The biggest problem with Carly is their subscription payment, most people just want to purchase a product without being locked into a yearly subscription and they make it almost impossible for you to cancel the subscription It's a shady business practice at best.

In a 02 e39 530i my new led lights were flickering while driving at night and nobody wanted to "help me/ had a clue" with recoding the car so that it doesnt send a voltage- check to them. I bought carly a few weeks ago and I got rid off the annoying problem at last. I did also coded the car so that it only opens the driver door with 1 touch on the key ( twice to open all four doors and truck ). Not much useful you can do with it in a e39 but it was good for me all the same. As said, Carly worked for me although I wouldn´t mess up with diagnostics because I got errors on the car thankfully easily resolved by itself.
How old is your adapter? I have the generation 2 with the Bluetooth adapter. Doesn't look like yours though. Anyway, I traded in my X5 E53 for an X5 E70 but I can't code my lights with it. Doesn't seem to recognize my model. Ended up buying the Autophix 7910 which I am in the process of learning.
Wow...the fact that you are only supposed to code one thing at a time. Turn off vehicle then turn back on. I only use carly for 3 codes. That's it. BimmerCode for the rest. Excessive coding in one go is a bad idea

Sorry but this is a shit product. I purchased the same devices with fully license and tires on most car and only standard OBD reading is the available. I tired to catch the deep system but “not supported on your car...” The car was e54 x5 Bmw, 2015 Citroen jumper, 2007 wauxhal, 2007 Suzuki, 2015 Peugeot expert,... NOT RECOMMENDED.
Not many people will believe YOU!!! until one day when owners will be desperate to cure the issue. loads of CIC and Clusters been damaged by these units. my favorite one is when Carly brick CAS or FEM module these unit will cut off ignition no engine running, I fix these issues for £600 + towing the car if necessary, I'm happy with kind of jobs better cash for my garage. :)
Hi all!! I know this is not a topic of this video, but please if someone can assist. I own 2003 BMW E46( pre facelift model) Convertible M-Sport. I always wanted to put genuine M3 19" alloy's. As my BMW was on m-sport 18" and it was a bit lowered (i didn't know that or paid attention and i own the car 3ish years) yesterday i installed great condition 19" M3 genuine alloy's. Rear tires are 245/35/19. Front tires are 235/40/19 I did angle suspension adjustment 2 degrees or so. Rear tiers are rubbing of the rear fenders... front tires are sitting fine( maybe 1cm distancer would make front look even better) I now realize that M3 body is wider and thats why alloy's look nice on it. Now, as i put myself into a lot of expenses buying the alloys and new tires i have a problem to solve. 1. Rolling the rear fenders-will it help? 2.installing higher coils to raise the rear of the car for about 2cm as now it sits low, maybe 1 cm arch clearance from the tires and rubbing :( I need solution please, not just comments saying im stupid or whatever, please.

Coding is like modding. Even with a factory scanner, near factory device, or these cheap consumer focused tools, the changes are at the risk of the owner. As Carly clearly indicates the limitations, they are good. If you purchase a particular brand of car more than once, you should definitely buy something better than this if you work on your own cars.

i have carly, ive had carly since it was a one time purchase, so i have the lifetime version. ive changed my battery.. i went from the size 48 battery to the size 49 and successfully coded it. if it wont save, its a bug in the current version. ive also used carly to enable the digital speedometer and let me roll down and up the windows with the key fob. i see that they have changed the UI since ive used the app. also my carly connector is a cable not bluetooth. my car is a 325i e90.
Hey man, have you even seen or heard of head lights and both turn signals flashing (taking there turn flashing/only one set at a time, it that makes sense; ex headlights then both turn signals flash) and also the tail lights and rear turn signals, and on the interior the hazard like blinks/flashes. While this is going on I can’t use turn signals or roll windows up or down. I’ve tested the alternator and battery both seem to be good, so you have any ideas?? I’m completely lost. In need of help. Don’t wanna take it to the stealership.
Carley has caused some electrical issues in my 08 335xi. The first time I coded my drls off, it worked. After I noticed an immediate delay in my ac power. Before, i could turn the ac on max and it would blow at full power as soon as I pressed the button, after i noticed it would get a little slower and slower to build up. I have a bunch of electrical probs, I had two scanners. (They sent two, on accidentally and charged but we rectified that fast.) I wish I had the first one because the back up from the first time I did it would somehow fix a lot i the problems so now I’m hoping MHD stock tune will work.
Totally agree with you, bought Carly for my 2007 BMW X3 3.0 SD. Only 2 modules can be programmed, no service reset - no batter reset - no brake reset - no live data etc etc. Carly refuse to cancel my subscription and refund some of my monthly fees. Paid upfront for a year subscription.

