I can see why Lord Jesus rebuked the phrases. Because of their motives. The whole Bible teaching is about our motives. If you were trouser with the intention to atrack men, then that's a sin. QUESTION to everyone: 1. Is there anywhere the bible defines what a man's clothing is and what a woman's clothing is? 2. What is the biblical definition of a woman's clothing? 3. Does bible in any book, chapter or verse forbid women to wear coats and jackets? 6. Does it anywhere forbid shorts and pyjamas or say they are men's clothing? 7. Does bible anywhere forbid women to wear pantyhose because it takes the form of pants? 8. Are ties/bow ties, belts etc men's clothing or a sin when worn by women 9. Are sweaters, cardigans, overalls, jumpers men's clothing only. IF ANYTHING, PANTS ARE the most appropriate type of clothing that can conceal everything a woman needs to conceal. A woman wearing pants does not have to worry about wind accidentally blowing her dress and exposing her underwear to all and sundry. A woman on "her days" is much safer and better off wearing pants than wearing a dress. It's easier for a sexual attacker to molest a woman wearing a dress than a woman wearing pants. There are pants designed for men and pants designed for women just as there is underwear designed for men and underwear designed for women.
My only thing that I disagree with, here, is the use of the phrase “what you’re willing to show, you’re willing to share” only because it makes it sound like assault is justified if a woman is wearing revealing clothing, which I disagree with heavily. I’m all about modesty, but I think the wording was faulty here is all.
I think the wording is spot on. It should make women reconsider what they're willing to show because it is going to come across as them willing to share it as well.
HOW IS THIS HARD? My gender is not so malleable but it depends on my attire. When I’m wearing shorts I’m wearing shorts for the convenience and comfort I’m not worried because I want to be a guy. You can clearly say I am a female. I don’t get how this is even a problem. Men’s attire isn’t even “men’s” attire it’s just attire, regulated toward men.

Ughhh I feel like some people in the comments miss the whole point of the Bible. The old testament has ALL kINDS of rules that we would ALL break. Leviticus 19:27 - men dont trim your beard. Jesus came to end the legalism, because NO ONE would ever get to heaven that way. Ever. He was very clear. God doesn't just put things in the Bible for nothing. Yes what matters most is the heart but what you do actually does matter. Satan wants us to believe it doesn't and get us to doubt that. Theres a purpose to everything. Pray about it and look up scripture

When we are born again we are saved and Jesus is our righteousness and The Holy Spirit is given to us to guide us into all truth and we will be changed from the inside out , a new Heart and right desires are formed in us, everything wrought in Christ is Holy and everything of the flesh is not, so dead works of trying to be holy on the outside without the inside being cleansed is futile. Unless we are born again (spiritual birth in Christ Jesus) we will not enter the Kingdom of God. I have walked for many years born again and Jesus has changed me ( taken me out of Egypt and Egypt out of me so to speak) and things I once did and loved have lost their attraction and hold over me and when God sets us free we are free indeed. I am a woman believer of God and I believe a woman can wear anything that is modest. I believe the dress and skirts are more appropriate for a woman. I wear pants all the time. I m starting to feel not right wearing pants for church. That's a change I think I am making that's not coming from me. God did speak of keeping differences between men and women but he never mentioned what the differences that should be. It could be men having short hair and women having long hair. I teach against men wearing skirts and dresses, because they are pertaining to a woman. So it seems very obvious in my conscience that those are the things that only women should wear, not men. And that only leaves shorts and pants for men. Exodus 28:42, Leviticus 6:10 that extend from the waist to cover a man's nakedness which is his thighs. In Bible it's mentioned woman shouldnt wear men clothing but there are pants made for womans is that means we should even wear pants at home? I used to wear pants at home that also home wear pyjamas one of our servant of God saw it and started advising. I just went like that to walk in the road. And His thinking is far beyond higher than our thinking. He shows us these thoughts through His Word. I teach against men wearing skirts and dresses, because they are pertaining to a woman. So it seems very obvious in my conscience that those are the things that only women should wear, not men. And that only leaves shorts and pants for men. Exodus 28:42, Leviticus 6:10 that extend from the waist to cover a man's nakedness which is his thighs. And hosen in Daniel 3:21 were for men to wear to, and these are long pants. The verse people use from the old testament to say women can't wear pants was based on a pagan tradition in which men would don women's items or clothing and women would don armor. The word used to describe what women could not wear is translated as armor. Very specific, considering that'd exactly what the pagan women would do to worship their god. They dressed as the opposite sex to represent their god, who was both male and female. It's not again wearing pants or clothes, it's against idol worship. It cannot pertain to us today in our current culture and time, since those traditions have been done away with for a long, long time. And we are not under that covanent, we are under the New convanent through the Christ.

