About sunscreen: Hi Hyram! A couple weeks ago my skin started to get really dry. And I mean DRY. My skin cracked and bled. It was horrible. Thanks to my dermathologist my condition is better now. My problem was that I did not know why my skin is acting like that, I had not used any new producs for like 1,5 years. Then I started binge-watching your videos. I learned a lot, and now I think my (now old) sunscream was the problem. It was the Eucerin Sun Oil Control SPF30+ , witch contains Alcohol denat. as a second ingredient. So... I had to find a new suncream, so I went my local pharmacy, and I've found a brand called Uriage. I live in Hungary, so I do not know it's available in the US or not. It's mineral, fragrance free, and does not leave a white layer on my face. It's maybe a little bit thic, but it's very gentle. @@Hyram Another Hungarian checking in, is Uriage Eau Thermale not really a thing there? They're pretty expensive but they're a pharmacy brand and if you ask the pharmacist for a sample of a product, they should give you a tiny tube of it and you don't have to buy the whole bottle. Gotta ask though, because they probably won't offer it unless you bring it up.
Frankly, I came across a lot of reviews about littellextra riceberry moisturizer and face wash before getting it, and it proved to be a great decision. It really gives my skin a radiant look after applying. I use it regularly each morning. The texture is amazing, it sinks into the skin easily without effort and has brightened the skin. Also, it feels so smooth and soft after using it and provides intense moisture. Just make sure to follow up with sunscreen on top, and you’re ready to face the day for the whole day.
my skin looks flawless when i use rice berry face cleanser, serum, along with moisturizer and sunscreen. this is my absolute must have and i can't live without them

Just a caution to people with acne-prone skin: Versed gel moisturizer contains wheat germ oil, which has the highest comedogenic rating of 5. I realized it after I bought the cream and started seeing white heads pop up on my cheeks daily.
@@bilalsathi6914 i have your skin type and i used the hydro boost water gel for a while and it did work for me, but with a few exceptions. it has dye and fragrance so it can be irritating if you have sensitive skin. for me, it also irritated my skin and burned when my skin was sensitive, so it kind of worked? it didn't break me out or clog my pores, but it's also irritating. i would try and avoid it if you have sensitive skin :)

@@444kizzez there are two different types! The dry to extra dry HydroBoost doesn’t have fragrance. I didn’t know this at first and got the fragrance one which is blue and the one without is white. The fragrance one burned my skin but the one without I’ve been using for around 2 years and it’s great! Not too heavy or greasy but gives moisture. I have sensitive,dry, and acne prone skin. Hope this helps! :)

I would love to see a "Best Cleasing Balm" or "Best Makeup Removing Cleanser" video :) I currently use the Simple Micellar Gel Wash which is fine for days when I'm bare faced (w/ a dewy or light sunscreen), but I find that it is not "tough" enough even in times when I'm wearing a heavy sunscreen (let alone a full face)
Try Pond's Cold Cream, good for both oily and dry skin. I have dry skin and i usually do a double cleanse afterwards, but if youre dry, just wipe the cold cream off. Takes of my Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation and waterproof liner. :)
The Good Molecules cleansing balm is the best I have tired (farmacy, elemis, etc). It has one questionable fragrance ingredient, but it works better than anything I have tried and it doesn't burn my eyes at all. I think it's around $15!
You should try watching @Beauty Within she makes really good videos for all, skin types too and as someone who had VERY DRY and acne prone skin I recommend her channel.
Bought the elf one the other day and my first thought after reading the ingredients was "I think Hyram would approve". I'm glad I was right and honestly I love it.

Have you tried using a fat based cream before you go in the water? Than mild cleanser after, hyaluronic based gel and then a fat based cream on top to seal. I have good experience with cerave and udderly beautiful but then my hair and skin become soft from chlorine of I don't go too often. Good luck and don't go during corona phase! Here in Berlin are pools are closed now by emergency order.
For combination and oily skin, the e.l.f. holy hydration face cream (fragrance free) is so great for a day moisturizer. It's so lightweight and sits well under sunscreen and makeup.

