The only thing I can say is that I am satisfied with what Google has done with this pixel 6, it is at the level of an iPhone and on certain occasions better than it, and that only with a chip that is not as powerful I understand that it is its first model I can't imagine the beast that Google would manufacture with its next processors and terminals without a doubt Google is better.

Apple is well known for making best silicone chips, like M1 Max, also known for privacy protection.
In Bosnia everyone is bullying if i bring my old iPhone 6s because of a one camera, but look, Apple's silicone A9 chip from 2015 is still good and getting more updates than theirs.
The app you testing in android is build in other language with other platform, but the same app you testing in ios is also build with different platform swift, they both have different stability depends on the developer added features :D Only the automation engineer can test this features

You cannot really compare the two phones in terms of loading webpages. There are multiple factors involved there. They could be connected to 2 different servers for example. The webpage could be differently coded for different browsers. That is not really a fair ground to test.

@@pablo7610 The battery at first might seem like it's not good, but it adapts to what you use, adapting the battery to your use and making a whole lot better. Plus earlier versions of pixel phones have slight software bugs that Google can later fix.
You may consider Samsung S series as well.

Enlighten me if I'm wrong, but how does opening the apps prove anything? Especially if it needs internet connection. Can't the background activity affect the results? Maybe one phone loads the game faster but it's actually smoother to play the game on the other phone?

You are correct here. Internet tests are rarely something you can go out of.
Also depending on if you`re connected to 2,4GHz WIFI or 5GHz WIFI.
The only thing you can look at is specs.
Ofc if one phone supports WIFI 6 and the other one dosen't. You have a clear winner.

I have them both right now, the pixel screen is more responsive and the touch is accurate. The pixel is making me sell the pro max.

He just reads stats. That doesn't say much. You can just google and read all these numbers if that's what you're looking for. For example "Pixel has double the RAM". Yes that is true, but it doesn't really matter, when they use different amounts of RAM because of different operating systems and optimizations.
You can actually unlock the pixel without turn on the screen, and since iPhone is always reading your face I think you should start with the screens off and unlock from Black for both.

If Android 13 focuses on RAM Management and optimization with Tenzor, it could match or beat iOS. Pixel delivers similar performance without optimzacion like iOS, it is impresive and I need a Pixel now.
I think every android manufacturer should start focusing on ram management and optimization not just Google. google should do there's for there new tensor, manufacturers who use snap dragons should too, the rest should also do the same (mediatek)

tbh i love the warmer colors on the pixels video and even the overall video is pretty close. iphone overexposed some trees so it lost their leaves and the pixel only has 30fps on the other not main lenses

Other TH-camrs have covered this topic in detail. iPhone 13 Pro Max trounces pixel pro. However the pixel pro should give you a days worth of phone use but the iPhone can get you to the next day.

You could have "cleared all" apps from the app switcher before the games, or is that not an iphone feature? The Tensor chip is insane considering it's first gen!
It also uses AI to hear your voice clearly basically in a wind storm, where on the iphone you can only hear wind. I guess the rest of the AI features are in local-running Google Assistant and the camera features.
Google does need to add macro mode and zoom lens portraits to the camera though. Oh, I would also really like face unlock for when I'm at home.
The iphone badly needs a fingerprint unlock.
Samsung's iris scanner was a good idea a while ago, but the front cameras are not always good enough for that.

@@colinmailman3562 pixel 6 is 600$ and has the same performance as pixel 6 pro. Only advantage of pixel 6 pro over pixel 6 is optical zoom camera and bigger screen, otherwise they're the same phone lol.

@@damara2268 pro has the mmwave which is $100 extra. Pixel 6 mmwave version is $700 sold by verizon and stuff. So the actual difference from screen and camera is $200 but the mmwave is a hundred bucks extra.
i think they're both pretty much on the same page. they hype up the speed of the A15 bionic but i really don't see why. no one will ever notice that marginal speed difference in real life, and the new tensor is literally in the same exact ball park as it. the bionic may be more efficient, but apple has been doing what apple does for a long time. i think the new tensor is a step in the right direction and a great starting point for google entering this new decade.

