A greatly enjoyable journey made more so for me by me mirroring your build for the last few months.
I picked up some useful tips so thanks for that and thanks for the report on the front brake which has convinced me to wait a while. A certain dealer of long standing high reputation is currently developing an inboard disc that works and looks gorgeous. I'm not allowed to share the photos yet but it looks great and if it works as promised will be a game changer
I have got to change all cables on my 67 Li125 Special, Got a nice set of teflon coated cables. Should be a laugh, I have never worked on a Lambretta before haha. Wish me luck!
Nice vid Rob, i do like those sip trunions. Add those to my list for my series 1. Can't wait for the wiring video.
Cheers & stay safe
I think he has shares in the sip trunnion biz, i will order some soon:).
Really really good done job and many to learn for me.....Thanks a lot and with the best wishes from SouthGermany
Good tip on the throttle cable. Mines fallen out before.
Darn tantalising us like that 😉👍
rightly or wrongly , i fit the small trunnion dish washer on top of the cable before tightening down.
@@kickbackgarage Has to be a better system ? no trunnions o yes a new challenge .......
I use two dishes, bottom one fits flush inside and cable runs cleans through followed by the top dish. I use sip and straight jacket trunnions, no mucking about trying too thread the cable through 😁
YOU GOT ADVERTS NOW COOL 👌
you now get 10p for every thousand views lol ..... soon a millionaire ha ha
Hi , great videos of your knowledge,
Whilst your doing your cables do you or anyone have a problem getting in 1st gear when you pull up at junction, I often have to roll scooter GP back and forward so it engages . Any advise or video would be welcome
The labour and effort to make these scoots good is insane. U could not make a profit if someone gave you 6000 dollars to do it!, i have nearly 6k into my ld125 mk3 build and its not even painted yet!.at the end i will have 8-10 k into it, and for sure no one would give me more than 5!. And thats with my free labour!.
True! I used 11k on the series 1 build last year but thats because I went with a 5 speed box and LTH clutch along with the chiselspeed pipe. That`s without paint. You only live once!
I couldnt find the industrial strength lambretta tape! is everyday blue painters tape suffice?...omg whast to do?
I think I''ll be okay, God willing yea? Thx for the step by step on somma this hidden lambretta knowledge
held by the lambretta gods for eons is now being declassed for the public consumption..slowly
na really thx this stuff helps when you need a quick answer for things...noow back to jetting this 25mm
hell-orto carb for this 195 RT kit...70 pilot jet seems high yea? wet, wet , wet is what i get!
cheers from Califica, U.S.A.
Nice looking scooter, just think the rear shock needs changing from gold to black, would look much better.
The gold shock is an original replacement shock from the 70's and it was utter crap! 😂 The owner has now fit a black one.
Fresh haircut n beard trim 😉
Liked the video but one point to correct. At the trunnions you need to fit the wire and then put the small lead or copper coupon in followed by the grub screw. If you don’t do it this way you are graunching the grub screw directly onto the cable and this will cut some of the wires causing a fray. Also, just to let you know, your vid is showing the frame number caution there are some dubious people out there. Bolti
Sidney, that depends on the type of trunnion. The mb one's are cut too deep so they fray the cable if you fit the disk over the cable. I explain that here.. th-cam.com/video/LU_52_M4BfQ/w-d-xo.html
ta hecho aka el vaguito este XD
👍👍im1972.oldmakanikal
good stuff, thank you!
