Just bought one and my first impression is that it’s a great, simple way to mount your phone. Easy to read and out of the way.
BMW has released their own phone mount called ConnectedRide cradle now which attaches to the navigation mount. It is BT enabled and with your phone having connected app, pair with new cradle, it turns like a Navigator and can control from the rotary handlebar wheel and menu switches.

What is the maximum thickness allowed for the smartphone and its waterproof case? Yours seems to exceed the space under the notches.

I’ve been watching a lot of videos and they all seem to assume you’ve got a SatNav mount. I’ve got a stock 2011 G650GS and I’d like either a SatNav or iPhone mount. The dealer is useless as they’re just too busy. Please tell me where to begin from stock including part names and numbers, if possible? Cheers!
Is this gonna fit for BMW F900R 2021 pre-installed navigation cradle or holder ????
I have a 2022 BMW S1000XR with the navigation mount like on the GS. I can use the same Navigator IV on both my R1200GS and the S1000XR. But I'm not 100% certain this adapter will fit my S1000XR, since the description doesn't list my model. Any idea if this adapter would fit my S1000XR?
after installing this on my bmw F900xr the cruise control stopped working. I took the phone mount off and my cruise control started to work fine. any suggestions...? the thing is drawing 12v energy away from bike.
As far as I can tell they're totally independent systems. On the f850gs the connection for the gps prep to the bike is located underneath the fairing next to the right side mirror, maybe check that is secure. Maybe also check that your cables connected to the battery are secure and tight. If you have a buddy with the standard bmw navigation put that in and see if the same thing happens, if so, it could be a short in your system somewhere

None of these aftermarket satnav adaptor cradles actually work that well. If you have a 2021 or newer iPhone, the buttons get compressed, the chargers aren't compatible with Apple. The BMW version is better but is stupidly priced like all things BMW. Not withstanding that I love my 2022 r1250gs Rallye. Best is to remove the BMW sat nave cradle completely, and buy a proper phone mount.
it seems this thing is useless by design. it prevents any button presses on the top for screen unlock or volume, and if you rotate the phone so the top is at the usb ports so you can use buttons on that side, then you cannot charge it.
If you connected it to the TFT, then you can operate the phone via the TFT screen and the handlebar rotary control.

Fortunately every single motorcycle in the world has one.

It’s working great so far. It hasn’t been in rain yet. Haven’t had any issues charging android or iPhone phones.
