THIS was rock and roll. No fancy, expensive sets. Just 5 extremely talented musicians under some colored lights who could bring the house down. The playing is tight, the vocals are strong. At the time, it never occurred to me that some day it might end.

As Bob Seger once sang, "Ain't got money but I got a whole lot of love." We were so rich then. Somehow it all got replaced with the love of Money (and we are sadly re-learning that lesson).

@MetallicBill right. But real rock bands don't care about award shows. They care about concert tickets and album sales. Some of the best are critically unknown but their fans will praise them forever. 😁

BILLY SQUIER BLOWS THE DOORS OFF THE ARENA! What a sick show, I am so bummed to have missed it. Thankful I got to see him in the early '90s. Started with "Don't Say No" vinyl LP and I was hooked. Much love Billy ✌️

Woot! I lived either in Maple Grove or Northfield, MN when you saw that show! I'm maybe 2-3 years younger. Billy just floored me in those days. He was such a great songwriter. Whenever the show was, I know I heard about it on KQRS, and I was envious of kids like you who got to go.

We can create another era that's totally freakin' fabulous like the unforgettably wild '80s // It's reptilian corporate entities that are soulless, money-driven, unimaginative and they're controlling everything through the master and slave dichotomy of conventional economics. The system is a plutocracy impeding natural human evolution.
