As a 21 year old dude I’m actually planning on buying a leftover 2024 model Gladiator since they are having some amazing deals right now. This will be my first new car that I’ve been able to buy myself. It’s been my dream car for years and I’m finally gonna make that dream come true. Really excited for it
I agree and the pain is awesome and I used to be a painter one of the best painting vehicles I’ve ever owned and I don’t know why everybody cries about that V6 things got plenty of power when you stick your foot in it
As a Gladiator owner myself, I agree 100% with everything you said. Best vehicle ive ever owned and not to mention the most fun! From the beginning of May till the end of September it’s completely naked… it’s my wife’s favorite thing during the summer. Love the hype for the JT, keep up the great work 🤙
Love my Gladiator. Did need to change the windshield when a landscaping company’s mower hit it with a rock. Happily they stepped up and paid for it. Thanks for the video!
Love your enthusiasm for the Gladiator! It’s infectious. Too bad they are priced so high now sales have dropped like a rock lately. I’m worried Stellantis is gonna kill this beauty!
That pentastar is also port injection which is a huge plus too. I'm glad I got my 24 Gladiator since it's being limited in use going forward. Hell, put 300 k miles on it with 3k oil changes and throw a crate replacement in and keep trucking.
Just got a 2024 Sport S with manual transmission. Only one manual in all of Phoenix metro, almost had to go out of state and pay more sales tax. Here in Arizona, if you trade in a car, you pay the sales tax on the difference, potentially saving thousands, I think a few states do that, it was new to me coming from California. It is black, didn’t really want that, but now it’s winter and cool and I’m looking the black sleek color. Already got some Fuel 17x9 with Nitto Recon Grapplers in 35s on order for next week, installed RC contour drop sets, got some morimoto sealed 7 lights and renegade led tail lights, didn’t have LED package which was fine, so many aftermarket options for lights and everything. I suggest upgrading one or two things at a time and enjoy it. Last year for a manual gladiator and 3.6 V6. I was thinking to get the base base out of state with the roll up windows lol, but having the nicer wrapped steering wheels, heated seats, power windows, probably for the best. Out of state would have ended up paying the same for the Sport S. $49k MSRP plus $2k dealer options, $51k total, got it for $39k plus tax licenses. Got good price for trade in and paid a few thousand cash for the exchange. Loving it!
This is my experience with the windshield on my 2021 Wrangler. I drove it 3 years without having to replace it. I had a couple of chips that got sealed but did not crack. Then I got a chip that spread to a crack quickly. I opted for Gorilla glass as a replacement for the original glass early this year. I caught a "boulder", well a big rock, from an unknown vehicle on the highway after less than 2 months. The crack spread across the driver side of the windshield instantly and across the rest of the windshield by the next day. I opted to go back to OEM Jeep windshield. So, 3 years with no replacement and less than one year with the 2nd windshield replacement. So far, so good. That seems about par for the course with other vehicles that I have owned. PS- I love my Wrangler EcoDiesel. I have 65,000 miles on it.
Man, you love that truck, and it's so easy to see why. If I could live with a mid size truck, s gladiator would be on my short list with the Nissan Frontier.
My jeep has the 2inch mopar lift, 35 inch BFG KO2s, and a 12000 pound winch. I have gotten stuck once but my winch pulled me out. 18 inches of fresh wet snow had bent many, many trees over the steep road. I went over some, around some and under some but there were several large trees at windshield height, so i decided - enough, and tried to turn around. I got stuck cross ways on the steep road, but i used my winch to skid myself in the right direction, locked up the front and rear axles and esaed my self up the road.
You don’t want a super responsive steering anyways when you’re off road much better and I don’t know why everybody cries about this jeep one of the best vehicles I’ve ever owned and I’m about as bad as you when it comes to owning vehicles🤣
3 months of a gladiator owner and I’ve cracked my first windscreen 😕 I love my jeep except for the fuel mileage. I was told by another owner this will improve around 12,000klms. Anyone have any insight into this? Love the channel 👍🏻
Im thinking about getting a rubicon gladiator (either used or new) I’m gonna use it for everything from daily drive to back country hunting! Never had Jeep before! My ultimate plan is to have bed top tent and mild overlanding equipments! I know there is no more diesel engine for the new ones, but I think a used diesel one may give me some advantage in fuel economy, and more torque but I’m not sure about reliability and durability of diesel engines and will appreciate your opinion and expertise. Thanks man!
The diesel in the gladiator has mixed reviews but everyone i know with one has high miles and loves it. The pentistar is also a great motor. Can't go wrong either way in my opinion. The pentistar gets the edge for cheap maintenance and repair. But the diesel gets the nod for mpg loaded and torque
Wow. Considering the gladiator and this video helps my decision. Especially because you own a 4Runner too for comparison. Thinking about trading my 3rd gen Tacoma. Just not thrilled with the 4th gen .
I'm in the same boat. 2022 taco. I'm just over all it's inefficiencies already. It might last 300,000 miles but I'm not in love with it. I only out on 10k a year so my next truck might be my last. Gladiator right now is my #1 choice
Have owned a zr2 for a day and a half (my wife just got one). I have not taken the zr2 off road yet. But on road, it's dead quiet, super smooth and a joy to drive. The gladiator is amazing too. If I was gonna spend more time on the road than in the woods the colorado would probably win for ride quality. Buy gladiator still wins for fun factor
I wish I'd have seen this video from you before Deb and I rented the Grand Cherokee for our trip to the Mainland prior to flying back to the Mainland. Had I seen this video, I'd have shown it to Deb. Had she seen it, I'll bet she would have said "YES!" to paying $1,500 more for a "rental" Gladiator than for the rental Grand Cherokee we had. The "catch"--which we both considered was my having told Deb, "If we're going to spend $3,500 plus for a rental Jeep for two months, let's buy a new Gladiator from.....(in Utah) and ship it back to Molokai when you're ready to fly home." Deb, an accountant by education, quickly axed that thought! She saw through my logic!! On the other hand, Jason, had we had this video prior to our trip, which, of course, was not the case, you and I could have closed the deal on Deb and I getting a new Gladiator in 2024! Great job as always! If I were running Jeep's marketing department, I'd offer you whatever it took to have you come to work for Jeep! As always thanks again! It's nice being home. Of course, it would be an even nicer trip in a 2024 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon we bought at $15,000 off sticker. (I did check with Matson: They'd have picked the Gladiator up from the dealership in Spanish Fork, Utah and shipped it to Honolulu for us. Their charge would have been $2,445.00.) As I said, had you been available for advice, you and I would have closed that deal! Aloha & Mahalo from Molokai, Andy McKane, 20 November 2024.
@andymckane7271 glad you guys made it home safe and had a good trip. Deb sounds like a very smart woman and working the numbers was playing the smart money card. You got a good woman.
Jason, love the content! I’m currently in the market for a Gladiator. I often hear you talk about getting deals on new vehicles. Do you offer any courses/content on how to handle the dealership process? Do you have a website? Thanks & keep doing what you’re doing! I always look forward to your videos.
At 6'3" I'm guessing you might have enough leg room -- seems to be a lot of it (for me) -- but you might hit the back of your head on the cabin-light/sound-bar above you, depending on how far the seat is slid back and the angle you have the seat back & headrest at. I don't think the seat really goes that far back though -- if you're a big guy, it may be a little tight/close to the steering wheel but if you're skinny/normal weight maybe not. I have the seat all the way back in my Gladiator and it's fine for me but I'm only 6' even. If you go to a dealership and look at a Gladiator, you'll see what I mean about the overhead sound bar possibly being an issue for really tall drivers so that should be one of the first things you check out -- and you can only do it in-person as you have to actually be in the seat to find out. Good luck, -- BR
Great question thst I can not answer. Never drove the other models thst the rubicon. Was in a Mojave on the road for a test drive for 15 mins and it was amazing. But don't know how the others compare. The Mojave was very smooth and love the extra bolstering in the seats
somebody needs to tell those CEO's a Jeep that this is what people want Jeep to focus on building instead of trying to make themselves rich by entering the luxury market to increase profit margin per unit.
I do 100%. And the low cost of parts and repairs mean even if stuff does happen it's super cheap to maintain and keep on the road for many years. And no worry of parts back ordered.
@ thank you for reply. Your comments on your experience with the gladiator and the comments on build quality and capabilities have placed the gladiator at the front of the line for us if we go mid size over a full size. Thank you again and really enjoy your TH-cam channel
Paint is very finicky. So much stuff can affect a good Paint job and how long it will last. I was a painters helper for 24.5 years and I have seen so much of what can cause problems with it. It seems like every manufacturer has a year of problems with their Paint.