We are all born naked and our belongings (included wardrobe) will not follow us into eternity. Since every individual in our society must be dressed: wear what complements your body and personality. For some women that may mean wearing a company polo shirt and khaki pants. For others maybe it's a bikini and flip flops. Many people try to hold women accountable when really its the man's fault. Both sexes look at eachothers bodies, that doesn't mean its lust until you take it to the next step. Im not advacting for people to be in public naked, but strict modesty rules are unbiblical. The modesty the Bible spoke on was more about wearing big fancy clothes to church. Women shouldn't have to feel like its their job to dress a certain say or worry about if the way their dressed is going to cause a man to stumble. I've read plenty comments here. You find people for and against the motion of women wearing trousers. Some say that God is only focused on the inside.🤔 It's an obvious truth that the bible said nothing about trousers, and according one male pastor there, trousers never existed in the time the bible was written. According to Deuteronomy, there's obviously clothes meant for men and clothes meant for women 🤔 If anyone as christian believe this clothes distinction, 🤔. Following these pastors argument Guess what people 👀 Skirts were not worn during the time the bible was written "So therefore, I can wear a skirt as a man"🤷🏾♀️ Let think about it 🤔 I can wear heels as a man 😂 Afterall, "is God concerned with the inside and not my appearance?" A major attribute of truth is that it is consistent (biblical truth) For some mysterious reasons, trousers is used to symbolize masculinity and gowns are used to symbolize feminity. You would know this if you've seen a sign board distincting gender. All these just mean I can wear something as long as the bible didn't say anything specific about it. Till date am yet to find that particular shirt that is specifically for men😂 But as a man, I know what shirts are feminine and don't wear them. Lastly, to say that there are female trousers means there can be the male versions of female clothes. Maybe a male blouse can simply be a plain blouse without flamboyant designs🤷🏾♀️. Why is it written in the bible then if it's not to be followed? Why would the Holy Bible give deut 22:5 if you as pastors dont care about it because it hurts your feelings? So God should compromise with man? Women are too great now that God should be like "ok ok you can wear pants sorry for hurting your feelings"? I agree that the heart is important but God wants all of us, body, mind and soul right?
Not just this, Even Corinthians talks about women should cover their head while praying or prophesying.. I think to what extent we can we should follow Gods word. We should repent of our sins, get baptized, receive the Holy spirit, live and walk according to Jesus's statutes. There's nothing to lose.. but there's so much to gain .. we will glorify God and we can give account of all our deeds when we see our heavenly father.

As a studying theology student, We understand the Bible isn’t always “inspired” rather the idea of morality. Even the pope agrees to this revaluation.
Look into the cultural context of those verses. The pagans that surrounded the Israelites would dress as the opposite sex to worship their both male and female god. The head covering passages were directed at a certain church. Paul's letters are thought to be answering back letters from many churches, but we don't have those questions. It's assumed that the church was asking if church was a public or private affair (women covered their head in public when they were married, sort of like a wedding ring. To take it off would be to suggest that you're available back then. That's why it later says it would be shameful for a woman to cut her hair, since that was the punishment for adultery.) So he says it's a public affair. None of these apply to us in our culture and time
Stop wearing pants for woman is being Holy, Honor, Glory, Pleasing God. It's not an offence, it is a logical thinking that if you accept the teaching you will not wear pants, cause in Heaven women don't wear pants. But if your ideological way of life and thinking depends on the physical appearance and abuse of free will, it is impossible to understand that wearing pants is a sin. I know you know wearing pants for women is not Holy, then it is a sin. Depends if you want to declare it as neutral, but that's not the way to please God. Church is the house of God, and pants for women mostly is for attraction, the But is embosed. Legs and above legs is well shaped. You can't be born with no intense attraction of men on women, cause men don't give a fuck to women if they are not attractive to it. It will be a waste of time and strenght for male if there;s no such attraction. You can't avoid young male between age 10-18 to look at it. You can't just tell them not to be attracted to women at those developing stage. You're in the house of God. It is not about legality of papers, not about the laws made by man, not about the schools and individual ideological teaching of family. It is not about reasoning why or why not. It is a choice if you want to keep the place Holy or not. Ask mother of Jesus if you are right about wearing pants and you already know the answer.

