wall that he hits and breaks every bone in his freaking idiot body! There's so many solutions to the "super speed is OP" thing, it's not hard to come up with ways to challenge such a character!
What's frustrating about all of this is that with one line said in a few of the early episodes they could have solved all these issues. For instance: Why does Barry slow down in fights? Have Cisco say something like "the faster you go the more calories you burn, you could starve to death in a few seconds". Even with high-calorie food show that Barry has a very limited amount of energy when he fights, he has to stop and catch his breath or slow down so he doesn't get exhausted. Why doesn't Barry just relocate villains instantly to jail? Have Snow or Cisco point out that doing so could kill someone "their bodies aren't built for this speed, Barry". Have it be that he can only do it so much and for so far without risking their lives. Make it an emergencies only sort of thing. Have a scene early on where he carries someone super far and they almost die. That way Barry has a good reason to not just carry people around. Why doesn't Barry punch people at super speed? Just say that his mass decreases the faster he goes. At full speed, he's basically pure energy and not able to hit people. Thus Barry has to stop and hit people in real-time, which leaves him open for attack, and at risk for guys who are stronger or tougher than him to just tank his punches. Why is Barry's reaction time so inconsistent? Point out that he has to focus to have his super reactions. Say something like "it's like listening to the radio in the car, you have to focus on the words to understand what people are saying" So if something breaks his concentration or confuses him he reacts like a normal person. These are just a few of the bigger issues. It'd take a few lines in Season 1 to basically solve all of them, without requiring a change in format or a change in scripts for a lot of the episodes.
@volantredx none of it mater if he can run to reach the vilians,he could catch them and then catch a breath,it makes no sense to stop just before the vilian, and he relocate people multiple times so it's already shown it doesn't matter if he their body is suitable for that
Basically, like almost all OP powers, give it significant drawbacks and limitations. But that would be good writing and I think that's illegal on the CW.
the more I watch of this the more I'm realizing that the power-dampening cuffs are the dumbest idea this show ever had, someone on the writing staff went "yeah, let's add a device that's an easily accessible one-shot K.O. to almost every villain, this won't cause plot problems"
Yeah, it really is a dumb idea and kinda pointless too, since he can just relocate people to Star Labs where they have prison cells with the fucking effect...
@@LewisHamiltonMSPR I know right. Got an item that solves any problem? Just find a way to make it extremely difficult to repair/make and come up with a good reason to destroy it at some point to vastly increase the stakes and tension. At that point there wouldn't be nearly as many plot holes as a poorly maintained country road.
Why didn't they hide Iris on the Waverider, which can go anywhere in time and has anti-speedster weapons? Why didn't they hide Iris on Earth-38, which has two very powerful people who could fight Savitar?
another question could be, why not change iris face like hr did, and have her hide in the public, and hide her new identity from barry so savitar wouldnt know
The only thing worse than the speed inconsistency is the characters just forgetting their own personalities. Cisco was the biggest hypocrite in season 3 because he first lied to Caitlin about becoming KF and then when it was exposed and she asked if it could be prevented, he basically said "yeah but it probably will happen" even though in the last season when Cisco was apprehensive about his own powers and becoming Reverb, Barry and Caitlin assuaged his fears and assured him they were family. Fuck the writers of this show man.
Honestly Catlitlin is weak to think just because she was told she'll be evil because Cisco saw evil version of her in another world and just assume oh I have these powers maybe I am evil when it's what you choose to so with those powers is what makes you hero or a villain.
Why qould you say KF like that's an exclusive acronym for one character I thought you meant kid flash as he is much more often referred to as KF throughout his appearances in everything not just this show when has killer frost ever been called KF
The speed's inconsistency always bothered me On one hand you have Barry clocking in at Massively Hypersonic and lightspeed by dodging and sometimes even blitzing literal photon beams and lightning multiple times in seasons 1 and 2 (Light/photons travel at mach 881,743 or in that 870k-885k range depending on your scientific source and lightning is ranged from mach 100+ up to near mach 1000, again depending on your source but my most used speed reference for lightning is mach 287) and then you have season 3 saying stuff like "Barry, you've finally reached mach 3"
There’s even an episode in a later season (either 4 or 5) that takes place over literal seconds, but takes up 40 minutes of slowed down, speedforce time where Barry is constantly running at superspeed for almost the entire duration to stop a bomb that’s already started going off. He even brings non-speedsters into this slowed-down time (which does negatively affect them). Not to mention he has to surely travel faster than light itself to travel in time. I get that he can’t always be doing his absolute best, expending maximum effort for every situation, but the sheer difference in his speed from one scene to the next is impossible to defend. He should at least always be faster than a bullet at all times (when using his speed). And his super reaction time (when he’s aware of what is happening in front of him) should kick in at least even half that. Despite this the writers make it so a bad guy without powers or even any way to counter Barry’s abilities can somehow knock Barry of his feet, land a hit, hurt someone else or evade capture before he can react. It’s ridiculous. I don’t know why I stuck with this show for five seasons before abandoning it. Consistency and good counters to Barry’s speed is key, but there’s just no continuity even between one scene to the next, sometime showing him using the very thing that would work moments before. You either make him less OP, find suitable obstacles and counters or slowly increase his top speed with each season to fix these plot holes. However, there’s still enjoyment to be found in The Flash during these early seasons. I bet there are even some good moments in the latest seasons, but that doesn’t excuse it as a whole.
I Mean, this isn't as bad. It'S just the writer not having a clue about physics and not understanding the scale. The biggest inconsistency is that it feels like he can only use his powers 10s total a day, so he's always limiting it's use. He never in a fight uses it for 10s (real time) straight. The main problem isn't thatt he drops from lightspeed to super sonic. Where, in both case, it wouldn't change 99% of the encounter as he can just speed defeat them (relocate, cuff, punch, tied up,dismantle) anyway. The problem is that he changefrom mach to regular speed where he's getting dodged and blocked.
Not defending this shit show but theoretically, you could react to someone preparing to fire a laser and move out of the way before the laser hit you. So you are not faster than the laser but can react faster the your opponent.
I fully believe that it's a law of the universe in "The Flash" that speedsters cannot use their speed unless they say at LEAST 3 whips to the bad guy, and absolutely CANNOT under no circumstances use the element of surprise, or else they lose their speed powers forever It's either that or getting connected to the speed force immediately makes you a narcissist that cannot go without hearing their own voice for more than 30 seconds at a time

