Regular for light DD afaik. Don't hammer on it while on wierd fuels, good rule for any engine. Regular is for destination only more commonly used on cars without nice turbo style features.
I think it might depend on where you are. In southwestern PA there are a lot of these around, especially the widebody model that came later. The area tends to be very Subaru heavy in general, though.
Im thinking of getting a 2018 wrx limited, but im scared of reliability and i like to beat on my cars but not alot and not to often, i was thinking of getting a stage 2 tune and a couple of bolt on's, i dont launch my cars but i do light pulls at times, but i will maintain it well. WILL MY CAR BE RELIABLE ???
gabmas69 the 2015+ wrx is a much more reliable car then the 2014 and below. The FA motor is almost bullet proof. The old EJ blocks did have more issues. However, on paper the power is pretty much the same, but the twin scroll turbo in the 15+ definitely doesn't hit quite as hard as the older wrx. I have a 16 and i recommend it, but I also recommend the EJ motors as well. With the work you'd like to do, I'd get a 2015+ model. It'd be more reliable, but at the same time... your reliability will go down if you mod it. Anything can break really. Just treat the vehicle right, and it'll treat you right as well.
gabmas69 you also need certain parts for the tunes. You can't just slap bigger tunes on a wrx and expect to have 0 issues. You can run a stage 1 tune on all stock parts, but that's the only tune.

@@Texas_Cruiser mine just had the cobb accessport and the intake, but I guess this is enough for stage 1 or 2 , I got an 04 wrx wagon recently for 6k, only 93k miles and probably running at stock for 15 years with the only one adult. just drive till I find any good new ones
can you please tell me why its a good idea to get a stage 1 tune with this? i just recently bought an unmodded well taken care of wrx and i want to know why its a good idea to put a stage 1 mod on.
In order to meet emissions requirements, the stock tune on the motor has a tendency to run lean. Going with stage 1 is just a re-tune of the ecu and the map will run a richer mixture. If your car has a warranty on it be wary of tuning it because it could potentially void your warranty. Go to NASIOC and use the search feature and people will likely have already answered a question that you have.

