    Thank you Alex, this was really really helpful! I've had this (and headcovering) burning in my heart for a long period, but nobody that I know resonates with this, so I thought...maybe is just me... But when I see people (specially women) through History, I see a clear and beautiful distinction between both male and female... My heart echos that way women had dressed in the past, it was totally feminine! I feel like we've been robed our womanhood little by little...
    one step at the time.
    and I feel the Lord inviting me to let Him bring my real womanhood "back"... with your video I feel like I'm ready to jump know... thank you Alex! it was a bless

    I do wear dresses or skirts in general for religious reasons, I just find in general dressing this way makes me happy. I just liked how people dressed up more in the past.

    Another thing I think about is look at our restrooms signs. They make it clear to what is distinct between a man and a woman here in America.

      Good for you to stick to your convictions. I grew up in a church where women were required to wear skirts. At this point in my life I do not feel that conviction, but I firmly believe in dressing modestly. Thanks for sharing❤

    You did a great job graciously explaining from scripture why Bible believing Christians wear dresses and skirts.

    Very beautifully explained. I also only wear dresses. I do not cut my hair because the scripture says my hair was given to me for a covering. People tend to give me a hard time because how long my hair is so I completely understand what you are going through. This was a wonderful video and it blessed me to find it on TH-cam! Thank you

    I agree with you but currently mostly wear pants. I’ve been trying to find dresses that are modest, comfortable, and still cute. It’s way harder than it should be! I’m in Canada, with far fewer options. I checked out the Super Cute Dresses that you like to wear. Apparently they are very popular! I haven’t seen a print yet that I really love, so I will keep looking.

      Totally agree about finding options that are affordable too. Thrifting helps but that’s only helpful if you have great thrift options near you which I know many don’t have

    Yes I wear dresses and that has been my reasoning too! But wow! Great thoughts on principles of God’s law and how they bless us! This is the best explanation I’ve ever hear! Thank you for sharing!!! My husband has always said he feels like that’s why we have so much gender confusion these days…

    Thank you very much for sharing!! I'd like to go on and give this amusing step!
    But I always find a new inconvenient...moreover the confortableness ( sorry for muy English,I' m Spanish) and the extreme wheather ( too hot in summer and too cood in Winter) where we live, un Madrid but without any calefaction or Air condition at home.
    Please,I need some advices...how to be modesta, and confortable, moreover at home...because I understand that is also importante to be modesta when nobody see us,or only the husband ( we haven't got chileren...yet)😢

    Thank you for your video. I recently thought about switching to just dresses again. I have been wearing pants after having children because I am so afraid of showing accidentally too much when in the playground for example. How do you manage ?

    I totally get what you are saying, but it’s not completely logical for me because
    1. What people wear is cultural and what is considered masculine or feminine in fashion changes over time.
    2. Jesus came to destroy the old law for the new….accepting the holy spirit and following him. I would think if I was to believe I should dress in a certain way it would be because I felt Jesus leading me to do it.
    Just my thoughts but I totally respect your choices.

    • @growinggoodings
      @growinggoodings  ปีที่แล้ว +7

      But did you listen to what I said about the cultures? I addressed what you said.
      Also in order to be a Berean and search the scriptures… the scriptures were the prophets and the law. To be a Christian we must know the Old Testament. If you listened, in the video I clearly stated that we are not under the law, but we have principles we can draw from it to apply in our walk because of Christ and the spirit in dwelling us

    • @megancureton-gj6ho
      @megancureton-gj6ho ปีที่แล้ว +8

      I did listen. Actually, I read the transcript. These were my thoughts after doing so. Its just my perspective. Is the Spirit leads you to cover your head and wear dresses, then I completely get it. You should always follow where the Spirit leads you.

      Matthew 5:17 Jesus says He did not come to abolish the law, but to fulfill it. If you take it back to the Greek language, law would be Torah and Torah means instruction. So He did not come to abolish the Torah, but to fulfill it. Though I agree culture changes things and the Lord will lead us in our convictions of what we wear, your statement on Jesus destroying the law is incorrect.

    • @chaosfaction2725
      @chaosfaction2725 ปีที่แล้ว

      Then since most now are going into stores and stealing you say that is cultural now things change but the Bible doesn’t

    • @megancureton-gj6ho
      @megancureton-gj6ho ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@heidi_lara Hou are correct. I should not have used that word. Paul is clear that the believer in Christ is no longer under the Law: “We were held in custody under the Law, locked up until faith should be revealed. So the Law became our guardian to lead us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith. Now that faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian” (Galatians 3:23-25). We are not under the Mosaic Law but under “the law of Christ” (Galatians 6:2).

    There are reasons women wear dresses that are very practical too.
    We should dress for reasons of humility and not as a purpose of power. The immodest dress for what purpose? The modest dress to provide others less distraction.
    I agree with the feminine distinction and the reasons of modesty which are acknowledgment of God’s power and not ours, God’s distinction of men and women.

    Just curious does the bible speak of clothes (Pants,skirts, shorts ,tank tos, dresses) cause Adam an eve were naked in the garden an both made a skirt out of leaves so who decided who wore what an id think God ment us to even wear clothes 🤷🏻‍♀️ I grew up in church, our pastor was my grandfather an I'm still very much spiritual an pray an worship so I'm not mocking or trying to make anyone feel stupid I'm genuinely curious 🧐

    Why would we not be under those laws in Deuteronony if God himself gave them & He does not change? And when Jesus Himself said that He himself did not come to do away with the law & prophets "not one tittle".

      Also, Romans 11 tells is how us as Gentiles are grafted into Israel. God didn't have a new set of people, but a new set of ppl are too take on His culture, order & design for our lives

    I think its difficult, when your religion or the principal of these religions demand what you should wear. The Charakter make a human beeing good or bad. Not the clothes. Your religion should makes your happy and free. Not constrict you. Thats my personal opinion.❤

      She did specifically say this is her choice she has made in her walk with the Holy Spirit. She chooses to dress in a way that glorifies God by upholding his ideals. Its a choice.

      @Ellie🦥 so after they made their clothes of leaves when they realized they were naked. God realized they had eaten from the tree of knowledge that brought about their shame, and he actually made them clothes at that point. Also there are several places in the bible where God mentions clothing. Whether its head covering, modest dressing, or dressing based on seperate genders. So theres quite a few places its mentioned. Hope that helps clarify.