What can you do wrong with for example switch off the Start Stop function? Surely nothing? I used Bimmercode, could I have done anything wrong by just telling my car to remember the last memory of Start Stop?
You should be fine with bimmercode as long as your not doing anything in expert mode (which you might not be familiar with) . I've coded almost every option with Bimmercode and months later no issues at all :)

Of course you should change the fluids. Don't let anyone tell you that it's lifetime fluid either. They need a kick up the backside. I'm not sure what oils your car requires, but do some research and you may even find a better oil than what the factory use. I did just that on my E36 M3. Upgraded my diff and manual gearbox oils and everything feels nicer.

How do they get away with putting this tool out there? This is crazy man, I had a super cheap scope kill a transistor in a pcm when ou wad trying to get some cam/crank waveforms for what I thought was a timing issue. Needless to say by the time I figured it out I was upside down on the job and had to purchase a new pcm plus programming, no charge to the customer. At the end of the day I paid $440, and lost 6 hours to do the job. Thanks for the heads up brotha!
Black 08 E88 125i N52N Auto. I bought a CARLY in the hope of getting all the front lights to all have the same luminosity (very low) with fogs on too at same setting. I also wanted my mirrors to fold on locking and my windows and roof to go up from the key. I have found a few issues of it all wanting to reset once i turned off and on again. £150 down for a years 'subscription' and the adapter. Bit of a con eh!!?!! hi BMW doc, I have an N52N E92 325i, and I have tried BATTERY RESET as per your previous video, but unfortunately, I still get a rough/fluctuating rpm when I start my car, the rpm gets to a stable state after a while at around 550-600 rpm. but I feel at times the rpm goes really low while driving and with AC on I get a vibration or more load my car. I have recently changed spark plugs but I do have a failed o2 sensor on bank 2 sensor 1 with P0051 error. Do u think that is the reason for this or something else? please help! Can u suggest something else please. do u think changing the intake manifold sensor will help!
I recently bought an Autel Maxysis 906BT and am still learning how to use it. I know it's expensive but it's a very decent device and very versatile. If you have one of these or something similar, could you do a tutorial for us ? Whenever I have questions, It's difficult to get answers even from Autel directly. Hey doc i wanted to ask for a opinion from someone who knows what they’re talking about with bmws well i got a 2011 328xi and one day when i shut my car off no lights on or anything i went to go start it up and it had no power what do ever i couldn’t unlock the car or anything no interior lights would come on lights wouldn’t come on at all the service shop said they looked over everything and their us nothing wrong but it happened again like a week later and the tow truck guy was bypassing fuse boxes and nothing he said there was power going to the car but not the battery and then sometime in the ride from when he towed it and it got to the shop it started working again would you happen to have any idea ? thanks for your time doc i appreciate all the vids 🙏🏾
It sound like you just had a loose battery connection bro... make sure the bolts are tightened down all the way on your battery so theres no weak connection

Carly fried my E70 FRM module. Like an idiot, I used it on my F15 2 years later and it fried my seat control module.

to be fair, they've given plenty of warnings about being sure you know what you're doing...plenty of OBD readers out there that say nothing.

Service/ Brakes/ DPF and other things you have to reset them via iDrive... everything is so simple, no need for a tool to reset ez things.

Hi bmw doctor, didn't know where to post this so here it is 😅 i have a e60 523i 2006, is there anyway i could get some extra power out of the car such as putting a 530i intake manifold on or is that even possible? Is there a way any way to get some extra horses? Any help would be appreciated.

hi BMW doc, I have an N52N E92 325i, and I have tried BATTERY RESET as per your previous video, but unfortunately, I still get a rough/fluctuating rpm when I start my car, the rpm gets to a stable state after a while at around 550-600 rpm. but I feel at times the rpm goes really low while driving and with AC on I get a vibration or more load my car. I have recently changed spark plugs but I do have a failed o2 sensor on bank 2 sensor 1 with P0051 error. Do u think that is the reason for this or something else? please help! Can u suggest something else please. do u think changing the intake manifold sensor will help!

I recently bought an Autel Maxysis 906BT and am still learning how to use it. I know it's expensive but it's a very decent device and very versatile.
If you have one of these or something similar, could you do a tutorial for us ?
Whenever I have questions, It's difficult to get answers even from Autel directly. They never respond and the internet isn't as big as it seems sometimes.

Hey doc i wanted to ask for a opinion from someone who knows what they’re talking about with bmws well i got a 2011 328xi and one day when i shut my car off no lights on or anything i went to go start it up and it had no power what do ever i couldn’t unlock the car or anything no interior lights would come on lights wouldn’t come on at all the service shop said they looked over everything and their us nothing wrong but it happened again like a week later and the tow truck guy was bypassing fuse boxes and nothing he said there was power going to the car but not the battery and then sometime in the ride from when he towed it and it got to the shop it started working again would you happen to have any idea ? thanks for your time doc i appreciate all the vids 🙏🏾
It sound like you just had a loose battery connection bro... make sure the bolts are tightened down all the way on your battery so theres no weak connection
