I'm almost in year 3 of wearing dresses only. I quit for the same reasons you listed here. I'll add the negative attention I received from men when I'm wearing jeans/slacks, the cat calls, rude remarks about my body. Their approach was rather dirty. Even when it was to ask me on a date. Now no one speaks to me like that since I've been wearing dresses. I'm addressed in a manner that I appreciate now. I love dresses 👗💕
For five years now, I've only worn floral dresses when not at work. It makes me happy and helps me escape into my own little world. In public I come off as playful, whimsical and a bit nutty. I just don't take myself too seriously and I like having fun. Dresses are fun and minimalistic. All you need is one garment to look put together.
As for your over the knee dresses, maybe add a small weight to the hem to keep it from flopping up I the wind. And/or add wide bands at the hem to lengthen a bit when over the knee and without the addition it might ride up too much by accident when sitting or stepping in/out of an auto. Respect and thank you for your presence and good taste making the world better for the rest of us.
I've never felt comfortable in jeans, my whole life! I always felt closed in and constricted when I wore them. I finally gave up on them years back, and haven't owned nor worn them since. I feel much freer. You're beautiful in your dresses. Thank you for sharing your feelings and experiences.
I only wear dresses and skirts too but mainly dresses. I love it! It’s easier when dressing for the day,I feel feminine and people always tell me I look dressed up! Also I do it for religious reasons. I love finding videos of other women who do the same
I feel the same way. When I revamped my wardrobe to skirts only (I'm 5'2" and full-figured, and have an easier time fitting into two-piece outfits), I felt so free! I can do anything in a skirt- my shelf-stocking job, hiking, picnics, amusement parks- and what started as a fun experiment has become a meaningful part of life for seven years now. The one time I tried on jeans after a while, they felt too rough-textured and restricting. I've done a lot of reading about 'skirts/dresses only', and find that so many women share similar experiences about feeling more 'put-together', and how there's something about modest skirts that brings out more courtesy and respect in men. Thank you for sharing your reasons!
One way to get dresses is exchange them I have a neighbour I give her my pants and she gave some dresses. She feels empowered in pants while I find its natural to wear dresses we go out together playing pool and dancing.
I actually gave up denim in the beginning in 2022. I moved straight to leggings and other "fabric" pants and also a lot of dresses. I feel too underdressed a lot of times in leggings. Since I already own a lot of dresses and skirts, I'm definitely making the switch. It's a good excuse to go shopping 🤣 and I can wear a lot of my leggings under the dresses in autumn&winter so that's a handy bonus
Great decision! Dresses are so much more feminine than jeans. I like the idea of a one piece dress, we just need to add earrings and shoes and we're ready!
I love wearing dresses daily! I typically wear dresses about 95% of the time and jeans 5% of the time. But I definitely prefer dresses the most!☺️ All your dresses were so pretty and modest. Floral print dresses are my favorite and have pretty much become my uniform year round.☺️
I primarily wear tights or yoga pants 😆 im always doing so much house work id be so irritable to get dog hair or whatever is on my kids hands that day on a beautiful dress.
Love this! You're so cute with great style. I'm "older" and never wear jeans or pants. I even wear dresses camping. If it's cold, I put leggings under my dress. Perfect! I never feel constricted in any way with dresses and so many more cute options with dresses.
I prefer dresses too, so much more comfortable than jeans and you look way better! I do still wear jeans every now then mostly for warmth but I agree why are jeans so popular?
I agree with you. I loathe jeans. They make me feel awful. And I love dresses. You love the way they make you feel free. Jeans make me feel I’m in a corset. Uuurgh. Sweet video.
Me, too! That is exactly what I wear. Leggings and sweater dresses during the winter and I do have cotton and pajama pants to wear around the house. I even do mu gardening in a dress. It is so much easier. I have several pairs of shoes and I just throw on a dress and---voila! Easy.
I value comfort above all and JEANS are NOT comfortable. Everytime i wear it and eat food, i'd need to unzip my pants to breath. No i'm not fat. A person stomach need to expand when they eat or drink and the rigid jeans material does not give. Keep more dress content coming. I'm on my way too to get rid of jeans and can't wait to fill my closet up with flowing dresses.
I've been thinking of wearing dresses only for a few years now..as i mature in life i get tired of the hugging n uncomfortable feeling with dress pants n jeans at times..i want to feel less clothes as possible some days n dresses are relaxing comfortable n feminine sexy .. i like the simplicity of one garment with accessories..i still haven't worn just dresses yet I'm building my wardrobe with casual dresses mine are mostly dressy 😊
Haha I wear primarily dresses for comfort as well! Call it my work uniform, I don’t have to think too hard to look well put together and I actually HATE how jeans feel I just accepted I have to wear them…but I don’t!
I love both dresses and pants, but yes it is easier to wear dresses in my opinion. For certain medical appointments it can be more convenient to wear pants. Modesty is high on my list of fashion priorities. When I became chronically ill, I had to stop wearing jeans all together. I'm getting back in touch with my womanhood in general, which includes wearing more dresses & skirts regardless of what I'm doing on a daily basis.
I only wear skirts and dresses all the year round, I hated wearing jeans and, trousers and shorts, and I don’t wear anything tight fitting or shorter than my knees, I have thick leggings and tights for the cold weather and 1 pair of loose longer shorts for wearing underneath when I am on my bicycle
I prefer dresses, but I also wear skirts and tops. I garden in an old dress with leggings. I still own some jeans and dress pants, but it’s been years since I’ve worn them. God is so good.
I still wear jeans a lot but I'm becoming more fond of dresses. I like to say they're the laziest way to look nice 😆 I'm enjoying your channel! God bless!
I decide I don't want to wear jeans anymore, but more onto high waist kind of loose trousers. I haven't found dresses/skirts that I like for me yet that are cotton and my style and/or budget. Separates work for me at the moment. A frilly puff sleeve high neck top and high waist kind of loose trousers are my style uniform.
Loved watching your video!! I too am a dress fan and did a 100 day dress challenge two years ago. I have not worn pants or jeans since that time -only dresses. I agree with the simplicity and femininity of it-so easy to feel put together and comfortable. The 100 day challenge is put on by WOOL& dresses. Wear the dress for 100 days and get $100 credit towards another dress. You might want to check it out. (I get nothing from sharing this just love of well made dresses)
I have but one pair of jeans now. I have gravitated towards a more Katharine Hepburn style in my thirties. I love a linen pant or trousers. But I am also wearing more dresses. I’m just so tired of jeans all day every day. 🧐🤓
This is great ♡ I love all the colors and patterns ♡ I created my first capsule video... though I do own lot's of pants/jeans. I like all your arguments : flowy/feminine, easy etc.. love this hoping to connect with other "minimal people" :D
@@LifeWithBerylanne For this spring, I've got a few shirts (several colors), dresses, skirts & jeans :) a bit of everything so I have some choice without having way too much
I’m 60 and would love to wear dresses but I’m always so cold and I need a good sturdy shoe. I never know what shoes to wear with them. You look beautiful in all your dresses. Where do you buy them?
I usually wear a pair of basic flats with my dresses! 👍 Sturdy shoes are best! I get most of my dresses from thrift stores or clearance racks at stores. Thanks for watching! 😊
I love your dresses! I’ve been trying to find the style of dresses you wear in plus size/maternity. If you have any leads please send me links! It is so hard to find flattering modest dresses in bigger sizes, especially for the summer. I find that any kind of bottom if uncomfortable during pregnancy too. My hope is to transition my wardrobe to 90% dresses. Thanks for the inspiration!
Have you heard of the store Torrid or Catherine's? It's a Plus size store. It's usually inside of malls or plazas. I mainly get my dresses at thrift stores and sales rack. It's getting pretty much harder to find modest clothing in popular mainstream stores! I hope this helps! 👍😘
I typically get my dresses from thrift stores. I sometimes shop discount stores or sales racks, and if it's good quality I'll get it. Also hand-me-downs are accepted! Thanks so much! 😘
Most jeans aren’t attractive at all… only a very few styles. They’re men’s clothing for many various jobs or dirty work. Tee shirts are also men’s clothing. The Bible tells us, “A woman must not wear men’s clothing, nor a man wear women’s clothing, for the LORD your God detests anyone who does this.” Deuteronomy 22:5. There’s another reason to be cautious of wearing pants, and that’s because of how one’s bottom is exposed… Rather than speaking of jeans, let’s talk about pants, tee shirts, sweatshirts, jackets, etc…. Which are men’s clothing or wardrobe. Women look ladylike or feminine in women’s clothing.
Do you wear primarily dresses or jeans? Drop a comment below! 👗👖😘
mostly jeans, but definitely ready for a change. I'm so done with pants 😂
new sub
I agree wear dress and skirts for at least 15 years
Dresses!
Dresses, skirts & feminine blouses…. Only jeans for yard work
I retired jeans from wardrobe 4 years ago. Never going back. Only dresses for me 😊 Jeans are uncomfortable anyway 😂
As a style consultant I definitely agree! Especially if you want a feminine, fresh, chic, and minimal wardrobe dresses are the way to go.
That's right! 👍❤