Honestly if they had the idea to say “Barry can’t relocate people without major side effects” then almost half of the problems would be solved
That would make sense what with how people probably liquify when they go from stationary to several times the speed of sound.
Honestly. If they applied physics to non-speedsters and had them get ripped in half from sudden acceleration, then there would be so many plot holes filled in
@@waltermattiko23 also, it could explain why he slows to punch villians, as hitting them at full speed would kill them instantly.
instead the only side effect happens with Diggle and its played for laughs that it makes him vomit when moved to another location
That's a good idea and would've worked.
Pretty sure even if they went with it, they'd have contrived some bullshit to have her run back and reveal her self
I like that in this version of the show, there would have been a justification for Savitar to run around the city killing random people once Barry found out, which is a great set-up for a season finale, yet the writers went with some stupid ”The paradox catching up with him“

Flash acts like Butters in South Park, "Hey fellas!"
For a Flash show to work, the villains need to have at least one of the traits listed below:
1 - Speedster
2 - Too big or too heavy
3 - Able to react to Speedsters in any way
5 - Genius-level intelect and strategy
6 - Political connections and resources.
Issue is, A: the writers don't know how to make that work properly, and B: they made that speed be able to do time travel, even though both in comics logic and the only calculated way anyone can theorize would work in the real world, time travel is post lightspeed.
yes i am complaining bc im a comic flash fanatic and btw the show is called THE FLASH not 5 speedsters save people

He is, he just doesnt try ☹
You can actually have Barry talking to the villains and taunt them, even. Why? Because the Flash should be so insanely fast that nothing should be out of his control, so he can actually mess around quite a bit with minor repercussions. JUST DON'T LET THE VILLAINS GET AWAY PLEASE FOR GOD SAKE.
Yeah what's the fun of being a super op superhero if you can't mess with your enemies? That's half the fun
A better version of the flash would have been standalone and had him younger and way more OP. Then he could have just ran around one shotting enemies and having fun
And when they threaten a civilian and he speeds in and makes some witty response, despite the fact he was miles away when they said that. He got super hearing now too?
Lol kinda like what spiderman does, taunts his foes
A stupid excuse I've seen the show's fans use to defend Barry not waiting until he's locked them up to talk to them is "They'll say anything to get him to let them out." Oh yeah because treating dangerous criminals like children who'll stop when told what they're doing is bad is so much better "sarcasm."