I was spending $30 on moisturizers that lasted me maybe a month or two. I was like I cannot do this forever, so I decided to stop using expensive fancy moisturizers and purchased a Cera Ve cream. My skin actually looks BETTER now than it did when I was using the expensive products. It’s amazing, I truly recommend it.

I think finding a good moisturizer is the most difficult part of skin care. I have oily AND sensitive skin which sucks. My face is the perfect environment for pimples. BUT!! I actually found the iUNIK cream on a korean site which ships to my country so YAY! I really looking forward to try it! I’m prescribed that for eczema and tbh it didnt work at first but after I learnt how to do everything else right it started to slowly work, try it for a little longer but if it isn’t working look for something else x

I actually went and purchased E.L.F. "Happy Hydration" and "Holy Hydration" because of this video ! Unfortunately, Happy Hydration was a bit irritating ( maybe an allergic reaction to the Hemp Seed oil ), but the Holy Hydration was much nicer ! Neither was a great moisturizer, but Holy Hydration has impressive ingredients and felt better.

I used to think I had oily skin but come to find out my face was as dehydrated as it could be . I started using the cerave moisturizer and my skin feels and looks great
I just purchased the Cerave lotion and I like it a lot! It's a nice basic lightweight moisturizer and you get more product than the more expensive ones.
Same!!! I actually started using cerave cream by accident because it was all my mom had when visiting. Game changer. The lotion is a lighter version of it but I really like the matte-fying effect of the cream. It's the perfect base for makeup

dont do it! I tried the elf one and it has Isopropyl Isostearate which is comedogenic. It began breaking me out and I NEVER get acne. I have dry skin. PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF
I was surprised Hyram mentioned that elf moisturizer, I checked the list and wasn't impressed, had perfume and some ingredients that are also in mattifying powders? Wack, he never mentions it anywhere else either. When I had very dry flaky red skin from using benzoylperoxide and antibiotics for acne I used the advanced moisturizer from Cetaphil! Cheap and worked like a charm, not greasy.
Wonderful list, Hyram! Have you or anyone else tried the Vanicream line of moisturizers?? Very simple ingredients. No fragrance or dyes and no botanical extracts! 👍🏻 The lite lotion is amazing for face and body!! It has petrolatum but it doesn’t feel heavy on my combination skin at all 🙌🏻

The Aveeno Ultra-Calming Daily Facial Moisturizer with SPF 30 is my ALL TIME favorite sunscreen! it's got a mineral formula, it's fragrance free, and while it does leave a little bit of a white cast once applied, i find that after half an hour or so it does go away. i've been using it for a year while i've been treating my acne with multiple harsh, drying prescription meds and topicals, and it's been SO good to my skin. i love it!

I just bought the neutrogena moisturizer for combination skin that he mentioned and I LOVE IT. I got it yesterday and put it on right away and I have never had my face feel so happy. I usually scratch at my face all day trying to get the gunk off but yesterday THERE WAS NO GUNK. I forgot about my face and went about my day and at the end of the day it was barely oily. I currently use the Simple Micellar Gel Wash which is fine for days when I'm bare faced (w/ a dewy or light sunscreen), but I find that it is not "tough" enough even in times when I'm wearing a heavy sunscreen (let alone a full face)
Try Pond's Cold Cream, good for both oily and dry skin. I have dry skin and i usually do a double cleanse afterwards, but if youre dry, just wipe the cold cream off. Takes of my Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation and waterproof liner. :)
I use the super facialist vit c cleansing oil, it's pretty cheap

The Good Molecules cleansing balm is the best I have tired (farmacy, elemis, etc). It has one questionable fragrance ingredient, but it works better than anything I have tried and it doesn't burn my eyes at all. I think it's around $15!

Have you tried using a fat based cream before you go in the water? Than mild cleanser after, hyaluronic based gel and then a fat based cream on top to seal. I have good experience with cerave and udderly beautiful but then my hair and skin become soft from chlorine of I don't go too often. Good luck and don't go during corona phase! Here in Berlin are pools are closed now by emergency order.

