    So, acne tends to be associated with oily skin and I feel like the YT space really needs more info on acne skin that is also dry. Being one of those people, I know first hand how tricky it can be to find a good moisturizer that moisturizes and hydrates the dry skin but also does not cause breakouts. Would have been lovely if you'd have included this category, but nonetheless a great video by my favorite online derms :)
    Update: personally, I have my acne prone dry skin under control. I just meant as a general principle.

    The Biossance Probiotic Gel Moisturizer is a game changer. I was a newly recovering alcoholic with DRY, DRY, DRY skin that was red and scale covered. With good nutrition, lots of water, and this moisturizer, 2 yrs later my skin biome is near flawless. At Christmas everyone was commenting on my complexion and how little foundation I was wearing (Bareminerals original powder). If your skin won't absorb cream moisturizers try this gel. Their Rose Vitamin C Facial Oil is off the hook too! Great brand!

      Try the blue tub of Nivea cream, you must warm it in your hands to apply it to your face. It's very thick, but seals in moisture, like a wax seal. I looked 5-10 years younger in the morning. It has some cumulative effects. The Cera-ve pm moisturizer, lives on my nightstand when I'm too tired for anything else. I was sick many years, practically abandoned my skin care routines of the past. Cerave pm & my skin & hair vitamin saved me. (My nails split & bleed when I don't take them)
      Forget hormones & genetics, you can't control those. You are what you eat. That sugar shows up on your skin, no botox or creme can hide the inflammation.

My husband has struggled with severely dry, cracked and splitting hands and fingers over the years because of his security job outdoors in the elements. He cannot always wear gloves so it's been challenging and painful for him. I've tried various products with little success. So when I watched your video recently, I decided to try skinfix barrier and bought the smallest size to see if it would work. He tried it and within 24 hours noticed a big difference and a lot of relief! This is a miracle for us so thank you so much!

My skin is soft and supple. Since I was a teen, my diet has consisted of fruits and vegetables, chicken and salmon, nuts/seeds, eggs, a little, and some starches like couscous and. No red meat since then. I exercise and use suncreen though I should have been more protective of my legs while swimming for the last 10 years (at least I use a long-sleeved rashie for my upper body). I think I'll try a body retinol for my lower legs.

    I love the Roc retinol eye cream! I don’t like to take tretinoin too close to my eyes but the Roc retinol eye cream is a gentle enough formula to use around the eye and get the benefits of a retinol

  • @boomboom6577

    I would love it if you would dedicate a short episode to oil-free moisturizers. Squalane always breaks me out as does any moisturizer with oil in it, if I leave it on all day. I am sure there are moisturizers with oil out there that won’t break me out, but I’d rather not take my chances. It would be nice to know about oil-free options you would recommend. Not all oil-free moisturizers are good or good for acne-prone skin. It would be helpful to know how to select a good one. Lately, elta md barrier restore serum is my daily. LRP double repair has been my regular moisturizer for years, but it feels a bit to heavy and stings a bit as I adjust to tazorac.

They both have SPF 30 and similar actives. One is also much more expensive.

    In my opinion, to truly enjoy these products, a person HAS to be using the right cleanser (that's appropriate for your skin & has a good formula). Some moisturizers that I hated (because they irritated my skin), I ended up loving after I switched to a better cleansing routine.
    PS, Using an automatic face brush revolutionized my cleanse... it made a huge improvement, which then opened up my world to more moisturizers.

      Do you feel it necessary to visit a cardiologist when you turn 50 , even if not having issues, but more to get a baseline on heart health?

    • @aliceeleonor2911
      @aliceeleonor2911 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@nealiecruz2532 yes I'd recommend that. In most countries in Europe, where I'm from, this is part of a regular check-up starting at age 30/40 depending on the country... get an EKG, some blood tests (blood fats and other parameters), and possibly some additional diagnostics depending on the results. However this is usually done by a general physician (family medicine) and if there's some abnormalities you're getting transferred to a cardiologist.

    Love you guys and LOVE your videos. I just have a question, the ROC Retinol product says daily, I thought you were only supposed to use Retinol at night and then definitely use a sunscreen during the day. Although I've watched your Retinol Videos, I am still so confused about them :(. So I guess there's still an opportunity for further clarification on how to use them... Happy New Year to your both and can't wait to watch all of your videos in 2022.. All the best from Toronto, Canada.

    Hells yeah, im so happy one of my OG and still currently using Retinol moisturisers got on yalls list! The Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair i have been using this since my early 20s and im 45 now and still shufel this one on my routine because since then i have found a couple other really good retinol, vit c, niasinimide, ceramides and hyaluranic acid day and night moisturisers that i absoultly love! Neturogena actualy has a newer or upgraded version of the one yall showed and it the Rapid Tone Repair correcting cream! It has Retionl and vit c and i love it just as much or more than my OG fav!! Its in the same type of container but has a pearl white bottom and then the silver lid. And a new recent fav i use with my day time Neutrogena hydrating gel with hyaluranic acid is the CeraVe Hydrating Facial Cream with the green wrighting on the white pump bottle has three essential cerimides and hyaluranic acid and its nice and light for day time even mixed with the hydrating gel (which btw walmart now has a generic of with the exact same ingredience as the Neutrogena Hydrating Gel has in it and same consistancy and feel and results! I do SWEAR by that OG Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair tho!! I have actually seen results with this product and even better now since i have added to more products to my routine! Thanks for yalls test reviews and keepin us all on track with our skin care! Much love, G🤗❤
