With a few very small expenditures and a few hours under the hood with a computer that 300 quickly goes upwards towards 400. Best part is the boxer, blurb, blurb, blurb on the start:)
A true enthusiast with incredible in-depth knowledge of cars and engineering. I'm an Evo guy but you made me love the STi, if only for a moment.Well deserved purchase!
Haha. I never took the arrogant approach when posting that comment, friend. You also had no reason to post that kind of reply unless you were just trying to get a rise out of me, in which you failed!
Although I'll admit that the '15 model steps it up in nearly every department, I don't feel bad for this fella for buying a '14 model. This generation STi is still absolutely wonderful, and I totally understand how the hatchback is a deal breaker to some. And all this is coming from an Evo fanatic.
I'm a first year student doing civil engineering but my love for cars is huge just like yours, all the intricate parts and functions are exciting. I cant wait to get myself a car like that once im done!
I too hate all the plastic manufactures are putting in the engine bay to make the engine look presentable. Most people that know nothing of cars don't care what's under the hood and people that love cars hate seeing and that plastic. Very happy for you man, you definitely earned it. You're such a great role model for me. I hope one day when I graduate as an electrical engineer is I'll be able to upgrade from my 93 Honda Civic 244Ks and counting!
If I had a McLaren 650s (favorite company), R8 V10 (my dream car), or something like that I would appreciate some carbon fiber engine covers. And I love cars and know them well.
The genuine smile and joy your new car brings you is awesome. Congrats on the new ride. I'm a bimmer guy but I've always thought deep down that Subaru's are pretty awesome.
I couldn't agree with this any more. and I myself am a Honda guy with a 13 Si and it was my dream car for quite some time I finally got it and I do still love it but I feel a bit cheated when I look at all of the other companies coming out with such great cars and Honda is just doing the same old same old. but I myself do love me some Subie and EVO action I just can't afford them at the moment lol but I won't hate on my Si it s okay for what it is though I do feel it is missing a lot I think Honda needs to get with the times and boost the Si or bring the 15 Type-R stateside because they have absolutely no competition with these wonderful vehicles and as Brandon said, it is always amazing to see something so genuine on a video like this. you have definitely earned this car keep up the good work sir I hope to see many more vids from you ^_^
I went with the 2014 model instead of a new one myself, because let’s be honest; the current model isn’t exactly going to Impreza anyone. That and I love the hood scoop and hatchback. Practical yet cool.
Watching this brings me back to when I bought my 2011 STI. It was such a blast driving a car like this, and it still is to this day. Whenever I'm brored, I just through it into sport+ and done.
+WithTheBears be smart tho man i wanted to get someone the day i got my job but i waited like 2 years to save and pay loans and what not. now i have a 16 wrx :)
+WithTheBears You can have a metric shit ton of fun in a $1000 beater. New cars are great but I suffer from paintwork paranoia and parking lot anxiety, there is something very special about owning a car from new though.
I can tell you're trying to give a thorough and objective analysis, but your tone and facial expressions have that inner happiness and excitement that cant be contained! Its awesome to see how much you enjoy your new car :)

The best part of this video is your smiling face when u r driving your baby, just feel the joy you have. Every time I drive mine, I smile too though it is not a Subaru but an Alfa. Congratulations to you!
You lit up while you were flooring it onto the highway. I actually smiled watching you have so much excitement from your new STI. Congratulations, and I'll be looking forward to videos on that awesome STI. :)
Engineering Explained i was smiling too, haha.. a bit jealousy added. but i was sad to see u have to pull off the throttle at 70mph. that sucks so bad. then my mind started racing: maybe he isn't speeding coz this is a video and maybe cops r watching too? and sillier thoughts. haha. i remember driving my uncle's corvette in orlando and having to pull off the gas at 70-80. mannnnn that was tough! ...there was this really long bridge as u left orlando to miami i think, and i'd wait for it coz cops couldn't hide on it ;-) i did 140 once (hehehe). thank you for the superb video. loved every bit of the tour.
By far my favourite channel. I can see why people go on about Subarus...the look on your face when you accelerate onto the highway is motivating me in life. I want that feeling too. That car is blessed to have a great owner!
