Does bible in any book, chapter or verse forbid women to wear coats and jackets? 6. Does it anywhere forbid shorts and pyjamas or say they are men's clothing? 7. Does bible anywhere forbid women to wear pantyhose because it takes the form of pants? 8. Are ties/bow ties, belts etc men's clothing or a sin when worn by women 9. Are sweaters, cardigans, overalls, jumpers men's clothing only. IF ANYTHING, PANTS ARE the most appropriate type of clothing that can conceal everything a woman needs to conceal. A woman wearing pants does not have to worry about wind accidentally blowing her dress and exposing her underwear to all and sundry. A woman on "her days" is much safer and better off wearing pants than wearing a dress. It's easier for a sexual attacker to molest a woman wearing a dress than a woman wearing pants. There are pants designed for men and pants designed for women just as there is underwear designed for men and underwear designed for women.

There was STILL yet a DIFFERENCE between the apparel of men and women; the men's clothing was SHORTER and TIGHTER (as they have less curves and softness), and the WOMEN wore LONGER and LOOSER garments, as to NOT entice others to commit the sin of LUST, because the FEMALE'S body is more BEAUTIFUL and ENTICING than the MALE body type!
My only thing that I disagree with, here, is the use of the phrase “what you’re willing to show, you’re willing to share” only because it makes it sound like assault is justified if a woman is wearing revealing clothing, which I disagree with heavily. I’m all about modesty, but I think the wording was faulty here is all.
I think the wording is spot on. It should make women reconsider what they're willing to show because it is going to come across as them willing to share it as well.
HOW IS THIS HARD? My gender is not so malleable but it depends on my attire. When I’m wearing shorts I’m wearing shorts for the convenience and comfort I’m not worried because I want to be a guy. You can clearly say I am a female. I don’t get how this is even a problem. Men’s attire isn’t even “men’s” attire it’s just attire, regulated toward men.
The whole world got messed up because Adam and Eve ate an apple when God said not to. It’s not the Bible that says what it says - it’s God that says what He says - that is why the bible is called the word of God.

