The linked recipe doesn't match this video. Just in case you want a written version, I took some notes:
    2 cup flour
    1 cup sugar
    1 t kosher salt
    2 t baking powder
    1 t baking soda
    1/4 t cardamom, 1/2 t cinnamon
    3 ripe banana
    3 eggs
    1 stick butter
    1/3 c buttermilk
    chocolate chips or nuts.

This banana bread recipe is all you need forever. The spices take it to another level. It comes out perfect every single time I tried it. I froze the banana on my second attempt of making it and yes it made a whole lot of difference.

Been making this for a while. Best banana bread recipe out there.
One thing I changed from this recipe is that I use lemon + milk instead of buttermilk. Makes it more airy and soft.
Also, I found better results following the recipe in the video vs the website. The one I made from the video rises more in the oven, though falls apart more easily when I'm eating it.

I followed the video and the result I got is great! thank you very much! I just replaced 1 cup of sugar for 1/2 cup of brown sugar. It was the best banana bread I have ever baked! Paulina.

Did you split half white and half brown sugar or did you replace the whole cup with 1/2 cup of brown sugar?

Made this yesterday and the crumb texture was perfect. Definitely the best banana bread recipe I've found so far. Instead of the chocolate chips, though, I substituted approximately 75g of toasted, chopped walnuts instead. The cardomon was a great addition too. I can see this being my go to recipe for years to come. Loved it! 🥰

Made this today. For decades I've been making the recipe I got from my mom -- and loved it. But tried this and it's amazing. Just as easy to make, rose like a dream and perfect texture. I don't care for chocolate in my quick breads so used toasted pecans instead. Fabulous.

I have tried this recipe, awesome proportions for dry and wet ingredients. The final product is really moist and soft.! Probably the bananas in Malaysia are relatively sweet. I reduced the sugar to half a cup, wonderful. Replaced chocolate chips to roasted walnut, love it! 💕

I did a gluten free banana bread recipe that asked for melted extra-virgin coconut oil and I loved both the aroma and taste. It does not cause a truly coconut flavor but it does give it a nutty and sweet aroma and taste.

Another spice recommendation that many people overlook: Chinese 5-Spice powder! It's absolutely wonderful in baked goods, from cookies to spice cake to sweetened breads like this one.

    • @SuzanneBaruch
      @SuzanneBaruch 5 ปีที่แล้ว

@@vitaly.petkevich if stores in your area don't sell this, you can order it from the internet. Alternatively, you can always make a batch of your own. There are a number of recipes for 5 spice powder on the internet, including on You Tube. Here in the US, it's easy to find in most supermarkets, so many people here may already have it if they do a lot of Asian style cooking.
