In todays video I go over the camera system on the Xiaomi 14 Ultra.
Is the Xiaomi 14 Ultra the best camera phone ever made? In this in-depth review, we put the phone's Leica-engineered quad-camera system to the test, capturing photos and videos in all sorts of lighting conditions.
I break down the strengths and weaknesses of the camera, including:
Sensor performance: I'll dive deep into the massive main sensor and see how it handles low-light situations and detail.
Leica magic: Explore the unique aesthetic and color science produced by Leica's collaboration with Xiaomi.
Zoom capabilities: See how far you can zoom in without sacrificing quality with the phone's multiple telephoto lenses.
Is the Xiaomi 14 Ultra the right camera phone for you? Watch my review to find out!

Xiaomi 14 Ultra 👑👑👑👑👑
The Xiaomi 14 Ultra 50MP full res and 8k video main camera. Is the best cameraphone quality ever to date.
Great video ❤👌🏽
great video, I come from China, follow a lot of American digital product kol, so that my English level can be improved
不错不错朋友
How is it performing on social media Mark? Is it better now like s24 ultra?
Great video again great shots. How the exposure of human subjects, because ins some videos I have xioami is overexposing human subjects especially in portraits with higher contrast which ia not making the photos look good
Variable Aperture ❤
first❤ i love ur videos❤❤❤
Mark u have the camera kit ?
Hi Mark, thank you for the informative review. One thing though, you have got depth of field wrong. It's absolutely the opposite of your description from 2 minutes to 2 minutes 10 seconds. To quote Canon "Depth of field factors. The lens aperture is the easiest way to control depth of field. The rule is simple: the smaller the aperture (that is, the bigger the f-number), the greater the depth of field. For example, f/16 will give you a more extensive depth of field than f/4."
Thanks
Shallow depth of field is nice when you want to isolate your subject from the background with blur. It is, however, a problem when you want to keep the background in focus along with the foreground, especially when the camera, with its larger sensor, can only stop down to f4...
Absolutely right! I have the same problem... which didn't happen with my Pixel 6 Pro. I guess you just have to shoot slightly wider than you want and then crop. The only other flaw with this phone is a paradox. It has the best display I've seen till date but it scratches very easily! Fancy tempered glass. I have never had a display scratch in 20+ years of using smartphones so I was shocked! I have never used a screen guard either. I'm used to keeping fragile camera lenses clean... Been doing that for 44 years! It should have Gorilla Glass Victus or Victus II !
In just one month, I have several scratches... I would still have bought this phone but I would asked for a screen guard while buying it. Re aperture, stopping down to f/4 in low light, results in shake, noise or both. I'm sure I don't need to explain to you but let me know incase...
I've had the phone for ~ 3 weeks now... I just used it for some indoor party pics in a badly lit but bright enough interior with mixed, different temperature colour sources. No matter, I just did the WB post with my gut. The problem I can do nothing about is the quality! I couldn't use the Night Mode as people aren't very still, at parties especially! I didn't use Pro mode so I could pinch to the exact frame I wanted (and get all 12mn pixels) rather than use fixed focal lengths. So I just used 'Photo' and the results are horrible quality! Any advice / suggestions?
Have you tried reviewing the Sony Xperia 1 V?
Is it better than oppo find x7 ulta ? And sould we wait for vivo x100 ultra coming up next may ???
Yes, it is better than the Oppo Find X7 Ultra, but Vivo is a beast. I think their cameras are close to each other, but Xiaomi is a better phone overall and you get more software updates.
What's the total camera zoom?
Hace you experienced infamous foggy camera lens on this phone? Or in regular 14
Will go that foggy think take the SIM tray few times out and start a video in 4k few minutes and will go
Can you throw the OnePlus 12 in the camera comparison mix you said you would do? I am trying to decide between the 14 Ultra and the OnePlus 12. As of now, I am not seeing the Xiaomi having cameras superior enough to warrant the several hundred dollar premium.
Just get a Xiaomi 14 Ultra imported from china. You can get one for around 1000$ with EU Rom.
I would definitely buy this if it wasn't for the lens fogging
Watching this video on my Xiaomi 14 Ultra..
The camera is foggy ? I’m about to buy this phone but I’m still like in a doubt .
How much you like this phone
Xiaomi 14 ultra vs vivo ultra which one, you think good 😊
this is just a camera with a phone attached to it
Haha
True
Personally, I am most interested in another function. Mr Whos the boss showed AI Zoom in Xiaomi. Where the phone sharpened close-ups thanks to AI. I've been waiting for something like this since the S22 Ultra. Maybe it's not quite it yet, but it's a million times better step in using AI than all this Samsung marketing gibberish. These are the functions that AI should be used for. Please test this function.
An amazing review, but for somoen who interested to take videos for reels is This good option?... My guess IPhone still the king
Yeah, the iPhone wins
Sorry I'll be that guy, but I have to ask - iPhone 15 Pro Max and Xiaomi 14 Ultra camera comparison coming? xD
Oppo find x7 ultra
Great to see you again Mark! The only reason I can't buy Xiaomi phones is because they are from China and might suck in our data.
I'm sorry but what will they do with your data? If you're never gonna visit china anyways why does it matter? If your card information somehow gets stolen you can just call your bank and get your money back🤷
It might be true, but one must consider the influence of US propaganda. To be honest, why should you trust your data with companies like Google or Meta?
I mean like they could use it for anything,
they could sell it to hackers or we might get in some other troubles that we are not even a part of. Why get in the trouble in the first place?
Xiaomi and other chineese mobile makers is known for hijacking data and sending it over to some chineese servers. It's creepy that Xiaomi earlier had permission to view your screen activity and record touches on the mobile screen.
@@lezgo3003 In trouble were not part of? I doubt so. Xiaomi has pretty good security ngl. Apple has far more breaches than Xiaomi too🤷
No one wishes to talk about the sub par software or conveniently is skipping out. A good phone is an optimal combination of both the camera hardware and the software and timely updates. only time will tell whether updates will be given on time. Hyper OS is nothing but a rebranded MIUI and is what MIUI was.
They had their issues with software and have since moved on and improved, much like years ago before the Mi8 was just copying...... Now they are innovating and leading..... Get with the times! Is it the best software, hell NO, but is it as bad as everyone makes it out to be, well definitely NOT, and most haters haven't even used it to begin with 🙄
It's shit, the camera fogs up, and Xiaomi ignores the problem, it has bugs, advertising and calls don't work, it gets hot and the battery doesn't last at all. See Amazon reviews, I returned it in a week. Review rigged and kicked, does not tell the truth, the photos are the same as those of any high-end, but overexposed, the night mode is garbage. DISLIKE 👎