The problem is that eventually the writers were always going to hit the point that Barry would be TOO experienced and TOO OP to justify having normal weekly villains to fight, but that's when you just kill or write off the character and have a follow on series with Wally or something. the thing is that they have the means to fix the battle issues SO EASILY, just by writing smart:
•killer frost & captain cold can easily make him slip up or aim at the general vicinity of his feet so he can’t follow;
•have mirror master always at an advantage - close to or even holding a reflective surface at all times (even his damn phone screen can work if you’re lazy);
•have top’s vertigo ability be area of effect, not just when she chooses & that way we can still have jesse loose to her over & over, without it feeling redundant as that would be the nature of her power;
•always have king shark’s battles near a source of water, since barry can run on water but can’t breathe under & viola, the perfect escape for king shark (could even be used as a fun set piece with the shark reaching out to catch him as he runs over);
•the turtle naturally counters the speed force through the still force
•magenta can literally fly - at least show her flying away so she doesn’t keep teleporting around the place;
•establish that the mist can focus his usual form in just a certain body part, so he can still attack without being completely impervious;
•weather wizard can create storms & lightnings to trip up the speedster;
•i’m not even going to mention what they did to golden glider as that is just a hate crime;
•the pied piper can HYPNOTISE people through SOUND, meaning you don’t even have to see him to be under his thrall;
•dr alchemy can literally transform pretty much anything into pretty much anything, just imagine the “escape” solutions (softening the ground so barry can’t follow, icing up the floor even etc.)
what i’m saying is that these characters were MEANT to counter barry’s speed, stop making it so that pure chance and luck get them out of these inescapable situations. were all my points too hard to grasp or too difficult to come up with? i think not.
For reference, Black Flash had Eobard Thawne of all people 💩ing his pants for the entirety of season 2 of Legends of Tomorrow. So the fact that Barry was able to do this to it in its own domain is laughable.

"There's nowhere to run." (Criminal gets away) The Flash stares and does a shocked Pikachu face. -Every Flash (CW) episode ever.
Maybe;
- Make him unable to run at super speed for a long duration of time (stamina he has to build up).
This would also justify him slowing down to properly communicate with his team for any information they could give him (names, addresses, a newly discovered weakness, etc)
- Don't make magic handcuffs that shuts down any meta's powers instantly.
With just that one comment you're already a better writer than all of the series' writers together.
The problem is with all these drawbacks flash would be basically useless againat villains, he wouldnt be able to defeat any of his villains.

Instead they all the characters come off as a complete assholes, and while that is true in regards to their sheer stupidity and the fact they make the same mistakes over and over again, the bit with Savitar has them all come off as nothing more then douchbags.

"No I am going to serve the plot"
FLASH: *walter white fall over*
Honestly even if Barry did always relocate them there are many ways to still create conflict
Often times Barry goes after a villain immediately after learning they exist and rarely has any knowledge of who they are and what they can do during their first encounter
So if he were to relocate them, it’d be easy to explain them escaping by saying that, since they didn’t know about their powers, the cell they’re in isn’t specially built to handle that specific power and thus use said power to escape
For example, let’s say that Magenta was immediately relocated. Star Labs hasn’t had a Force wielding Meta Human before and thus she could break out of her cell by using the Force to make the glass explode or force the door off its hinges or something
Or, since Star Lab cells are made of glass, and all glass is at least SOMEWHAT reflective, Mirror Man could’ve warped into his cell door on one side and warped out on the other to escape
Still, he could've just thrown a punch regardless.
1.That would still fall apart immediately after the first time since they'd be aware regular cells can't hold them
2. The star labs cell can hold any Meta. I wouldn't be surprised if magenta couldn't manipulate anything outside, And the mirror master could use the reflective surface to move around the inside but couldn't ever get out. Kinda like that girl who could teleport but couldn't teleport outside the cell
Villains who could actually counter barry and make the show good:
A Yoshikage-Kira type guy who never is at the scene of the crime, detonating things remotely and making the flash use LOGIC and his FORENSIC SCIENCE knowledge to locate and capture him.
The problem with the intangible one is that this happened and he ran at him and stopped.
I think even young justice in season two did the guy with the are of effect power and it worked.
Also a person who can manipulate time (technically time and speed are two sides of the same coin), which levels the playing field, although not technically a speedster
@@toymaster4041 OK but what if he was tangible nearly 24/7 and needed to be tracked, only it's nearly impossible since he can go through walls.
@Cristofer Andrade and this us why jojo great. Though sometimes.
Edit: season 5 episode 19 where, SPOILERS,
Barry and Iris argue over Nora
was the scene where barry and iris fought in season five over nora?
@@sapphirethesapphic yep that’s it! Thank you. Absolutely love his acting in that scene, shows off his true potential