I am in automotive sales and the “smile factor” is 100% what I look for. It helps me come to work every day. That is why I love helping find people their new car/dream/toy. The look when you got on the highway was exactly what should happen! :) this is an old video and the car is gone. Enjoy the drive and focus less on the expense/risks. Cars are one of the best escapes anyone can have from their day to day.
Ahh, seriously was having a heart attack trying to find one. I wasn't joking when I said it was one of the last ones. I only found two west of the Mississippi, and bought one of them. :)
I think this is the best hatchback for a very, very reasonable amount of money, car to buy, it is fantastic, although I haven't driven it, and don't have a license, but I'm an insane car fanatic, and this car is amazing, for either cruising around, or making noise in a traffic jam, in a one way street, it is amazing, I support your decision all the way. Note: I wrote this before even hitting play, I hit pause, before watching a full second of the video, just a notice.
Damn it... You have the car I want!!!!! After I graduate, I hope I can find one just like yours.... I have been in love with the STI forever.... Just have to love it!!! Thanks for the video
Having a fast car is fun, eh? I've had several quick cars in my life, starting out with a big-block Trans Am from the 1970s, which I thought was fast, until I got my '91 Pontiac Trans Am, GTA, which I thought was fast until I upgraded to the '94 Trans Am GT with the LS1. I thought those were fast until I got my '05 GTO and started adding mods onto it. I still get that goofy smile on my face when I push the accelerator to the floor. There's something really FUN about being thrown back in your seat, smoke coming off your rear tires and the roar of a big V8 engine. I've never driven one of the small-engine turbocharged cars, but I've heard they're pretty nimble. One of the main problems with the GTO is that it's useless in the snow and practically useless in the rain too. That's where an AWD system would be mighty nice. I've considered trading it off on a WRX or Evo, but then I hear that rumbling engine and think of never being able to do another monster burn-out and I talk myself out of it. The GTO certainly isn't very practical though. Gas mileage is not very good, can basically only be driven on dry pavement and there's really not a whole lot of room. The handling leaves a bit to be desired too, even though I've done suspension upgrades. But it's my opinion that the 2004-2006 GTO was one of the best value-for-money cars that has ever existed and they're just ridiculously fun to drive. When it's time for my next car (which hopefully will be a long time from now), I'll likely go with something AWD, smaller engine with a turbo, just because they would fit my lifestyle a bit better. It would be nice to be able to GO somewhere when it's snowing outside instead of being stuck at home or having to drive an alternate vehicle. Anyway, thanks for the review, it was entertaining. Have fun with your new car. :)
Yeah, love the smile! My friend has one and it's the same every time he thinks of his car which is quite often. His girlfriend is quite jealous - doesn't bring a smile like that - and the Subaru gets more gifts - upgrades that aren't individually expensive but add up. That's an addiction to watch out for.
Engineering Explained congrats mate. I have been watching your videos for a while now and love them all. I lear something every time. You picked up a gem there. Awesome review but I am not surprised that you knocked this one out of the park. Enjoy and give us some regular updates ok? Cheers!
I started out with an 02 WRX in Denver, I upgraded to the 07 STi and simultaneously owned both the 07 STI and a 05 Evo then the 06 Evo MR... Now I own a Viper, But the STi was still the best car I ever owned. Congrats.
Well, in my Spanish speaking country we call it impresa because the Z we pronounce it like an S sometimes, but anyways you should hear a Japanese person say it to see how it's pronounced on his country of origin. (yes I know I'm late)
Congrats man, it's awesome when someone gets their dream car, makes my week every time, just knowing they're (you in this case) sitting in their house looking for every excuse to go for a drive.
I plan on getting one of these in about a year, they are just incredible vehicles. I've drivin a few STIs when I was a Valet attendant and they are really amazing. I can't wait.
I am so happy to see you get a car like this! Almost as much as if I got it. You put a lot of work into educating people about automotive engineering and you deserve it more then anyone else. Congrats! Do you have plans to make any changes to this car, or just leaving it stock for the start?
