Even though he's homeless, he's still happy. Bless this man's heart.
Edit: Y'all, I know this is a show, I was talking about the character and how he acts about his homelessness.

And he took that so well emotionally, trying to help him to the very end. To a degree, it helped him teach Dr. Reese, so arguments on fate could be made. The actor who plays him, Oliver Platt's mom was a clinical social worker. She raised him well, if he can play such an intense role so flawlessly
Which he needed mentally.
This is so sad that all the commenters are talking about how homeless people would never get help. I live in the UK where we have free healthcare an it just makes me sad for America.
Anna Mooney I know
In Canada - takes 5 hours to see someone. Free healthcare has its draw backs
Collin Spence. Still, five hours of waiting is better than a lifetime of cancer. I live in Australia, so it’s like this, but not as long.
However I live in the UK as well but there was a homeless man who was about 10 minutes from the town centre he usually slept outside of tesco, for about a week he was in agony and he called out for help when until one night he died, I don't know how but his body was left for a day before he hot taken away, rip
@@jofinin22 where in the UK do you live. I live in the outskirts of London in a place called Coulsdon and I've never seen anything like that
I swear watching this show makes me feel smarter.
For me, it makes me more understanding, especially watching Dr Charles
I swear it s true
Same
Yha man
No. You’re all pretty dumb.
That homeless guy is acting crazy and happy lol God love him
Yep. Crazy hand happy is still crazy.
But as long as he's doing ok, he gets to be crazy.
Lucy Mackenzie plz refer as patient
Hi
Hi Means yes in Japanese
Homeless people getting medical aid, medicine, doctor attention? In chicago? A US city? this is total fiction, I get it, but I thought they'd try to make it a little bit realistic, it seems like they try when it comes to the terminology.
Some hospitals let in homeless patients in as the swore an oath not to harm
Some hospitals finds excuses to kick them out to die. I've seen that too. Doctors are good people, hospitals are corporations that focus on profit alone.
James Suhr Don't underestimate this, There are kind people in this world willing to do this.
If a doctor deems that their could be a serious and potentially life threatening issue behind what is happening they MUST in good conscience and legally are obligated to treat said patient to the best of their ability. Because if said patient leaves, then dies the next day for the same reason he came in the day before, they're legally liable for his death and may be sued for malpractice.
@Andy You'd be surprised. 🙄
The patient is super cute ...he seemed so proud when they tested his sight
Even though he is homeless he seems like such a wholesome person
' in my experience we get the patients we need'
Stephanie starrett omg i was on this part as I was scrolling down 🤣🤣🤣
Stephanie starrett lol
Holds 3 fingers up
Dr Halsted : how many fingers am I holding up
Homeless dude: 1
Dr Halsted : good job
I'm not being mean I feel so sorry for him
Same
I'm a simple person, I see Dr. Charles, I click 🤣
He seems like a really nice guy. We can't always will ourselves to be happy, but making an effort never hurts.
All we can do is make the best of our situation.
Dr halested kinda looks like prince harry
Nothing like him
Nothing like him
Yeah em no
No he doesn't lol he looks more like princess Diana than he does prince harry 😂😂😂 xxx
Lol
Dr Halstead: "Mental illness and homelessness often go hand in hand"
Dr Charles: "ThEn wHat HaPPenEd"
I feel so much for the man I don’t know why. I know it’s a character but there’s a part of me that wants to cry and hug him as if he were a grandparent because he looks so innocent
My first guess was dementia...he presents with all the same symptoms.
cezza180 how dementia when that is when you loose your memory he has a memory as my great nan has dementia she has all the symptoms but he has a few yh TOMS but it could be something else
@@willowwright6954 my grandmother had dementia. She forgets some things but can also remember some things but usually a bit mixed up. Like a new shopping mall that was made when I was in highschool, she once told me that she used to shop there with my grandfather when my mom was little. She was confusing that new shopping mall for an old mall from where they lived before. She also asked us one night where her mom, my great grandmother, would sleep. My great grandmother died when my mother was little. I can't really explain it well. But the man in this video really does act like my grandmother.
Willow Wright my grandad had dementia and he thought that his mom that had died 30 years was still alive. He thought he was living in the past
@@willowwright6954 excuse me but thats not true. dementia or alzheimer is when parts of your brain simply die. it affects memory, behavior, mood's.