I've also been using the holy hydration moisturizer the past few months and I've been loving it a ton

I was spending $30 on moisturizers that lasted me maybe a month or two. I was like I cannot do this forever, so I decided to stop using expensive fancy moisturizers and purchased a Cera Ve cream. I think finding a good moisturizer is the most difficult part of skin care. I have oily AND sensitive skin which sucks. My face is the perfect environment for pimples. BUT!! I actually found the iUNIK cream on a korean site which ships to my country so YAY! I really looking forward to try it! For dry skin? I tried the exzema cream and it was too heavy for me. I prefer cerave
I’m prescribed that for eczema and tbh it didnt
work at first but after I learnt how to do everything else right it started to slowly work, try it for a little longer but if it isn’t working look for something else x

"Happy Hydration" and "Holy Hydration" because of this video ! Unfortunately, Happy Hydration was a bit irritating ( maybe an allergic reaction to the Hemp Seed oil ), but the Holy Hydration was much nicer ! Neither was a great moisturizer, but Holy Hydration has impressive ingredients and felt better.
I have oily skin that is VERY sensitive :( the struggle is real.
You can try Rosken Sensitive Cream. It's preety good if you don't have fungal acne.
if you have oily skin, try using an oil moisturizer on your face. it tricks the skin to think that it doesnt need to produce more oil, so it wont.

Hyram you've helped my skin so much! I was wondering if you could do a video listing some of the best skincare ingredients and their benefits that we should be on the lookout for? You could also do one listing the really bad ones to avoid when shopping for skincare. I've been watching your videos for a while and have written down a few that I think would be beneficial for my skin. I am curious about what may be harmful to my skin though (other than fragrance lol). I know this will probably be a hefty list but I think it can help some people (especially those who don't have American brands in their country) analyze their skincare better. Look for "5 steps for perfecting your skin". It's a course by Hyram where he recommends a lot of products and talk's about ingredients. In one of the lessons he provides a list of bad and good ingredients for all skin types :)

I just purchased the Cerave lotion and I like it a lot! It's a nice basic lightweight moisturizer and you get more product than the more expensive ones.
Same!!! I actually started using cerave cream by accident because it was all my mom had when visiting. Game changer. The lotion is a lighter version of it but I really like the matte-fying effect of the cream. It's the perfect base for makeup

dont do it! I tried the elf one and it has Isopropyl Isostearate which is comedogenic. It began breaking me out and I NEVER get acne. I have dry skin. PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF

CeraVe is good for very dry skin. It works for me because I have eczema. So it could be too thick for you lol

I was surprised Hyram mentioned that elf moisturizer, I checked the list and wasn't impressed, had perfume and some ingredients that are also in mattifying powders? Wack, he never mentions it anywhere else either. When I had very dry flaky red skin from using benzoylperoxide and antibiotics for acne I used the advanced moisturizer from Cetaphil! Cheap and worked like a charm, not greasy.
Wonderful list, Hyram! Have you or anyone else tried the Vanicream line of moisturizers?? Very simple ingredients. No fragrance or dyes and no botanical extracts! 👍🏻 The lite lotion is amazing for face and body!! It has petrolatum but it doesn’t feel heavy on my combination skin at all 🙌🏻
I've used the vanicream lite moisturizer and their face wash. Definitely a good brand! It works so well on my sensitive skin

The Aveeno Ultra-Calming Daily Facial Moisturizer with SPF 30 is my ALL TIME favorite sunscreen! it's got a mineral formula, it's fragrance free, and while it does leave a little bit of a white cast once applied, i find that after half an hour or so it does go away. i've been using it for a year while i've been treating my acne with multiple harsh, drying prescription meds and topicals, and it's been SO good to my skin. i love it!

I just bought the neutrogena moisturizer for combination skin that he mentioned and I LOVE IT. I got it yesterday and put it on right away and I have never had my face feel so happy. I usually scratch at my face all day trying to get the gunk off but yesterday THERE WAS NO GUNK. I forgot about my face and went about my day and at the end of the day it was barely oily. THANK YOU HYRAM!!!!!
