- Hi! My name is Jenn, I’ve been around the sun 62 times and live in the beautiful state of Maine. In the fall of 2020, I decided that I was going to see how long I could go wearing dresses and skirts only…every day. Three years later I’m still wearing dresses, and I can’t wait to share how it has transformed my life.
I hope you join me

I ❤ wearing dresses and skirts. It makes me feel very feminine. And I stopped wearing pants about a year ago.
thank you Jess for this video. its an inspiration because people always tell me my style will change when i get older or ask me if ill still only wear skirts and dresses when im older especially flowy feminine dresses. I never understand the question because me liking girly pieces wouldnt change just because my age will. So its nice seeing a more mature women still in feminine girly dresses.
I hope you make more videos. I really like your style.
I'm 65 from western Canada .. So happy I found you! I've been wearing skirts and dresses for more formal or group events but am slowly trying to switch everyday wear to dresses and skirts. I have fond memories of my grandma who I never saw wearing pants. She was a seamstress and when I visited her, she would proudly show me all the dresses she made since my last visit! I honestly believe that as I'm getting older I look so much better in dresses and skirts ... pants just no longer seem comfortable or flattering
Hi, thank you for watching my video. My grandmother wore dresses every day too. And she always wore about a 1 1/2 inch heel ☺️
I agree, dresses are comfortable, and why should we save them for special occasions? We are the special occasion 😉
Thank you for the tips ❤
You are very welcome! Thank you for stopping by ☺️
Hello fellow dress/skirts only friends! I'm 30 and I quit pants 2ish years ago. I love pantyhose/stockings and leggings for the cold weather, especially sweater tights and fleece lined leggings. Lately I have been in the gym more and have kept to skirts only by getting "tennis skorts". It makes me feel like a lady and people are often quite surprised to see a woman in a skirt at the gym 😂 I've never been more comfortable than I have been in the last few years. You look so lovely in your babydoll dresses! Looking forward to more of your videos!
There's few things I find more badass than a woman who wears a dress or skirt to a place (the gym in your case) where it wouldn't be expected!
I started wearing skirts this summer as well! Aren’t they great? And there are so many great styles of athletic skorts! Thank you for adding to this conversation 🙏
Skirts do give one more outfit options, as opposed to only dresses. Did you end up making a capsule wardrobe?? I believe you mentioned that in another video.
I am yes, I have been filming my fall closet cleaning experience and will present a video on what I have settled on to keep 😊
Looking forward to seeing it! 😊
Jen, good for you. I'm also 62 and love to wear dresses. I still wear my jeans but not as much as I used to. I love your dresses and the way you style them. I have had people ask me why I'm so dressed up. I've others say they liked what I had on. Thanks for posting your experience.
I hope your 62nd year is a good one! Thank you for your comment. I am an in home support person for the elderly and they love to see what I’m wearing each day. One sweet lady loves it when I wear her aprons, she likes us to do the same things when I’m there. Most in my circle don’t question it any more. Once in a while I’ll get a comment from someone like “where are you going!” 😂 it’s funny to me now because clothes are just clothes whether they have legs and sleeves in them or not. 😊
@@thedabler8470 I would love to see your aprons! I have a small apron collection my Mother In Law gifted me from her matriarchs and one custom for Xmas last year and I love them!
Hello from France. I love wearing dresses and skirts. ♥♥♥
Bonjour! Comment vas-tu? I am happy to hear you also enjoy wearing dresses 😊
I loved this. Thanks for sharing this. I love finding others who feel the same as me. I’ve watched this video a few times. I don’t know why but I really love this topic and like to hear why others love skirts and dresses too.
Thank you for watching! I am so glad you found enjoyment in this video. I have really wanted to do them more often but goodness life has a way of pulling us to and fro!
I am semi retired as of march so I hope to be able to spend more time here. ☺️
3:37 I have always loved skirts, dresses and jumpers. Mostly vintage 40s style. I love the petticoat I so agree.
Oh my goodness petticoats are a game changer for us northern girls! I feel like I have been warmer on a daily basis dressing this way than I ever was in pants. Oh the 40’s style is a wonderful time period for dresses. I’d love to experiment a bit with more vintage clothes. Thank you for watching!
❤❤❤ Beautiful ❤❤❤ I am in the process to change my pants to dress and skirts😊
You look so lovely!
Thank you very much! ☺️
Oh never ever jeans anymore….Not into torment ❤
How many dresses do you own? And how many do you rotate or regularly in a typical week or two before you do laundry again?
Hello! Thank you for your questions . I have 10 dresses and 5 pairs of overalls, in my winter rotation. These items I have purchased retail or thrifted, within the last 3 years. That doesn’t count the sweaters and accessories I use to change up my look. I am very stingy about my laundering because Mr. D dirties a lot of clothes weekly due to being a meat cutter. I wear each article of clothing at least 3 times before laundering. I also wear aprons when cooking. I don’t put my dresses or overalls in the dryer. You’d be surprised how much these practices save on clothing. I have been thinking a laundering video would be fun, what do you think?
@thedabler8470 Laundry video sounds great. I, too, wear my clothes a couple of times before putting them in the dirty clothes basket. I remember I did a research project in school talking about the benefits of rewearing your jeans and not washing them too much. I bought a door hook rack for my closet, and I hang my pajamas, robes, and _clothing to rewear_ there because hanging the items up allows them to air out and stay fresh longer.