I just watched that scene thanks to you. Oh my god, it's so good, I almost forgot how bad this show is
It's sad how this has more story telling and better character development than the actual show

Y’know a thought just struck me. How funny would it have been if this remained the plan, Wally was indeed fast enough and Savitar for whatever reason refused to speed react to him. Was Wally just gonna try and, shoulder bash, Savitar? The ginormous hunk of metal?
I think the idea was for Wally to grab iris not attack savitar
@@rykergunns7877Well no since in this clip Wally is litteraly body slamming Barry who is posing has Savitar so no that was their plan.
*sees how ineffectual Savitar is despite how OP he's supposed to be:* I'll give him this. He's consistent.
*sees Wally is doing the same:* _Oh god! It's contagious!_
It turns out the only person more inconsistent and nonsensical than Barry, is Barry.
"I used nonsense to destroy nonsense" -Savitar, probably
Haven't seen you in a long time. I've only been seeing the guy without the moustache.
@ shameless channel plug
Lol ur more consistent having comments on the vids I watch then the episodes of flash
One punch man started as a webcomic famous for its low quality art. The thing that carried the story, and turned it into an international phenomenon, was the writing. The creator of the series started it as a small project, but it turned into the icon that it is because he put so much effort into the writing.
Of course having the manga drawn by Yusuke Murata, a god tier manga artist, just raised the quality of the series even more. One Punch Man is great.
@@sirapple589 Murata is not a God tier, he IS the God
@@sirapple589 second season was pretty meh tho. Not bad but just not as good as the first one so abit dissapointing
@@illansuu9572 that was because they made a whole season about the start of a new arc. Like the arc just really began and then the ended the season.
@@xeibei4804 and even then it was good lol.
I love how the only consistent thing is that all Barry’s of all timelines need to stop to talk, and thats exactly why Savitar stops to talk too
The funny thing is: Wally is canonically not only FASTER than Barry, but also THE FASTEST speedster to ever exist
I thought the thinker would be like this..... I was wrong.....
@@BobMcBobJr This is some cool Jojo-like stuff right here! I like your creativity! 😄
For instance:
Why does Barry slow down in fights?
That's actually smart
Thank you random internet genius for your words of wisdom 🙏🙏🙏
@volantredx none of it mater if he can run to reach the vilians,he could catch them and then catch a breath,it makes no sense to stop just before the vilian, and he relocate people multiple times so it's already shown it doesn't matter if he their body is suitable for that
Basically, like almost all OP powers, give it significant drawbacks and limitations. But that would be good writing and I think that's illegal on the CW.
Exactly. It's just lazy writing
the more I watch of this the more I'm realizing that the power-dampening cuffs are the dumbest idea this show ever had, someone on the writing staff went "yeah, let's add a device that's an easily accessible one-shot K.O. to almost every villain, this won't cause plot problems"
Young justice handles a similar concept way better having the villains have inside help to escape
Yeah, it really is a dumb idea and kinda pointless too, since he can just relocate people to Star Labs where they have prison cells with the fucking effect...
They could have at least invented some BS excuse like:
"They're very complex and difficult to make, it takes weeks to make just one pair of cuffs"
If you're feeling useless, just remember that "power dampening cuffs" exist

@@wingnightbackwards only in season 3, she’s been called frost ever since
The speed's inconsistency always bothered me
On one hand you have Barry clocking in at Massively Hypersonic and lightspeed by dodging and sometimes even blitzing literal photon beams and lightning multiple times in seasons 1 and 2 (Light/photons travel at mach 881,743 or in that 870k-885k range depending on your scientific source and lightning is ranged from mach 100+ up to near mach 1000, again depending on your source but my most used speed reference for lightning is mach 287) and then you have season 3 saying stuff like "Barry, you've finally reached mach 3"
@@thec-m oh yea I remember seeing clips from that episode
@@TheModeler99 well nah but he's genuinely reacted to light and lightning even after they've been fired
Sometimes at point blank range
I fully believe that it's a law of the universe in "The Flash" that speedsters cannot use their speed unless they say at LEAST 3 whips to the bad guy, and absolutely CANNOT under no circumstances use the element of surprise, or else they lose their speed powers forever
It's either that or getting connected to the speed force immediately makes you a narcissist that cannot go without hearing their own voice for more than 30 seconds at a time