Men is the image of God. You should know it cause Men are made first so that women can be created. Even women is the gateway of sin, God gave the higher punishment to the man and higher authority. It depends on the man if He will follow the true Father or the woman who speaks always to him how to be a man. And it depends on the woman if she will follow the man or she will be followed by the man. Your fathers decide the boarders of your homeland. Your fathers is the guilty of destroying the nature for woman's demand of needs. Your fathers is the guilty of killing other father for other needs in other homeland for women's demand and needs. And the woman will point her finger to the man guilty of everything she whisper to the fathers. The whisper calls for lust, hatred, envy, gluttony, greed, wrath, pride. And the worse victim of those whispers is woman. Man forgot the teachings of the True Father, when Father told the man to put water on the most beautiful flower now the man is picking up the most beautiful flower for the woman to beg for the love that's lost. Only the True Father can fill the love that's lost in the man for thousand years. Adam knew eating the apple is a bad thing but he never left eve, Adam proceed to ate the apple so that eve will not be alone and eve is the greatest gift from God to Adam. That's why the Bible indicate that Adam was not deceive but eve was deceive. Eve broke the heart of Adam when she listened to other. Woman never saw the love of man in this world and that man is the ruined image of God trying to go home. This World is already Ruined, if you think this World is getting better, it will never. God saw the end of this world. That's why He sen't His only Son to call people who can find the light cause He knew it will end. Woman you are more capable of going to hell, don't think you're invulnerable, man already knew he can be in hell. Don't listen to the whisper, don't be foolish that man will not commit sin/crimes in this world. and don't be foolish that your ways are perfect.
Stop wearing pants for woman is being Holy, Honor, Glory, Pleasing God. It's not an offence, it is a logical thinking that if you accept the teaching you will not wear pants, cause in Heaven women don't wear pants. But if your ideological way of life and thinking depends on the physical appearance and abuse of free will, it is impossible to understand that wearing pants is a sin. I know you know wearing pants for women is not Holy, then it is a sin. Depends if you want to declare it as neutral, but that's not the way to please God. Church is the house of God, and pants for women mostly is for attraction, the But is embosed. Legs and above legs is well shaped. You can't be born with no intense attraction of men on women, cause men don't give a fuck to women if they are not attractive to it. It will be a waste of time and strenght for male if there;s no such attraction. You can't avoid young male between age 10-18 to look at it. You can't just tell them not to be attracted to women at those developing stage. You're in the house of God. It is not about legality of papers, not about the laws made by man, not about the schools and individual ideological teaching of family. It is not about reasoning why or why not. It is a choice if you want to keep the place Holy or not. Ask mother of Jesus if you are right about wearing pants and you already know the answer.
But it is all in heart. Let's say you were living horrendous life with your body full of tattoos and piercings but then you find Jesus. Your love for Jesus and acceptance for Jesus as your savior should be enough. Do you think that Jesus will not accept you because of the way your body looks?
Ughhh I feel like some people in the comments miss the whole point of the Bible. The old testament has ALL kINDS of rules that we would ALL break. Leviticus 19:27 - men dont trim your beard. Jesus came to end the legalism, because NO ONE would ever get to heaven that way. Ever. He was very clear. He showed us what its important, that Jesus was all that matters and we are to follow his lead. This man "what your willing to show is what you are willing to share." That's the dumbest thing. So men who show their face (including married men) are saying they want to share their lips? So dumb. Just treat women like they are human and take control over your own life. Paul wrote a lot of these verses and men these days gravitate to them as if they're the literal words of God when they're not. I am a woman believer of God and I believe a woman can wear anything that is modest. I believe the dress and skirts are more appropriate for a woman. I wear pants all the time. I m starting to feel not right wearing pants for church. That's a change I think I am making that's not coming from me. Currently my wardrobe is mostly of pants and I don't wear skinny jeans nor the leggings.
It's been many hell testimonies of women come out saying that woman pants, make up, wigs, fake eye lashes are leading many women to hell. I’m trying to get the whole family off makeup, died hair, Gold Jewellery, High heels, painted hair and all the fake stuff like fake hair, nails, eyelashes etc. But here she comes with makeup jewellery - the lot but Jesus says No. I mean - only God will help us 🙏🏼🙏🏼
Why are those things so offensive or wrong ? Did God create jewels just for us to look at ? Women were gifted with jewelry in biblical times. I think we're all going too far! There's nothing wrong with a lil makeup etc. Modesty is key. For man looks at the outward appearance, but God judges according to the heart
God looks upon the heart. When we are born again we are saved and Jesus is our righteousness and The Holy Spirit is given to us to guide us into all truth and we will be changed from the inside out , a new Heart and right desires are formed in us, everything wrought in Christ is Holy and everything of the flesh is not, so dead works of trying to be holy on the outside without the inside being cleansed is futile. Unless we are born again (spiritual birth in Christ Jesus) we will not enter the Kingdom of God. I have walked for many years born again and Jesus has changed me ( taken me out of Egypt and Egypt out of me so to speak) and things I once did and loved have lost their attraction and hold over me and when God sets us free we are free indeed. Being legalistic will cause people to judge others on the basis of how they look and dress etc , which is the worse sin? It is amazing to watch the changes over a period of time when someone is a baby Christian, we do not need to fret. “The LORD will fulfill his purpose for me” ( The way God works in every part of our lives, inside and out, reveals that He loves us deeply and has a significant plan for us.
Most people in hell got there because they thought God was joking. The girl that is not saved - it’s not even about what she is wearing. What we are wearing is about a Godly woman who is still seeking the world. A friend of the world is an enemy of God. You talk of it as some worldly desire when people wear trousers because they're just practical to wear in situations. Why don't you tell me what I'm missing. God did speak of keeping differences between men and women but he never mentioned what the differences that should be. It could be men having short hair and women having long hair. I came to realize that some people think when the Bible tells them to come as they have to remain the way they came like and not fix the wrong things they have been doing that brought them to him in the first place , God is only trying to say that you don't have to fix something on you first in order to face him , you need to have him work on it together with you and you can fix the thing later not remain the way you came like , don't know if it makes sense it's my way of thinking