If you watch movies from couple decades ago, women used to wear dress not pants, I watching thr american old movie and thr woman in the movie wore a pants and the guy told the woman, I don't remember thr exact words at all but say you look like a man...something like that. so at that time it was unusual for women to wear pants but gradually thry social engineered the public.

I went back and Google what the men and women more in the biblical days it was not too much difference so think on that I do believe in dressing moderate Especially the people of God the women and the man should not wear clothes so tight it looks like your second skin or revealing most breast or body parts, same with men , showing most of their chest etc AS God's. people there should be different in the way we dress and act, talk. Many people on here say God looks are the heart and not what they wear. These people need to be careful. When someone says I accept Christ but inside his mind he is thinking I just want God to heal me - after that I would go back to my worldly lifestyle. Although that person has said the sinners prayer - that person is not saved because the prayer was not sincere from the heart. On my wedding day - all of a sudden my mind went through hundreds of scenarios of what my wife could do against me including cheating on me 😳 I decided that I loved this woman enough that whatever she did to me I could forgive her - so I gave her my ring and my heart as well. When one gives his life to Christ he must consider all the sins he commits and decide that Jesus is more important than all those things. That is what it means to do something from the heart ie genuinely. All genuine Christians go to heaven. So when people come here and say God sees the heart. The fact that you are outwardly wearing makeup, jewellery, trousers shows that your salvation was not from your heart - if your salvation was genuine you will give up everything that God says No to. Your life will be Jesus Christ and him alone. I mean how can a woman be dressed and look like a harlot, like a prostitute and say oh I repented and accepted Christ. It makes no sense.
The first thing God did when putting Adam and Eve out of Eden and into the fallen world we live in was make them coats of animal skin to wear, because the little fig leaf aprons they made themselves were not nearly enough. If He didn't care what we wear he wouldn't have bothered to do that.

When we are born again we are saved and Jesus is our righteousness and The Holy Spirit is given to us to guide us into all truth and we will be changed from the inside out , a new Heart and right desires are formed in us, everything wrought in Christ is Holy and everything of the flesh is not, so dead works of trying to be holy on the outside without the inside being cleansed is futile. For the woman pastor my question for her is why is she a pastor the. Bible says a woman should remain quiet and not lead man

And that only leaves shorts and pants for men. Exodus 28:42, Leviticus 6:10 that extend from the waist to cover a man's nakedness which is his thighs. And hosen in Daniel 3:21 were for men to wear to, and these are long pants. This first guy who spoke was assuming something he did not know sadly. Two items for women, and two items for men.

The verse people use from the old testament to say women can't wear pants was based on a pagan tradition in which men would don women's items or clothing and women would don armor. The word used to describe what women could not wear is translated as armor. Very specific, considering that'd exactly what the pagan women would do to worship their god. They dressed as the opposite sex to represent their god, who was both male and female. It's not again wearing pants or clothes, it's against idol worship. It cannot pertain to us today in our current culture and time, since those traditions have been done away with for a long, long time. And we are not under that covanent, we are under the New convanent through the Christ.

We are all born naked and our belongings (included wardrobe) will not follow us into eternity. Since every individual in our society must be dressed: wear what complements your body and personality. For some women that may mean wearing a company polo shirt and khaki pants. For others maybe it's a bikini and flip flops. Me personally I like to think it doesn't please God that I am a walking advertisement for my employer. I also know for a fact God *is* pleased with me putting food on the table for my family and helping people around me financially. Everyone should have a personal relationship with Jesus. Who are we to judge. Never judge a book by it's cover because you will always be deceived. Only God knows that person's situation and circumstance. Every single man looks at a woman's legs, boobs, and butt before they approach - this is normal. The problem starts after that. If you have to act like a completely different man to impress women that have nothing in common with you just to get laid... this is where sin begins. The more women you get, the more you idolize yourself before God. After it's all over you either kill yourself or go into a deep depression. That's called spiritual death.

