I’m 17 now and truly wish I could’ve been my age then in 1987... To see bands live like Rush, Triumph, Genesis, Yes, Pink Floyd, etc in their prime. So many great concerts throughout the 80’s I feel I truly missed out on. I can just picture myself going out with some buds to so many shows then... gotta try to make the most of today I guess but it’s very tough to when no one my age I know shares the same passion in older music.

My son is 25. His favorite band is Boston, he’s seen them twice. I was blessed enough to see everyone from Aerosmith to Zeppelin. The three times I saw Triumph was the three best concerts I ever saw. Lots of bands still touring: Kansas, Foghat, Firehouse, REO Speedwagon, Styx, .38 Special, Def Leperd, Tesla. Even Rick Emmitt tours and foes dinner theater type shows. But I wouldn’t wait too long😊

I'm generally amazed with drummers anyway. They have to have multitrack brains and physical stamina to play their kits for hours. But when a drummer also sings, it just takes them to a whole new level. Gil Moore is as big a talent as any other singer/drummer you can name. But few know about him.
Fantastic version of Lay It On The Line! Mellow introduction, a little slower and bluesier than the original version that everybody has heard. Great job of reimagining their own song.
In case it ever comes up on Jeopardy, the name of the occasional 4th member of Triumph was Rick Santers.

All the great bands of the 70's and 80's, let us never forget how Epic Triumph was in their day! Rik Emmett oh so talented! The band as a whole Most Excellent!

Triumph seriously Rocks! The vocals this band puts out are amazing. Their musicality and skill is on another level. I love Rush too but I absolutely love Triumph.
Let’s not forget April Wine as another great Canadian Band, not a Power Trio but definitely a great band born from my Northern Brothers.

You could tell the boys were burnt out by now, especially Rik. Hitting it to hard for too long took its toll. Too bad, would love if they were still around as a band.

Saw them at the Spectrum in Philly on this tour. Hate to admit it now but we may have been under the influences of a certain "psychedelic" drug at the time and let's just say the sound and light show were even that much more intense!! Oh the 80's....

I grew up at that time, and TRIUMPH AND APRIL WINE, were the two biggest draws in North America. I remember vividly the talk on how TRIUMPH'S shows had the biggest and best light and fireworks show for any concert other than KISS. I have a few of their original albums on Vinyl from that era as well as April Wine.

I had forgotten how good Santers was. He was a legend in Toronto (Gasworks and the like). Playing solid Rhythm Guitar is an underrated skill. The was he locks in with Bass and Drums while playing under Rio's guitar parts... he was the best.