Absolutely sucks at towing, other than that - it's fantastic. (pulling a 2000lb 17' trailer with a Mojave 4.11s - runs in 6th gear, 3000 rpm, 12 mpg and sucks up the engine oil - if youre towing CHECK YOUR OIL LEVEL EVERY FILLUP!)
And yet I tow a 3k pound enclosed trailer with mine across the country twice a year and it does fantastic. Just got back from doing 6200 mile trip with a 3k trailer. Butter smooth and easy peasy

It’s actually smart that it’s not too powerful. It keeps it from breaking itself. Well engineered power/weight ratio in my opinion.

From the beginning of May till the end of September it’s completely naked… it’s my wife’s favorite thing during the summer.

So tough looking!

Has to be amazing on 40s
@Jason-Samko Its a Totally Different Monster now 🇺🇸💪✌️
Ditto! 2020 Gladdy Sport S with 197,000 mi.! It is the best and most fun vehicle I've ever owned.
Love hearing from guys with some miles on them!
I also absolutely love my gladiator.
Have I had more comfortable cars ya but nothing like my gladiator.
Thank you for your video.
Agree. Is an amazing vehicle with a huge fun to drive factor
@ thank you for taking time to answer back.
God bless you And your family.
@rickgonzales1219 god bless you and yours as well
I love the gladiator. I have been tempted to trade in my Rebel for a Mojave, but I’m worried I’d miss the full size truck
The space in a full size is great. I went from a ram 2500 to a tacoma. That sucked for a while to get used to
I love my Mojave! Best car ever.
Hard to beat a gladiator
Love your enthusiasm for the Gladiator! It’s infectious. Too bad they are priced so high now sales have dropped like a rock lately. I’m worried Stellantis is gonna kill this beauty!
The gladiator gets a complete frame up change in 2028 if it gets to live on. Until then they will keep making it as the tooling and design is done.
That pentastar is also port injection which is a huge plus too. I'm glad I got my 24 Gladiator since it's being limited in use going forward. Hell, put 300 k miles on it with 3k oil changes and throw a crate replacement in and keep trucking.

Good to know that the gorilla glass is not a guarantee on cracks
For people that complain about the power, there are many different supercharger kits for the pentastar and the gladiator specifically.
Goes 60 to 80 all day what more power do people need not to mention our crawl ratio is insane!
The Rubicon and Mojave’s with the 4:10 gears feel pretty quick to me!
Holding my breath until some Jeep hating troll spews their negativity. Won’t be long.
Everyone slings shit people act like its not 2024 and every manufacturer is nearly the same
