No he was not allowed to do those ever again. His doctors came to his home. Every week he had to check in, to make sure. So that’s impossible. The reason he checked himself in was the drink, it was not his friend. He also stated that with letterman. Facts that Robin said him self. Another fact I found amazing he came up with most of the voices and impressions before that stage. He was a young child when he came up with the voices and impressions.
He was extremely talented, a joy to watch. Very sad that he could make legions of people laugh but he felt so alone. Very sad for us all to lose someone like him.
I was blessed to find this video today, looking for some laughter after a difficult Christmas Day. My heart still weeps for this gifted storyteller and actor, who left us too soon and clearly understood the deep loneliness and woundedness our culture continues to propagate. He gave of himself abundantly to help us heal with laughter. Rest in peace, Brother Robin.....and I hope to laugh with you again on the other side of this hell!
I would put Robin in the Top 10 Greatest Comedians that ever lived List & near the Top. He was also a Fantastic Dramatic Actor as well. Hard to believe it's been almost 10 years that he's been gone.

One amazing and incredible artist, person ,and actor. 🤗♥️🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇♥️🤗 🙏R.I.P AND REST IN HEAVEN🙏 We have lost a very valuable, precious and very talented human being.
Robin Williams was a singular comic genius who could make anything out of anything. His energy and incredible talent were unmatched. Despite his struggles with depression, he turned his pain into humor, creating moments that were both funny and deeply human. He was a seminal talent that no one could replicate, leaving a lasting impact on comedy and film.
Edit: I wrote this comment 2 years ago, thanks guys for the likes and nice thoughts on Robin. Him perfectly recreating the look of the sped-up old footage of Teddy Roosevelt is incredible and a testament to his truly special abilities.
I am so glad others loved that Roosevelt imitation. It's weird because I don't think a lot of people have seen the silent film footage. I thought I was the only one cracking up.
He has got to be the quickest wit ever. It's incredible how quickly he can rattle off. But, even when he isn't acting zany or cracking a joke, he has this warmth to his voice that is so soothing. Perhaps it's because he's such a prominent fixture from the earliest stages of my life. He's almost like a family member you love. Gone for 5 years now, but I'm still laughing. And that's what makes him legendary.
If you follow his daughter Zelda's Twitter feed, she'll sometimes will post a joke that sounds like something Robin would've come up with on the fly, so he's still there in some form.

I was heartbroken when I heard that Robin Williams was dead. He took a piece of my heart with him when he passed. He excelled at everything he did. From serious motion pictures to a zany weekly TV series. I miss him.
Robin, it’s been 4 years, and I’ll never be over your passing. Simply thinking about you still brings me to tears. You were my best idol. You helped me learn what my passion was, from a very young age. I don’t remember a time in my life where I didn’t know you. You’d been a part of my life for as long as I could remember. I never thought much about how the death of a celebrity would impact me, until it was you. I’ll never forget the day my dad yelled up the stairs at me, to tell me you had passed. He and I cried together. I denied it, at first, thinking it was just another celebrity death hoax. Robin Williams COULDN’T die, he just COULDN’T. If only you knew how much the world misses you, Robin. You were beloved by so many people. Your legacy will forever live on in our hearts. I’ll never forget how your eyes just lit up, every time you smiled. May your beautiful soul Rest In Peace, Robin Williams.

For anyone saying the only reason Robin succeeded was by using cocaine, I think they're wrong. That 'upper' might have made him more manic onstage, but his intellect, humor, delivery, cleverness, wit, etc. were always there. The drug does not make you hilarious just because you speed up. All of us on this page (except professional comedians) could use as much coke as Scarface and we couldn't make an audience laugh. And how about his acting roles where he played emotional scenes that didn't depend on being speeded up (in fact, they depended on slowing down). Let's not forget he was a TRAINED actor. He paid his dues. He had all the chops. I read that Steven Spielberg used to call him when he (Spielberg) needed cheering up. He said that Robin always made him laugh and improved his mood. Robin was a national treasure. He played the full gamut of emotions from hyper manic comedian to tragic figures. Very few entertainers have ever been able to make us laugh, cry, and feel everything in between. I've only seen a few Danny Kaye movies, but he strikes me as a precursor to RW. Kaye could have you falling on the floor in a fit of laughter (see the scene in The Court Jester where his coat of armor gets magnetized via a lightning bolt and he is pulled toward any metal), and then have you wiping a tear. I'm selfishly sorry that RW left us. I would love to see more Robin Williams movies (from when he was in his prime),. But fate plays no favorites. I know I'm in the minority on this, but my fav movies of his are Bicentennial Man and Dead Poets Society. (Oh Captain, my Captain!). He was the kind of entertainer that comes along maybe once in a generation. It's a shame he went out from a disease that took away his mind and body. He knew if he didn't end his life himself, he could look forward only to more and more terrible things happening to him. I don't begrudge him his decision. And I don't begrudge him his use of 'performance enhancing' drugs. As someone once said, if you're against all drug use, then throw away most of your favorite music albums, including the Beatles. RIP Mister Williams. And thank you.

If someone died no matter who they were or what they did, u have no right to say that the only thing he deserves is to be forgotten. U don’t that he have been through severe depression before he died, and if u think that someone like him who has made enormous successes during his life and has put so many smiles on people’s faces and gave hope to people through his amazing movies only deserves to be forgotten, then I think that u shouldn’t be treated any other less way right after u die and be forgotten 👌🏻Be careful with ur words mate!