I genuinely feel happy for you, congratulations!! You've been extremely helpful with your videos and you should be proud of this. I dont know why but I've always thought an impreza would suit you perfectly (brilliant performance, reasonble price). Is there a particular reason that you avoided the new model though? Have a blast with your new ride and keep up the great work!
Ha, I was about to ask the same question. My bad habit of reading TH-cam comments paid off this morning. The brand new 2.0L engine and the structural rigidly bump is nice but the R&D took an odd stance on the suspension setup. The '15 WRX has some new parts that the STi should have. I might be for getting one or two more points but I believe many future Impreza buyers will be very confused. Oh ya, I did forget something I believe the '15 STi still has the old 2.5 engine!?
I am studying to be a mechanical engineer right now and I have loved this car since high school. Its my dream car seems like its yours too. Really happy to see a well put together video on this car!
Engineering Explained Ha im always studying! you know the drill. What do you plan to do with the car if anything? Or are you going to keep in mainly stock?
I will never forget my buddy's '07 Sti on some crazy back roads...one of the funnest experiences of my life. About a year ago I was ready for a new car within the $20-30k range and was really leaning towards an Sti but ended up finding an '03 Audi RS6 for $21k. AWD 450hp twin turbo 4.2L V8...even with that under the hood I'm confident most Sti's would easily keep up with it for the most part. And a warning to anyone who comes across an RS6 like I did - maintenance is very, very costly. No comparison to the Sti.
That's cool that it can change the angle of the headlights via a simple knob. When cars have too much weight in the back, their headlights shine up in the trees; and other cars don't even notice them, because there's no light outline on the ground in front of them.
this is my dream car. but ill be getting the '08 subaru impreza hatch. i saw these hatch like once or twice a month here in the philippines. they're like unicorns
The "stupid" smile says it all (I had the same smile when I bought my last ride and it is very slow in comparison), anyway I call it stupid because it is one we can't hide. Enjoy it a lot man and congratulations for your enthusiasm feeding us with some really accurate car knowledge.
really happy for you its a great car. Cant wait to see you modding it, front mount the intercooler first? ipad in the dash? the mods are endless if you search ebay japan they cost next to nothing.
I knew you were smart before, but this just confirms it even more! I got a 2012 WRX almost exactly 2 years ago, 30k later and I'm extremely happy with it. I'm looking into an exhaust which led me to this video. Hope you enjoy it buddy, especially the handling.
Haven't looked at exhausts in a while, but I do remember seeing a titanium one that removed about 30 lbs which I thought was pretty sweet. Tomei I believe? Like I said it's been a while haha.
Engineering Explained In my quest for an exhaust I did not factor in weight AT ALL! I agree, every lb counts. Thanks for the tip. I just checked out Tomei, seems to be in the price range of the SPT exhaust, around a thousand, so it's going on my list. Some awesome feedback when engine breaking. but my biggest concern is the droning sound. I want to be badass and all, but I'd still like to enjoy a long drive. Like the tires I just purchased, this is gonna take a while.
I loved seeing the smile on your face! I actually work at Subaru and own an STI myself. I got the 2014 Sedan version STI and have an 04 Forester XT. The STI always makes me smile. I'm up here in Ontario, Canada and everytime you pass someone in an STI everyone always waves. It's funny how it's just a culture thing almost. Enjoy it!!! 😁😁😁👍👍👍
I know the feeling you speak of. Ill never forget boosting my brand new 2012 sit hatch out of sydney. I couldn't stop laughing at how quick it accelerated in traffic. Ive since been suspended off the road for 6 months and thought about selling it. Got my licence back this week and just went for a cruise in it. Ive decided never to sell it! They're an amazing vehicle.
Thats an awesome sti man! Congrats! Wish someday i could get one, i got a 2.0 2009 impreza and love it just the way you love your sti, nice channel, just subscribed.
Great to see someone who knows so much about engineering principles joining the Scooby family! If anyone is buying a second hand STi in the USA in a few years I think this is the man to buy it off - i'd imagine it would be kept in 100% working order! Talking about fuel costs - you in USA pay about €0.50 per litre for unleaded. Over here we pay currently (it just went down slightly) €1.30 per litre. Now imagine driving a 400bhp tuned/modified STi over here that does an average of 23MPG at that price per litre....not cheap!
