IS A 10 YEAR OLD GTI RELIABLE?
I talk with Ian about his 2008 VW GTI mkv. It his fairly clean for its age and has held up fairly well but he has poured loads of money into the car so he's not too happy about that.

5 Reasons Not to Get a WRX, Things That Will Annoy You (6 Year Owner's Perspective)

After having my 2013 Subaru WRX for almost 6 years, I decided to make this video to go over the things that I hate about the car. These points are specifically for the 2009-2014 WRX models. Like and subscribe for more WRX content! Instagram: pauller
2013 Subaru WRX - 6 Year Update! (Reliability, Maintenance, Cost of Ownership, etc)
มุมมอง 65K6 ปีที่แล้ว
I can't believe it's been about 6 years since I got my WRX! Time flew by. Looking back at all my service records it's shocking how cheap and reliable this thing has been. Just basic maintenance and a couple recalls that got fixed. Car was stage 2 for a couple years when I first got it. I used to run an Invidia Q300 with a catless downpipe. It was even straightpiped at once. Also ran DGR coilove...
Should You Buy a Subaru WRX? (09-14 WRX Overview)
มุมมอง 243K8 ปีที่แล้ว
IG @pauller I'll go over various things about the WRX, 09-14 models specifically. These cars are reliable if they're well taken care of and not driven too hard. Transmission is fairly weak and can't handle much past stage 2. Head gaskets are weak also. I recommend just keeping the car at a stage 1 tune. I don't advise staying on the stock tune though because it's pretty bad. Let me know if you ...

Sounds a lot better I think with mufflers instead of the Nameless. I like the stealth factor with this setup too. Only running the downpipe.
Nameless Axleback + Catless Downpipe (2013 WRX)
มุมมอง 15K11 ปีที่แล้ว
Nameless Axleback Muffler Delete (3in Dual Wall Staggered Tips), Tomei 3in Catless Downpipe, Stock Midpipe, Stage 2 Tune. So this setup is temporary. It's definitely too loud for me. But it's not as tinny and loud as it is in the video. I have an in-cabin video too. Thanks!

My axleback muffler delete from Nameless Performance on my SWP 2013 Subaru Impreza WRX sedan. 3'' quad staggered tips dual wall. It sounds even better in person. I also have a video of the stock exhaust.
I have this I’ve had it for 6 months
2011 wrx manual here with original motor and have yet to have any problems, 220tho miles and still kicking like a mule
How's the maintenance for this car?
Just got the rom of this. Can’t wait to play!
Shoulda got the hatch
Sedans look cooler imo sharper looking hatch reminds me of a mini van
is this a good starting bike? 😅
Haha I have no idea I’m picking one up in Austin in a week as my first bike so I guess we’ll find out
❤
❤
In boxing so slow no hate it’s cool tho
Let this man enjoy his clean Nintendo switch also no views if video 10 seconds
Where did you get it from?
Bone stock 2013 wrx. Purchased at 26kms By far the worst car ive ever owned. 11k dollars in 80,000 kms... didnt thrash mine. Happy i sold it.
Go ahead. Wouldn't personally.
I have the same cae. I ❤ it. WRX 2011
The main problem with these cars in the driver. But they do have some issues. The biggest one being the stock tune and a heavy foot.
Do you still have the car? And if you do, how has it held up over the years?
All you people commenting about "stage 1, stage 2" are killing me. Define these. You can't. How much HP does it add? How much torque? Just like most "tuner" stuff these days, you all are talking out of your asses. "Stage 3 clutch". Give me a break.
in case anyone sees this after 7 years, the speakers are not THAT BAD, they are alright. its the input from the stock radio/head unit that is bad. replace it with an aftermarket head unit and you will see a massive difference.
i'm looking at axleback or maybe even a cat back for my 2013 wrx i picked up in January. every subaru, even my buddies badass sounding catless and custom straight pipe EJ20 swapped forester, sounds way better in person.
I just bought a 2010 . 161,000 mi. New timing chain new engine mount 5000 mi on the clutch and The transmission. Only modification the car ever had Cobb air intake .
The only issue I had was it rattles the worst of any car In this world, throw away the stereo cos u never gonna enjoy music again
Did you ever got the check engine light on- cruise control light blinking and the traction control lights on at the same time and your engine shut off while driving?! HELP! Also a rough start
Stock wrx with gravel suspension. All you need.
If you're going to own a wrx or sti, keep a savings account with 10 grand at all times.
Updates?
I sold it in December 2018 :( but I've had a lot of cool stuff since then which I haven't made any videos about. 2020 M340i, 2021 Camaro LT1, 2022 RS6 Avant
Well done. Covered all necessary aspects. :) Keep up man.