Willow Wright Many people with dementia will ask for people who died decades ago. They'll be unable to make and keep new memories, and their mind becomes stuck back in time.
How can the doctors do all these tests for a homeless person without insurances??
it called
Saving life
Can you spell it
Doctor job is to
Save lives
Help people get better
@@tereasdownes9793 yes and the doctor is getting paid money doing that. Bu if the patient doesn't have money who is goin to pay the doctor ?
@@okandnowlol9947 The hospital pays them, they took an oath to do no harm, so I think that there might be laws that mandate helping homeless people or something like that.
@@theeKPOPlover that could be true.
He shot Dr. House then became homeless 😂😂😂
er alabastro lol
Not the same actor, the actor who played moriarty and shot house played Detective olvin on chicago PD for a few years.
This dude was the angry ass CEO of warner brothers on Entourage.
When I see this it moves me so much, he’s homeless and essentially blind yet he’s as happy as can be...... incredible...... it’s nice to see him happy though poor man... 15 years homeless... must have been hard... I like the things the doctor says at the end that he’s very happy and at peace with himself even though he’s homeless........ makes me think how very lucky I am to have all the things I have...... it also made me cry
We need more people like this in the world because he doesn't care if he's blind that's a perfect example of someone living life to the fullest.
Poor honey he seems like such a sweetheart
he so happy ;-;
I’m so sad I can’t watch full episodes 🙁i don’t live in America
Shanelle Flanagan fmovies
Shanelle Flanagan Sorry to read that. We have it in France on public channel (along with Chicago P.D. and Chicago Fire) 👍🤗
Neither. I live in the UK
I live in the UK and I think you can get it on Amazon but idk
If you live in the UK you can watch Chicago Med, PD and Fire on a sky box on Demand, Catch up and Sky Witness plus ABC
Ill page dr charles for a consult.
Dr charles : then what happened
Does he even work or is this just his excuse to get cool stories from people
aw. poor man. Such a sweet person.
The "homeless guy" plays the criminal lawyer in an episode of law and order SVU , I knew I recognised him😁
Ohhhh when he said “ legally blind.” Got me
The guy is so precious. He must be protected at all times
I worked in a homeless shelter for a year and aftet you get to know these people and they trust you they are so talkative and just happy they can tell their stories to someone (although they are offen very strange because they were drunk or on drugs or psychotic when it happened). This work is hard but it's so rewarding
It's funny how in most of these episodes the patients appear to have a much different and centralised problem apart from the one they've been diagnosed of
That guy was the best, he would make an amazing gpa or parent, bless ❤️
He’s so joyous bless him!
Awe the patient is such a nice guy
He made me cry it was such a sad story
Acting is soo natural in this show that it is hard to believe it is a show at all. All the actors/actresses are like they have been working in a hospital for years and we’re just watching their daily life.
Waiiittt! Mr McGregor! Has he killed peter rabbit yet😂
No only me😂
Jess Harvey lol. So relatable
Jess Harvey omg lol 😂🤣😂I remember that
oh god 🤣🤣
This man is so sweet
15 years of being homeless, but he still happy being that person ❤️
Oh this man is so precious
My God this patient is adorable. Good actor too
Can someone explain how this man can afford being treated to such an extent?
He’s so sweet xx
happiness is a state of mind one can be happy in any situation if you allow yourself to be one.
I love the way this guy talks
OK whoaaa enough with the his cute, would make a great grandpa, his happy, his heartwarming cause now I have stopped watching and busy going through ur sweet comments.. You making me cry maan😊😔
1:10 how exactly does he hear any with this man's husky breast voice there xD
And I was wondering too
You can’t, if the patient is talking that’s all you hear...
Bruh he does it wrong. He used to smaller cup..it's for kids or low frequency sound. Idk how he heard anything especially with that man talking.
Bless him
I can't be the only one who thinks the patient is the guy from of mice and men.
.
Llll
You mean John Malkovich ...
... and yes he does, somewhat ...