I too have been obsessed with the Impreza WRX STI since I first laid eyes on it! Im young and still have my first car (2001 BMW 325i 5speed) and it's fun but what you have is exactly what I will have later in my life. I love your videos and admire your expertise of vehicles! I've learned a lot from you
SubliminalXtaC Thanks! I drive a 1999 Acura Integra as well. Had my eyes on the STI hatch for years before finally saving enough. It's an awesome machine.
CONGRATULATIONS MAAAAAN!!! I was like "When the hell is he gonna stomp on the gas pedal and get some real power out of her?" I really love Subaru's and am so happy for you man... That smile on your face whenever whenever you hit the gas pedal is just priceless. Enjoy it, have a blast and please keep it safe... much love and respect man!
This is the happiest I've ever seen you since I subscribed over a year ago. I'm so glad you got that Subbie as I'm obsessed with it too. Guess I enjoy it vicariously through you. Wish you the best and please please don't stance it.
Engineering Explained Thank goodness, these cars aren't meant to drag along the ground. Keep it clean mate. P.s. I'm an engineering student who can't wait to graduate and get one of these cars ;)
Awesome Subaru man! Fellow Subaru driver here; I love what mine can honestly do. It's not the performance line, but it's their flag ship line, the Legacy. It's also the wagon version. I absolutely love my car. Keep up the great work and here's to many years of Boxer driving!
***** No argument. I was merely praising Engineering Explained for his decision to buy a vehicle with a manual. I was not implying that any specific model came without a MT.
ReviewAssUSA Besides the fact they can shift faster than a manual, and the newer ones are also far more efficient providing less loss to the wheels. There is many reasons they need to exist.
Yeah your a bad troll. Gas mileage on most newer autos is far superior because they have more gears, and a much taller over drive. You can shift to control most newer autos because they moved from torque converters to a clutch system that allows you precise control of shifting and less loss. It is shifted via paddle, it shifts faster, and matches rpm perfectly, every time. Most automatic transmissions are also capable of handling huge horsepower. Much more capable than manual. If you had any ability to read you would have read my original comment in this thread and know I've been driving one exclusively for some time, and on and off for my entire life. Some more fun facts you seem to ignore. Powerglides are huge on drag strips, where power to the wheels, low shift time, and weight are killers. Those are automatics. So again, please tell me they have no place. Are you done trolling out your ass yet?
User Name You wrote: "Your not even a good troll." You then followed up by writing: "Yeah your a bad troll." I was going to let both pass, but then you just had to go write: "If you had any ability to read... " You know, people in glass houses really shouldn't throw rocks. It's "you're" not "your".
I love you videos because I've learned so much. But the fact that you used to have an Integra makes me respect you so much man. I loved mine when I had it. They're awesome
Engineering Explained My car is an Evo X MR, my factory warranty is over it was 3 years, I am the second owner, but as I learned my factory tune is crap, AFR is like 9 at wot, upper intercooler pipe is soft, exhaust too restrictive, a moderate bolt on with a good dyno tune doesn`t hurt. I plan a uicp, turbo inlet with drop in, new larger intercooler, full turbo back with a 200 cell hf cat, and I am taking my car to a protune, after these I will be playing in a diffrent league.
Engineering Explained I am extremely against any major upgrades. Most people spend $1000s even tens of $1000 for upgrades which makes the car hideous and unreliable while they can simply spend that money to buy a better car. Small cosmetic upgrades are Ok but nothing major I would ever do.
Alex Kolver You seem like you don`t understand and confuse ricer upgrades to real benefic upgrades with better quality and more durable parts. Just check out the video of Ryan Gates 311 RS, that shows how you can build not just a faster, but a better evo. You can tune your car to be more reliable than stock, don`t think stock cars are like the holy book, they brake, all cars have weak points right out the box, like the fuel pump relay issue with evos, if you don`t swap, you end up with a melted piston, besides STI and EVO are already on the edge, you don`t need to spend a lot, just correct the part where the manufacturer focused on emmission and make it performance oriented.