I was actually looking at one of these and was looking for reviews of them so this was really helpful thank you :)
Have a test drive of the 2003 model, can check it in the evening. Drop by buddy. :)
This was filmed on my birthday 3 years ago
Daaaamn, looks sharp. Have you driven a 2015+? Wondering how it compares…
2013 70k miles with access port everything else stock stock go or no go?
$2,500 clutch? Try $600 including labor. $600 thermostat? They're $100. $400 door panels? All you needed was new mounting hardware. $100's for a tune up? I've never seen anybody swindled this hard. Buy a Corolla & stay away from dealerships.
I wish they still sold these! I wasn't financially ready at the time but now, would TOTALLY go for a '12-'14 WRX new. The '15+ is a fast-ish Corolla by comparison. So boring to drive and to hear! Even bone stock, the car in this video is fun as hell to drive in any situation, even calmly and casually.
I’ve just started looking for one and hoping I can find one in good condition with decent mileage
considering buying a 2011 wrx with 110k miles owner wants 9k for it but idk i’m kinda on edge
That's a good deal
@@thomasferguson1276 it was i’ve loved the car ever since
@@dustinperalta1619 how many miles now?
I just bought a modded wrx today don't know shit about them. Honestly I was so excited I didn't care its my first newer car buy but now I'm worried I fucked up lol. I don't know what to look for or whats been done I was told it has a aftermarket blow off valve and it sounds sick and its been lowered a little looks good
any update on how its holding up??
Check my test drive of the 2003 WRX in the evening. :) Sounding like an airplane.
" i wanna stay alieve, at least for right now" lmaoo
Gotta replace or remove that factory PPF on the rear doors
Quick question. With this setup did you have to get an adapter to mount it to midpipe? Or it directly bolted on?
Hey guys had a question...I want to get one as a work car an once in a while drive it around, but the one I’m looking at has 170k miles. You guys that own them what are your thoughts on getting a high mileage one like that, just one owner by the way and I believe stock? Would really appreciate some feedback. Thanks!!
Did you end up buying the car
You have one fire ass car
What engine is in these, I can’t seem to find the answer on the internet, I’m seeing both 2.5l and 2.0l for the base wrx, which is correct?
2.5 l turbo. 2.0 was not in the US this gen
In all due respect , you buy a car for $5,000 with 140,000 miles on it ,what did you expect. This isn't a Volkswagen issue ,its "should I buy a car with a little less mileage on it and pay more or roll the dice and take my chance and gamble that nothing major will go wrong with a high mileage car" News flash ,clutches usually start to go once you hit six figures in mileage
In today's society thats low miles. It probably needed a new clutch because it was or has been abused.
i got a 16
Should i get a wrx or ralliart
You can tell going back to stock is a good decision.
Sounds like kids complaining about normal maintenance to me... 🤷♂️
Well no shit bro you only driven that shit for 47k miles kind of hard to see what problems pop up at those miles
80k miles preparing for the major maintenance (timing belt, water pump, valve buckets backlash maybe head gasket with arp studs to be more on the safe side) at 90k to 100k stage 1 never had issues. Looking to completly build a new shortblock as a project for when this one says good bye. I love it!
That engine has alooooot of noise on the inside of it. You should get it checked/serviced. Full service is around 23,000 miles for the r6. I have one too and my engine sounds nothing like that. They are quiet. Like so quiet you wouldn't even know it's running if they had a quieter muffler. When my oil got thinned out pretty good (cheap oil is no good for these either, not at all) I noticed my engine got louder. Changed oil, engine got quiet again. Running less than 93 octane gasoline also gives it a spark tic. It's weird, but true. I noticed the first time I ran regular gas. I love these bikes. She'll tell you when somethings wrong with her but it's hard to know it if you didn't know how the bike is supposed to sound and feel b4 anything has ever happened to it. I got lucky with mine. Never dropped, until I got it lol and barely ever driven. 16k Mike's when I got it, 3rd owner. 2nd owner never drove it. First owner kept it clean, garage kept, frequent service. Bike never saw over 100mph until the day I bought it.
I really appreciate the detailed comment brother but this video is 6 years old

I have invidia r400 plus ➕ invidia catted downpipe but I can't find the nice sound i don't know why
I plan on getting a WRX of this generation once I make enough money to buy one. These cars look so good it's hard to resist
