the "Ice D*ck" episode has got to be the most narratively confusing episodes of the show i've ever watched, i had to watch it like three times to make sense of ANYTHING

i really appreciate the way my man analyzed all of the details of the way mark acts and constantly works to distance himself from his father. it was really interesting and it honestly helped me understand mark better as a character.

I feel like what most people love about it is purely how real it feels. Whether we like it or not, these types of activities and behaviors are extremely common among teenagers and this is one of most accurate media portrayals I have seen. The characters and trying to find themselves in the world and I think that’s what makes it so good in most peoples eyes.

As an lgbtq woman and a Harlivy shipper, the fact that Ivy and Harley's romantic relationship started out with cheating and pretty much being 90% physical turned me off. It just seemed to come out of nowhere. The argument that ' They're villains and that makes it okay' doesn't sit right with me, considering that they are two gay traumatized women, and considering that lesbian physical action has been fetishized for years. Also the fact that as soon as the relationship started all of a sudden all the characters became a joke? I loved the idea that in season 1 Harley made all these friends and made a team, but they were all thrown aside as soon as Harley and ivy kissed for the first time because they weren't the main characters.

It kinda reminds me of that weird movie that came out in 1995 called kids

The ``i thought you were stronger`` implies both at the same time... If Ang was stronger and could take a proper beating - then Mark`s outburst would have not been as brutal as it turned out to be... If Ang could take his beating and come out just bruised or defeated or even just worn down a bit - the whole scenario would have just been a ``good fight`` instead of Mark cosplaying a meat-grinder for a while, which in turn would not make it out as if Mark had acted out as Nolan in his brutality but would have been again - a good fight with a strong opponent... The two are kinda inseparable - if Ang is weak it is a massacre should Mark give in, but even if Mark gives in but Ang can take it, then it is deceptively okay as the outcome would have been less brutal... It is a fallacy when observed from that point of view, but hey, here it is...

This entire season really felt like ''MAN BAD!!! WOMAN GOOD!!!!!'' with a little bit of ''SOMEONE ON WRITERS ROOM HAS A FOOT FETISH'' istg in the first 3 reasons I never noticed any instance of feet having a focus put on em but in season 4 I can remember multiple times where we just get a closeup on ivy's bare feet, fucking w h y. Also ofc them retconning every previous season for no reason, like shark guy saying he doesn't like to bite people in season 1, then after the episode where they kidnap robin his body count ends up hitting like 20-30 with how many people he bites clean in half with no problem!! Also how come every character is completely butchered? Nora goes from being tragic to being a literal drunken whore, they killed off mr freeze in 1 episode, the only enjoyable villain out of all the guys they had to kill for her? Clayface went from being fun to completely and utterly annoying once he turned to a d.va. psycho is just... not really even in the show anymore luthor becomes a joke, ivy is the most annoying feminist ever and she's only on screen when she's either A. bitching about men or B. creating drama with harley alfreds the funniest character by far at this point but he just gets some steven universe level slave complex where he cannot live without his master joker.... joker........ joker. I've never seen a show where the last 3 episodes of it are the most grueling boring part of the entire 4 seasons of the show, I'd rather watch bane fuck buildings while random ppl are fucking in the streets because harley is awful for another 40 minutes at this point

9:30 Another thing I just noticed is that Cecil is kinda forcing Mark to clean up after his father. Both the Manbat and Fish Queen missions are both things that are a result of what Omniman did. I think Cecil might be trying to help Mark make up for his father's actions here to make Mark feel better and like he's actually helping.

Most people probably won't get this (including Invincible's Writer), but 'Alcohol Abuse' is NOT the same as what we call 'Alcoholism'. Aloohol itself is an addictive drug, so some people will get hooked on it on THAT basis alone. Our Culture tells us that 'Alcoholism' is this Bugbear that you can 'Live With' but will NEVER get past. That is at best a misunderstanding and at worst, an outright lie. Many people, because Alcohol is one of our few powerful legal drugs, will use it to self-medicate problems both physical and mental/emotional. IF those underlying problems are taken care of, a person can, and often does, end using Booze as a Crutch. The myth of 'Alcoholism' says this isn't possible. Again, this is not true. I myself fell into the bottom of a bottle for nearly a decade, to help with an issue. When an alternate and much better help became available, I stopped not only drinking, but WANTING to drink. I haven't 'drank' for 15 years now and even though I have had a few drinks over those years, I had no interest in picking up the bottle as a crutch again. This also, is something that 'Alcoholism' says isn't possible. It keeps people in fear for the rest of their lives, and ironically many people because of that fear, fall back into the habit of serious drinking. (As in- 'Oh No! I've had a few drinks! I've broken my Sobriety! I'll never be clean! Oh Well. It doesn't matter then, I'm such a failure.' and start drinking in earnest.)