Fun fact; the ability to change the level of the headlights is not to adjust for a bunch of crap in the back. The STi is originally a rally car. Rallying involves a lot of racing through tight wooded areas where you can't see far front of the car. So the headlight lowering feature was added to bring the headlights down when you're in these tight areas giving you better visibility of what's directly in front of you instead of what's much farther ahead.
Finally a normal person giving an honest review of a fast car. 300HP is pretty fast for 95% of the population...
Haha thanks! It's quite the jump from my Integra, so for me it seems ridiculous. :)
With a few very small expenditures and a few hours under the hood with a computer that 300 quickly goes upwards towards 400.
Best part is the boxer, blurb, blurb, blurb on the start:)
There's no doubt that everyone who watched this had a smile on their face when they saw your smile when merging.

Towards The Sunset I always loved the EVO growing up, but when it came time to spend my own dollars, I really wanted a hatchback. :)
I'll tell you one thing -- you definitely chose the right car. :)
Yeah you should get one too lol
Not really sure if you're joking, MrGorpstine. That's kind of what my TH-cam channel is known for...
***** bawahah evan i didnt expect to see you here =)
***** Because everyone should know all about you. You're such a famous youtuber..
Haha. I never took the arrogant approach when posting that comment, friend. You also had no reason to post that kind of reply unless you were just trying to get a rise out of me, in which you failed!

I hope so man!
yeah man, I know your pain. But it really is worth it when you get your degree.
8 years later will he reply?
what's the current whip?
I wanna know too!
I can't think of another person that deserves this car more than you do, Jason. I'm truly happy for you and wish you all the best!
Thanks!!
One thing that will always remain consistent with these cars is that grin that it puts on peoples faces as the turbo kicks in!
Ahh I love it!

Apparentmusic same, I have a RS version but I still love it.
The last of the Subaru hatchbacks truly a collector's item. Love the counting of all the STI badging!
You are one of the nicest people on TH-cam, and im extremely happy that you got a new car. BTW your face when you entered the highway was EPIC!
I just bought a used '08 STi ,love mine too. It always puts a smile on my face. Enjoy!
congratulations, the right choice and the right color !

that smile when you gun it, is the same i feel when i gun my ms3

Thumbs up for that

Awesome! Always thought it was crazy they packed such a large engine in such a small car, I imagine it's a blast. Thanks for checking out the video!
If only more car enthusiasts were like you.
You could have the best of both worlds with the Dodge Charger R/T AWD
As a fellow petrol head, it is a truly wonderful to see genuine joy that your new car has brought you. Congratulations!
You definitely deserve this man! I'm happy for you!
Congrats.
Sounds like a lot of fun cars!
Engineering Explained More it was a LOT of working sometimes 2+ jobs. But definitely fun.
You know if you can't help laughing whenever you get on throttle you bought the right car. Congratz man! You really needed a new car lol.
Thanks, it's a blast!
I’m so excited, buying a 2014 Sti tomorrow this video is helping a lot to prepare me thanks!
Engineering Explained - "imprayza"
Jeremy Clarkson - "impretza"
me - "imprezuh"
which one is it!!?
I think we've just learned that dialects exist. Sometimes there's not just one answer. :)
Underdose impressed-yah 😂
I say Impretza
Imprezuh is how I and everyone I've met says it
Well, in my Spanish speaking country we call it impresa because the Z we pronounce it like an S sometimes, but anyways you should hear a Japanese person say it to see how it's pronounced on his country of origin.
(yes I know I'm late)
The smile on your face when you put your foot down is the exact reason I want one of these in the future.
excellent choice, would've been my first choice for everyday car
Congrats man, it's awesome when someone gets their dream car, makes my week every time, just knowing they're (you in this case) sitting in their house looking for every excuse to go for a drive.
Man, I kinda wish you would buy more cars, because you're a great reviewer.
Haha, I won't be buying another for a long time. :)
Engineering Explained do you still have the integra on the side?
IntegraFilms
Indeed I do. Going to start modifying it now. There's a long list of things that need to be done with it.