Been sitting here splitting my sides laughing so hard...Elvis may have been the King of rock & roll but Robin was the king of comedy. RIP Robin.
ROBIN WAS FUNNY BECAUSE HE WAS PERPETUALLY STONED ON COCAINE.
TRUE FACT.
@@drServitis He gave up cocaine in 1982. Learn the "true facts."
@@dappe2 So why did Robin check himself into a rehab clinic in Minnesota THE YEAR HE DIED? Even this video I include here has him admitting he was doing drugs 20 years after 1982, the year you say he quit
th-cam.com/video/2HYehrSA-Ew/w-d-xo.html You have no reason to worship this guy. Just a scofflaw drug user who supported drug cartels through his purchases.
...and then there's Rodney Dangerfield
No he was not allowed to do those ever again. His doctors came to his home. Every week he had to check in, to make sure. So that’s impossible. The reason he checked himself in was the drink, it was not his friend. He also stated that with letterman. Facts that Robin said him self.
Another fact I found amazing he came up with most of the voices and impressions before that stage. He was a young child when he came up with the voices and impressions.
He was extremely talented, a joy to watch. Very sad that he could make legions of people laugh but he felt so alone. Very sad for us all to lose someone like him.
Many comedians are shy and/or lonely when they are not "on". I will never understand this. Robin brought such joy to so many.
The noises he does in when describing his son on the computer is just incredible. I had to keep rewatching it.
Sad bastard
Same here
Love him. Robin Williams was my favorite.
I can imagine Robin and his daughter's boyfriend alone in a room waiting for her and while they wait Robin would be threatening him in all sorts of different accents and voices. 😂😂😂😂
Not all dads go Hollywood on prospective boyfriends.
Amen to that .
YEAH!!! Doing Italian Donald Duck and on and on - just make you laugh and freak out until you have to say "Zelda, gotta go"
@@twohamburgers Imagine him doing threats as Elmer Fudd. I'm not sure if that's terrifying or brilliant.
I would think if you went there to take out his daughter and Robin started to talk to you it may take a long time to leave.
Every time I see a video of Robin, I experience joy and then sadness because I miss him and his unbelievable talent.
One amazing and incredible artist, person ,and actor.

🙏R.I.P AND REST IN HEAVEN🙏
We have lost a very valuable, precious and very talented human being.
Who else misses and loves Robin Williams?
The whole world is missing him dearly 😢
Big time!!!
Watching this in 2021 to try and lift my spirits and thinking of how grateful we all were to have him even for a little while. 🖤
Oh yes Steph
I am grateful for you
I'm sure there people in your life grateful to have you as well.
Edit: I wrote this comment 2 years ago, thanks guys for the likes and nice thoughts on Robin.
Him perfectly recreating the look of the sped-up old footage of Teddy Roosevelt is incredible and a testament to his truly special abilities.
Incredible
Oh man that cracked me up
That is the best recreation of silent film I have ever scene. He absolutely does it so darn perfectly well. Cracked me up too.
I know, I roared when he did that!
I am so glad others loved that Roosevelt imitation. It's weird because I don't think a lot of people have seen the silent film footage. I thought I was the only one cracking up.
The world loved him. Deeply missed all over. He made everybody laugh like no other could.
Unique and a great loss to humanity.
The world lost so much when Robin passed. He was one of the most talented person ever. I miss him so much. RIP! my friend.
He looks so happy here one of the best actors all time RIP Robin William's.
Seriously he's never out of material. He could go like this forever!! I loved this man 😔
He has got to be the quickest wit ever.
Beautifully said. He was a gem of a man.
The Best!!!!! Ever!!!!!!! Love you Robin. You'll make people crap their pants laughing even from beyond the grave!!!!
Is and always will be my favorite Actor. Love this man. Made me laugh and understand that laughter is a key someone's enlightenment. R.I.P 🥰🥰🥰❤
You did not have to go, Robin! We miss you so much! A comedic talent that will NEVER be surpassed or imitated. May your spirit rest, Robin!
Never again will there be another like him
well there could be but it will probably be a while
Hopefully soon there will be, the world needs it
If you follow his daughter Zelda's Twitter feed, she'll sometimes will post a joke that sounds like something Robin would've come up with on the fly, so he's still there in some form.

I was heartbroken when I heard that Robin Williams was dead. He took a piece of my heart with him when he passed. He excelled at everything he did. From serious motion pictures to a zany weekly TV series. I miss him.
He is so sadly missed ,,,😢

Awesome entertainer !
Hardly !
Not arguably; definitely!
Robin was one of a kind. I remember being in shock when I learned that we had lost him.
Thankyou Robin for enriching my life with incredible laughter. You are missed
Nate the best comedian/ actor ever miss him and his movies: favorite damn cant remember the name it had cuba gooding jr in it where his children died in a car crash and wife couldnt take it and committed suicide and when he died he went to hell to bring her to heaven People what was the name of that movie

Also... I have tried to head the words of Robin's Character, "Mr. John Keating" from his Robert Frost Quote... "Two Roads Diverge in a woods... and I, i took the one less traveled by and it has made ALL the Difference!" I also... as MUCH as Possible...