Main difference is full time symmetrical AWD over FWD. If you can afford it, go AWD, especially if you live in Northern US or Canada...
in case anyone sees this after 7 years, the speakers are not THAT BAD, they are alright. its the input from the stock radio/head unit that is bad. replace it with an aftermarket head unit and you will see a massive difference.
Do a video on what to look for when buying this car? I’m looking to get s white hatch 2012 with 55k miles looks all stock. I just need some pointers on these particular models
Do you still have the car? And if you do, how has it held up over the years?
So its a 2013 model but you got it in 2012 and off of a previous owner???
My 2008 wrx is getting the headgasket issue fixed. Any knowledge of how they perform or issues after this repair?
i bought a 2008 Subaru WRX with 100k miles ,what mods can I do ???
LCdaniel5 headgaskets 😂
Weren’t the 08-13 wrx/Sti more susceptible to ring land failures?
I just bought my first subaru its a 2009 wrx turbo and i love tbe car fun to drive and its a good looking car
2009 wrx in the house 115k and runs strong raceland coilovers and exhaust for sale 9k
Do you have it posted on Craigslist, where?
I just got my 2013 wrx stock
59k miles
I sorta want to get a nice wing and some canards amd rear defuser the reason why I am not getting it might have hater's at work area
Fuck the haters man, do what make you happy and if they give em too much hate show em what shes made of lmao.
Hey guys had a question...I want to get one as a work car an once in a while drive it around, but the one I’m looking at has 170k miles. You guys that own them what are your thoughts on getting a high mileage one like that, just one owner by the way and I believe stock? Would really appreciate some feedback. Thanks!!
Did you end up buying the car
Is it really necessary to use only premium gas? Can u use regular or super?
Regular for light DD afaik. Don't hammer on it while on wierd fuels, good rule for any engine. Regular is for destination only more commonly used on cars without nice turbo style features.
Paul “something to keep in mind” Lear
2011 stage 2 wrx with 180kms going hard still
considering buying a 2011 wrx with 110k miles owner wants 9k for it but idk i’m kinda on edge
That's a good deal
@@thomasferguson1276 it was i’ve loved the car ever since
@@dustinperalta1619 how many miles now?
2013 70k miles with access port everything else stock stock go or no go?
Why are there so little of these and the narrowbodys floating around? Were they that bad?
You can run a stage 1 tune on all stock parts, but that's the only tune.
in need of your wheel/tire specs? looks very nice
I have a 2012 stage 2 coming up on 70k miles no issues yet
What maintenance u do to keep it well going or for daily use
How's the maintenance for this car?
Who’s going to buy a car like this and not going to drive it hard at least once in a while
Video was very helpful
Anything I should keep in mind?
What engine is in these, I can’t seem to find the answer on the internet, I’m seeing both 2.5l and 2.0l for the base wrx, which is correct?
2.5 l turbo. 2.0 was not in the US this gen
Thanks for the information!
I have the same cae. I ❤ it. WRX 2011
My WRX 2008 IS CLUTCH GONE. so i wold pay like over $ 1.000 for
Wasted 11 mins you never even started it also a lot your saying is false lol just sold my 2010 163k miles stock motor stock clutch driven hard and boosted all the time still ran like the day I bought it new. It had slight mods cool air borla exhaust. Was a fast car and driven hard never left me stranded it's called maintenance.
Please explane the dif from stock tune and stage 1 tune
My guess is stock is stage 1 because unless it's a camless power tune and stage 2 is post cam install.
Well it’s a rally car so
Stock wrx with gravel suspension. All you need.
2013 - 55000 miles ,, runs like a dream
bought one last saturday with an 2014 hatch in 57800 miles...found the cobb thing on the intake and the small phone... Now I really have no idea if it has reset to stock or running on stage 1, I don't know much about mods and would rather to drive at 265hp stock after I know it can blow up..
@@rayjin1952 did you find out?
@@Texas_Cruiser I sold it back...it's a modded one for sure but probably stage 1 is np for it, but it's also doing 15 mpg all the time and intercooler should be updated I feels like, no way
@@rayjin1952 damn. I am always looking at cars online and I've noticed 80% of dealers don't have mod info from previous owners. And I don't blame the m for it if they don't really deal much with Subarus. Those that do on the other hand should know by now these cars are commonly modded and try to get as much info as possible. I usually see an intake exhaust or both but nothing indicating if it was tuned or not. Some have the accessport.
Should i get a wrx or ralliart
It gets the job done
So i’m 16 and earn 9$ an hour. Do you think I would be able to afford payments on a 2013 Wrx?
lol
No between the payment and car insurance. It'd be tight. Leave you with little to no money
where the hell were you working bro
What did you tint headlights with is it legal?
they are actually not tinted. the inner housings are painted.
How do you get 23mpg!!!!
How many miles on a full tank?
I get about 400 miles per tank.
is it good for a first car?
Definitely not, you should look for something more cheap especially if you’ve never driven manual before
@@pedrozarate Not even a 2003 WRX?
how's the car holding up man?
great. going to make a 5 year ownership update video soon.
Paul Lear you still got this car?
Go ahead. Wouldn't personally.
Change oil ... When you have to... That s all
Is this an impreza????
Yes
If the car you bought requires heavy modifications it only means the car isn't suitable for you. Get a better one.
Genesis 5.0 is such a better car for the same price.
its a hyundai
thank you very much.
can you please tell me why its a good idea to get a stage 1 tune with this? i just recently bought an unmodded well taken care of wrx and i want to know why its a good idea to put a stage 1 mod on.
In order to meet emissions requirements, the stock tune on the motor has a tendency to run lean. Going with stage 1 is just a re-tune of the ecu and the map will run a richer mixture. If your car has a warranty on it be wary of tuning it because it could potentially void your warranty. Go to NASIOC and use the search feature and people will likely have already answered a question that you have.
i got a 16
how much does it cost per month with insurance
well, i'm 19 and i got a wrx 2k10, cost me 1500/year
why is youre insurance so cheap
im 19 and bought an 09 impreza and mine was 2900 a year was supposed to be 4500
i dont know man, i'm from canada? i had a bmw 328i,i have a video on my channel and i was paying 2000/year,
im in canada too, are you paying collision?
yes
Get a blast plate
Thanks
09 is the best.
09s actually had alot of defects like rod bearings. The first half of 09s had that problem. 2010+ is what you want.
@@laosracer12 What about a stock 2003 WRX?
@@theundisputed3671 2.0 bug eye. Similar problems like headgaskets. But every car will need maintenance anyways. All preference.

You are out to lunch!
They are reliable if you drive it like a grandma. So really, they aren't reliable at if you drive it the way they are suppose to. Get ready to replace the head gasket and transmission or blow a rod bearing.
@@Σατανας666 I had an sti.
@LeeRock 27 mine was an 07 limited sti with the black leathers. I would if blew it many times over the way i drive my mazda.
Nahhhh. You can have fun with them. You can’t beat on it though. No racing. Not a race car. They are super reliable if well cared for. Which you should well care for any car you own. So. ...
@@joshuathomas4934 in other words, pointless if you can't beat on it. Might as well drive a geo metro.

Are we going to ignore the fact that he said it is a 2013 but he bought it in 2012
I ordered my 2013 WRX in Nov. 2012 and didn't receive it until February 2013. It's also pretty common to buy 1 year newer model cars toward the end of the year.