I believe that many of these tests are not usable to compare 2 different ecosystems and os. In fact, apps and sites are often made to work perfectly with the operating system, so opening applications is often all a matter of implementation in code. I bought pixel 6 as a birthday present,
and I've seen poor customer service from google (Applecare costs a lot but at least it exists).

Both have an effect. Given code of the same quality, a more powerful/optimised proccessor will be faster

When submitting an app to the App Store, we submit only the app, not the source code. The review that's done is to make sure the app works as it says it should, but maintaining code quality is left to the developer
Really great review and comparison..but next time i suggest you better make some script on what to talk about before recording video....because talking this weirdly and in short pauses is really irritating. But overall, good review
Yeah I agree that'd be better for the viewers but it'd also be a lot more effort on my end lol. I've done dedicated review videos and those take a long time. Basically would need to add around 5-8 minutes of review script during parts like the apps opening and multitasking, and at that point I may as well make a second video. I'll think about what I can add in though without it taking too long to script and memorize. Maybe just a few lines here or there.

I was thinking of switching to Apple for the Apple Watch but after watching this, I'm staying and looking forward to the Pixel 7 and Pixel Watch.
Batteries vary depending on the environment. And you just need to know that 'the spec is this much.'
Amazing the A15 scores nearly twice as high on GB5, yet is consistently slower opening app most apps, even intense games. Makes you wonder how well optimized the A15 really is… I will say i am very impressed that Apple is able to do so well with just 6GB of RAM.
His GB5 score is ridiculously low compared to others for the Pixel 6/Pro. The score should be in the 1050 / 2750 range.
I've been saying this all along benchmarks don't mean squat when you want these two phones head-to-head pixel is faster I know I have both and overall the pixel phones far superior then the bloated price iPhone 13 Pro Max which I am about to send back
@@richardcerritelli9657 it isn’t far superior. Don’t be hyperbolic. They are both phenomenal phones. Opening apps incredibly marginally faster isn’t a reason to say one is better than the other. They are both very fast, take very good pics, have access to lots of services. Pic your preferred ecosystem and be happy.
Opening apps is more a test of storage speed rather than cpu.
RAM is not a matter here. Apps written on Android are made in Java which works different than languages used on iOS. To put it simple, you cannot compare ram to ram when different languages are used, and Java requires more.
Great and best video review. I am an iPhone 12 pro max user. Now I have new Google pixel 6 pro. I am use p6 Pro 2 days now. Software is really good and better than any Android phone. I am suprise about this phone is beat my iPhone 12 pro max in speed test when I am compare it. Camera is great performance but no LiDAR camera like IP 12 pro max. Speaker also great loud and bass. Earpiece speaker sound is great in high and midrange tone but bottom one is more bass and also louder. When I am put mono audio setting, top speaker could very loud and bass about same as bottom one and overall it's more fully louder than standard audio. But lack quality when watching video because earpiece is very loud to directly to my face and bottom speaker sound is side away, it's unbalance. You must go to standard audio (mono audio off) when watching movies, so audio is ballance and more nicely. After I am download PowerAmp app. This phone can support equaliser setting is very well and greatest punchier loud in my view and less distortion of any phone except Rog 5. My iPhone 12 pro max far beaten by this phone in decibel sound quality. But I am still many used with my IP 12 pro max to anywhere and my new p6 Pro used to watch movies and hearing music out handfree. Both phone are great power like small computer laptop.😍👍

You can compare specs like battery and cameras for sure, but how long the battery actually lasts with day-to-day use and actual image quality from the cameras is where the real comparison comes from bc Apple’s energy efficiency and photo software is unmatched.
the photos out of the pixel main camera are just unmatched to me, waiting a little longer to see the final image is worth it to me
Both very nice phones. I would say the pixel is faster mostly, but as a personal preference I prefer IOS over android. Like the way google has found the right direction with the pixel 6

With google phones becoming exponentially better in a short period of time, previously Unknown International Phone companies becoming more prominent, and with Tesla potentially entering the phone market, it’s gonna be a strain on iPhone and Samsung

For example the very first pixel brought a large, great quality screen + OLED, something which apple didn’t bring until an entire year with the iPhone X ( pixel released Oct 2016, iPhone X released Nov 2017 )

