I didn't have any real friends when I was younger up until a few years ago & now I just see the blessing in spending so much of that time with God and building a relationship and growing as a person and now I'm learning to have godly friendships more and more and it's amazing:)

i am one of the people who struggles with friendship. A lot of friends that I knew in the past, they don’t talk to me anymore. the spark and connection were not there anymore. they also think i’ve changed. the truth is i’ve changed for the better and they took it as a negative thing. sometimes i get sad that i really dont have quality friendships but God is always reminding me that He is always there for me to have someone to talk to, to have someone to lean on. still thankful because he lead me to this path. praying that in the future, i find a quality friendship 🙏🏽

I was telling The Lord if I was wrong to put boundaries please tell me because people get mad when I say something about it or passively tell me that I am being arrogant or prideful or think to highly of myself to get some kind of respect, and here you post a video over what I was crying about! Putting boundaries and respecting others boundaries is the most beautiful way to say I love you.
I have a friendship that’s still standing. I was feeling lonely not having more friends but I’ve been hanging out with my husband’s family a lot this month and it’s helped
When chad says "this is gonna be one of those videos" and started going to the back hahahah I was just catching up with a friend yesterday and it was one of the few times she opened up about her struggles to me but I felt like I didn't have the right words and didn't know how to help, so thank you for the reminder that my job is not to save her from whatever she's going through but simply to encourage her to find God. Also your story in the description is great! I also talked with that friend about how when we lean on our own to achieve all those stuff it's often pride that takes over and so ironically we get overwhelmed or even feel like failing.

Yes, its inportant to put boundaries on friendship, it is important to know that youre building connections with the right people that doesnt hinder you to grow. Cutting ties with people is not a bad thing at all especially when toxicity is involved. Its putting yourself more value and respect if you cut them out. I agree with tori on you can love them but you cant be with them. People change, circumstance change. All we need to accept is some people arent there to last on our lives, some are there to teach you, some are there to let yourself teach them sonething, while others are there to last long on your destination. And thats fine to cut relationships when you know you and your friends are heading on different directions already (im talking of inreparable circunstance in here.) agree with chad's thought of building deeper relationships rather than superficial. Not everyone youre going to meet can be your friend, you have to find someone who can build deeper connections with you. Love the video, the pose you got there can pass as greeting card. Wauw what a timing. I just decided to distance myself from a friendgroup I was in for years. My past and my mistakes happened in that group and out of guilt and pleasing I could’t leave the group, but I also didn’t show up. It gave me so much clarity to leave the group and to move forward from my past mistakes even if that group doesn’t do anything wrong, it still happened years ago in that location with those people. So I decide to not put myself in those circumstances. Thanks for this video guys, it’s so accurate ❤️

Needed this video 💕 This time has been so redefining on friendships and made me reflect and think a lot about friendship and what it means to me. I love the part about doing thing from love and not for love. That Jesus's love enables us to love without seeking love from others in return. There were so many great things from this video and I'll definitely be meditating on what God spoke to me through you guys a lot! What you said in the caption is so good too...the more we feel overwhelmed and more we need to lean on the Lord and seek rest in Him because he invites us as we are, poor in spirit and weary and downcast. 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 is a verse I've been thinking about a lot during this time (and what a verse to be saved by!!) And it's something I think I'll continually have to pray that I'll grow in. So thankful for the ways that you guys speak and share such truth in such a loving way, and I just love and appreciate you both more and more every day! Sending much love your way 🥰

Not having solo intimate friendships with girls for the sake of my future wife, but also not staying around my friends who don’t uplift me in the Lord. I’m going through a lot and my family is going through a lot right now, every day has been tough and trying to feel excited for Christmas. Its hard to have friendtimency with new people you met when your trust has been previously broken. You know they are good people but it’s just hard to trust them completely especially with vulnerability.

I’m a senior and I’m nervous for college next year because I’m moving away from my family friends and I want to make new Godly friends and I just hope I’m able to find some...I’m playing basketball in college and I know they do some things that I don’t want to do but I’ll be spending a majority of my time with them and they’re my teammates and I don’t want to come across as judgmental or act like I’m better and I want to be loving but at the same time I don’t want to fall to peer pressure and I want to be strong in my faith. I know it’s going to be really hard and I’m just struggling with some fear and anxiety about everything...

If you get a chance read Boundaries by henry cloud and john townsend! It talks about what you are talking about! But in short I will say this... You can only give what you have. If people are asking for prayer but you are not prayed up, then how can you offer it? Who much is given much is required and if you are in a place where people depend on you then you really need to set up great boundaries to make sure you are protected and ready to give help! For example, if someone asks for food, then you need food to give them. It's the same with emotional support. If you are offering it, then you need to be receiving it

I had been wondering about friends who are hindering you in your relationship with God. I hadn’t hung out with them in months (not like I was avoiding them altogether) and was feeling kind of guilty honestly. But thank you for this! Wauw what a timing. I just decided to distance myself from a friendgroup I was in for years. My past and my mistakes happened in that group and out of guilt and pleasing I could’t leave the group, but I also didn’t show up. It gave me so much clarity to leave the group and to move forward from my past mistakes even if that group doesn’t do anything wrong, it still happened years ago in that location with those people. So I decide to not put myself in those circumstances. Thanks for this video guys, it’s so accurate ❤️

Needed this video 💕 This time has been so redefining on friendships and made me reflect and think a lot about friendship and what it means to me. I love the part about doing thing from love and not for love. That Jesus's love enables us to love without seeking love from others in return. There were so many great things from this video and I'll definitely be meditating on what God spoke to me through you guys a lot! What you said in the caption is so good too...the more we feel overwhelmed and more we need to lean on the Lord and seek rest in Him because he invites us as we are, poor in spirit and weary and downcast. 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 is a verse I've been thinking about a lot during this time (and what a verse to be saved by!!) And it's something I think I'll continually have to pray that I'll grow in. So thankful for the ways that you guys speak and share such truth in such a loving way, and I just love and appreciate you both more and more every day! Sending much love your way 🥰

I’m so glad you guys did a video on this! I totally forgot you were going to do one on friendships and this is something I’ve been working on in my life. Not having solo intimate friendships with girls for the sake of my future wife, but also not staying around my friends who don’t uplift me in the Lord. Been really trying to make friends and company that sharpen me and push me toward the truth of God’s word.😁👌🏻 amen!

I’m going through a lot and my family is going through a lot right now, every day has been tough and trying to feel excited for Christmas. Its hard to have friendtimency with new people you met when your trust has been previously broken. You know they are good people but it’s just hard to trust them completely especially with vulnerability.
Amen that is so hard... It really is a balancing act of getting to know people more slowly and surely and paying attention to their actions and what their actions say about how they feel about. you!

I’m a senior and I’m nervous for college next year because I’m moving away from my family friends and I want to make new Godly friends and I just hope I’m able to find some...I’m playing basketball in college and I know they do some things that I don’t want to do but I’ll be spending a majority of my time with them and they’re my teammates and I don’t want to come across as judgmental or act like I’m better and I want to be loving but at the same time I don’t want to fall to peer pressure and I want to be strong in my faith. I know it’s going to be really hard and I’m just struggling with some fear and anxiety about everything...

If you get a chance read Boundaries by henry cloud and john townsend! It talks about what you are talking about! But in short I will say this... You can only give what you have. If people are asking for prayer but you are not prayed up, then how can you offer it? Who much is given much is required and if you are in a place where people depend on you then you really need to set up great boundaries to make sure you are protected and ready to give help! For example, if someone asks for food, then you need food to give them. It's the same with emotional support. If you are offering it, then you need to be receiving it