GOD BLESSS HIM 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
I lovd how dt charles and this guys seemlike old mates
he's 15 years back in time and happy, I can't blame that dude . 15 years back it was so fun, I'd sell my soul to go back to the 2k's
This series need to come to the uk
Like the attention to detail, Halstead using handwash after patient contact.
Dr Charles: I’ll buy you lunch
Dr Holstead : I’d rather you write me a check
Dr Charles : you’ll have to get in line
I hope they were able to get him the help he needs, such a sweet man
its a show hes an actor
I’m aware of this. I mean storyline wise
Paul Ben Victor (the homeless guy) is a wildly underrated actor.
is it just me or the screen was shaking starting from 4.41 ? 😂
snsd ismyqueen it's not the video it's your device that you have
It was the camera man
yeah, didn't notice it until you pointed it out
It wasn’t the screen
snsd ismyqueen it’s shaky
Just saying he seems like a really nice guy
I NEED CHICAGO MED ON NETFLIX
I dont think people realise how happy I am Chicago med fire and pd are all on sky witness (uk) And I'm so excited 😂😂
That man does be in movies
Nice guy horrible situation the fact that this is art imitating life is sad
wow good man
I had a tumour removed from the same place as this guy and had it removed just on the 17 April
"We get the patients we need" - as a psychiatrist I can affirm this!! Dr. Charles is the best
Assalamualaikum Dr Ayisha. I am from Pakistan. Your name reminded me of my favourite school teacher who was also our class in charge. Her name was also Ayisha Jamil. Coincidence but a beautiful coincidence. I still love her and respect her. She influenced me a lot.
Have you ever thought of making your own TH-cam channel
He reminds me of the guy from home alone
The only negative thing that I've seen Dr. Charles say is "Shut your mouth"
I'm partially sad they found a physical problem with the man.
I almost thought it was spiritual vision.
Spiritual vision?
So happy we get free health care in the UK
Anyone else feel like they can go work in a hospital being too doctor after watching this🤣
I know its all fake but he seems so kind and happy
He’s so cute!!!!
Oookay, I wasn't expecting this clip to hit so close to home lol as I have a prolactinoma...
He looks like that guy in that Deposition episode from Pam and Tommy !!
Dr. Halstead and patient talking baseball
April: *Dafuq dis?*
i like this guy
i can’t stop thinking about how he’s gonna pay for it...america...no NHS...
Awh🥺☁️
Damn japopos must’ve shutdown my man living rough after the clam incident
Dr Charles: In my experience, we get the patients that we need.
Me: Or the ones that are plot-convinient. That works, too. :)
Reading the title I thought it was a 15 years old homeless patient
I like that homeless guy
Even though he is an actor i feel sorry for him. Nice guy :(
Thé patient kinda looks like vin diesel lol 😂
Your diesel
Mental or not, he seemed like a genuine cool guy to hang out and have a few cold ones....
How does all the poor patients pay their bills and how do they end up in a good hospital like this
I recognize a lot of the actors on this show but I never remember what shows from.
I remember that patient from everybody hates chris, it was one of his teachers and I think he was also a coach
Dr Charles was in the film 2012, unfortunately he was being a male Karen.
Some hospitals in the US have a charity program set in place so people who don’t have insurance can receive medical care, it’s not unrealistic
2:45 I actually thought Dr. Charles said: “He also admitted that he menstruates sometimes.” I said, “Wait what-“ but he actually said, “He also admitted that he BINGE DRINKS.” that makes a lot more sense-
Mr. McGregor is too cute!
Sometimes angels are real :)
Jango Fett’s fallen on hard times since the clone wars
did anyone see the monitor at 0bpm but 100% O2 saturation 😂 let's just hope that patient isn't hooked up 😂 weird if there isn't a patient hooked to the monitor, it would say usually "NO LEADS"
This is a nice one youseyouly there dramatic this one is nice and carm
5:18 Well he might be able to see it if you actually turned the light on.
is it just me or does he have a charlie gordon vibe from flowers for algernon before the surgery
Yeah, but what about the hospital bills?
You had a patient you needed mentally and emotionally to realise that your money problems ain’t half of what’s he going through
Just curious since u have to pay for healthcare in USA (no money no treatment) how do they help a homeless guy. Like I’m privileged to live in a country where healthcare is not billed but I’m confused how it works over there?