Have they become better. On the Android sites you always read about the issues with this phone and all their previous. They sell nowhere near as much as Samsung or Apple and have so many issues.
i wouldnt get too worried, the isheep will insist iphone is the best value most amazing best godly best goodest amazingest awsomest bestest phone ever made and not even giving them a pixel for free would make them change thier mind because they dont want to change their mind because they know they are right so theres nothing for them to change their mind about
@@surtmcgert5087 I’ve seen you on quite a few comments now bringing this agenda against iPhones. There’s a reason apple can charge the prices they do and still control the majority of the phone market. It isn’t sheepish or that bs it’s about user experience and whether you agree or not it has a more popular interface and system. Other reasons lie with things like privacy apple makes that a standpoint for that unlike competitors. Unlike most tech companies including Google they make no income from selling user data which is one of Google’s primary sources of income ( the pixel and other devices account for a tiny amount) and that’s why you never see apples phones go on sale bc they don’t need as many customers as Google to make the same money. Google wants as many customers as possible as the money they make on data mammoths that on the profit on their phones. No I’m not a iPhone fanboy Ive had both androids and iPhones in the past I just understand their business model and can see why it makes them so much more successful then their competitors.

Apple doesnt make the most phone sales... apple doesnt have the majority of the market... so you cant say iPhones are more popular because by the definition of the word... they are not. privacy, your right google makes the majority of its money from data. but your iphone isnt as private as you think... google didnt pay apple something like $15billion dollars to be the default search engine just for a laugh... in terms of apps asking for things like locations, android 12 and ios 14 do that, android tells you when an app is using your camera or microphone, idk about ios but i imagine it does the same. i promise you most people dont know about privacy or the specs of their phone, if you asked people at random i imagine most of them wouldnt know, but id bet that if you ask somone with the latest iphone if they think its the "best" they will just say yes. most people have iphones cuz "they are the best" and they are cool and all their friends have one so they want one to. Obviously i cant test this theory but i recon its a safe bet. look, iphones are not bad, they are very very good but... in lots of areas they are not the best, and they certainly are not good value but if somone wants one then hey, whatever makes you happy. you just cant say "iphones are the best" without first defining "best" and secondly knowing what your talking about

It's crazy to me that iPhone's processor is up to 80% faster in benchmarks, but almost no perceptible difference loading apps. The only time you see a significant difference is in processing photos. iPhone will process nighttime photos in 2-3 seconds whereas Pixel will take 5-7 seconds. Ultimately Pixel takes better nighttime photos though so a worthy tradeoff in that case.
Its not taking better night time photos though is it? It's taking longer to process them and enhancing for post processing.

@@skyisbluexd but no matter how fast your CPU is in smartphone cause after a certain extent you won't get the results. Time to check for other things when you buy flagship smartphones. Cause CPU are already fast enough for a smartphone.

As someone who works in wireless sales, I've had multiple Pixel 6 and 6 Pros returned. When it works, it works great. Unfortunately, it's not perfect and it seems like there's a lot of lemons.
Thanks for that, yeah personally my unit hasn't had any significant issues (just a few minor things from time to time) but I have heard there are some faulty units out there.

The pixel score on geekbench is around 3k and 1k on the single core. For people that freaked out with how the pixel did. Sometimes geekbench doesn't run correctly.
iPhone 13 pro max has almost 2 times better Geekbench score than pixel 6.
But real life test tells really different story as we can see haha
And either way scores aren't always very good at representing performance anyway

had to turn in my 6 pro to many software issues. loved what it could have been but that google os fell short. apps crashing all the time, my charging port going bad to many problems for my taste. went back to Samsung

@@rafaelstachissini take a look at the iphone 11 pro max. If you are going to compare its battery life today among its contemporaries, it would still outlast them despite the age. For example 11PM vs samsung galaxy s10+. Iphones, at least for the max models, ages gracefully
um... the iphone litterly has a smaller battery... and over time the pixel will get more optimised
i used iphone 12 and pixel 6 pro but idk why pixel 6 pro animation looks and feels so smooth to me a bit better than iphone.imo