I do think men are more respectful to me when I’m dressed modestly and feminine… holding the doors, being kind, not cat calling etc …
Do you think some women refuse to wear dresses and skirts precisely _because_ they see it as pandering to the desires of men?
Is this not average behaviour
🙄

Dresses and skirts only for 5 years and love it
I only wear dresses now and I love it and I am never turning back.❤

Same!
I definitely prefer dresses and skirts over jeans and trousers. I would like to eventually phase out pants all together.

I love the cute dresses - feminine is classic and classy, I admire the commitment!!
I have toyed with the idea of switching to only dresses and this definitely makes me want to try it more!

I'm guessing jeans are so popular with women due to the societal shift of womanhood! Beats me! 👍🤷♀️

@TheHelpmeetJourney your welcome lady I'm so surprised to read comments on so many women wearing dresses 👗 wow!!
I don't wear dresses only, but love wearing them several days a week. So easy to be put together❤

Greetings from Australia again my lovely friend. Long time as was suffering from depression but I never forgotten you 💜💜💜
Hello friend! I hope you feel better! 🙏 Thanks for checking on me, how kind! 😘
Yes! I feel the same way.
I don't wear pants anymore only to workout in and to work.
Ooh I see your editing ❤ I loved this! 😊

you look so elegant

White runners like Nike or some sketchers will provide support and sturdiness while matching with dresses and basically any casual attire
The reason why I don't wear pants is Deuteronomy 22:5. You develop your femininity and its easy to maintain. Thanks for sharing!

Except that in the Biblical setting didn't _both_ genders wear dress-like garments?