Many people try to hold women accountable when really its the man's fault. Both sexes look at eachothers bodies, that doesn't mean its lust until you take it to the next step. Im not advacting for people to be in public naked, but strict modesty rules are unbiblical. The modesty the Bible spoke on was more about wearing big fancy clothes to church. I've read plenty comments here. You find people for and against the motion of women wearing trousers.
Some say that God is only focused on the inside.🤔
It's an obvious truth that the bible said nothing about trousers, and according one male pastor there, trousers never existed in the time the bible was written.
According to Deuteronomy, there's obviously clothes meant for men and clothes meant for women 🤔

A major attribute of truth is that it is consistent (biblical truth)
For some mysterious reasons, trousers is used to symbolize masculinity and gowns are used to symbolize feminity. You would know this if you've seen a sign board distincting gender.
All these just mean I can wear something as long as the bible didn't say anything specific about it.
Till date am yet to find that particular shirt that is specifically for men😂
But as a man, I know what shirts are feminine and don't wear them.
Lastly, to say that there are female trousers means there can be the male versions of female clothes. Maybe a male blouse can simply be a plain blouse without flamboyant designs🤷🏾♀️.

Why is it written in the bible then if it's not to be followed? Why would the Holy Bible give deut 22:5 if you as pastors dont care about it because it hurts your feelings? So God should compromise with man? Women are too great now that God should be like "ok ok you can wear pants sorry for hurting your feelings"? Not just this, Even Corinthians talks about women should cover their head while praying or prophesying.. I think to what extent we can we should follow Gods word. We should repent of our sins, get baptized, receive the Holy spirit, live and walk according to Jesus's statutes. There's nothing to lose.. but there's so much to gain .. we will glorify God and we can give account of all our deeds when we see our heavenly father.

To take it off would be to suggest that you're available back then. That's why it later says it would be shameful for a woman to cut her hair, since that was the punishment for adultery.) So he says it's a public affair. None of these apply to us in our culture and time

Stop wearing pants for woman is being Holy, Honor, Glory, Pleasing God.
It's not an offence, it is a logical thinking that if you accept the teaching you will not wear pants, cause in Heaven women don't wear pants.
But if your ideological way of life and thinking depends on the physical appearance and abuse of free will, it is impossible to understand that wearing pants is a sin.
I know you know wearing pants for women is not Holy, then it is a sin. Depends if you want to declare it as neutral, but that's not the way to please God.
Church is the house of God, and pants for women mostly is for attraction, the But is embosed. Legs and above legs is well shaped.
You can't be born with no intense attraction of men on women, cause men don't give a fuck to women if they are not attractive to it. It will be a waste of time and strenght for male if there;s no such attraction.
You can't avoid young male between age 10-18 to look at it. You can't just tell them not to be attracted to women at those developing stage. You're in the house of God.
It is not about legality of papers, not about the laws made by man, not about the schools and individual ideological teaching of family. It is not about reasoning why or why not.
It is a choice if you want to keep the place Holy or not. Ask mother of Jesus if you are right about wearing pants and you already know the answer.

I went back and Google what the men and women more in the biblical days it was not too much difference so think on that I do believe in dressing moderate

Many people on here say God looks are the heart and not what they wear. These people need to be careful. When someone says I accept Christ but inside his mind he is thinking I just want God to heal me - after that I would go back to my worldly lifestyle. Although that person has said the sinners prayer - that person is not saved because the prayer was not sincere from the heart.
On my wedding day - all of a sudden my mind went through hundreds of scenarios of what my wife could do against me including cheating on me 😳 I decided that I loved this woman enough that whatever she did to me I could forgive her - so I gave her my ring and my heart as well.
When one gives his life to Christ he must consider all the sins he commits and decide that Jesus is more important than all those things.
That is what it means to do something from the heart ie genuinely. All genuine Christians go to heaven.
So when people come here and say God sees the heart. The fact that you are outwardly wearing makeup, jewellery, trousers shows that your salvation was not from your heart - if your salvation was genuine you will give up everything that God says No to. Your life will be Jesus Christ and him alone.
I mean how can a woman be dressed and look like a harlot, like a prostitute and say oh I repented and accepted Christ. It makes no sense.
The first thing God did when putting Adam and Eve out of Eden and into the fallen world we live in was make them coats of animal skin to wear, because the little fig leaf aprons they made themselves were not nearly enough. If He didn't care what we wear he wouldn't have bothered to do that.

I teach against men wearing skirts and dresses, because they are pertaining to a woman. So it seems very obvious in my conscience that those are the things that only women should wear, not men. And that only leaves shorts and pants for men. Exodus 28:42, Leviticus 6:10 that extend from the waist to cover a man's nakedness which is his thighs. And hosen in Daniel 3:21 were for men to wear to, and these are long pants. This first guy who spoke was assuming something he did not know sadly. Two items for women, and two items for men.

And as Christians we are under a new covanent with God, we don't follow old testament laws. They would dress up as the opposite sex to represent their god who was both female and male.
