    Great videos! The graphite blue color option was also my favorite, with it not being available anymore I would have gone for silver or (if available) gentian blue I think.

    Totally agree with 20” rims making the ride uncomfortable. And the green is perfect.

    Subscribed! Can’t wait for Part 2 (and hopefully parts 3, 4,…). You have me thinking about the less is more on Porsche now and I think the cars will age better that way.

    I really enjoy your analytical and commonsense approach these videos. At the other end of the scale I also enjoy James from Auto Amateur, and of course Nick. Keep up the good work.

    I've just ordered a base, manual 718 Cayman with a pared back spec - also in Aventurine Green which I chose for the same reasons as you. I've ordered a 718 T to follow it - both cars have been ordered with the manual transmission. The T is in Frozen Berry, though... I figured 'why not?'.

    Great video! Thanks. Love the pcm/radio delete idea. In America, we can’t get the T with the delete. So I’d love to do that to my future Cayman.

      Check out this guy’s build - looks an American to me: www.718forum.com/threads/put-in-an-order-today-for-a-cayman-t.22068/

      @@ForeverManual that's actually me! US laws mandate a backup camera so the PCM screen has to stay, even on the T models. The configurator just doesn't reflect that for some reason.

    thank you for the channel. EXACTLY what i could wish for in a youtube channel as I am planning to purchase a 718 base cayman in the next 12-18 months. i appreciate all the subject content you have posted so far. Learnt things i have never seen elsewhere (and I have watched ALL the YT videos on the 718). My only complaint is your videos are too short! I could easily watch longer material or more often. Any thoughts or inside info if Porsche will still do a facelift or new generation of petrol 718? or status quo until the new EV platform for 718 appears?

      Hey! Tanks mate, sorry for keeping my stories short🤗 unfortunately that’s the only way I can produce them. No new info on a facelift. Seems like a waste of resources before switching to EV in 2023. I hope some limited editions and new colors to come. We can enforce changes by keeping the demand for 718s high:)))

    Hi, How is the clutch in the new cayman. Is it hard or soft and where is the biting point ? Is it gradual or all the way on the top

    • @ForeverManual
      @ForeverManual  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It’s well weighted: not too light but enough to be usable in traffic. The travel is long enough to define the sitting position, the biting point is to be found rather early but you have to follow the pedal all the way up to avoid the shaking. Can be done quickly though. It’s easy to set off without using an accelerator, but can be tricky starting uphill as hold function sucks. Some say these motors don’t like the clutch to be partially loaded, it’s unavoidable in city traffic though.

    Porsche is always pretentious. Look at those wild prices. For a laggy platform is just insult to injury :/