I plan on getting one of these in about a year, they are just incredible vehicles. I've drivin a few STIs when I was a Valet attendant and they are really amazing. I can't wait.
Makes me so happy seeing the joy in his face when he speeds up hahaha
The smile you have while stepping on the throttle pedal says everything. Enjoy it!
You were very thorough with everything and I was laughing with ya on that first highway pull! haha AWESOME car and Video!! :-)
Thanks!
Engineering Explained Congrats man, enjoy your STI!!!
Welcome to the STI club. I have a 2012 STI with a stage one tune as well as a cold air intake both from Perrin. This car is a rocket when in S# mode.
So much fun! I'm going to hold off on the tune, for now. :)
I am so happy to see you get a car like this! Almost as much as if I got it.
You put a lot of work into educating people about automotive engineering and you deserve it more then anyone else. Congrats!
Do you have plans to make any changes to this car, or just leaving it stock for the start?
Stock for now, going to start having some fun with my Integra.
21:06 That is the face of pure joy. I have a BRZ, so not quite as much power, but the sound and pull are amazing.
Thanks! Just wanted the hatch. :)
Yeah I believe the STi uses the same engine, which is what disappointed some people. The WRX gets a new turbo-charged engine though, which is weird.
I am studying to be a mechanical engineer right now and I have loved this car since high school. Its my dream car seems like its yours too. Really happy to see a well put together video on this car!
Thanks, study hard!
Engineering Explained Ha im always studying! you know the drill. What do you plan to do with the car if anything? Or are you going to keep in mainly stock?
Stock, for a good while. Warranties provide excellent piece of mind. :)
Ha this is true! Expecially with an investment like that. Please make more videos with this car!
great to see that you are having fun. :)
Im getting my pickup in september and my license in October
Congrats!
Your first car is going to be an 2014 STi?
I will never forget my buddy's '07 Sti on some crazy back roads...one of the funnest experiences of my life.
About a year ago I was ready for a new car within the $20-30k range and was really leaning towards an Sti but ended up finding an '03 Audi RS6 for $21k. AWD 450hp twin turbo 4.2L V8...even with that under the hood I'm confident most Sti's would easily keep up with it for the most part.
And a warning to anyone who comes across an RS6 like I did - maintenance is very, very costly. No comparison to the Sti.
Damn hopefully they'll bring the hatch back. I really want to upgrade my 02 GTI VR6, But once you go hatch you cant go back.
That's cool that it can change the angle of the headlights via a simple knob. When cars have too much weight in the back, their headlights shine up in the trees; and other cars don't even notice them, because there's no light outline on the ground in front of them.
i don't watch a lot of videos on TH-cam that are longer than 5 mins, but this is a great great video! And congrats on the car man!
I'm the same way, get bored after 5 minutes, if I even make it that long. Thanks for sticking with it!
Great car, man! I love how you've configured your STI. The best color, the best body style. Good luck with that beast!
Thanks, love it!
this is my dream car. but ill be getting the '08 subaru impreza hatch. i saw these hatch like once or twice a month here in the philippines. they're like unicorns
bruuh it is also my dream car
kyle Flores 13 palang ako pero ito dream car ko hahahaha
I have an 08, love it. It's a great little car.
The "stupid" smile says it all (I had the same smile when I bought my last ride and it is very slow in comparison), anyway I call it stupid because it is one we can't hide. Enjoy it a lot man and congratulations for your enthusiasm feeding us with some really accurate car knowledge.
I'm really really happy for you, man. I've learned many from your channel.
Keep up the great works! And congrats!
Congratulations for your STI! I also LOVE this car and will probably get my 2015 STI Sedan this year! Can´t wait!
really happy for you its a great car.
Engineering Explained
In my quest for an exhaust I did not factor in weight AT ALL!
I once had 23 STIs. A quick course of tablets and a cream soon cleared it up.
Glad to hear you're better. Stick to cars next time. :)
Engineering Explained That.... would hurt.... in a very good way. Brb, going to try something. You know, for science.
Enjoy it!!! 😁😁😁👍👍👍
Awesome dude, always wondered when you'd get rid of the Integra.
He didn't lol
If he were, these comments would all be people asking "how much for the Integra?" lol.
