    I am so glad I did the extra week of research instead of just buying the MMU.
    Chameleon has been the greatest tool I have come across. Love your presentation style too. Just a guy that loves his trade.

    The cutter seems like a major improvement

    @3d_chameleon this is fantastic to know! I run multiple multi-colour printers and an SV06 that isn't. I'm so excited to discover that you made Clippy for the SV06 and I love how Chameleon mounts on the SV06, it looks so easy to set up! In Aus, so the only painful part about purchasing is the eye watering freight cost 😱

    Wow, that 3D Clippy is brilliant! I designed my own filament cutter a while back (not published anywhere, because I haven't gotten around to it) based around a linear actuator... but your design is so much simpler, I feel like I should just chuck mine entirely 😁

    Thanks for the video!. The other difference from the prusa is it doesn't have auto load without the 3d Chameleon

      Oh yes... I've actually not had good luck on my Mk3s, so I forgot it since I turned it off.

    Hi Bill, I'm interesting in purchasing a 3D Chameleon very soon but doing some research before I make my purchase. You mentioned a "Horizontal" cutter or moving the cutter to the opposite side as an alternative to the "Vertical" cutter in the video. Could you please share the link to those cutters? I believe one of those may be a better solution for my situation with my SV06 as I have a 5015 fan that takes up a large portion of the side where your vertical cutter is. Mine may interfere with the way the vertical cutter cuts. Thanks in advance for your help!

    i watched 8 of your videos but there was no printing at all, the most important thing is missing ... there should be a test print in the videos, would be much better.

      You should watch the ones with it printing then.

    You say that the filament cutter eliminates tip shaping. Does it also save on time for changing filament? And, does it save on waste material? I can't tell from the video.

    • @williamsteele
      @williamsteele ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, because we no longer need to cool for the tip shaping, the speed does increase per color change by several seconds. As for the waste material, no, the requirement to purge is still exists.

    Are there any good resources for installing this into something like a Neptune 3? Most of the printers I am seeing already have a Boden tube and I am not sure how to get around the Neptune feed in.

    • @williamsteele
      @williamsteele 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The Printer in the video doesn't have a Bowden tube either, it's a direct drive. There are PTFE coupler mounts for most printers. The Neptune 3 (an Elegoo) is similar to most of them, so can easily be adapted to if there isn't one already... but I'm pretty sure someone out there has done it already.

    Is it works with klipper?:)

    • @williamsteele
      @williamsteele 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes, the 3DChameleon is firmware agnostic. It is designed to work with all printers, including those with Klipper.

    wait so it just auto feeds from 5 tubes? I'm a bit confused why the switch has to be there and where the cable goes

    • @williamsteele
      @williamsteele 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The switch triggers our electronics, which control our stepper motors, which select which of the 4 colors to feed into the printer.

    I want to purchase your product but how will i get it to work on a sprite extruder pro from creality🤔

    • @3d_chameleon
      @3d_chameleon  ปีที่แล้ว

      We already have Sprite extruder mounts published on Thingiverse. There are several to choose from, there.

      Any chance you can do a live video of one of these printers showing this product in action. Sovol would be great.

      @@JohnJerde I'm in China until March 5th... but when I get back I will make one. I do have several other videos of other printers actually printing. Check out the Prusa Mini video... it's over 4 hours long of a flag print. I also did one at the Virtual East Coast RepRap Fest live... of their logo... pretty cool video. But our channel has several others as well.
