Very good video. I have just bought the Benz version and this has helped me understand it more. I thought for resetting things like oil for example after a change you had to purchase it from the store but it’s all in the diagnostic section. Thank you 👍
Can you code fuel injectors on benz with your device?
I bought the Creator C501 for my BMWs. I used it to reset an airbag light that I tripped when I removed an airbag. It was a bit tricky to clear the code because I had to go into “Body” then the “A” pillar to get to the side airbag. What a great decide for $59.

Thank you for posting this video. I am a new subscriber to your channel. I just purchased this tool from Amazon and your video was very helpful. I do have a question. On Amazon it shows that the device can be used to program remote keys. I did not see anything in the user manual about this function. Can you help? I have a 2012 335i retractable hardtop with only 40k miles.
You should see IMMO. That will allow you to register already programmed key. This will not program a key. You can also assign different values to the key, make it primary/secondary etc.
can it reprogram a new DME to accept old key for engine swap? or Sync the EWS with new DME?

Welcome to the channel!
If the BMW scanner says it’s ‘full system’ or if you watch my videos and I say the scanner can ready ALL modules, it will show codes and live data for your convertible top. The only difference you’ll see is if it adds actuation testing (bi directional) or coding (changing preferences on the module.
If it’s not full system, I’ll say something like “will read modules on ‘these (ABS, E CU etc.)’ systems”.

Can it do a adaptation value like o2,,idle actuator..throttle actuator,,catalyst adaptation?
Ended up purchasing one of these devices and the touch was way out of place. I had to press the shift key to hit Q. However, after updating the system not the "upgrade" menu, this was completely solved. Go to Settings > About > Version and then Detect system update.

There are some settings in the car on the CIC without the need for this device.
Hi, got this thing to scan for error codes & personalize my lights (use angel eyes as DRL). This is Canadian car (2009, 323i only sold here) its basically a 328i base model with 2.5L. N52. I dont see options in menue of coding, does this mean its not available for me or am i doing something wrong?

Around here the WAZE iPhone app is supposed to help with problems ahead...I haven't tried it yet.
Also bought this device, works great for troubleshooting but cant get the coding to work… as for example i cant get the CIC to open keep getting an no coding data error. So might be better of with the bimmerapp…

Would this be worth getting if I already have the FoxWell NT520? I use it on a 1998 528i.
Probably not for a 1998 year vehicle, those were still fairly limited in what they offered through OBD2.
I've noticed I needed the 18-pin adapter cable to plug into the port in the engine bay. After I got the new one, I found one in my box o' diagnostic crap lol

Hi can this reset frm module on bmw e90 320d. Short circuit error
I'm not 100% on the FRM module, but I just used it yesterday to reset the convertible module on my Z4. So, if that functional is available in the actuation testing, then yes.

@@SimpleCarGuy Thanks. I'm wary of Launch because they left me hanging with the very convenient to haul around Easy Diag. they just inhabilitated the device to work after the support period. And it didn't work w/o connection so it was really useless while on actual trips and such, where you need a easy, portable scanner the most.

For bmw only?
Yes, it’s make specifically for BMWs. It will do regular OBD2 functionality on other cars, but not any of the specialty stuff like reading modules or service functions.
Ekpms3 module. Can't get an answer from the site. I need to replace this module,but apparently I have to code it. And register battery. Who wants to get stuck with something you can't use. Thank you

Does this have to be connected to the internet when using in the car? If so, that's a deal breaker.
It does not have to be connected to internet. Only for updating or if you'd like to share reports etc.
@@SimpleCarGuy OK thanks. I've ordered one for my Dad as he likes tinkering with cars. Another You Tuber said it needs an internet connection for it to work, so the car has to be near a wifi point or it has to be plugged into a phone.

I would stay far away from this scanner .of the 3 companies I have used to code my 2015 535i. This is the only one that has not been able to. I emailed the company 3 times, no response.

Yeah this one is going back for me too. Allows me to look at the coding menus in my f02 Alpina but doesn’t write/code any of the changes i make. Always gives an error message