We are all born naked and our belongings (included wardrobe) will not follow us into eternity. Since every individual in our society must be dressed: wear what complements your body and personality. For some women that may mean wearing a company polo shirt and khaki pants. For others maybe it's a bikini and flip flops. My interpretation of "lust" is more than just looking at a woman because of her body. Every single man looks at a woman's legs, boobs, and butt before they approach - this is normal. The problem starts after that. Some guys just want to get laid by a pretty girl and willing to spend hundreds of dollars and do stupid stuff to show off. If you have to act like a completely different man to impress women that have nothing in common with you just to get laid... this is where sin begins. The more women you get, the more you idolize yourself before God. After it's all over you either kill yourself or go into a deep depression. That's called spiritual death.

Many people try to hold women accountable when really its the man's fault. Both sexes look at eachothers bodies, that doesn't mean its lust until you take it to the next step. The word pants or trousers is not in the Bible. That verse is usually used to hit women. The verse simply means to not look like a woman if you are a man and visa versa. Amen

Is it not a proven fact that women like men with big shoulders? Is it not a proven fact that mens suit jackets are tailored to accentuate a mans shoulders as well as his chest? If you are lusting after a girl because she is wearing pants it is your choice to take part of the sin of lust. You have to already be lusting in your mind and heart to fall into a spell of lust over a woman wearing pants. People do not get awkward situations generally because a woman wearing pants walks into the room. Dresses are far more exposing also in a practical world. I am a healthy man with a healthy sex drive. I am also a married man who loves the Lord and loves my wife. I will not lust after another woman. Lust is intent. Lust is wanting but knowing it is not likely so fooling ourselves to say well I know I am not going to have sex with her but at least I can look. What if she offers and you already fed the lust? If I see a deliberately sexy image on tv or online or in public my eyes dart away because I do not want to be tempted by lust. I don't even have to think about it. God helps me with this because I asked him to. I was tired of feeling shameful and guilty when my conscience was telling me not to look and I was catching a peak. I had no ill intent I thought but I was feeding my mind with an image that I knew could stir feelings with a hormonal response that leads to sexual attraction. I have a beautiful wife. If I look at all the skin and butts I see out there and rate them I am going to start to see my own wife differently. Its wrong. All clothing can be modest or not modest. We are reasonable intelligent human beings who know we are not getting excited over every woman in pants. Think about your grand mother or Mrs. Brown the 67 year old lady who works at your grocery store and tell me the fact she is wearing jeans or slacks is turning you on. Are you turning your eyes from them in an attempt to protect yourself from temptation or saying grandma please cover up? No and it is silly to say all pants are made to make a woman look sexy. I do not lust after my wife either. There is something way more powerful than lust when it comes to attraction. The wonder and beauty of being attracted to my wife in all the beauty God gave her and gave her for me is something only I can see fully and feel fully. No one else can love my wife like I can or appreciate her like I can. Now I can also see a woman who is dressed not so modestly or go to the beach where there are many women not dressed so modestly and I can not shield my eyes form everything I see. Lust is not a problem for me anymore and I do not have to see anything other than a human being that is nice looking and was made beautifully by God for someone else and I do not have to think of her in any sexual way or have any feelings stir in me. It is up to us to avoid temptation. I can still go to the beach and not be tempted. That means it is a choice. I chose to go to God and ask for help with all my sinful nature and he gave me the Holy Spirit to do so with. All else is a choice to disobey him. Making this no pants on women thing a rule in church is legalistic and legalism is a tool used to hide a greater lie inside that is covering excuses for choosing a sinful nature. "Oh how can I be good with all these women wearing pants tempting me. The women are not tempting you it is Satan trying to mix you up.

