R.I.P. good sir. I learned of your passing last week and was devastated to hear. Prayers for you and your family. Thank you for the amazing content all these years.
So beautiful, so far away from Australia....also never underestimate a GS...very capable bike on and off road with the correct tyres and mates to help you pick them up when they have a little lie down.
I was there too around Jan 20 to 26 of this year. I also end up stuck just like at 7:57, but I was alone. There was some workers around but no one helped me, it's really hard to get the bike out of this in 4300m and alone. I recommend to go with someone always, I got lucky and was able to get to 2000m before I get sick. Also I was sick for the rest of the day with low o2. Shit can be bad alone, be careful
Guys, thanks for videos. Thinking about switch myself from Harley to bmw GS1250 - how you ship your bikes to the places your travel, lets say to Africa or to/from Europe? What carrier do you use?
Just amazing! This is going on the bucket list. One ask. Please hold the photos longer. You have a shot of the other rider going through the desert and it lasts 3 seconds. Its an amazing clip and should be going for at least a minute. That way as a viewer we feel on the ride with you. Hold those moments for longer and really savor them - both you and us. Thank you for this. Just amazing.
I learned to drive in those roads, I know them like the back of my hand, my first advice is when you see the fesh fesh cross it fast, its like crossing a pool of powder so cross it fast and in the sand use low pressure on the tires, by the way I own an original Dakar roadbook from Antofagasta to Copiapo, anyway great route, saludos desde Antofagasta
Stunning journey. Could you please tell me what you used for shipping your bikes to Chile and how much it cost you? This is a trip me and my friends want to do and would love to get your advice.
Thank you. There were some sections in the Atacama where there was a long distance between the gas stations, but it was not such a s big problem. You need to have cash, because the remote gas stations don t accept credit cards, and that's it. I had a 2 litre fuel reserve on my GS and I'd say it's enough.
Congratulations for The trip and for one of the most beautiful trip videos I’ve ever seen. I live in Brazil & I’m planning to make this trip, but on my bike, all The way from My home city, São Paulo, and I haverá drone too, so I’m so excited after seeing your video. Tks a lot for sharing and inspiring us.
Foarte tare!!!! asta este primul videovlog vazut cu voi si tare m-am bucurat ca ai vorbit in romana, norocul meu este ca eu caut modelul asta de motor si asa am dat de voi …|Bravo voua si la cate mai multe plimbari ...
You guys must have enjoyed your time there. I would only dream of just doing a tenth of this. But there is something that I can't find on YT. No one seems to have filmed the process through which all this happened. I mean transferring the bikes for example, paper work, budgeting and all that. Thank you for the effort in editing this amazing video. I really loved it. Cheers from Saudi Arabia
I just love your vids. One thing keeps wondering in my mind. Why are you guys are not using proper mud tires? You end up in really fantastic places, but keep pushing yourselves in a lot of trouble because your bikers are not equipped well enough. Help me out :-))
The part of your video, when you've stuck in the sand, reminded me of my worst day. I've done 70km solo riding heavy loaded motorbike, when I attempted to cross that desert from Atacama to Uyuni in Bolivia. It was my toughest ride ever. I've done the route you covered I think and even stayed in the same posada in San Pedro - watch my adventure in the Solo on Moto film.
Yes. Three other films, actually. Now we're preparing the Peru film which will be uploaded on Tuesday. Subscribe and you'll be notified when it appears.
Yeah, actually, I can pick it up by myself if necessary... But, why bother when I have my friends with me? :) Anyway, I know what you mean. These big adventure bikes with all that luggage are too heavy for going off-road. You're right.
The story line and shots are enjoyable but you need to adjust the lightning and color saturation, in reality, the light is much brighter in the Atacama Desert!
R.I.P. good sir. I learned of your passing last week and was devastated to hear. Prayers for you and your family. Thank you for the amazing content all these years.
Source?
Yes sadly true , accident in Romania.
RIP Sir. Thank you for such wonderful videos.
I could watch it 100 times without be bored
So beautiful, so far away from Australia....also never underestimate a GS...very capable bike on and off road with the correct tyres and mates to help you pick them up when they have a little lie down.
This is one of best adventure video that I've ever seen for a while
To be continued bro.. 👍👍👍👍🚲🚲🚲
I don't know how you guys do not have a million subscribers your videos are amazing.

also, after that I learned that you can tie a piece of wood at the rear tire so it spins and pull the motorcycle, it's 100% guaranteed

Thanks for the feedback, Sia - we'll keep that in mind for our next videos.
That Trombone at the beginning is an English custom made horn made by Rath. It's a 3,000 dollar (American) horn. Sweet!
Just thinking would a rope ladder be any good for getting out of sand
Bravo baieti!
Buna ideea cu drona.
How you shipping motorcycle to the south america ?
What do you think about the E1 helmet? Any vibrations or buffeting from the GSA windscreen?

Gentlemen fantastic video. Question: did you have any issues locating gasoline?? Did you pack any extra fuel bottles/canisters? Thanks.

Cool ride, but I wouldn't go anywhere on a bike I can't pick up by myself. Good thing you went as a group.
Yeah, actually, I can pick it up by myself if necessary... But, why bother when I have my friends with me? :) Anyway, I know what you mean. These big adventure bikes with all that luggage are too heavy for going off-road. You're right.
You guys did only 1.100km in this trip? Eleven hundred you said on the last video in Argentina.
madke666 11.000km he corrected...
Why stuck in the beach??? Wow.. stuck in Road!?? "Otsukare-samadesu" Cheer for good work...

Sweet, I'm glad I found this channel a while back!
The story line and shots are enjoyable but you need to adjust the lightning and color saturation, in reality, the light is much brighter in the Atacama Desert!

Nothing as gloomy or scary as the music makes you feel!