The Integra even gets my garage!
The smile on your face when you hit it on the highway says it all. Congrats man, beautiful car.
"Glove box, woooow!" idk why that made me laugh
Great to see someone who knows so much about engineering principles joining the Scooby family! If anyone is buying a second hand STi in the USA in a few years I think this is the man to buy it off - i'd imagine it would be kept in 100% working order!
Talking about fuel costs - you in USA pay about €0.50 per litre for unleaded. Over here we pay currently (it just went down slightly) €1.30 per litre. Now imagine driving a 400bhp tuned/modified STi over here that does an average of 23MPG at that price per litre....not cheap!
Awesome new car!! :)
It's an awesome machine.
did he fart after closing the glove compartment at 7:30
Lmao
LOL
+David Robles LOL I heard it I think he did 6 months later I'm watching this..umm
+David Robles Probably a sound from the seats.
Yep, leather seat creek
Hahah glad you enjoy the videos! I have no plans of slamming this car, ever.
Engineering Explained Thank goodness, these cars aren't meant to drag along the ground. Keep it clean mate. P.s. I'm an engineering student who can't wait to graduate and get one of these cars ;)
Congratulations!! Love the new car! Can't wait to see more videos about it!!!
So jealous.
Awesome Subaru man! Fellow Subaru driver here; I love what mine can honestly do. It's not the performance line, but it's their flag ship line, the Legacy. It's also the wagon version. I absolutely love my car. Keep up the great work and here's to many years of Boxer driving!
I'm about to buy a 05 Impreza WRX STI :)
Awesome!!
And that's how a review is supposed to be done. Perfect to the T!
Manual transmission! Good for you! That always separates the sheep from the goats.
*****
No argument.
I was merely praising Engineering Explained for his decision to buy a vehicle with a manual.
I was not implying that any specific model came without a MT.
ReviewAssUSA
Besides the fact they can shift faster than a manual, and the newer ones are also far more efficient providing less loss to the wheels. There is many reasons they need to exist.
Your not even a good troll.

You wrote: "Your not even a good troll."
You then followed up by writing: "Yeah your a bad troll."
I was going to let both pass, but then you just had to go write: "If you had any ability to read... "
You know, people in glass houses really shouldn't throw rocks.
It's "you're" not "your".
I love you videos because I've learned so much. But the fact that you used to have an Integra makes me respect you so much man. I loved mine when I had it. They're awesome
Now this is a proper car. Save up for a tune. (That`s what I`m doing).
Haha, you also have to save up for damages from the tune once the warranty is voided. I'll enjoy it stock for now. :)
Zack Harkness That's not what the user manual says, and lots of cars now have this feature which aren't rally-bred. :)
Engineering Explained thats true my mitsubishi l200 pick up has them
Hmm. I had always been told the function had been a rallying innovation. But I'm not afraid to admit I'm wrong.
I believe the headlight level control is required in the EU and JDM markets for certain lights, including HID lights.
should have waited for a 2015 sti... other than that congraztss
No hatch, no purchase!
traded in my 2015 wrx to 2014 sti hatchback
no regrets💪🏽
Great choice on the sti ! But will you ever go back to a honda in the future?
If they make the 2005 NSX again! haha, but no they're way too expensive.
this car is my absolute (more affordable) dream car! thanks you for the great in-depth look at the inside of this awesome car
Me too! Very welcome, glad you enjoyed the video!
Congrats man, you deserve it!
But why not a evo?
Thanks
No hatch, no six speed manual, and Subaru has a better placement in the US market.
Engineering Explained What is a hatch? I know what it is in most cases but i don't get it now when talking about cars.. :S
Tom Laumola It's not a type of chili in this context. It's short for "hatchback".
Engineering Explained hey man, props for you answer! good answer.
The smile on your face when you accelerate tells me you love that. Awesome car dude hope you have years of great driving.
How did you mount the camera inside the car while driving? I noticed it was really smooth and almost no shaking at all, I am quite impressed haha
GoPro makes excellent products!
Congrats on joining the Subaru club! Love all of my Subarus as well. Enjoying your page and vids.