Ok , so much could be said here. When God puts that calling on your heart to come , you come as you are & he will do the cleaning up of sin in your life if you fully surrender. For we know that the bible says no man seeks God, but God seeks man. Heavens and the earth will pass but my word will remain saith the LORD. God is perfect in All That He Does. He’s God. What he says is what he means. His word has no private interpretation. I went back and Google what the men and women more in the biblical days it was not too much difference so think on that I do believe in dressing moderate Especially the people of God the women and the man should not wear clothes so tight it looks like your second skin or revealing most breast or body parts, same with men , showing most of their chest etc AS God's. people there should be different in the way we dress and act, talk. As far back as 1995, the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette (Oct. 17, 1995) published an article, by Carrie Rangers about a straight man, Dale Miller, who wore a skirt with a man's shirt, tie, and jacket to work every day (I've got dozens more articles along this line.) So if this trend continues - the same way women in pants did beginning in the 1920s and 30s, and it becomes “socially acceptable, will God be okay with it, in the same way you think God is okay with women wearing pants? You cannot change those laws just because you feel comfortable with and you don't worship God dressed in the way that is an abomination to him. Some say that God is only focused on the inside.🤔 It's an obvious truth that the bible said nothing about trousers, and according one male pastor there, trousers never existed in the time the bible was written. If I should ever have kids and a husband my husband would wear trousers, not jeans, and my daughters would wear dresses below the knee. None of them would wear jewelry, makeup or have tattoos. It will be a completely modest home and if I have sons they would cut their hair and grow their beards. I'm so old fashioned, women should wear dresses and men should wear trousers.

Early Roman Christians wore togas, skirts and long flowing robes. The founding fathers of the USA dressed in wigs with ribbons, silk fancy clothes etc. In Medieval times men wore a dress shirt and leggings. A lot of Christians do judge with dagger eyes, a person how they look and dress, instead of looking at their hearts mind and soul as God does. Also the old testament says to not cut the body, but if one has open heart surgery is that sin when the body is cut. Also thousands of innocents who were said to be witches were put to death as Christians in the past, followed what the OT said about not letting a witch live.

My only thing that I disagree with, here, is the use of the phrase “what you’re willing to show, you’re willing to share” only because it makes it sound like assault is justified if a woman is wearing revealing clothing, which I disagree with heavily. I’m all about modesty, but I think the wording was faulty here is all.

HOW IS THIS HARD? My gender is not so malleable but it depends on my attire. When I’m wearing shorts I’m wearing shorts for the convenience and comfort I’m not worried because I want to be a guy. Ughhh I feel like some people in the comments miss the whole point of the Bible. The old testament has ALL kINDS of rules that we would ALL break. Leviticus 19:27 - men dont trim your beard. I am a woman believer of God and I believe a woman can wear anything that is modest. I believe the dress and skirts are more appropriate for a woman. I wear pants all the time. I m starting to feel not right wearing pants for church. That's a change I think I am making that's not coming from me. Currently my wardrobe is mostly of pants and I don't wear skinny jeans nor the leggings.

When we are born again we are saved and Jesus is our righteousness and The Holy Spirit is given to us to guide us into all truth and we will be changed from the inside out , a new Heart and right desires are formed in us, everything wrought in Christ is Holy and everything of the flesh is not, so dead works of trying to be holy on the outside without the inside being cleansed is futile. Unless we are born again (spiritual birth in Christ Jesus) we will not enter the Kingdom of God. I have walked for many years born again and Jesus has changed me ( taken me out of Egypt and Egypt out of me so to speak) and things I once did and loved have lost their attraction and hold over me and when God sets us free we are free indeed. Being legalistic will cause people to judge others on the basis of how they look and dress etc , which is the worse sin? I came to realize that some people think when the Bible tells them to come as they have to remain the way they came like and not fix the wrong things they have been doing that brought them to him in the first place , God is only trying to say that you don't have to fix something on you first in order to face him , you need to have him work on it together with you and you can fix the thing later not remain the way you came like , don't know if it makes sense it's my way of thinking

We are all born naked and our belongings (included wardrobe) will not follow us into eternity. Since every individual in our society must be dressed: wear what complements your body and personality. For some women that may mean wearing a company polo shirt and khaki pants. For others maybe it's a bikini and flip flops. Me personally I like to think it doesn't please God that I am a walking advertisement for my employer. I also know for a fact God *is* pleased with me putting food on the table for my family and helping people around me financially. Everyone should have a personal relationship with Jesus. Who are we to judge. Never judge a book by it's cover because you will always be deceived. Only God knows that person's situation and circumstance. What looks completely wrong in our eyes may look totally different in the eyes of our father.

Every single man looks at a woman's legs, boobs, and butt before they approach - this is normal. The problem starts after that. Some guys just want to get laid by a pretty girl and willing to spend hundreds of dollars and do stupid stuff to show off. If you have to act like a completely different man to impress women that have nothing in common with you just to get laid... this is where sin begins. The more women you get, the more you idolize yourself before God. After it's all over you either kill yourself or go into a deep depression. That's called spiritual death.

The word pants or trousers is not in the Bible. That verse is usually used to hit women. The verse simply means to not look like a woman if you are a man and visa versa. Amen
The teachings that associate red nail polish, makeup, and certain hairstyles with modesty are not universally accepted, even within America. Therefore, these teachings may lack depth as they do not address the geographical variations in the concept of modesty. It seems these pastors are preaching based on their local understanding, limiting their perspective to their immediate surroundings.
Is it not a proven fact that women like men with big shoulders? Is it not a proven fact that mens suit jackets are tailored to accentuate a mans shoulders as well as his chest? If you are lusting after a girl because she is wearing pants it is your choice to take part of the sin of lust. You have to already be lusting in your mind and heart to fall into a spell of lust over a woman wearing pants. People do not get awkward situations generally because a woman wearing pants walks into the room. Dresses are far more exposing also in a practical world.
I am a healthy man with a healthy sex drive. I am also a married man who loves the Lord and loves my wife. I will not lust after another woman. Lust is intent. Lust is wanting but knowing it is not likely so fooling ourselves to say well I know I am not going to have sex with her but at least I can look. What if she offers and you already fed the lust? If I see a deliberately sexy image on tv or online or in public my eyes dart away because I do not want to be tempted by lust. I don't even have to think about it. God helps me with this because I asked him to. I was tired of feeling shameful and guilty when my conscience was telling me not to look and I was catching a peak. I had no ill intent I thought but I was feeding my mind with an image that I knew could stir feelings with a hormonal response that leads to sexual attraction. I have a beautiful wife. If I look at all the skin and butts I see out there and rate them I am going to start to see my own wife differently. Its wrong.
All clothing can be modest or not modest. We are reasonable intelligent human beings who know we are not getting excited over every woman in pants. Think about your grand mother or Mrs. Brown the 67 year old lady who works at your grocery store and tell me the fact she is wearing jeans or slacks is turning you on. Are you turning your eyes from them in an attempt to protect yourself from temptation or saying grandma please cover up? No and it is silly to say all pants are made to make a woman look sexy.
I do not lust after my wife either. There is something way more powerful than lust when it comes to attraction. The wonder and beauty of being attracted to my wife in all the beauty God gave her and gave her for me is something only I can see fully and feel fully. No one else can love my wife like I can or appreciate her like I can. Now I can also see a woman who is dressed not so modestly or go to the beach where there are many women not dressed so modestly and I can not shield my eyes form everything I see. Lust is not a problem for me anymore and I do not have to see anything other than a human being that is nice looking and was made beautifully by God for someone else and I do not have to think of her in any sexual way or have any feelings stir in me. It is up to us to avoid temptation. I can still go to the beach and not be tempted. That means it is a choice. I chose to go to God and ask for help with all my sinful nature and he gave me the Holy Spirit to do so with. All else is a choice to disobey him. Making this no pants on women thing a rule in church is legalistic and legalism is a tool used to hide a greater lie inside that is covering excuses for choosing a sinful nature. "Oh how can I be good with all these women wearing pants tempting me. The women are not tempting you it is Satan trying to mix you up.

It sounds like you guys (and gal) simply answered this question "off the cuff." You answered using your own experience, the norms of the culture, and gave very little attention to Scripture that is relevant to the question. In addition there were several logical fallacies and historical errors in your claims. If the Bible says something is an abomination to the LORD, it is a serious offense - God detests things that are abominable to Him. I think you are on shaky ground here. This issue ought not be taken lightly. In Matthew 5:19 Jesus gives a warning concerning the moral law: "Whoever therefore breaks the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven." It would be wise, then, to err on the side of the conservative, don't you think?

4) Though ancient drawings and relief carvings show that some men did wear a robe type garment, my Bible Customs text book from seminary says that men wore shorter robes than women and also that they were "girded up ...." This meant the hem of the robe was gathered up between the thighs and gave a very distinct look (much like loose trousers) from the woman. There are a number of references in the Bible that use the phrase "GIRD UP your lions like a man" and are addressed only to men. The passage in Proverbs 31about the virtuous woman, says, "she girds herself with strength, she strengthens her arms" is NOT a reference to girding herself like a man for two reasons: First, it is a metaphor in the same way Ephesians 6:14 "having girded your waist with truth" is a metaphor. It's not describing her manner of dress. Second, Proverbs 31:17 does not even use the word "up" in conjunction with "gird." To gird up" has a specific meaning, whereas "gird" is very general and in a literal sense means simply to fasten or secure something. So, did Jesus wear a long robe? If He did, he was a hypocrite; otherwise, why would He criticize the scribes by saying, "Beware of the scribes, who desire to go around in long robes, love greetings in the marketplaces. . . ." (Matt. 12:38, Luke 20:46).
5) Since distinction is the main issue with Deut. 22:5, it seems that a woman wearing pants or some kind of leg-covering UNDER A SKIRT or dress in order to keep her legs warm would NOT be a violation, since the skirt would be the outer garment and provide the distinction necessary. But, if it is not a sin for a woman to wear pants as an OUTER garment, would you say then, that it is not a sin for a man to wear a skirt? After all, it is becoming a new fashion trend. As far back as 1995, the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette (Oct. 17, 1995) published an article, by Carrie Rangers about a straight man, Dale Miller, who wore a skirt with a man's shirt, tie, and jacket to work every day (I've got dozens more articles along this line.) So if this trend continues - the same way women in pants did beginning in the 1920s and 30s, and it becomes “socially acceptable, will God be okay with it, in the same way you think God is okay with women wearing pants?

A major attribute of truth is that it is consistent (biblical truth)
For some mysterious reasons, trousers is used to symbolize masculinity and gowns are used to symbolize feminity. You would know this if you've seen a sign board distincting gender.
All these just mean I can wear something as long as the bible didn't say anything specific about it.
Till date am yet to find that particular shirt that is specifically for men😂
But as a man, I know what shirts are feminine and don't wear them.
Lastly, to say that there are female trousers means there can be the male versions of female clothes. Maybe a male blouse can simply be a plain blouse without flamboyant designs🤷🏾♀️.
If u say God focuses on the outside, then you're saying that crossdressers aren't doing wrong (since the bible doesn't say what specifically is for a man or woman 🤷🏾♀️).

Umm like no way. These guys don't know what it means to be a godly man.
If I should ever have kids and a husband my husband would wear trousers, not jeans, and my daughters would wear dresses below the knee. None of them would wear jewelry, makeup or have tattoos. It will be a completely modest home and if I have sons they would cut their hair and grow their beards. I'm so old fashioned, women should wear dresses and men should wear trousers.
Women should wear pants too, especially when it's freezing outside.

I teach against men wearing skirts and dresses, because they are pertaining to a woman. So it seems very obvious in my conscience that those are the things that only women should wear, not men. And that only leaves shorts and pants for men. Exodus 28:42, Leviticus 6:10 that extend from the waist to cover a man's nakedness which is his thighs. And hosen in Daniel 3:21 were for men to wear to, and these are long pants. This first guy who spoke was assuming something he did not know sadly. Two items for women, and two items for men. Early Roman Christians wore togas, skirts and long flowing robes. The founding fathers of the USA dressed in wigs with ribbons, silk fancy clothes etc. In Medieval times men wore a dress shirt and leggings. A lot of Christians do judge with dagger eyes, a person how they look and dress, instead of looking at their hearts mind and soul as God does. Also the old testament says to not cut the body, but if one has open heart surgery is that sin when the body is cut. Also thousands of innocents who were said to be witches were put to death as Christians in the past, followed what the OT said about not letting a witch live.
